Guest Reviews
- Curious690894 (10/5): 31st night celebration - Nice Hospitality. Staff is helpful
Dinner & breakfast r awesome. 31st night celebration is also good. Rooms r spacious & clean. Highly recommended. Mapro garden is just opposite the resort to hangout.
- M7394EPvijayp (2/5): Dinesh here should resign immediately - First the manager Dinesh is irresponsible. I went to book the banquet for wedding and he said he will send the quotation by next morning. But he didn’t send and after calling twice he said quotation me kya rakha hai apne book kaha kiya hai. I was shocked to know that a manager works without quotation. We were having tight budget so selected this resort but the managers here are pathetic. When asked about his professionalism he said i wont take your event in our banquet. So suggest you to not book event here at any cost and waste your money.
And most importantly I asked for quotation because initially Akshay said something else and later Dinesh said usko kya pata? This is their attitude. I feel like a busing these people so you can imagine how frustrated i am.
- Nima_2409 (2/5): Genuine review- Not worth your money - I read previous reviews which definitely seemed paid and booked this hotel for a night for family. It started with unclean bedsheets and blanket. They were black and unwashed. Paid extra for a person and a bed but were refused when asked for an extra tea packet( had only 2 in room). The intercom dint work. The lights inside room did not work, sat in dark dim room with only one yellow light. Manager refused to change the room said there is a power failure and no use shifting you anywhere else. The ac was noisy and we kept it off for the whole night. If you value your money I would say skip this.
- Milind86 (8/5): Good economical option in Lonavala - Stayed at the property for a couple of days during our visit to Lonavala. The resort is located just on the end of the main bazaar road and has very easy connectivity to the highway as well as places of sight seeing. The main market is just few minutes walk from here. You can easily get autos to visit nearby places. The rooms are spacious and have all the basic amenities, one would expect under an economical range. The hotel though looks slightly under renovated (due to recent pandemic) offers a good stay option in Lonavala. The staff is really courteous and friendly. We had booked all our meals at the hotel and they were very well cooked, fresh and tasty. Overall a perfect place if you are looking for a budget stay in Lonavala.
- 774akashr (2/5): Go home don’t stay I warn u - Don’t go for it I warn u
Change 3 rooms but all have damping and smell.
Basically stink and you can’t bear.
Mosquito repellent have refilled with pink colour soap
Curtain torn off
Paint replace by moist allegi
Pillow cover torn off
Bed sheet not replace and looks used
Soaf can’t b use for sitting
Restaurant u cannot touch anything including food
Go home if u can’t find anything in Lonavala
Staff is good as they have no option
- chouhan07 (2/5): Below average and not recommended as a Resort - - Foul smell from the rooms
- No difference b/s room and swimming pool
- Poor service
- No hospitality
- Breakfast was ok
- Name is just resort but the look and service is just like a lodge
- I have booked for a king-size bed and not provided
- Ajay0808 (6/5): Valvan Village Resort is just about average - Went for a family weekend to Valvan Village Resort. The experience has been just about average. The facilities are substandard - no gym - no kids play area - swimming pool is just too deep for kids to enjoy. Food was average - buffer breakfast had a very limited spread and food was generally cold. Staff was courteous and very helpful. However for the price that they charge, its better avoided.
- ArunDabas (10/5): Amazing place - Nice location📍 nice staff and good food🍴🍕🍔 . Raining🌧 season is best to visit. Khandala tour was amazing. You can try chiikki here the local dish. The people here very honest and helpful. Local restaurent are good. Children Will enjoy here. Taxi and tolls are coastly
- TKuldeep (6/5): Good Hotel for Corporate meetings - Went first time for corporate meeting. Good old hotel but we'll maintained. Spacious Rooms with balcony. Swimming pool neat and clean.
Sher E Punjab restaurant for Ala carte prep good.
Overall services are good and staff members are really helpful including Mr Tapas and entire team.
- AsherFmly (2/5): A Wholesome Nightmare - We booked via agoda.
1) No Wifi in rooms as promised on the agoda website.
2) Rooms were damp with rain & smelly
3) No 3rd Bed provided but a very uncomfortable mattress given. We were charged for extra bed.
4) Food is below average. Avoid the included Dinner deal.
5) We were also called wrongfully for clearing restaurant bill for food we had never consumed and had a time stamp of before we checked in :)
6) The TV & Set top box had only one pair of batteries and had to alternate to use it.
7) At checkout no GST Invoice provided by Hotel.
- udaykiranjoshi (4/5): Avg property. Too pricey. - Very average property. I particularly found it too costly. It's an old property. There dinner was ok. Breakfast was good. However the service was so pathetic that my wife waited for almost 30 minutes to get toast. She didn't even receive one and we left. I had read a lot about hospitality. However hardly found anything impressive. In fact, didn't see hospitality anywhere. First of all, there was no one to receive in the entrance. Nobody seemed to be cared if new members drove in. No body was even there to pick up luggage or assist! Room was ok but very old window AC. Remotes of AC and TV were not working properly. Bedding was ok but could be improved. I'll not recommend it unless it's come for a a lot cheaper tariffs. I paid around Rs. 6000 for a single night (included breakfast and dinner), but didn't find it worth. The pool was dirty too and we couldn't think of entering it.
- MedhaM3011 (2/5): Horrible rooms, pathetic customer service - We visited this hotel this weekend. We had booked 2 standard AC rooms, we were given our rooms 2 hours late, they kept on telling us that they need some time to clean the rooms. Staff is unprofessional, they don't know how to talk to customers. They were least bothered about the delay. Our room was next to store room, which was extremely dirty, noisy. The next morning, washroom water had dust particles, ACs were not serviced in years. There was a huge noise and pieces of ice started falling from the AC.
After telling this to the staff and Manager, they did not even acknowledge that there were many issues with the room.
Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 591prin (2/5): One of the worst resorts i have stayed till date!! - So, i had booked this place last minute n had to stay here n it was one of the worst resorts i have ever stayed till date...trust me, i am a traveller and this resort sucked big time!! the check in took us ages inspite of paying in advance, the food service is pathetic and the staff n the whole mamagement of the place sucks big time! The pool wasnt inviting or clean i dnt knw wat it was bt i wud never want to swim in it! And plus there is no wifi in ur room! its only at the reception area..
I wud nt recommend anyone to stay even if u getting it at a cheap price!
- CdrAnilSharma (10/5): Best budget place for large group events at Lonavala - We were looking for a venue for our Indian Naval Vateran batch(Total around 50 with spouses and all senior citizens)in Lonavala and after shortlisting about a dozen or so and visiting all of them over a few days we finalised Valvan Village Resort after a lot of search and research.
Even though it is a small resort it can boast of providing all facilities needed for large groups(MICE)and is popular amongst the corporates for their training/conventions etc.It is,therefore, not surprising that they are always in the the middle of some group activity or the other. Needless to say they are always booked and hence booking well in advance is desirable. We had booked almost 6 months in advance.
The location of this resort is ideal being very near the Mumbai Pune Expressway and besides the Mumbai Pune Highway barely 1 km away from the Lonavala Railway Station. Nearest Airport being at Pune about 60 kms and Mumbai around 120 kms.
The staff, in particular, Mr Saurav Mukerjee General Manager and Mr Tapas Garai F&B Manager are outstanding and ever-willing who can help you in arranging almost anything,be it transport or photographer or an event manager or any other such requirements. They are always willing to go an extra mile to ensure that their guests are well looked after and all their genuine needs are met.
The resort is a sister concern of our famous Sher-e-Panjab in Fort Mumbai and appropriately their restuarant bears the same name and doles out tasty North Indian Cuisine besides other popular dishes. They also have a 24 hr Coffee Shop.
They have a full-fledged bar to cater for all liquor requirements of the guests.
The Resort has a Wheelchair accessible entrance and also has an elevator. The rooms are decently equipped with all facilities and some are with balcony overlooking the pool.
The resort has a special corporate all inclusive rates which are very competitive and they even consider your suggestions for meals menu within the laid down limits.
They have 3 halls to cater for your needs and provide seating arrangement as per the customer requirement normally free of any extra charge. In addition they also provide a PA system and recorded music normally within the package.
Free WiFi is available in public areas but not available in some rooms.
They have ample parking area within their compound.
All our participants were unanimous in stating that this was their best ever get together and they were all praise for the resort management and ever helpful staff.
In short, Valvan Village Resort at Lonavala is well equipped with all facilities to make it an ideal venue for any corporate and family group events.
- rajeev_kanwara (8/5): Great location, great value for price - We stayed here for 3 nights in a group of 50. A quick check in and we almost had the full hotel to our selves even though there were other guests around. We had all meals as also the evening tea. The food prepared was tasty and the staff went out of their way to look after. The hotel had in-house laundry and we had clean bedsheets and towels daily.
The resort has a swimming pool and located 500 yards from main road thereby avoiding traffic sounds.
Wish they fix safes in each room.
Would definitely like to visit this property again.
- Rawat1953 (10/5): Excellent 4 day stay - Just returned after spending 4 fun filled and relaxing days at Valvan Village Resort. The occasion was the Re-Union of our Batch of Navy Veterans consisting of 43 members ( including spouses). It was a wonderful stay and the resort went out of the way to ensure that the reunion was a runaway success. The Resort Staff, ably led by Mr Saurav Mukherjee and Mr Tapas, ensured that all our requirements/ requests were adequately taken care off and attended expeditiously. At our request, the Resort equipped all the rooms with Coffee/ Tea making kit which was much appreciated by all the members of our group. The rooms were spacious and comfortable while the food was specially prepared keeping in mind that we were all senior citizens requiring meals cooked with less oil and spices. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we all returned home with delightful memories of 4 days at Valvan Village Resort. I would highly recommend this resort for Group reunion/ get-togethers.
- SADA_SHIV2107 (8/5): Great place to stay at Lonavala. - Valvan resort is a great place to stay. The food is awesome. The service is excellent. Location is quiet. There is enough parking place. The rooms are clean, big and facilities are excellent.Hotel has a neat swimming pool. Overall, a decent place for a peaceful stay with family.
- sandy_joggy (8/5): Good location and well priced - This hotel is so close to market area but still away from hustle bustle. Room furniture is ok but jaded, perhaps bcos this is a old hotel. Room service is prompt and restaurant food quality is v good. We loved the starters. We were a group of friends and i think for a friends' get together this is a great place - easy to reach, well priced n good service and food.
- srajul (4/5): Property not well maintained - Disappointed with the quality of room that we got. This resort requires serious upgrade
The room has leakage from ceiling.
For the price they are proposing, not worth the money at all considering we had opted for deluxe rooms.
Not recommended for family day out at this price point
- pcaxyz (6/5): Resort in Lonavala - The hotel staff are good, polite, humble, dutiful and obedient.👍
The amenities, facilities and essentials provided by this hotel are not sufficient and inadequate keeping in mind that it's a 4-star hotel 🤔😓.
"In the deluxe room there is NO tea/coffee maker, NO door bell, NO mini refrigerator and NO safe deposit box".
No wi-fi connection in the room😭😭.
TV cable connection keeps going off very frequently🤦♀️.
Wi-fi connection is available only in the reception, restaurant and lobby area 😣.
'Dressing table and dressing chair' are there in the deluxe rooms.😄
But, no full-size mirror in the room 🙆♀️.
There are no chairs for seating in the room😕, however a sofa is there 🙏.
The complimentary breakfast buffet was tasty but very limited items 😒. Also to mention that daily buffet breakfast is not there. Breakfast buffet only if more occupancy is there.
- Jackson (2/5): They had not given the room as per requirement - It was not a great at all the door was stuck and my mum was in the room and unable to open the door and even from the outside . The hotel person had to change the lock which was inconvenient for me waiting to get the stuff fixed and spending my time
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth the price - Its more of hotel than resort.no wow feeling.not more than rs1500 per day worth.Very old property with no maintenance. swimming pool is dirty and not worth bath.only consolation was the food.overall not worth stay and recommendation.
- tourist (4/5): not a 4 star hotel - Room was not ready. On the third floor and lift was out or order. Bathroom facility was basic. No fridge in the room to put my medication in. No hair dryer. Old towels. Small tv. Cleanliness of the kitchen was iffy. Crockery too old. Wifi only available by the reception desk. Wouldn't visit this again.
