- Audrey (2/5): - The room had a fresh coat of paint. Other than that I can not say that anything else was enjoy able. At the very first they told me i had to pay $50 cash at rhe check in desk. Not that i had any issues paying the deposit that I am used to paying. But my credit card was already charged the $50 before I reached the front desk. Informed me that I was not allowed guest ,not even if my husband came up for the night and if i didn't like the rules they had I could go elsewhere. Very unprofessional. Then the 1st room I went into had roaches big cockroaches and the other litle gross ones. The room had a mildew smell and the furniture was rusting thur the new coat of paint. So i was moved to the 2nd room where the bugs were gone but there was literally no blankets to cover and sleep under. I have never been to a place that had a curtian material as blankets the doors all stayed locked ans made the guest walk around thw put aide of thw building to acces the ice machine and laundry. Rhe room was dirty and looks like it was in desprate need of a deep clean . This lication never has to worry about me stoping in to stay woth them again. It was the worst experiance that I have had.

- Robert (8/5): - Other than check-in being a bit longer than expected and a few hairs on the sheets of both beds, the big banana isn’t the fault of the hotel. Be aware that using a third-party to book a room means you’re stuck with what you get. We overlooked the small print: The tiny word that says SMOKING ROOM. The clerk, professional and courteous, offered an upgrade at a cost but emphasized they dog the room. It didn’t take long to adjust. It wasn’t near as bad as a smoking room on 14th St in NYC where rooms are rented by the hour, IF you know what I mean. In this era where smoking rooms are practically obsolete we “ass-umed” it was a nonsmoking room. In to the good stuff. Everything worked fine and the room’s mostly clean. Traffic noise wasn’t bad. Easy parking and on/off I10. Riverside restaurant is near and worth it! The smart TV is only smart if you have the matching Samsung phone. You get what you pay for and for less than 70 bucks it was worth it.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is very nice, clean and remodeled. The owner lives in property and is always available. The rooms do lack a few amenities. The biggest one for me was a closet. I was in Houston to attend a family event and had no where to hang my dress. There is plenty of space for a closet or something like it in the room. Also it would be nice to have thicker blankets the ones provided were very thin. Otherwise I would recommend staying here and would return. Nice value. Nice staff.
- Adrian (2/5): Not worth it - nasty as F_ck! - This was a horrible experience. I accidentally choose a smoking room but the counter clerk changed my room to non-smoking however when we opened the door the beds had cigarette burn holes on the thin comforter and dead bug carcasses underneath the sheets. I cant positively confirm whether they were bed bugs but it's a strong possibility. There were two dead roaches on the room door that had been smashed, & not killed by spray. After leaving to get bug spray and disinfectant, I re-opened the door and a live roach was underneath son's belongings to which I quickly sprayed and killed. The bathroom never even had clean full toilet tissue rolls, just the half-used rolls left by the last guests. I asked a different clerk the next day for new sheets and requested the room be thoroughly cleaned and he stated okay but when we got back the same sheets we're there. The bed was made, however, but when I pulled the sheets back I noticed bug carcasses again. Our door wasn't weather-stripped so I believe the bugs came in from outside but since we spent so much money and couldn't get a refund we stuck it out. Be aware that the pictures are misleading. This isn't a place I would recommend to anyone. I saw reviews, where the place got 3 out of 5 stars and the low ranking, was only due to customer service issues or customer misunderstandings but this place is horrible. I didn't take pics but have no reason to lie. I was embarrassed and won't be cheap again.

When the office gave us some, the tv still didn’t work and she acted as if we were inconveniencing her so we stayed in a room with no tv. While I was taking a shower the shower head flew off and hit me; when I told the front desk staff I was told “well, you look fine to me”. On top of all that, there were roaches in my room and tenants playing loud music in their cars while I was trying to sleep.

- Carrie (2/5): Horrible Hospitality - Staff didn’t want to honor Expedia deal. Accused us of smoking in our room. Also, accused us of having a dog in our room. Neither of which were true. Seemed more like a ploy to make up for their financial loss from the Expedia deal. We will never stay at any hotel in this chain ever again. The hotel industry is a hospitality based business and this hotel is sorely lacking.
