- charles (1/5): Bad place -
- Dave (6/5): -
- Lorna (3/5): it was a nice stay except for beds and coldness - beds were too hard and it was very cold
- Mike (1/5): - Too much I was overcharged it smelled. It was dirty and it was old.
- Gregg (4/5): - Location is in the worst area of town. Lots of low life’s hanging around. Chose to park across the street under a street light away from the throng of substance abusers hanging around the bar next to the hotel. Hotel reception staff behind a plexiglass shield for protection.
- Sheldon (4/5): - Although the room was clean but dated , what they don't tell you is the building is very old and shows it . the restaurant is closed and nothing but Subway nearby. The biggest thing is the is a pot shop in the same building with a lot of people hanging around outside and bothering us for money and wanting to talk to us , made us feel unsafe .
- dane (10/5): - Friendly staff great place to stay
- Ryley (2/5): - Overall
- bronson (2/5): - The hotel was dingy so outdated it was so run down Very unsafe area
- Nashaat (1/5): I will never book again their hotels - nothing at all I had liked in it smell was so bad, cleanliness was so modest, staff were just merely know how to del with the customer , they were not at the front desk most of the time, I had to wait ages for them to be out there, they over charged me extra 16 dollars for nothing.

- Harri (7/5): First choice for a genuine experience! - It’s time travel and perhaps not everybody’s thing, but I liked it. Room is comfortable and the location on the Main Street excellent. Most importantly, it is a remnant from another era. Lobby looks scary and the staff is a bit rough around edges, but it all fits the overall picture.
- Melissa (8/5): - Very clean & comfortable!
The hotel looks like it's seen a few better days ... or decades BUT it had new, clean & comfortable beds & pillows.
The carpet looks dated but was clean.
The guy at the front has super helpful. I asked for an extra hour for checkout, he was so, SO accommodating! Could smell smoke in the halls.
The location leaves something to be desired but the hotel can not help the people hanging around outside.
- James (8/5): Very good - Very quiet, rooms were cleaned everyday, overall good value for the money Would be nice to have a fan in the bathroom as the room gets fairly muggy after showering, we just opened the door for 5 mins and the room aired out quickly
- Hermel (8/5): Good vibe - Like staying here on my way to work
- damien (2/5): - Don't stay there.. ever
- Glenn (7/5): Good -
- Hermel (8/5): - Passing through for work
- Richard (10/5): Comfortable and Reasonably Priced - A very nice visit. Thank tou
- kenneth (8/5): - I always get a warm welcome at the Royal, Very friendly staff
- James (10/5): - Very quiet and clean
- Luke (8/5): - Right down town, lots of nefarious people hanging around. Did not feel safe.
- David (8/5): - Clean, comfortable, no-frills hotel. Exceptionally quiet room, clean but somewhat dated. No elevators, which meant for quite a workout carrying luggage up numerous stairs.
Very polite, welcoming and helpful staff. Restaurant adjacent to the hotel. Exterior surroundings were very dodgy. The hotel made for good short-term business travel.
- Nicole (5/5): Passable -
- Natan (6/5): - Cet hotel est effrayante et très peu recommandé du public en raison de l’insécurité entourant le bâtiment.
- kenneth (8/5): - The royal is always a good place to stay.
- Lawrence (6/5): - Very rough part of town. Lots of crime in the area. Room was okay except I didnt realise it was charging US funds. Would never had booked had I realised
- Adrianna (4/5): - It's like staying at The Northern Hotel in Winnipeg... except it's in Flin Flin.
- James (10/5): - Nice and quiet
- Frank (6/5): - Close to dining. Quiet.
Had to carry all my stuff up the stairs
- Cary (2/5): - I booked this hotel, but upon arrival, decided to go somewhere else. There is a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby, the entry way serves as an hotel entrance and a beer vendor, so the front door does not lock for the safety of guests. We also felt that our vehicle was not safe in the area due to the type of clientele hanging around.
I would not recommend this hotel at all.
- Wallace (2/5): - I was disappointed because there was no elevators. The place was on skid row area of Flin Flon and alcoholics bothered us as we went in and out. The place was selling off sales beer store
- Cheryl (2/5): - We did not feel safe at this hotel. There was a rough crowd hanging around outside. - the room was small and stuffy. The AC was not working. We cut our losses and immediately moved to the Victoria hotel!
- Charles (1/5): Bad - Nothing Very questiionable area of town. Did not feel safe. Lots of street people in the immediate area that were not afraid to approach you. Pulled up then pulled out. Did not check in. Went to a different town. People at this other town confirmed my impression that Flin Flon downtown was not a good place to stay.
- sarath (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Faith (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sally (6/5): - No elevators.
In building dining option and also in surrounding area.
Located in Uptown (convenient).
Room contains a microwave and a mini fridge, a TV with channels, and good storage space.
Friendly staff :)
- Claude (10/5): Clean room quiet - N/A No elevator
- Joey (2/5): - Right in the heart of the hood. So many homeless people and people that were obviously on drugs. We did not stay the night as we feared for our safety. The person at the desk didn’t even speak a word to me, didn’t ask for my ID, nothing. Just handed me a key. The hotel is so old and so scummy I would just shut it down. No pictures of the outside of the property was extremely misleading and now I know why, no one would stay there if they knew. DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE STAY AT THIS HOTEL -10000000/10
- Waqar (7/5): Good -
- Kurt (9/5): Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location in Flin Flon. -
- Laura (5/5): It was good - I liked the comfortable bed I didn't like the staff named Jason Fiddler at checkout. and swore in front of my young son. Very unprofessional
- Mario (6/5): Pleasant -
- Marylynn (8/5): Very good -
- Jeff (8/5): - Old hotel that is in good condition. Check in was easy, staff was helpful, restaurant is good with excellent staff, bed was comfortable. Price was reasonable.
- Matthew (4/5): Bed Bugs - The room was fine, the building is dated but seems well maintained. It would have been an alright stay but the room was badly infested with bed bugs. I woke up covered in bites. As such i cannot recommend staying here.
- Zheng-Wen (8/5): - good
- Colleen (3/5): Poor -
- Debra (10/5): - Love this place. They didnt have 1 of our double bedded rooms and compensated us with 2 singles....plus they sold beer on site. Eateries were on site. Very nice!
- Hassanaly (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (10/5): Very affordable. Friendly staff went above and beyond. Convenient location. Newly renovated room. - Great place. Coffee/tea maker, fridge, microwave, good size TV with lots of channels. Very comfortable bed and linens. Big windows with a view of main street. A lamp that you can also plug your smart phone/USB device into to charge. Great staff, convenient location. The place was great. The only 2 things I can think of, dont really apply to me. No hair dryers, (not that I need that) and might not be the best place for someone that is physically disabled. Definitely alot of stairs, so might he hard for some people. But that also doesn't apply to me.
- Anna (1/5): Do not recommend - Good to have a microwave and refrigerator The room was super dirty. They didn't even vacuum floors, everywhere were dust and crumbs. The toilet seat was in the urine, bed linen had yellow stains of unknown origin. We were staying in non-smoking room, but there was a strong smell of smoke. I do not recommend this hotel. I can't even say it's a hotel, it's more like motel.
- Mark (8/5): Royal Hotel-enjoyable stay - Great stay. Clean, quiet room. Friendly staff, very helpful.
- Konstantin (8/5): - Nice, clean, authentic
- Ally (4/5): Meh - Stay was ok. It worked for the one night we needed a spot. One of the rooms was nice but the other rooms were way too hot and no air conditioning, and very loud furnace thing. Parking on the street was pretty sketchy.
- Mark (2/5): Misérable - Pitoyable état. Ne sommes pas rester. Embarré dans l’hôtel après une heure du matin… Ne devrait pas paraître sur votre site, lamentable comme établissement.
- Ralph (6/5): - Not that impressive
- Rachel (10/5): - Good older hotel .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The experience was not bad.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It's a cheap and basic hotel. Old building in an old neighbourhood. Nothing fancy.
- colleen (6/5): Royal Hotel - Friendly, quiet and clean.
- Brian (8/5): Good economy stay - If you are looking to save money and don't mind the old downtown hotel, then this is a good place to stay. I've been here twice in the past couple of years, no problems on either trips.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The place was way over priced for the condition of the room and building in general.
- Donna (10/5): MY StAY at the ROYAL - The hotel was incredibly clean...the sheets even smelled clean. The staff was extremely helpful and accommadating. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay. Thank You!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Scary placr - It was good for the price. The place look scary considering no staff are working from midnight to 7 am.
- ButterflyGirl17 (8/5): - I loved my room! The new bamboo mattress was incredible and the pillows were wonderful! I slept!! Every night I stayed in the hotel, I actually slept and slept well!!
Thank-you.
Definitely coming back!!
I would only suggest a complimentary couple of bottles of water or vitamin water in the room (or in the fridge) and a couple snacks every day because your restaurant is closed down! For example a granola bar and an apple or banana! Would be a nice touch. Extra expense yes, but considering your restaurant is closed and many things aren't open Sundays especially with the Corona Virus, this would have been nice!
- Mindy (8/5): very friendly service - Very Friendly checking in had a good night. Slept comfortably at the Royal
- Harry (8/5): - Good enough for what you’re paying. Could do a lot worst.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Convenient location. Room was a good size and clean but rather dated. Quiet. Staff were friendly.
- Brian (8/5): Amazingly great value - Upon my arrival, I was offered to store my motorcycle inside a garage overnight - what a pleasant surprise. Room was clean and comfortable with everything in working condition. I would definitely stay here again and even recommend to other visitors.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was clean, no smells. Staff very nice. No problem staying here.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Just old. No money put back into the business. Building a dump.
- Doug (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean room, good restaurant. No complaints.
- Leo (8/5): Clean, Comfortable and a good value - The Royal is a renovated older hotel in the centre of town. The rooms are clean and comfortable and a good value. I didn't like the isolation of their rear parking lot even with the cameras which I didn't see so I parked on the front street which has 2hr parking on most daytime hours.
- Malcolm (4/5): A Dump - The room smelled terrible, the security of cars parked in the rear car park was highly doubtful, and while all the absolute basics were provided, this is not a place I would recommend.
- julieta (8/5): ENJOY OUR STAY - We enjoy our stay, so quite, room is big enough, the bed is comfortable, bed linens & towels are white & clean, there i s fridge, microwave & coffee maker in the room. The only thing there is not enough amenities like shampoo, conditioner & soap.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Downtown location. Older but clean. - Was leery of parking our bike on the street or back alley but the owner offered their garage for parking. Perfect! Hotel is dated but was clean.
- Kevin R (6/5): cheap - unenthusiastic staff.........this was the first time I stayed there that I could say it was dirty.....Normally it is very clean.
