- desi12015 (10/5): Easily the best hotel I have stayed in northern Ireland - We booked a one stay at the chimney corner hotel, their was 3 of us .our room had a double bed and 2 single beds , the beds are the most comfortable beds ever , the hotel has recently been done up .their was 3 lovely soft chairs in the room for our comfort as well .the flat screen TV was the biggest I ever seen in a hotel room , new carpets throughout, the bathroom was tiled beautifuly with a rainfall shower and plenty of fresh towels . It was so quiet in the rooms quarantine good night's sleep .the lady in reception was so friendly and professional .this is easily the best hotel I have stayed in northern Ireland.
- darlong23 (10/5): Super Night - Fantastic night in the Chimney Corner. Friendly atmosphere and our waitress Martine was brilliant - couldn't have asked for more! Would recommend to anyone. If you haven't been before, make sure you go...
- 549jeanm (10/5): Excellent bed and breakfast stay - We were delighted with our stay. The room was modern, stylish and very comfortable. The en suite shower room was well designed and finished to a high standard.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and served to our table. The produce was high quality and attractively presented. You wouldn't get any better in a 5* hotel.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Externally, the Chimney Corner looks unremarkable and it is on a busy road on the outskirts of Belfast but inside, it is warm, clean and comfortable, with modern tasteful decor. It offers excellent value for money. We would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and tidy and good food
- Stephen (10/5): - Couldnāt fault anything
- DavidBrownlee67 (4/5): Good food but poor service - Recently my family and I went for dinner and drinks, I must say I cannot fault the food but the service was poor between waiting on orders being took while staff were standing talking, laughing etc to the boy that was behind the bar that was on his phone all night making us feel very unwelcome as we felt like we were interrupting him being on his phone.
- RonSmith17 (10/5): Work weekend - I have stayed Friday and Saturday night, the food was really good, bed comfortable room was quiet, the staff are friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend staying and would stay again when Iām over here
- Samuel (10/5): Excellent - Booked this to check out the refurb on hotel and go to the night club next door....wasnāt disappointed refrub is amazing bed comfy room beautiful.
Food in restaurant was amazing.
Night club Which is not part of hotel ...so donāt expect to get in free as a hotel guest... was on till 3am and we had a great night.
Will be back here for a wee treat very soon
- Hannah (10/5): Great stay. - Easy and quick check in service. Very friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities were a bonus.
- Stephen (10/5): - Friendly staff nice rooms nice food would recommend and definitely will be using this hotel again
- F5555QIkenh (10/5): Christmas party. - Fabulous evening with friends. Food service and staff all brilliant. Couldnāt fault anything tonight. Food hot and tasty. Music great. Thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by 9 of us. No complaints. Would definitely recommend. Hard to get everything right on party nights but they did. Free bubbly on arrival. Turkey ham sausages. 3 types of potatoes. Christmas pudding lovely and homemade mince pies. Soup very tasty. Tea and coffee.
- Cm140279 (10/5): Christening - My family and I celebrated my niece's christening in the hotel this month. The staff were extremely helpful especially one young man by the name of Ryan. He couldn't have been more helpful. He was extremely quick at clearing the tables, helpful at getting the food out and no request was too much for him. He was very polite and respectful to anyone he dealt with. Ryan deserves a special thank you for helping make an important day run smoothly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A little bit away from the city, but a great, quiet hotel.
- clairemW6036HN (8/5): Pleasantly surprised - Went for Sunday lunch at 1pm and restaurant basically empty. Not sure why as we were all really pleased with our food and the vfm. Staff very pleasant too. Roasts available as well as burgers etc. Nothing too out there just well cooked crowd pleases.
- OnAir45410657613 (10/5): Date night stay - My wife and I had our wedding reception here over 40 years ago. We decided to revisit after such a long time. We booked an overnight date night stay. We were surprised by the Team when they upgraded us to the Bridal Suite. It was great. We enjoyed some prosecco at the bar. Had a lovely 3 course meal. The following morning we had a very nice cooked breakfast. Well worth the visit overall. The young team at the hotel did extremely well. Thanks to all!
- Alex (10/5): - Great hotel. Everything has been recently renovated. Couple good restaurants close by. Just a little ways from downtown
- 435nicolap (10/5): Delicious lunch and so reasonably priced - We had a lovely lunch at Jaspers today. I had the steak sandwich and my husband opted for the prawn salad. Loved it! Food delicious, service great and atmosphere warm and friendly. We will definitely be back and would recommend a visit. Thank you!
- ardnamaraa (10/5): Renewing our vows - My hubby and I decided to have our marriage blessed at the Chimney Corner, after a friend recommended it when she had her sons 21st birthday there. A young lady called Maureen is the events organiser and she was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. We booked it in July for October 18th and she was always on hand to answer any questions that popped up in the mean time and was more than happy to let us visit her to go over fine details... In other words, she truly bent over backwards to make sure we knew and was comfortable with the order of events. What a fantastic experience! The room we booked for the venue/evening do was newly refurbed and very classy... The staff were amazingly friendly and so helpful, and poor old Charmaine who was working the bar until 3am was tortured by us last few stragglers who refused to go to bed and leave her in peace, but considering the time and the fact that she wasnāt supposed to be working that night, she was absolutely awesome and couldnāt have been more friendly and patient, that girl deserves a bonus!! All the staff from the bars wished us well as they said goodnight to go home and I honestly have no complaints at all about the whole experience. The prices for the guests to stay overnight were discounted, and the bridal suite is palatial! If I could give this hotel more stars I would... Check out their prices for the wedding package, they are very very reasonable and You wonāt be disappointed with the experience at all. Next big get together we have is definitely going to be at the Chimney Corner for sure!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The best breakfast. Not a million choices but sometimes thatās too much.
Good food. Nice staff. Nothing too much trouble.
- 1DavidOutdoors (10/5): Great spot - Great little spot, just a few mins drive outside the city, lots of free parking, nice food. Martine, Brittany, Victoria and the rest of the staff couldnāt be more helpful...stay here regularly with work, good value...
- Andy (10/5): Working nights - Working away and needed a quiet comfy twin room for 2 nights.Hotel was perfect for what we needed.Nice bar with sky sports and the Seafood Chowder was absolutely amazing.
Possibly working in the area again soon and will definitely be staying hereš
- janeeshields2018 (10/5): Lovely place great people - I stayed at Chimney Corner for 3 nights during a business trip to Northern Ireland and can honestly say that the place and the staff were great. I ate at the restaurant each night and the food was fantastic and fab value for money.
Thanks to Britney and the rest of the staff for a really pleasant stay.
- Coz_11 (10/5): Very impressed! - It's been nearly 20 years since I last darkened the door of the Chimney Corner - it was the venue chosen for my parents' funeral receptions so it's held a place in my heart for many years. Over the last 20 years I've noticed the deterioration of the building with dismay and sadness. It was therefore great to visit the restaurant again and see the improvements that the relatively recent new owners have invested.
The place is looking great, modern and clean. The staff were cheerful and efficient, the guy in the restaurant never stopped! The lunch menu was well priced and the food was delicious, well presented and so tasty. Lunch was a really pleasant experience - full credit to everyone.
The newly refurbished place deserves to be a success. Indeed, some other establishments in the vicinity could take lessons in customer care from the Chimney Corner. We'll done!
- michael (10/5): Swedish cleanliness and decor. Simply sublime. - Modern, clean, sleek privacy. Diamond in the rough. Well done chimney corner, well done!
- BELLTRIP2010 (8/5): Sunday lunch opportunity - We went with my mother in law, who's 86, for a traditional Sunday lunch, just a main course. The restaurant was quiet at 1pm with 2 small families as the only clients there.
My wife and her mother had the same, ie stuffed chicken with pepper sauce and I had the pork loin.
Mine was sizeable and very tasty, the chicken was a little short on actual meat but again very tasty. Excellent value for both and attentive staff.
If you're local, just give it a visit.
- LulaMaloon (10/5): Gorgeous food! - I came with my family to eat at the restaurant inside this hotel. Their food was delicious, service was impeccable as the waiting staff were all polite and friendly. I highly recommend this place as I greatly enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere of the place as well!
- mangetout70 (10/5): Welcoming - We can all pick on negatives, but I will only point out the good parts that in my opinion out way any negatives.
This hotel has recently had a make over & gone from 2 star - 3 star.
Trust me when I say they deserve it.
Rooms are brilliant. I know 4 star that are not as comfortable as this or look as good. Great space, relaxing & WiFi in bathroom for picking up your own music, just fun.
But, what gives a great smile on my face are the staff. Reception team thank you for being so down to earth & good at what you do.
Although at times a little busy for staffing levels, again to restaurant & bar staff thank you for being so friendly & accommodating.
To the hotel management may this continue from someone who has recommended coming here every month for a period of 5 days at timeš
- Ciara (8/5): - We had a lovely stay, the hotel is much nicer in reality than advertised. Receptionist Lyndsey was extremely nice and helpful.
- MGCGT (10/5): First class food & service - Recently our M.G. Owners' Club group of 32 members went back to this hotel for an evening meal after one of our regular classic car events. We had not been to this venue for many years as it had gone down hill at that time. We had heard it was now running under new owners and we decided to give it a try as our event was in the area. We had booked and pre ordered because of the size of our group ( 32 for the meal ). We had a great meal and the service was excellent as well. I would go as far as saying it was one of the best meals our group has had so far during this 2019 season.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Remodeled with a twist of authentic in the bar. Great food and helpful staff. Rooms nice and new
- Kevin (10/5): - Very comfortable hotel and very convenient for Belfast and north Antrim coast
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good location, quiet room, friendly staff. Plenty of parking.
- Graham (8/5): Business trip - Iāve stayed here on numerous occasions before it was renovated & itās a bit different now!!
Alright so the price has gone up a bit but itās still good value.
Food in bar/restaurant excellent & reasonable price.
Will definitely stay again when in Belfast area
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly staff, good food, very comfortable bed!
- John V (6/5): Possibly would not return! - Water system in bedroom created high noise a few times overnight in bedroom.
Roof leaks observed at two locations in the hotel.
Waiter service personality at breakfast was "cold" as also commented on by my work colleague.
No Irish TV channels available. Why ??
- Samantha (10/5): Lovely room and great staff - Very comfy bed and lovely decor. Breakfast was tasty. I had a room at the front, so there was traffic noise and smoke drifting up from the smokers outside, so I would ask for a room at the back next time.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and tidy great staff and a pleasure to stay x
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful hotel - Always a friendly welcome. Rooms are stylish and the bathrooms are immaculate. Ate in the bar, nice atmosphere. The āJosper Stackā is my favourite, the steak is cooked exactly as ordered. Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A real gem! - A beautifully decorated, clean hotel with friendly staff. I had dinner in Jospers with family and we all enjoyed it. The seafood chowder was exceptionally lovely. The bedrooms do miss some bedside lighting - it's the "big light" or nothing here!
- Charles (8/5): Working around Belfast - excellent location for travelling outside of the city good bus link to the airport
- glynda (10/5): Very Plesant stay - Very pleasant overnight stay and the staff were very helpful, obliging and curtious.
- Paula (10/5): My stay at The Chimney Corner Hotel - The staff were friendly, helpful & welcoming. The food was very good and my room was warm, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely too. The hotel has improved vastly since I last visited (which was a few years ago). I suggested that there should be a mirror in the bedroom and the receptionist informed me that this was something that was being sorted out in the next few weeks.
- Michael (10/5): Perfect - Lovely hotel which has recently been completely renovated. Room was perfect and breakfast was excellent. Could not fault this hotel.
