I originally booked the Dolphin Room, but upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a loft room. The extra space and cozy layout made the stay even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the location was very convenient for exploring Avalon. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. I really appreciated the complimentary upgrade—it made the experience feel extra special. I would definitely stay here again and recommend Seacrest Inn to anyone visiting Catalina Island.

- David (10/5): - Such an amazing boutique hotel. I credibly friendly and helpful staff. Room was super clean and oh man was the bed comfortable. I fell straight asleep every night and had a hard time waking up only because I was so cozy. Recommend the Queen Loft if it's available. Comes with a giant two person jacuzzi tub and a double head shower! Also has access to a seriously great rooftop with spot to lounge and also grill if you wanted. Nice views of the harbor from up there. Location wise, everything is within a few minutes walk of the Seacrest Inn. It's so perfectly located. On a side note, try the beignets at the little Chinese spot one street over, they'll change your life. The Seacrest Inn is the best place to stay in Avalon hands down. No complaints here.
- Victor (3/5): Unfortunately won’t be staying there again. - The pros i would say this hotel has is the friendly welcome you receive when arriving at the hotel and rooftop patio. You are able to sit and enjoy the view of the ocean . What i didn’t like are several things. First, the noise factor. We were not told or was it mentioned in the listing of this hotel, that you can hear every golf cart, car, and, motorcycle that passes by at any hour of the day or night and time. The room my fiance and i got was directly up the stairwells end which made it uncomfortable because that very narrow stairwell created a very loud echo for everything and everyone that passed by the hotel entrance. Not to mention the gap under our door that let in the noise even more. The hotel does leave you earplugs by the bed, i guess to block out the noise, but honestly, i have never had to use earplugs at any other hotel stay i’ve had. Second, the toilet was not secured to the floor, so every time we sat or stood up from the toilet it shifted and banged against the back wall. Third, It had a jet tub which was nice but we didn’t use, the problem was the curtain rod only ran half way across the tub and not covering the whole tub making it very difficult for one person to shower let alone two. But the thing that we disliked the most, was the steps to the entrance. They are very unsafe and high and there is no sign posted up of any kind alerting customers to watch their step. My fiance ended up having a minor fall down those exact entrance steps leaving the the hotel on our last day and even though the hotel office door is right by the entrance steps and the manager was there at the time, no one came out to assist or even to ask what had happened. Luckily, my fiance didn’t get badly hurt and didn’t want to make a big deal about the fall, but i felt that i needed to write what happened to us so that maybe it will help other customers.

- Margaret (7/5): Great Location for a stay in Avalon. - I was here for multiple nights. This is an older hotel and in some places shows its age. It was perfect for what I needed. It was easy walking distance to the ferry and to most places in Avalon. I found the staff to be wonderful, always pleasant and looking for ways to make my stay great. I did enjoy the roof top terrace that has great views of the city. I would stay here again.

- Gardner (9/5): - Words can not properly explain how fantastic this hotel is!! It's the best stay on the island in my opinion and I'll probably never stay anywhere else. The staff is amazing. If you need sleek, new modern hotels, that's cool and this might not be your spot, because it is older. Some of the reviews are accurate that is has thin walls and is not some newer, shiny hotel. Older building, thin walls. None of this was an actual problem though.

- Linda (8/5): Everything i needed for my 2 night stay. - No breakfast, but lots of restaurants in Avalon. Tiny room, but clean with fridge, microwave and air conditioner. Top deck with great views. All needs met. Steep stairs to room, but manageable.

They let us store our bags in their office before and after our stay. The room and the hotel is very tired. Could use an update. The spa tub was great but also very worn. I can not really knock the hotel too much but the wifi was down for the two nights we were there because of the wind storm that happened.

- Louise (9/5): Good place to stay on Catalina Island. - The loft was a large room. The upstairs balcony was very nice and had an excellent view of the ocean. We were in walking distance of restaurants, shops, the beach. We would stay here again. Since we were on the top floor, people moving the chairs on the overhead balcony at night was noisy.

- Michael (10/5): Great stay in Avalon - Cute little older home right in the heart of the village. The staff was super helpful and allowed us to store our luggage there while we were out touring the next day. The rooftop deck of the house was great for watching the evening sunset and activities in town. The room and house are somewhat older, but we’re very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay there. Would love to go back again if we’re on the island.

It also had a fan, heater, and air conditioner. The closet was a good size, and there was a dresser too. The bathtub/ shower combo was a bit strange. Because of the bathtub spout, you had to be very careful when closing the curtain because otherwise the floor got wet. It also was a bit noisy, but they do supply earplugs. The floor was also a bit sandy in places.

- Romana (10/5): We had a great "staycation". - The location of the hotel is very convenient to reach from the dock. It's only a block from the main strip. The room and the bed were very comfortable. We were greeted by Amber at check in, who was always friendly and accommodating during our stay. I can't think of anything I didn't like about the hotel or location, other than the area is a bit noisy during the day due to the hustle and bustle of the golf carts and foot traffic. However, we weren't in our room during the day. The evening was much quieter as the city goes to bed early. We had a good night's sleep.
- Deborah (10/5): Do I location, delightful staff, would stay here again. - Staff friendly & helpful. Had luggage storage. Corner room in a building on the corner. Golf carts very loud and frequent. Complementary earplugs were provided. Used white noise on the cell phone, which worked well. Room small, but comfortable for one person.

- Lydia (10/5): Wonderful family trip at a perfect location. - The location is amazing! The cottage we stayed in is so unique and was perfect for us. The management was so accommodating and were extremely friendly. They helped make our trip stress free and created some very special memories for our family. There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like about our stay.

- Shannon (9/5): I would recommend! - Location, staff, rooftop deck, checking in early! Bathrooms could use a little upgrade. The bottom rooms slightly noisier.
- Connie (8/5): If I come back to Avalon, it would be the first place I would try to stay at. - Amber greeted me and was very friendly and helpful. I love some diving boots behind and the person working the emails today saidthey would mail them to me. The deck was great, was reasonably priced and had a lot of extra touches Everything was fine.

- Jerri (10/5): - The only thing I would change is remove the fire place and put in a dresser. There was a small closet but would have loved a dresser for convenience. We ended up leaving most of our clothing in our suitcases the whole time.

- Petra (3/5): Overpriced - The bed was very soft, so you feel every small movement of the other person. There is a lot of noise from the street and no good windows.

- Elaine (10/5): Wish we had more than one night! - Super cute, centrally located, very comfortable accommodation. Roof deck is pretty unique and has wonderful views. Friendly staff. Everything was good!

- Joan (6/5): - Staff very nice and accommodating. The property is very run down and needs work. Room very dark, windows small. Using smart tv was pointless, no cable or satellite availability. Needed to have your own streaming accounts. Which if you did, the internet was very spotty and was off line more than it was on. Needed towels in evening, staff left at 4:00. Bed very uncomfortable.

- William (9/5): - Spacious room with a huge bathtub. Front desk was very helpful holding luggage when needed and providing help with transportation. Will book again if I come back.
