Merci on s'est vraiment régaler....le cadre est très agréable, les chambres spacieuses et agréables aussi, clim, bouilloire, sèche cheveux, belle piscine avec serviettes fournies, bon petit déjeuner qui change tous les jours, sous forme de buffet, bref super séjour...allez y les yeux fermés vous ne le regretterez pas !!! Rien, la seule chose c'est que c'est un peu loin du centre ville à pied.. mais pour nous pas de soucis nous avons loué un scooter directement à l'hôtel....le centre et la plage est à 10 mn ...donc c'était très bien !!!

Находиться в очень красивом месте, вокруг рисовые поля, где разгуливали павлины в свободной природе. Персонал очень дружелюбный и клиентоориентированный. Нам нужно было в один из дней устроить вечер с барбекю, мы купили сами морепродукты, рыбу, курицу. Сотрудники нам все отлично приготовили за дополнительную небольшую плату. В отеле есть площадка для йоги, где мы по утрам занимались, получили полнейший релакс. Номера тоже очень чистые и современные. Есть на территории бассейне с шезлонгами и кафе с приемлемыми ценами. Немного отель находиться вдалеке от цивилизации, но мы так и хотели. В целом с уверенностью могу рекомендовать отель! Нам все очень понравилось, обязательно вернемся еще! Все хорошо.

- Susan (3/5): - Restaurant guy 10/10.. Upstairs bar not used, why? It was all dirty and had it been clean it would of been anice area to sit away from people eating. Breakfast soft drinks changed daily but containers that they were poured into and little taps never cleaned. So many flys on food thats out for breakfast. Place is a bit run down bit it could be something amazing. Manager spent one night til 1am drinking a bottle of whisky with a couple!! Not very professional. So many staff I honestly think clean up the act and it could be a gold mine.

Un accueil chaleureux comme on en voit rarement. C’est clairement le point fort de cet hôtel. En revanche, elle n’est pas insonorisée, on entend pas mal les bruits, ce qui peut être dérangeant. Le petit-déjeuner n’était pas vraiment à la hauteur de l’hôtel, nous l’avons trouvé assez simple.

- toni (6/5): The property itself needs a lot of maintenance, and there is a clear lack of urgency across the hotel. Someone needs to - the restaurant staff member Udayanga was absolutely incredible. He works extremely hard, is attentive, and genuinely cares about providing good service. Unfortunately, his efforts are clearly undermined by the poor performance and management of other staff members. Considering the price of £65 per night, this hotel was disappointing overall. On our final night, we were left waiting at reception for over an hour while the owner went to get gin, despite being told it would take only 10 minutes. When I later asked if the gin had arrived, the reception staff were passive-aggressive, which only added to the frustration. This lack of communication and professionalism was unacceptable. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. Our beds were not made every morning, even though we clearly displayed the “make me” sign on the door handle.

Особенно запомнился менеджер отеля, который нас встретил, шеф-повар и очень милый охранник(ему отдельный привет от русских гостей, уж очень он нам понравился). Расположение подальше от всего, но нам это было и надо. Мы успели понаблюдать за жизнью обезьян, белок и множество птиц).Большой теплый бассейн и вкусная кухня в ресторане( так же отдельно спасибо шеф-повару). Мы почти не находились в номере, поэтому уборка нас не особо беспокоила, но хотелось бы по чище номер, после того как в белых носках прошлись, мы их выкинули, они были черными(даже не представляете насколько). Напор горячей воды в ванной был такой, что можно было голову мыть час.

- Emelie (9/5): Loved the scenery - We stayed in the family svit and got a beautiful big room with 2,40cm wide bed +2 singel beds, sofas and balcony overlooking the pool. Really liked the location with a more jungle vibe and ricefields around the hotel. Some of the personnel didn't speak english that well, but we made it work.

Местопребывание в джунглях 🌴 невозможно описать наши эмоции словами ❤ восхитительный отель, с чистыми номерами и частными вилами, вид из окон которых открывается на рисовые поля и непролазные тропические леса❤ вкусные завтраки, когда солнце уже стоит высоко под пение птиц и крики синих павлинов, которые, как по заказу прилетают покрасоваться на утренние трапезы❤на территории обитают вараны, пальмовые белки, обезьяны, мангусты. Нам удалось их не только увидеть , но и понаблюдать за их жизнью. Персонал очень гостеприимный, отзывчивый, во всем помогали, обходительный весь персонал. Чистый бассейн с утра прохладный но к обеду прогревался, как надо что бы освежиться. До пляжа ехать на тук тук минут 15. Восхитительное место - желаем каждому побывать здесь

Находится далековато от главной улицы, но на тук-туке можно за 7-10 минут добраться до основного пляжа. Красивая территория, пальмы, фонтаны, павлины..большой бассейн. На этом пожалуй все. Мы бронировали апартаменты, но при заселении было много свободных номеров и нам предложили на выбор остаться в этом номере или с доплатой выбрать отдельную виллу с бассейном, на что мы согласились. Там также была кухня, для нас было важно ее наличии, так как готовим самостоятельно. Но оказалось что баллон газовый пуст и если мы хотим, то можем купить газ) и нам заменят баллон. Расчет на то чтобы мы питались в ресторане этого отеля. (цены на еду приемлемые). Очень много пыли как в номере так и снаружи (зона кухни, бассейна). За 4 дня нашего пребывая ни разу даже не подмели при входе, хотя там было явно много листьев и требовалась уборка, о чем я попросил персонал. Но просьбу проигнорировали. Держатель туалетной бумаги отвалился в первый же день. Завтраки однотипные, ждать их ооочень долго. Было не уютно и поскорее хотелось переехать на следующей жилье.

- Arunkumar (9/5): - Very nice property in a peaceful location little away from the hustle of Gale. It's an old property but well designed in terms of aesthetics and charm. You can relax with peace here, completely surrounded by green gardens and palm trees. The contemporary style architecture (resembles a fort) is charming. They had separate dining and bar setup, overlooking the pool. We had the best breakfast of our trip here. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Some of the facilities in the room and property need maintenance and renovation. You have to go with protection against mosquitoes.

- Jörn (1/5): It was a horrible experience and we wouldnt stay there again even if it was free. - To leave after the stay The „Manager“ who told us to cancel the booking after we told him that there is a moldy smell and literal mold in the room. Also dirty bed sheets and refilled water bottles with dirt all over the bottle. At the breakfast he talked shit about us because we complained about the room with mold everywhere. Oh and the breakfast looked like leftovers from the day before and toast with butter and one kind of jam. This was a horrible experience, just dont go there if you want a nice stay.
- Gyulu (10/5): Nice place to relax, away from the crowd. - The staff helpful and kind, the rooms are clean and comfy beds. The restaurant also good one! It is far away from hustle&bustle but everything nearby. Thank you for the great hospitality! One thing: change the overused beach towels, and you'll be the best! ;)

- Roger (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely place, with a nice pool, a good Sri Lankan breakfast, and very friendly and helpful staff. The beautiful garden was frequently visited by rare purple-faced langurs, as well as colourful birds and monitor lizards. Would definitely stay there again. Tuk tuk drivers occasionally found it difficult to find, but this was not a major problem.
- Lisa (10/5): Sooo recommend! - It was a great 5 day stay, the staff, like all throughout SL were friendly and attentive. The accommodation was comfortable and clean and a lovely clean pool. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The staff were great fun and a great team! No negatives , The residents with tails were also a bonus ❤️
- Temitope (10/5): Exceptional - Had an amazing stay here, could not have wished for better facilities, staff was very friendly as well. Rotating breakfast as well. Sometimes it was hard to get a tuk/uber to come, however when the driver is called and the staff assists by speaking in the local language they always manage to find it.

- Jonathan (7/5): Great location and large rooms - Comfy beds, great location, hotel able to organise tuk tuk into town. Good pool and spacious room Towels in room were stained and smelled of mildew- on the bright side there weee plenty of towels supplied. We had dinner one night which could have been better but price was good. We ordered chocolate ice cream but what arrived was completely melted with huge shards of ice like it had been melted and refrozen many times- we did not eat this and it was not added to our bill.
- Clemens (10/5): One of the best Resorts we ever have had - We have now traveled to 58 countries and the Fort Edge Retreat is definitely one of the best we have ever had. The service is outstanding. We got an upgrade straight away and were able to move into the family suite two days early. Everything is super clean, laundry service, Prrasad, who also works in the kitchen, took us to Unawatuna or Galle and picked us up at any time, just sent a WhatsApp and a short time later he was there. On the last evening we were invited to a traditional curry. The pool is super nice and is cleaned every day. The owner and the manager are also constantly trying to fulfill every wish, organized trips and did everything else to make our stay perfect. - James (9/5): Superb - The staff is very friendly, they even arranged a birthday cake and decoration for us. The room is spacious with a nice balcony and a good bed. The pool is nice and the area is quiet. Cannot mention much: if you need a place which is quiet and has a pool: this is a great place, if you need a bit more lively environment, then it is not for you.

I recommend this lodge to everyone as it’s well worth the money and experience! Nothing
