- Valerie (7/5): Satisfying and the pool was great!! - Nice location. Comfortable beds. Breakfast could’ve been better. Bathroom door wouldn’t shut properly

- Mark (9/5): very good - na na
- DANA (10/5): - The staff at the check in counter were very courteous, friendly and professional. Nothing to report at this time.
- Davis (10/5): - Very spacious and very comfortable beds. There was an issue with having a stand-up shower when we requested a tub and it was no problem to switch our rooms the front desk was amazing. Honestly there was that really anything that we didn't like. Wished of course there was a hot tub but the pool was amazing.
- Karen (10/5): Excellent stay , will return soon. - Everything Nothing

- VERONICA (6/5): The pool definitely would have made a big difference. - Breakfast was good, had a variety to choose from. The pool has a foul smell.
- veronica (8/5): Would stay here again - Was very nicely decorated, very clean, and comfy bed The ac unit was not working very well. Would only turn on for about 30 seconds and shut off. Room was very hot all night
- Eleanore (8/5): - Room was nice, trundle bed was weird. Pool area wes very m
- Jasmine (10/5): - Very nice room clean and comfortable
- Evelio (10/5): - Great
- Myron (10/5): - Very nice facility, and helpful staff.
- Polcio (6/5): Comfortable Hotel, But Double Charged - We stayed at this hotel with my family for one night (11th to 12th). While the property itself is comfortable and the rooms are well maintained, our overall experience was affected by several shortcomings.
On the positive side, the room was spacious, clean, and pleasant. The bathroom was also in excellent condition, offering good-quality toiletries and a comfortable setup.
However, there are some aspects that require improvement. The breakfast selection and the dining area are very basic, and all cutlery provided is disposable paper and plastic. This significantly reduces the overall quality of the breakfast experience.
The most disappointing issue, however, was related to billing. Despite having prepaid for the room through Booking.com, we were charged again upon arrival. I promptly contacted the hotel by email to report the double charge, but unfortunately, I received no response. I ultimately had to file a complaint through Booking.com to get the second charge refunded.
In conclusion, while the hotel itself provides comfortable accommodation, better attention to detail during the check-in process is essential. Ensuring accurate billing and improving communication with guests would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
- BrianA1767 (2/5): Stay Anywhere Else - I booked and prepaid this hotel months in advance for a family trip. Just hours before check-in, Saturday of Labor Day weekend, the hotel informed me that they had overbooked and would not honor my reservation. Instead of arranging a comparable room at another property, I was forced to find my own. This left me scrambling last minute with my family to secure alternate accommodations and absorb the costs myself. Being a holiday weekend, few rooms were available by that time, and everything available was more expensive.
Communication was unprofessional and dismissive, and in dealing with the hotel’s GM Tomas since the incident, it’s clear that this property is poorly managed.
Travelers should know: if you value reliability, accountability, or basic hospitality, book elsewhere.
- DENNIS (8/5): - Hotel is nice clean and quiet except the room next to ours. I called at the reception desk and requested a towel and they told me to come down and pick it up.
- Jeffrey (10/5): -
- Ann (8/5): - We liked our room, and the staff was friendly. On the morning that we checked out the breakfast was a bit lacking. No coffee, waited for a while then gave up. I was also a bit disappointed in the pool area. The room was so uncomfortably hot that we decided not to swim. We will stay with SpringHill Suites again because the rooms are fantastic.
- Mounir (7/5): - acceptable
- Mitchell (10/5): - I absolutely loved this property! They were so kind to our family from start to finish. My daughter had trouble sleeping because she forgot her medication. My wife had to drive 2 1/2 hours back home, 2 1/2 hours back to bring it to her. She woke up late for breakfast, but the staff was so kind and hooked her up anyway. They didn’t have to do that because it isn’t required. They offered to do that just because. They didn’t even know the whole situation of why she woke up late. when we go back we will use this location again!
- jefflY5033RL (2/5): Pick another place - Rooms were not ready at check in and staff were extremely rude. After multiple hours of waiting for the room the room was still not clean and we had to clean the room ourselves.
- Marla (10/5): - Our stay was clean and the beds were comfortable. Felt safe with many other families staying in the hotel. Parking was great. The only issue was not enough luggage carts. The front desk only has 2 and definitely needs more for the amount of people needing them. Free breakfast was great. The coffee was consistently out, but the lady trying to keep up with everything was very friendly and tried to get more out as soon as possible. Overall, it was a great day and would recommend over other hotels in the area.
- Steele (6/5): - Shower door didnt shut all the way. Bathroom sink wouldnt drain. Bathroom sliding door was off track and unable to close. Decent breakfast options.
- Alberto (8/5): - Overall it was a good place to stay at. Clean and convenient. The only thing was the front desk did not have anything extra like sheets, pillows, towels.
- David and Kim (8/5): - Location
- Sara (9/5): -
- Kathryn (6/5): -
We booked this hotel to have a pleasant night swimming and having time together. The pool was not open, offered to go to the pool two hotels over, but that was not what we wanted. Disappointed.
- Crystal (6/5): - I’ve stayed here before and had a wonderful experience but this last time wasn’t as great. I don’t know if the refrigerators in the rooms have changed but it wasn’t convenient to have a fridge that would only cool for two hours at a time. Shouldn’t have to push a button for it to kick on. After our second night we kindly asked if we could have a refresh of towels and we we returned the towels looked like they were just thrown on the couch. All the dirty/used towel still left on the bathroom floor. The trash was emptied but wasn’t replenished with new trash bags.
- Verified traveler (4/5): We won’t be staying here again. - We did not have room service. The refrigerator froze our food. We did not have shampoo but had 2 body wash. One kept falling on the floor and wouldn’t stay taped to the shower wall. The room was either too cold or too warm. It was hard to regulate the temperature.
- Mandy (8/5): - The staff was friendly enough, cleaning during your stay subpar and had to keep asking for extra towels
- Mollie (2/5): Marriott should disenfranchise this hotel - We arrived for check-in and the lobby was full of people waiting in line with one older gentleman who seemed incredibly confused trying to check everyone in. We waited approximately an hour and a half in the lobby to check in while children ran all over the place, screaming and practically knocking guess over. Finally, after we checked in, we went to dinner and went to our rooms after returning to the hotel. This was a typical Marriott hotel room and I as usual got the accessible room. The room was freezing no matter what I did. I could hear the guy in the next room roll over in the middle of the night. The wallpaper was literally falling off the walls. Literally stay anywhere else.b
- Myron (8/5): - Only disappointment wasn’t staff/hotel. Family with small children above us let them roam loudly until late at night, and we heard every foot stomp through the ceiling.
- terry (8/5): - It works for what we had going on.
- Jessica (8/5): - Hotel is clean and conveniently located. The morning staff was wonderful, and the breakfast was great. Staff at check in was not friendly, and we were unable to get two extra towels for our room (four people on the reservation, only two towels allowed at a time is what we were told)
- Meghan (6/5): - Some parts of the hotel looked like they needed fixed. The couch bed was dirty, but the room was nice. Except the ceiling in the bathroom needed repaired. The pool was cold and the pool room was roasting. Some staff were friendly and others were rude. Free breakfast was convenient and it was a quick drive to Silver Beach. The stay was fine, but I don’t think we’ll be back.
- Ashley (6/5): - Staff, great! Towels, negative ... 700 for two nights and only 3 towels for 4 people? Ridiculous
- Robert (2/5): - The property manager, Zac (no “h” on the end according to staff), REFUSED to talk to me because I used a third party (Orbitz) non-refundable reservation. The manager literally hid in the office. I was so enraged that I almost went behind the desk and almost called the police.
As a Marriott Bovoy member, I have never been so disrespected. This is because the staff and manager have ZERO accountability, in their minds, to reservations booked through an agency.
I will NEVER use Marriott again. I will now always book Hilton.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Aiden at check in was very nice. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the television as there was no signal. We were told hotel maintenance staff was not available. We did attempt to reset the cable box without success.
- Roger (10/5): - .
- Y6106TJpaulb (2/5): Disappointing Stay-Poor Service at SpringHill Suites Benton Harbor - We stayed at this hotel with three rooms for four nights (June 26–30). While the hotel itself looks relatively new or recently updated, the customer service was among the worst I’ve experienced in years of business and personal travel.
Despite requesting housekeeping every day, we never received fresh towels or basic supplies. We had to go to the front desk multiple times for toilet paper, tissues, and towel exchanges. The front desk staff were dismissive and unprofessional. One person said they would “see” if they could help, but rarely even wrote our room numbers down.
We are Bonvoy Members and have stayed in many Marriott properties. This experience was well below standard. The only person who seemed to care about guest experience was the breakfast attendant who, although clearly overwhelmed, did her best.
We won’t be returning to this location unless there is clear evidence of a change in leadership and service culture.
- Gracia (8/5): - Room had no towels and no coffee cups for morning. Just a maid issue probably. All in all, the room was clean
- JOHN (2/5): - My experience was almost so bad as to be funny. We had a significant number of service complaints which we took up with the manager. When I posted a negative online review, he literally ejected us from the stay, giving us thirty minutes to pack our bags. You can't make this up.
- Eccles (3/5): Poor - The room in itself was clean and it was a nice updated property Our tv in our room was out the entire trip ,we had brought it up to the staff multiple times of our stay, they chose to do nothing about it. It was very hard trying to entertain our 3 small children. The pool was all at full occupancy most of our stay. Breakfast was limited and very picked thru. I think overall we could of found a more affordable hotel with better amenities and staff who actually cared
- Shantel (10/5): Great hotel - Super friendly hotel staff! Beautiful spacious rooms. We really only had two complaints but honestly it isn’t a reflection on the hotel.
1. The second night we stayed the fire alarm kept going off. It was annoying but again no reflection on the hotel.
2. There was a group of guests that were extremely rude, not just to us but to the hotel staff. Our last two mornings my husband and son went down for breakfast and only came back with coffee ss some of the guests acted as though they had never seen food before so they piled their multiple plates and left nothing for other guests, we had to go out to eat breakfast which wasn’t budgeted but not a big deal. We were appalled the way they spoke to the hotel staff and other guests.
We will definitely be coming back again as BH is where I am from and we come back yearly to visit family.
- federico (8/5): - The breakfast area was not replenish. Some guest were not able to eat breakfast. The body wash in our room was very little that it ran out.
- john (10/5): - Great stay as a part of a longer trip
- Matt (8/5): - Everything was very clean. Only thing I would say is that the hotel wifi was not good
- Mahmoud (2/5): - Noisy, reserved two nights cut it short to one night.
- LICCI (10/5): - Comfortable rooms and great front desk staff!
- Thelonious_G (6/5): Looks good on the surface, but likely poorly run. - When you first come in, no one is at the desk. You have to call. Turns out they were helping with laundry (!). Rom looks fine. Instructions for logging onto Wi-Fi do not work, needing 2 calls to front desk. Then you discover your microwave is broken. Oops sorry, use the one in the lobby. Otherwise fine. Bed comfortable, room clean, bathroom fine—except it has a barn door—what cruel person puts a barn door on a bathroom?
- Detrice (2/5): - The room was dirty my son couldn’t even sleep on the sofa bed
- Deborah (6/5): - I booked the handicap room with accessible shower. When I arrived to the hotel it was booked. How is that possible. The room shouldn’t have been available for me to book if it was occupied. Then they only have one handicap room with an accessible shower. When the patrons left. I was told the room was available. My family and I was there for a funeral. During the repast my husband and I had to switch rooms. When we arrive to the repast it was over. Just highly disappointed.
- Deborah (8/5): - Best area to stay in Benton Harbor
- Marelesha (10/5): - Nice and friendly staff
- Eric (10/5): Perfect - Perfect
- Dlee (8/5): Nice stay for one night but would look elsewhere if in the area again. - The building looked well kept up and the inside lobby was nice as well. The room was clean as well. The pool was so cold and that was a disappointment since there was no hot tub to warm up in. My kids lips were blue and they were just shivering. The surrounding area was run down and kind of sketchy, we made sure to not leave the hotel in the evening.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quick Stop - Lovely new hotel.
- Michael (6/5): Okayest Stay. - The rooms were decorated nicely, they were mostly clean but the backside of the bathroom door had lots of some sort of soap/scum film (room 411) on it.
The staff was friendly. The lobby was nice. The room amenities were appreciated. (Microwave, fridge, desk, couch, tv, heat/ac with good controls)
Sadly the ‘Free’ WiFi was so terrible it should not be listed as an amenity - that’s a con. I knocked a star for this. 0.35mbps. They charge $5 to get ‘premium’ but we didn’t purchase it since the free stuff was so bad and no guarantee of service or speed at $5. Internet 1/3000th the speed you have at home isn’t internet at all.
The last concern is a design oversight. There is only a sliding barn door for the bathroom. A traditional close-able door at the toilet would be more ideal providing real privacy that’s appreciated in a small space.
- Danczyk (8/5): Very good - The hotel and room were nice, the pool was very cold however. The night staff older gentleman was a nice man however, my 3rd party booking had issues on their end and the man made sure to let me know the lady in the morning didn't add sales tax so I got charged less... However with the booking.com they did add it and was the same price as the night before ( we extended our stay)... He made sure to let me know it wasn't done right on their end and I showed him and explained to him I paid the full price as the day before... And he made sure I knew the lady messed up the booking to the 3rd party booking which wasn't my fault.
- Rodalin (8/5): - Accommodation for 6 people
- Rodalin (8/5): - Can accommodate 6 people in a room.
- steve (8/5): - Everything was enjoyable
- Cameila (9/5): Great! Just wish there a hot tub near the pool. - The property was really nice and clean! One of the morning front desk crew was watching my family & I during breakfast. Made us uncomfortable. Made us feel like we were being watched as we were going to make a mess or take too much food or something.
- Massy (9/5): Superb -
- Sherry (10/5): - Very nice
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Kyles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cynthia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tonya (10/5): - The only thing we could really say we weren't thrilled about was the comfort of the bed. It is quite run down. Other than that, the room and hotel were clean and beautiful.
- Ellayna (7/5): Good - The cozy room, free breakfast, friendly staff. The urine dripping from the ceiling into the bathroom. Causing us to move rooms to 2 queens when one of the main reasons we booked here was because they had a king bed suite. Very disappointed but other than that it was decent.
- Gerry (9/5): It was good - First floor access to back door for safe parking Personnel just recently taken over front desk
- Georgina (9/5): Superb - Very clean and large suite. The staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good. There were a lot of options. Coffee, tea, or hot cocoa in the lobby was really nice to be able to grab a cup on the way in or out. Lighting was a bit dim in the bathroom, in my opinion. There were no luggage carts. Also, this is a cashless property.
- Decker (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yevheniia (4/5): Disappointing - Location. Room, breakfast.
- RICK (10/5): - Very nice clean and updated. Staff was very nice and helpful.
- Kenneth (10/5): Had a great night would have liked a muffin or pastry choice at breakfast - Location and cleanliness Breakfast variety
- Shannon (9/5): Superb -
- Patty (9/5): Superb -
- cindy (10/5): - Very nice place to stay.
- Edson (10/5): Pleasant but limited by lack of transportation from 1 point to the other - Breakfast was okay
Need for a variety Lack of hotel transport esp for clients without transport to and from airport
- Jan (8/5): - Nice stay
- Jesse (6/5): I would consider booking elsewhere next time. - Has a pool Asked for an extra pillow and I was told there weren’t any left.
- Don (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable.
The staff was friendly and helpful when needed.
Would stay again!
- Paola (10/5): - Very clean and good breakfast
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional -
- User (1/5): Bad -
- User (1/5): Bad - This place is horrible. This room was dirty.
- User (1/5): Bad - One star is the worst choice. Doesn't even rate that. 2 beds but only 1 chair. When we asked for another chair, so both could sit at the table, we were told no one had more than one chair. I guess we take turns eating. Floor not level, new paint okay but toilet seat is yucky. Water won't turn off completely in the sink.
- Johnson (1/5): Bad -
