Lovely pool and close to Coco Beach. - Breakfast is substantial with fruit bowl and choice of eggs with toast or black beans or large fluffy pancakes. Excellent. Wifi worked well but there were problems with accessing it on the monitor in our room.

- Kamilė (1/5): - Guys, there is the worst place of all. Please read my comments what I didn’t like before booking this place. First - the personnel. Rude and inatentive. Second - the room itself. Oldschool, small, dark, bathroom has a weird smell, balcony teeny tiny, just for hanging your clothes. Third - breakfast. Very bad. Fourth - their empathy. Guys, we got robbed very bad in Coco the first day. It’s almost 3000eur worth of loss. I felt very bad staying in this place and in this town. We stayed only for 2 nights instead of 4 and they refused (sorry, they didn’t refuse, they say only manager can decide - didn’t show up, ignored my emails and so on) to refund at least one of them. I understand it’s not their fault and not their business - but the hotel was practically empty. We didn’t use cleaning service even once, we didn’t eat two breakfast - to refund one night for people that holidays got ruined and had to spend days here going through police staytions - come on. We met so many nice people in Costa Rica - you won’t find ant of them here, so even don’t bother and do go looking for that here, becayse there is only disappointment and ignorance waiting for you :) if I would me a manager that’s so hard to see in face - I would at least reply to customers’ emails :)

- Nancy (10/5): Can’t wait to return - Villa Del Sol is an oasis where you feel you are deep in the jungle with nothing around you. The vegetation is lush and gives lots of privacy. The grounds are immaculate and the staff are all very welcoming and available to assist with any questions. The pool is wonderful and much looked forward to after a busy, hot tour or walk. The beach is only a two minute walk. And the beach is also amazing. No crowds. Again it feels like you have it almost to yourself. We were a family of six. Grandparents, our son and family. We had two villas and they worked out perfect for us. Very clean and well equipped. Breakfast is available for villa guests at a small fee and was always delish. Thanks To all at Villa Del Sol for making our stay so perfect. We will return on our next trip to Coco. There was nothing we didn’t like about this place.

- OISMAN (10/5): We had a great overnight stay. - The hotel is a block from the beach. The pool and grounds were beautiful. There was a good bit of wildlife as well ... mostly birds, but we even saw some monkeys. The price was great and the breakfast made to order. The room had everything we needed for our brief stay.

- Aarti (7/5): - The staff were very sweet and accommodating. The breakfast provided was freshly made to order and delicious! It included a bowl of fresh fruit, which I appreciated a lot. The location is not bad, walking distance from the main street and really close (around the corner) from beach access. The grounds are peaceful and lush, and the swimming pool looked clean and inviting. The rooms left something to be desired. It was a basic room, no amenities as such, which I found a little disappointing considering it is marked as a 4-star hotel. The curtains could do with some upkeep, as they were starting to fall apart a little. At one point, we did not have any running water in the room. This was quickly fixed, but it was annoying to come back from a day at the beach, covered in sand, and having to wait for a shower. The walk between the hotel and the main street was kind of unpleasant in parts due to a lack of shade and dust from vehicles and construction in the area. Hopefully, this means the area is growing

Far enough away from town center, so that we didn't deal with noise, crowds or traffic. But also close enough to be walking distance. The room was small, but nice bathroom. TV not working, but good Wifi. Electrical outlet by bed was not functioning.

- Nella (10/5): A hidden gem...exceeded my expectations - OMG...where do I start? This property EXCEEDED my expectations! It was my 3rd hotel in a week. I was there for a conference. The grounds are beautiful and well manicured. Chickens roaming. One block from the ocean and yes, you hear the sounds. Walking distance to the town, restaurants. Exceptionally clean, staff goes above and beyond to assist. Customers...I met three new friends! Only had breakfast which was amazing and those fresh eggs!!!! N/A

The beds were horribly uncomfortable, and the air conditioning in the room was difficult to figure out—it would stop for no apparent reason. The room was so small that you could barely walk with two suitcases in it. The front desk receptionist barely spoke any English, unlike the higher end resorts. This made it very difficult to communicate and ask questions.

The staff is very responsive to every question and the breakfast is delicious. The kitchen in one of our rooms was very well equipped. The rooms are pretty sparce and little touches would make them much nicer like nicer bedding, shower curtains, etc. One of our rooms included breakfast and one didn't, which was weird.

The price was affordable but it was very tiny bed and window fences all over. Basically my room was right next to the public bathroom in the main lobby area. It was dark and felt like I was in the jail. I do not recommend the room with a garden view. Choose little bit more expensive one.

- Helen (8/5): Lugar tranquilo y cómodo cerca del centro, con detalles a mejorar - Es una zona muy tranquila, perfecta para descansar. Las camas son muy cómodas. Está cerca del centro de Playas del Coco, por lo que se tiene acceso a todos los servicios y comodidades. Un punto a favor es que la habitación cuenta con una zona privada de parqueo, lo cual es muy conveniente. Durante la estadía, no pudimos utilizar la piscina porque hubo presencia de mapaches, que incluso llegaban cuando olían comida. Sería ideal si se pudiera reforzar el control de estos animales, ya que son bastante insistentes. Recomiendo mantener los alimentos bien guardados para evitar inconvenientes. También notamos que sería bueno reforzar la fumigación en las habitaciones, ya que había algunas hormigas. Además, sería útil contar con algunos implementos adicionales en la cocina, como un pichel y toallas de cocina. A pesar de esos detalles, el lugar tiene buen potencial y con algunos ajustes podría ser una excelente opción para disfrutar de la zona.

The staff was friendly and accommodating and I was able to have fresh coconuts from the tree outside everyday. - Darree (9/5): Easy stay at a tropical setting to enjoy Playa del Coco - Lovely little hotel tucked away from town center but an easy walk to all the things Playa del Coco has to offer. We enjoyed the garden feel around the pool and outdoor Rancho - which were just perfect - and the way the main building had a wonderful overlook of the hotel grounds. We stayed in the main building which was cozy with modern conveniences, such a beautiful tropical feel that offered both open windows or air conditioning for our bedroom comfort. Breakfast was great and they even offered us a "to go" fruit plate for the morning that we had to leave early. And a super easy stroll across the quiet street to enter the beach. We totally enjoyed our stay!

Junto a piscina tem estrutura de fogão, geladeira e churrasqueira. O estúdio que ficamos, no térreo, tem um bom tamanho. Com cozinha completa, o banho é muito bom. Café da manhã é um prato feito com 4 opções muito boas e muito gostoso. O suco e o café com leite ou dimples é a vontade. Tem cadeiras e toalhas para levar para praia. Tem estacionamento dentro do hotel.

Bottom line: great value! We ended up extending our stay. pool area was a bit noisy with construction works one afternoon (too bad we had booked a poolside massage that day :)

The staff were very friendly and curtious, always there to serve you in anything that you may need during your stay.I would definitely recommend and visit again.
- Thomas (10/5): - The property has a nice clean pool and comfortable, shady sitting areas around it. Pretty gardens too. The property manager and the owner were kind and helpful and welcoming. Quiet other than the sounds of waves crashing nearby and birds and howler monkeys :)

- Kerri (1/5): We booked 2 nights but decided to find a different place for the 2nd night. - The grounds are pretty and clean, staff was friendly, a short walk to the beach. There were no outlets in our room. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and hard. The bathroom sink had no hot water - the hot water didn’t even turn on. Worst of all there were big ants throughout the room and cockroaches in the bathroom. Very noisy in the middle of the night from irrigation, loud guests, what sounded like staff in the kitchen and then so many roosters at 4am. Pretty bad conditions all around.
- Marcel (9/5): Ideal for a beach weekend - A lovely small scale hotel at the end of the boulevard. The staff gave us a family-like feeling. Very nice breakfast, and a lovely pool.
- Diana (8/5): - Grounds and Room was clean. People were nice and helpful. Breakfast available. Close to beach and walkable to all shops. Pool was nice and well kept. Would stay again.
- Gerardo (10/5): - Hotel Villa del Sol was a very pleasant surprise. We needed a place to stay on short notice and it turned out to be the perfect place for us. The hotel has an ideal location as it is a very short walk from the beach and close by to nearby shopping and eateries. The breakfast served was excellent and the staff were great in our short 1 day stay there. The neighbors chickens and rooster did wake me up earlier than desired the day we were checking out but didn't diminish how highly we thought of our stay. I would highly recommend staying here.

- jon (10/5): - Both the hotel and the grounds were very well kept, and the atmosphere was very laid back and comfortable. We only spent one night here (ideal proximity to Liberia airport) but I would definitely book a longer stay in the future based off of this experience.
