- FELICIA (9/5): Stay was pleasant but too short. I'll be sure to walk around nearby downtown Oswego my next visit. - The location was an ideal distance from both the college and retail options. The breakfast was hot and fresh, and had a good variety to choose from. The dining staff was lovely as always. I was pleasantly surprised by our two-room suite, as it was equipped with a kitchenette; normally, we stay in a single room with two double beds. Also, with the room being on the top floor, I was able to see the little riverside greenway/walking path. I didn't have time to take a dip in the pool that's located at the Best Western. I will be sure to remedy that on my next visit.

- Samantha (6/5): - I like the close to everything The parking has to be fixed, the hotel people should not have to park on the streets. , they should be able to get parking spots over vistors, the check-in person was not friendly this time,and I was never told about the breakfast and where it was located or times. I visited that hotel a couple of times and never told about the breakfast. Also, the room was not as cleaned. There was still a dental pick on the floor, a water bottle in the night stand.

Food was very good - decent free breakfast- facilities were very nice. Location was excellent. Lower level room was a bit loud. Had to unplug the fridge.

- Rebecca (4/5): - We stayed on the 4th floor and there was a terrible smell of cigarette smoke. We looked and it said it is a non smoking hotel but they must not enforce that. We had to keep the window open in our room all night to clear out some of the smell.
- Rodney (9/5): It was great and staff was friendly and very helpful! - We ended up arriving a day prior to our booking because of weather, and had made a separate reservation. We were in two different rooms for the different bookings and really didn’t want to unpack our first room at the 11am check out time, and hang onto our luggage until 4pm check in time. We mentioned this to the front desk- and the first person we talked to basically said we had no option. We decided to mention it again in the morning, and the girl that helped us was extremely helpful! She worked with housekeeping to be sure our new suite was clean and ready for us to check in BEFORE we checked out of the first room! We also had a great experience with the ladies at breakfast each of the 3 mornings we were there. It was my daughter’s birthday and they made her feel so special, and we’re just genuinely so friendly with our kids! Breakfast was great too. We enjoyed our time in the waterpark as well. All around a great experience. The only thing that we didn’t love, was a barking dog one of the nights around bed time. It was constant. And the band that played at the restaurant on Saturday night was very loud in our room. We had a sound machine so it wasn’t a huge deal.

High touch areas appeared to be wiped down, but there were a lot of mysterious random splatters in different of parts of the room, which was really off-putting. The bed was uncomfortable with weird tiny square pillows.

Well, we didn’t expect the room wasn’t cleaned up at all. We arrived 1am with our kids and the room was disgusting, black hair all over the bed, bedsheets, pillows and bathroom flooring. This not what you except for $200/night.

We went down to lobby to ask for more and were told they would send someone up... no one showed up. Thank God we had our own kleenex in our car for backup!

- Rose (5/5): Disappointed - It was close to the oswego college I booked a room with 2 queen size beds cause it was myself, my husband, and my 20-year-old son. When we got there and checked in. I was told they upgraded us. We went up to the room, it was a suite with 1 king-size bed . How in the heck are we supposed to sleep. I went back down, and he apologized and got us a rollaway .They never contacted me about an upgrade. Also, the tolet wouldn't flush . Had to fix it. I think they did this cause I went through a 3rd party.

Never came to clean room which I was only there two days so no bug deal. But with only small trash can it wa filled up from restaurant to go container.

- Melissa (9/5): Clean and great stay! - We really liked the Suite set up we had and the view of the river/lake was nice! The breakfast was good each morning and the ladies running it were very nice. Everyone we came across at the front desk was nice and helpful and always said hello. Having the restaurant in the hotel was also convenient when it was snowing and blowing outside, too, so we didn't have to leave. I would stay here again! Only 1 thing that kind of bothered us: the bathroom size. The bathroom was very small and we didn't like that there isn't a proper door or curtain on the shower, but that's just a personal preference so as not to get half the bathroom wet in the process. It's just one of those half glass walls with the open doorway into it.

- Heather (8/5): My first time here - I did like the splash indoor waterpark. Liked the outside showers to rinse off and locker rental. I like that there was a restaurant open after 8pm. The make your own hot breakfast with the waffles especially. I didn't like that you spent money on an arcade card, and then six of the games my daughter wanted to play were broken or out of order yet still took money off her card. The ice machine area on the 4th floor wasn't in a lit area, creepy at night. The staff at check-in definitely could have been more communicative about the breakfast times and location in the hotel, also about 24/7 amenities like the coffee in the room behind the front desk. This was my first time staying here, and none of this information was given unless asked. It would also be useful for guests if there was a book in the rooms stating all this info or about places in the surrounding area in case the front desk hadn't relayed this information.

- Heather (9/5): Welcoming staff and outstanding breakfast! - Location was great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating with a late check out request. But the real star of our stay was the breakfast - really outstanding variety, well stocked, and some of the best cooked/tasting I've had in the middle tier, US chain hotel continental breakfasts category (probably 50 hotel stays in the past 10 years). Bacon was cooked well and crisp, there was an assemble-your-own strawberry shortcake with yummy biscuits, and they even had peaches with cottage cheese available in waiting to ask the standard offerings - the hash browns were actually browned and not soggy, the coffee tasted good on it's own, and the pastry selection included mini Belgian waffles that were delicious. Whoever plans the breakfast spread deserves credit, and the cooks really know and care about their food and it shows. The two breakfast staffers I talked with were delightful and very helpful as I needed to take our food back up to the room. Room had an unusual smell, but we did need a dog friendly room so that likely contributed. HVAC fan made a high pitched whine when it turned on so we just kept it off which made the room stuffy and probably didn't help with the smell.

- Peter (6/5): - Can't beat the location. Water views, and an indoor water park for kiddos. It's a no frills, budget friendly hotel that is beyond its prime. The older carpets, furniture, elevator, and HVAC system could all use updating. Our room had an indescribable funk to it that could only be attributed to the age of the building.

The bathroom was so small the door’s gonna smack smack you in the knees if you’re on the toilet. The tub looked like the cleaning crew forgot to clean it.

Before I made the reservations I called to make sure there would be adequate parking for my 26ft boat and truck. I was assured there’d be plenty of room. After I checked in and asked where the best place to park would be I was informed they could not accommodate and if I took up to many spaces the owner would have my boat and truck towed. I immediately cancelled the reservations and had to scramble to find other accommodations. I’m currently still waiting to be reimbursed.

The picture you show is from the Best Western Hotel next door to the Clarion which Is where I thought I booked our room. Instead we stayed at the Clarion which has lousy housekeeping services and NO POOL OR HOT TUB. They want you to purchase tickets to their SPLASH water park. Overall it was disappointing but the hotel and front desk lady were ok.

- James (10/5): - we stayed in 3 rooms during our emergency trip to n.y. room 402 was fine. no problem at all. clean and smelled good. The 2nd room we stayed in which was this night was 503 we call it spider room. We had spiders on the walls near the window, near the fridge, in the closet and bathroom. also the bathroom itself looked like mold on the walls and ceiling. I really dont like to complain but this was bad. even woke up twice during the night and had spiders crawling on me. Then our 3rd room which was 401 was excellent. wish we could of gotten this room the whole stay but like i said it was an emergency trip to n.y. and had to book what we could. The staff was excellent. Can say they were very helpful and very polite and informative about stuff we had questions about and the kids had questions about. The breakfast was one of the best parts especially for the kids they really enjoyed it with so many different items to chose from and eat and drink they really did love it. Also the water park was great for the kids got them off grandma for the day as grandma isnt doing too well. Other then room 503 we had an excellent stay and loved it. We thank you all for the great staff and great property yall have there in oswego n.y.

I would definitely book this again for college visits. Only downside is parking, as is at a premium during dining hours. Street parking is a safe option as well.
