Man zahlt für das Erlebnis und muss sich gut überlegen, ob es einem das wirklich w - Wahnsinns tolle Lage, Abgeschiedenheit - es ist etwas sehr besonderes in einem schwimmenden Häuschen zu übernachten Leider ist das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis extrem strapaziert. Es sind einfache kleine Hütten, das Restaurant war das schlechteste während unseres ganzen Thailand Urlaubes und dafür sehr teuer. Auch die angebotenen Aktivitäten waren völlig überteuert. Das Hotel könnte einfache Dinge leicht verbessern. Zum Beispiel nicht morgens um 7:00 mit einem lauten Wagen mehrfach an den Zimmern vorbei rumpeln, besserer Service im Restaurant und eine bessere Küche. Dann könnte der Preis gerechtfertigt sein.

• Nellie (9/5): Eine absolute Ruheoase auf dem See - Das 500 Rai Floating Resort ist etwas ganz besonderes - Eine absolute Ruheoase auf dem See. Die Sonnenaufgänge über dem See zu beobachten, war wunderschön! Die Boat-Safaris, die Kajak-Tour oder die Wanderung zum Tarzan Viewpoint kann ich sehr empfehlen! Die Aussicht von dort war phänomenal! Der Service war gut und das Essen war lecker (auch für Veganer ist die Auswahl gut). In einem floating Haus zu wohnen, war eine super Erfahrung. Ich habe meine Tage dort sehr genossen
• Carina (10/5): Flot natur og formidabel udsigt - men kedelige hytter. - Der er fantastisk smukt midt i nationalparken. Det tager cirka 40 min med longtail boat at komme dertil. Meget sødt personale og virkelig lækker mad. Utrolig smuk udsigt og roligt. Dejligt at der er gratis kajakker. Der er fin aircondition på værelserne men mangler køleskab så vandet kan holde sig koldt. Der bliver nemlig virkelig varmt i hytterne. Der er meget lydt, alt knirker og kan høre naboer og når nogen går rundt i hytten så knirker gulve. Det er for dyrt i forhold til hvad man får. Ja der er smukt men hytterne er brune og kedelige og lidt spejder hytter. Al mad koster jo og dyre drinks osv. vi havde to nætter (to voksne og tre teenagere) og det er rigeligt. Vi badede og roede i kajakker. Tog ikke på ture.
• Sinan (7/5): Exceptional views, but definitely too overpriced by at least a factor of 5. - Exceptional location and views, very friendly and kind staff. Unique experience. The place was really worn down. It is really falling apart. We stayed at the Honeymoon suite and even though it was a cool experience, you could definitely tell that it was nearing its end and things need replacement and really good renovation. The pool’s platform is cracked, the pool tub itself is torn so the lake water just comes in. The doors don’t close properly, due to gaps. Shower floors were black and in need of replacement. For €350 per night the honeymoon suite would be worth it, but definitely extremely overpriced at €1250+ per night. Not worth it at all for that price. I guess the other villas are even worse compared to the honeymoon suite we stayed at.

Besonders der herrliche Sonnenaufgang über den Bergen war ein echtes Highlight. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Unser Bungalow war schön, gemütlich und perfekt, um die Ruhe und Natur zu genießen. Ein ganz besonderer Ort, den wir jederzeit wieder besuchen würden. 🌿🌅

• Nancy (3/5): Disappointing. Not worth the money. Go to a different resort. - Very good. Like the choice of a cooked item from the menu in addition to the buffet. 500 Rai is nice but it's not a $1000/nite value!! Way too costly. I would book a different resort, more in the center of the karst area. We were going to catch a private boat back at ~2:00. Our Booking confirmation said an 11 am check out. So we packed up and departed our room. Then at the desk, they said we had until 1 pm to check out. Had we realized that, we would have planned something for the morning. As it was, we decided to leave on the group long tail at about 11. So we lost about half a day there. The people at the desk weren't apologetic re the lack of notice re check out time; but they were super-concerned that we didnt ask for a refund on our private boat-to the point of having us sign a release! MONEY seems to be their main concern, not guest satisfaction. The free "Lake tour" doesnt go in the area where the karsts are the most magnificent. 500 Rai sits at the edge of a flat part of the lake. Not as scenic as other of the floating resorts we observed. Also, the private long-tail on the way to 501 RAI wasn't covered in the passenger area and rain was eminent. It was small and we got sprayed with water as the man plowed thru the waves on the lake. The driver didnt do anything scenic en route. Those who took the group long tail had a large, covered boat, no spray and the driver took them thru some scenic areas en route. Those differences should be noted where people make the choice, as we would have done the group boat had we known how little we were getting for the extra money we paid.

• RACHEL (9/5): מלון שהוא חלום, חוויה חד פעמית! - מלון שהוא חלום, חוויה חד פעמית! שקט ושלווה יוצאים מן הכלל וצוות מאד מקצועי ונעים. המלון כולו אסטטי מאוד, ממוקם במיקום פנטסטי בלב אגם צ'או-לאן, חדרים יפים על שפת האגם, אפשר לקפוץ ולשחות באגם או לשוט עם קייאק צמוד. חוויה! ארוחת בוקר מצויינת. הנסיעה הלוך ושוב בסירה היא בנופים יפהפיים וחוויה בפני עצמה. חוויה חד פעמית בגלל המחיר שלטעמנו היה מעט מופרז, לכן שהינו בו רק לילה אחד. כל הזמן יש תחושה של "מלון יקר לתיירים עשירים". צריך לשלם בנפרד על כל שירות, למשל הסירה הלוך ושוב. ראינו בכך טעם לפגם. מסעדת המלון טובה מאד אך יקרה יחסית למחירי תאילנד וכך גם המסאג'ים.

Le prix est totalement déraisonnable par rapport à la qualité des prestations : chambres petites et au confort sommaire, cuisine de cantine mais au prix fort, cout des transferts prohibitif…. Bref, des prix de 5 étoiles pour une prestation de 2 étoiles.

• Natasha (8/5): Most beautiful location, so somehow worth it, but expensive and food needs to be much better. - There is no better view. And the beds are fantastic. Great to have one’s own canoe and patio. Easy to get in and out of the wonderfully clean warm fresh water. Loved the place. Incredibly expensive. Food average to below average and also expensive. Unclear communication before coming. Feeling of everything needing to be paid extra. Staff ok, some kind. Some not so friendly.
• Weident (9/5): An experience to make - Amazing place situated right on the water, with an astonishing view and very friendly staff. I enjoyed jumping directly in the water after waking up. After that, you go for a 20 min kayak trip and visit wild monkeys in the trees. Very good food and luxurious ambiente - with corresponding prices. I did not regret going there for a minute. Transportation to the venue was not perfectly organized - but no problem at all. And the free internet access is limited. Also no problem given the place and the ambiente.

Polecamy zorganizować łódkę do hotelu i z powrotem na własną rękę na pirsie - ta organizowana przez hotel jest dużo droższa

• Loves Wine (8/5): Experience was a once in a lifetime glamping options to stay on such a beautiful national Park lake - View, location, food was delicious. Staff did not like Americans and not only showed it, but told us. They were not helpful with trying to get WiFi to clarify transportation for departureand just kept telling us it was “spotty” yet guests checking in were able to get access. Help with WiFi was asked for 5 times, with “emerrgency” words used due to fact we needed transportation the very next morning from pier. . Credit cards for many guests could not be run when checking out due to poor WiFi, which required a staff member accompanying us to the 7-11 to get cash out of an ATM which she just shoved in her pockets. We were told several times “maybe you ran out of money” or reached “your limit” which was not true, we had plenty of money,and we had no further issues at any other place. Many other.guests were “not able to pay” when trying to check out when using Visa cardsfrom many banks and counties and yet no accountability was taken by resort for not having a Wi-Fi system that could run these payment options, but instead blaming guests and acting annoyed. So check out cost us time and interfered with travels arrangements The tours were all booked by the time we arrived except the evening wildlife tour which was overpriced for viewing 2 birds. Communication needed to take place through booking.com which was in inconvenient Though food was excellent, it was overpriced ($100 USD bottle of wine with limited other options) and served by staff that gave the impression they didn’t want to be working there.
• Uri (10/5): A luxurious stay at a resort that floats on a quiet lake - A resort that floats on a quiet lake. It is as luxurious as can be for such a rustic setting (e.g., lukewarm shower water). The moto is "disconnect to reconnect". No real wi fi. But you have your own kayak to tour the lake and you can join hotel excursions (free and paid). There are also various activities at the hotel; we learned to make Thai tea and dessert. If you are looking for the opposite of the busy Phuket-style resort, connecting to others in your party and to nature, this might be the place for you. If you are lucky, you will see many birds, some moneys, and (if you are very lucky) a wild elephant. We could not get more than lukewarm water in the shower. But the weather is warm and this is not the kind of place where you worry too much about that.

• Andrea (9/5): A very special time with my family! Priceless. - I was nervous when I read some recent reviews but we were thrilled with our time here. The newer sister resort has more updated design but this spot was full of options should we have wanted more to do. In the end we connected and visited and just enjoyed the incredible peacefulness and beauty. The food is fine and met expectations for a houseboat resort. I leaned into what the staff said was good and are fine. The staff is so wonderful and they had excellent communication for all the logistics. We loved our time here and I would like to come back and stay in the 360 resort next time. Nothing!! Oh they need to sell playing cards!!! And we would have enjoyed a bigger assortment of games. And they need games for adults and older kids too.

Please don’t change a thing & keep your amazing place this serene, authentic & beautiful Small improvements to the food could be done, they really try and most is fantastic but if something could be improved it would be the food:)
• Rachel (9/5): Exceptional stay on the lake! - We had an exceptional stay at these bungalows - sleeping in a bungalow on a lake is truly an experience! The resort is situated in a spectacular location, the bungalows are very nice and clean. Food was good and Staff was very nice too. Pool area needs a bit of an upgrade and restaurant service needs to be improved.

• טל וורובייציק (7/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Rai 500. The boat transfer to the hotel was perfectly on time, which immediately gave us a great first impression. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who explained everything clearly and made us feel very comfortable throughout the stay. The hotel itself is extremely impressive, surrounded by stunning nature, and the floating pool is a real highlight that adds so much to the experience. It truly feels like a special and relaxing place, and we enjoyed every moment there. Unfortunately, there were a few disappointing moments during our stay, mainly related to the dining experience. During dinner, my wife and I both ordered meals. Unfortunately, my wife’s dish was very bland and completely lacking in flavor. While I had already finished eating, the waitress came and cleared my plate, and then also cleared my wife’s plate even though it was almost completely full. Only after removing the plate did she ask if it was okay to take it. What disappointed us most was that it was very obvious the plate was nearly untouched, yet no one from the staff approached us to ask why the dish was returned almost full or to check if there was an issue with the food. This lack of attention was very frustrating and disappointing. Additionally, during breakfast, no one greeted us or explained the breakfast setup. We were left confused, unsure if what we were seeing was the full breakfast offering. Only after we approached the staff ourselves did they explain that breakfast is served to the table, which should have been clarified upon arrival.

• Susana (4/5): - Beautiful location. Even though most people criticise the food, we found the quality acceptable. Not worth the time or money. Far from luxury. The floating bungalows have noisy metallic structures that kept us awake at night. There were hidden fees everywhere (which felt dishonest): national park entry, boat transfer, entering cave fee, plus restaurant prices that exclude service charge and VAT. When it rains, all “free” activities (yoga, breathing sessions, lake sightseeing) are cancelled, so the whole “disconnect to reconnect” idea falls apart if the weather isn’t perfect. Stunning setting, but the experience feels overpriced and poorly managed.

We will be back! - Almost everything, you have a beautiful resort and your staff were all fabulous. A special mention to your staff at the pier office who arranged for our bag to be delivered to our hotel in Krabi after we had left it on departure. We were very impressed, thank you! We stayed in the family villa (no 5) and I didn’t think the upstairs level was very safe for the children, it needs extra barriers. My daughter (age 8) wakes up every night in a sleep walking state and walks herself to the toilet, I was terrified she would step over the wrong side of the barrier, thinking that was the stairs and that she would fall directly to the floor. You need an extra rail on both sides, especially the side with the stairs to make sure the children step over the right part of the low barrier you have there. Please! I also think your restaurant would benefit from a separate lunch and dinner menu, just so there are options if you are staying for multiple days.

• Jenna (7/5): Good - We unfortunately got food poisoning after dinner one night and we were very sick the day we left. The first night of our stay there was a loud creaking noise coming from the dock outside our room, so loud it was hard to fall asleep. Other than those two things, we had a nice stay. The location is absolutely beautiful and they offer lots of amenities. Staff is amazing including the van drivers!!!

• maxime (6/5): Mauvais rapport qualite prix - Le site est magnifique et vaut toutes les etoiles possible, parlons de l hotel. Il est flottant, c est un bon boin, il a une piscine dans le lac. Les chambres sont rustiques et confortable. Cependant pour le prix, elles ne sont pas la hauteur. Un ventilateur qui grince en tournant, une partie de la cabane flottante grince avec les vaguellettes, car un tenant est dessoude, le kayak etait en mauvais etat et repare a multiple endroit. L eau de la douche part directment dans le lac, 1h d'internet gratuit apres c est payant...Le prix pour moi n est pas en coherence avec la qualite de l'hotel, mais plutot le site. Aucune information via hotels.com qu il y a des charges a prevoir en plus pour atteindre l hotel. Soit environ 50€ en plus.

• Tran (10/5): Best experience of my life! - This was one of the best experiences of my life. EVERYONE at the resort was friendly. We want to give special recognition to Egg our boat driver who took us from the deluxe suite to the restaurant everyday. The waitresses were also really friendly. I cannot say enough how amazing this resort is. Pictures do not do it justice. I want to come back again! Nothing! Everything was so great!

• Nathan (8/5): Great food, great sunsets - The restaurant is phenomenal, maybe some of the best food we had in Thailand. All excursions are extra and the main activity is really to just watch the sunrise and sunset, kayak, swim, and just enjoy the sounds of the first around you. The villas get pretty warm during the day, even with the AC running, though it all cools off nicely at night.
• Ya-yu (9/5): Superb - The restaurant is not bad as mentioned in other comments. It is not super cheap but reasonable price, considering we are IN the middle of a super huge lake. Nothing to complain. Perfect view, people, kayak... We love everything here.
• Neslihan (7/5): Perfect for couples. I would have loved a couple of days here on my honeymoon. - Such a beautiful location. Very clean and tranquil. As a solo traveler it was a little boring, Once I did the long tail boat experience there was nothing much to do. The limit on wifi made it awkward. The longtail boat experiences all felt the same. There was little to no wildlife on the wildlife safari. I have seen more wildlife in other locations randomly.

The way you receive copy paste long messages on Booking chat, starting with “GUEST OBLIGATIONS” is not a very warm way to anticipate a guest in a accommodation if this level. Also, in this unique location there should be an price WITH national park fee and the boatride included; since this is the only way to reach this place?!
• Keith (9/5): My wife and I love this place it’s our second time in 11 months and we will visit again. - The view is hard to beat. Having a kayak at your door to explore this magnificent body of water and its jungle-lined shore where wildlife thrives is exceptional. The service here is fantastic and very friendly, love the staff. The food and drinks are "Aroy”, very delicious, try the 500 Rai Mango Madness smoothie, you won’t be disappointed. The rooms get very warm during the daytime. The private toilet and shower rooms are not soundproof, they are open air design and everything you do can be heard by anyone passing by. No in-room refrigerator.
• Nati (8/5): An amazing experience to sleep on the lake - The breakfast was excellent but not plentiful, we were still hungry and felt that the food was very limited The location is amazing and rare, but the resort is very expensive compared to Thailand, and you expect that if you have already paid so much, then the transportation there will be in a more pampering boat and not in a ride where you get all wet and sit uncomfortably. An amazing experience to sleep on the lake, but I would expect this resort to pamper more and not be so expensive for a 3 star hotel, at this price all meals and food should be included, and in abundance.

• Kataliya (8/5): Great place to disconnect and enjoy with your loved ones. - The disconnect is real. You get to experience nature at its finest with those you love. The staff there were amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. It is a bit hard to get to if you are taking a public bus. The bus stop is NOT Khao Sok National Park Greenhouse. The bus stop would be inside Ban Ta Khun District, on the way towards Surat Thani. About another hour past the “Khao Sok” stop to get to the pier. Otherwise, I suggest private taxi.
• Hilda (10/5): - Het was een droom verblijf. We zijn hier 3 nachten gebleven. De rust de omgeving het uitzicht onze water villa waren fantastisch. Ik kon gewoon niet wachten om s’ochtends wakker te worden rond 05:30 om de zonsopgang te kijken . En het water was zo schoon en lekker warm het was heerlijk om erin te zwemmen. Wat wij vooral heel fijn vonden waren het personeel. Ze waren ontzettend aardig en vriendelijk. Heel goed getraind om mensen op watten te leggen. Vaak kwamen ze tijdens het diner even praatje maken of alles naar wens was en echt gemeend interesse tonen voor de gasten. We hadden direct een leuke klik met de gastvrouwen Thicha en Nipha , zelfs de stagiair Tyler deed super goed zijn best om ons goed te bedienen. Ik kan alleen onze waardering tonen voor zo’n geweldige team die ons verblijf nog een extra leuk hebben gemaakt.
