- Somporn (2/5): Nightmare - There were 4 of us traveling. We booked two rooms. I had to changed the very first room they booked for us because it stank like sewage and mildew. The wooden wall over the bed was peeling off and only one light worked in the room. In the bathroom, the window by the toilet had green and black mold covering it as well as the side wall of the shower. The faucet for the sink wasn't even attached to the sink... The room they changed my daughter and I to was better, it didn't stink as much but there were water leaking from the toilet. My sister and mother had the worst experience, the mildew smell wasn't as strong as my rooms but the bathroom was terrible. When my sister went to take a shower, she had a chunk of black mold washed onto her face.. The night staff didn't want to help us at all. Needless to says worst experience with a hotel ever. I don't recommend.
- Jane (2/5): Dirty Shabby Hotel - Firstly, the distance from the train station is NOT 6 minutes! By Google maps at 10pm (no traffic) it is 12 minutes away by taxi. The whole hotel reception, corridors, and rooms are shabby and dirty. We checked out early.

- tadaStar (6/5): Nice quiet place away from the city center - I stayed for 2 nights in their triple room, which was located at their new building just across the road. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and breakfast was ok. But some of the facilities were rather old or not well maintained. The bar to hang towel in the bathroom was just dangling on the loose screw, on the verge of dropping off. The tap is obviously not suitable for use with their sink, because it's too near to the sink wall, making it really hard to use especially when washing face. Wifi is terrible and totally unusable (too many routers/APs within close proximity, overlapping frequencies causing really bad interference). Location wise, it is quite a distance from Lopburi city center, not a problem if you are driving. There are quite a few parking lots available free for guests. Just a couple of minutes drive a away is a huge Big C mall. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, i do enjoy the peaceful and quiet environment.

- Chrisparramatta (8/5): Good value not difficult to find without car. - Mature budget backpackers 6 weeks Thailand stayed many hotels around 500 baht night. Benjatara up with good ones. 7 baht songthaew ride from old town or bus station. Just before first big C get off at Ford sign and hotel sign in Thai down small street. Clean everything works. Bedding as often no top sheet and doona can not take out of cover to make top sheet. We always travel with our own doona cover which can be top sheet or if bedding looks dodgy use like sleeping bag liner. User ours as sheet and their doona on top. Think all bedding washed daily but not sure. Breakfast Thai don't look for toast but overall for the price good value. Stayed 3 nights. Comfortable.

- Hallomega (6/5): An OK stay ... - The hotel was a little difficult to find - my car GPS had me driving down the wrong road three times, and the fact that the large sign on the correct road is only in Thai did not help. The room was clean enough and breakfast was quite good, but bedding was a little unusual: a fresh fitted bottom bed sheet, and a duvet with no fresh cover. I was in VIP 11, and the mattress was a bit smaller than the bed base, which had been damaged by a previous guest. On OK place and for the price, quite satisfactory.
- Cheech6366 (6/5): Interesting - The rooms are clean although a little dated. There is a walk in shower in each, toilet and sink. There are fresh towels daily and the beds made up daily. The breakfast hall is almost all fresco, with birds popping in from outside. Not a problem as they are only sparrows.
- sanfoureyes (4/5): Average hotel with horrible staff - I came here for a business trip and this is my second time here. The room used to be cleaner and it seems like they havn't clean the room properly for a while. The staffs at the reception were so horrible that I felt like they could have kill me if they can and I don't understand why. They asked me to leave my ID card with them overnight and it was the least thing I could imagine hotel staff could have ask. Usually they would ask to make a copy if they ever knew that. This would be my last time here. There were gecko feces in the room and the faucet in the bathroom was leaking when we get in too.

- Inderashah (6/5): Good but needs improvement - Stayed at the hotel during a working visit. Rooms and toilets were clean. Most of the TV channels were all in Thai language except for some news channels. This was also the first time that I stayed in a hotel where the main accommodation area was separated from the reception area (accommodation was across reception area, seperated by a small road). Breakfast was ok for a small hotel like this. Overall a good place to stay for a working visit (only needed the hotel to rest).
- Peter (6/5): Not the best but okay - On arrival the receptionist was not welcoming and did not check our reservation, we had to get our computer out to show it was booked through hotels.com. The night staff on the other hand were really helpful and friendly. The room was dirty and very dusty and we were glad we only stayed one night. Easy to get to the town by car to see the monkies which was the reason for going. Breakfast was okay with a number of options.
- 687saskias (4/5): Could easily be improved - Stayed here one night to attend the monkey festival in Lopburi before going to Chiang Mai. The hotel was a well-priced average hotel with friendly staff. Unfortunately, our room and the hallway had mouse droppings and the room had a bad smell. The hotel restaurant was average too. If these could be improved it would be a nice place to explore Lopburi from!
- RichLim (8/5): Technician - Good night fpr 4 days work and visit. Quite a number of places to go around. While maintaining the owner machinery in tip top condition. Toilet gpod and bedroom good if you choose deluxe. Nearby there are two big C's. Nearer to is smaller one, while larger ones just a little bit further. If you happen to walk down to the round about - nice park. Breath taking.
- plunet (8/5): Good but tired - We had ordered three Standard Rooms with Breakfast Included. Driving up from Bagkok via Ayuthaya, the hotel was easy enough to find, the location on google maps is accurate. Just be careful of the drain covers on the approach road, some of them are set quite low. Being set back 100m+ off the main road there's no noticable noise to be concerned about. The reception was quite relaxed about check in, they didn't require the usual photocopies of passports, and although we had booked a standard room, we got shown to three VIP rooms on the ground floor just to left of Reception, which was a bonus as the hotel doesn't have any lifts - they probably took pity on the older members of our party. Although these rooms were very convenient, I wonder whether if these room are the most used, and maybe the most worn. Although there was nothing wrong with the rooms, and it was quite clean but not spotless, there was aspects of the decor and furniture that were well worn to the point that they were in need of replacement... So for me the "Boutique" word in the title of the hotel is questionable, but I also hasten to add that this hotel was the cheapest we stayed in considering that it also included breakfast (other hotels were the similar cost but didn't include food). Although the Wifi was in some places a weak signal, bandwidth was reasonable and we experienced 8M download and 3M upload, although oddly it was a completly open Wifi network with no password or registration - some of the documentation pointed to it previously having a login or registration systems, but I assume the equipment running that broke and it's now just open access. The beds were comfortable, and medium firm - in my firmness rating it was a 7/10. Breakfast was a fairly typical local buffet, the chef was keen to practice his English and was happy to point out the spicy and non-spicy items for us. Western food choice was limited but this didn't bother us. So overall, in terms of value for money, we really could not argue with what we were provided at the Benjatara. But they do need to spend a little money on maintenance to bring tired fixtures and fittings up to date. It's it's more budget than boutique.

- D311VGemmac (6/5): Average stay - We found the location of the hotel was OK - we were able to walk 5 minutes to the main road and get transport into town. The staff were friendly, the air con and shower worked well and the room a good size, but unfortunately our luck ended there. Our room smelt strongly of mold and there were several cobwebs around. The phone didn't work and the walls were quite dirty. It was OK for one night but not pleasant and if we had stayed any longer I would have requested a new room.
- Debra9777 (8/5): Surprise find - With Lopburi not being considered a major tourist destination and limited hotels to choose from and such a cheap price (AU$38.67 for 3 people), and despite the photos looking good, I have to say I was sceptical that they were photoshopped. I had prepared myself for something that was average, which was ok as it was only for one night. I was very pleasantly surprised when we saw our room. The hotel is in 2 locations across the lane from each other. The original hotel is where reception and the restaurant are located along with rooms. Then there is a new section of the hotel which is across the lane. We were in the newly built rooms across the lane so I can’t comment on the rooms in the older section. The reception and restaurant area was clean, open and airy which was consistent with the new section. The rooms were basic but modern, comfortable and nicely presented. They offer breakfast and dinner, we weren’t there for lunch so I can’t comment. We had both dinner and breakfast at Benjatara Boutique Hotel where they offered a traditional Thai menu. Breakfast was a limited buffet selection but they also had toast and spreads available. Our only disappointment was Dinner – the food was good but it was more like an entrée or light lunch serving size not what you would expect for a main meal. I would definitely stay here again, but if hungry eat dinner somewhere else.
- 612leet (6/5): Family visit - I have used the Benjarara on numerous occasions for family and new staff members. The rooms are nice as are the people. The breakfast isn't good though. Way too basic. It is also a bit out of the way unless you have a car. Then it is a very good option in Lopburi.
- sombaht (8/5): Good hotel, good location. - This is probably one of the better hotels in Lopburi. Location wise it is just off the main road, quiet close to two Big C shopping centres. The hotel itself is quite new and very well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and all have air-con. The breakfast bar is Thai style (obviously) but they do offer a continental brekfast as well, though I stuck to the Thai options and it was delicious.
- keithp867 (10/5): The best hotel in Lopburi - I have stayed at several hotels in Lopburi. This is the best hotel for an American. The room is clean and quiet. A good breakfast is included in the very reasonable cost. It has English television and good air conditioning.
