• Nicole (7/5): - Everything was very basic. It had a clean and a comfortable bed. There is a bit of road noise but it didn’t affect us.

• Ida (3/5): I’d pay the fee - Location was easy to find. Staff did their best There was no heat in my room. They had to find me a space heater. You can hear every single truck on the hwy as if the bed were on the shoulder. Charge $25 PER pet which I’ve only been charged at higher end hotels. The curtains don’t quite touch so the sunset orange lights of the highway beam into the room.

Bathroom only toilet and shower, no sink, very small, plumbing antiquitated. Floor uneven. Noisy, situated directly at the highway. Staff not at the location and unavialbe on the phone.

• Sam (2/5): - Nobody there at check in at 7:00pm. Called numerous times. I booked a room with two Queen beds. We had a Queen and a single.
• Karen (6/5): - This was neither a deer. Nor a view. Nor a lodge. It was mostly clean. Mostly comfortable but am I the only one who felt that there were hidden cameras watching me. The ac unit was from the 1980s and limping along like my dreams and my goals from that year. Beds were comfortable. I say beds cause there were a few that I tried. Didn’t dare shower in the morning with the bathtub tap that never stopped running the entire time I was there.

• Lauren (4/5): - The room was filthy with cobwebs and crumbs by the kitchen table. You pull out the bed so you can put your cell charger into the wall and there is dirt on the floor. The coffee maker had an old coffee bag still in it. I was supposed to have a kitchen and all it had was a large fridge, microwave and toaster oven. Every drawer had debris in it. The shower head wasn't cleaned. The wine glasses had spots all over and just washed everything before I used it. The garbage can was filthy on the inside. There was green mold on the window with an addess binus of q dead moth. The containers holding the utensils and creamer and sugar was dirty. The inside cf the cubbards were not wiped down. The toaster oven was atrocious. A huge amountif dust ontop of it. The glass was dirty and all inside was dirty. The tray was greasy and had old food on it The bottom of the toaster oven has old grease on it. The fridge had crumbs in the freezer and fridge. It was not wiped out. I do housekeeping myself and there was no standards of cleanlinesa at all. Will not be staying there again.

• Don (5/5): Great, helpful owners and good location - Location was good and the owners allowed a late checkout so my wife could do her mediacl Zoom meeting. No other facility in Princeton would accommodate this. Ther was a lip on the floor going into the bathroom and this is a tripping hazard that we forgot to report to the owners.
• Manseau (1/5): I was at the main lobby( no one there) to find no rooms available - Nothing. Someone actually on site. No mice eating my muffins. Door shutting properly…….
• Bernard (4/5): Warning! - I was very disappointed with the Motel as it was in need of many repairs. Bathtub was filthy. Air conditioner did not work. Bed was old and uncomfortable. Dishes, cups were old and did not match. Smoke alarm was missing battery, Fridge made a terrible buzzing noise. Deadbolt in front door would not work as door was in terrible shape from being broken into.
• Peter (6/5): Pleasant - The location is great. The room itself had plenty of space. There is no insulation against noise, and every vehicle traveling past could be heard really loudly. The head of the shower is really low, which makes it hard to wash ones hair.

• Charlene (6/5): - This place is older and in desperate need of a refresh. Several things in the unit were in need of repair. It’s handy to have a kitchen but there is literally not even a mug in the place. Asked the desk but still never saw one. Heat was an oil filled portable radiator unit. Pretty chilly here in the dead of winter. For the price I would expect a lot better. If you want a old, outdated, basic motel with uncomfortable beds stay at the Cedars for half the price….

• Jody (6/5): It was ok. - Our first room had such a strong propane smell thatbwe asked to move. The propane stove had a leak somewhere and was off gassing. The next room was ok.
• Signorina (1/5): Horrible! - We rented this place for our travelling staff. They reported the following: 1. They were checked into a different room from what we paid for (smaller). We paid for an apartment with 2 separate rooms, they were housed in a suite with 1 room. 2. There was a rat in the room, it comes out every night. 3. There was an ant nest in the suite 4. There was a towel with dirty blood on it, as well as dirty crumbs under the bed. 5. Dirty shower 6. Dirty bed. (Our crew had to sleep on their sleeping pad on the floor in the room) 7. They preferred to camp in the wood than stay at this hotel. We paid for 13 nights but the crew only stayed for 5 nights. We brought these concerns to the management and also requested refund for the 7-8 nights that the crew did not occupy the suite. The manager reports that the crew were lying (I'm not sure why our workers will lie about their stay) and that there was no rat, no ant nest or any of the complaint our crew made. He states that he will refund us if they were able to rent the suite. He reported back that they were able to rent the suite for 2 night during the period that we paid for. He gave every excuse in the book to counter our crew's report of the place. Very defensive. It's been over a month and we have not received any refund. We gave them the opportunity to make this right but they have chosen to be deceitful. We thought it's only fair to warn other people about this place and the management. I hope they can do better or be honest.

• Rory (3/5): Not interested in staying there ever again. - It is centrally located, easy on and off the highway. It is very rundown and old. Needs a lot of upgrades and renovations. The place is so tired and well used and is evident everywhere you look.

No heat in the cabin so we woke up to 8 degrees and cold in the morning. Thought I'd warm up in the shower but there was a XL grasshopper in the shower. Obviously it was his home so no shower for me. Just don't do it!

It had been happening for so long the tub was stained from the water. Very hard to sleep as the road noise was so much. No person on staff to allow us access. Couldn’t leave message as message box was full. Finally found a staff person cleaning. Then they asked for payment again as they had no record. Phone call to apologize for no staff still insisting for payment. Finally figured it out.

• Brian (2/5): Please Keep Looking - Arrived after booking. No one was there. We had to confirm/book along side hwy 3. Good luck with that. Broken shower. No working television. Batteries removed from smoke detector. Door to unit did not lock. Short, curly hair all over the walls and ceiling. Cobwebs all over every corner. We have photos of everything. This is more the fault of this website, more than anything else.

• SHALYNN (4/5): - It was a last minute need to sleep place. The owner waited for us to arrive 9pm to check us in. Was very appreciative but the check in convo was extremely uncomfortable. Not only were we in the middle of no where at a motel, after telling him we were hockey parents, he said oh you just be rich then tried to keep asking more personal questions related to our belongings. Not only was the room over priced, there was no heat in main room, no weather guards on doors and overall extremely run down. It was 241.82 a night!!!!! Little did we know, there is a sandman 900 meters away for half the price. Expedia did not show us the option when choosing. #teamsandman

• Francine (8/5): Comfortable roadside stopover - Staff was friendly and helpful. The unit had everything we needed including a fridge, coffee maker and dishes. The bed was very comfortable. The unit was pretty quiet despite being right on the highway. It was easy to walk into town on the side roads. The front outside was clean and tidy but the back which the unit overlooked could be cleaned up. None of this affected our stay.

If your vacation includes staying in a skid row motel stay here. Road noise was horrible. There is a lot of jerry rigging repairs and renovations that would not pass building code in Canada. The shelves and cupboards across the ajoining room door is one.

• Victoria (3/5): Poor - The view and the fact that I had a bed to sleep in The room was dirty in general. Paid for and needed a room with 3 beds, but no bedding for the 3rd.. No one on site. Overly chatty owner that checked us in over the phone. Had to call him 3 times to get set up. But when I asked him to call me back regarding the room, never heard from him. Worst place I've ever stayed. And first bad review, I believe.

• Bernard (8/5): Very good - The owner was very accommodating,, was able to keep my M/cycle under a roof, protected from rain and right in front of the door. The cabin was very’60’s rustic, but very well cared for, clean and all the amenities for cooking if needed. No tub, just corner shower, but absolutely no issues with that,, for me it worked great. Next time I stay there, I would like to stay in the actual motel room for compassion. Right on the hywy, and two minutes to restaurant that opens at 6am for us early risers. I will stay here again

And gave recommendations where to eat etc. We have had friendly management at previous accommodations but never as good as he was!, also the bed was comfortable aswell Room was dated and the carpet had stains on it but it was vacumed

Very expensive and run down. - Nothing The rooms feature old furniture, dirty and worn flooring, exposed plumbing and the property was generally a run down building whose best days are clearly in the distant past. It was the most expensive room on our trip and by far the worst.
• Bruce (3/5): Skip Princeton - Convenience. To say it was rustic is being kind. Dark sheets, dark towels and a shower that looked like it was a reject from a campground made the accommodations worth about half of what was charged.

Unfortunately, the place itself looks so old that I don’t remember when I saw a place like this. For the price I paid, it was not good at all. First time, I didn’t feel comfortable at all. The location is good for travelers, but would be great if the rooms are upgraded or prices should be lower even in high season.
