- James (8/5): Great service and wonderful food. - Wonderfully friendly stay and very easy to deal with when we had a late arrival. The water pressure in the shower was superb. The breakfast was wonderful and I would recommend this Inn to anyone. The one downside was the mattress. My side of the bed (closest to the door) had a dip and I could really only sleep on my back, as a result, and I didn't have the best sleep either of the 2 nights we stayed.

- luv2trvlRedondoBeach (10/5): Relaxing unpretensious Inn with Excellent Breakfasts - I found Lovetts Inn while doing a search for lodging with a suite near the Flume Gorge. We were running late for check-in. I called the Inn and Michelle advised she would leave the key on the front desk and the room unlocked. The Inn was easy to find. We loved the night sounds surrounding the inn. We stayed in the Nicholas Powers Suite which is upstairs in the main house. It consists of 2 large rooms, one with a queen sized bed and the other room has a queen size futon. There is a spa tub and a separate shower in the bathroom. The room has a refrigerator. There is no TV. My husband and I were travelling with our 2 adult daughters and the rooms were spacious enough we had plenty of space for our 3 large duffles. An added plus is the availability of a bathroom downstairs should someone need an immediate bathroom when the room bathroom is occupied. We particularly enjoyed the abundance of places to relax. One day I sat by the pool, while the others in my family found places in the home, and outside, to chill. There is a sun room, family room, dining area, deck, and a pool. One night we watched a DVD in the family room. Michelle's breakfasts are top notch. On Sunday she offers a buffet. Everything was warm and tasty. The homemade apple handpies are to die for as is the French Toast. We found the other guests staying at the Inn to be very friendly. It is a fifteen minute drive into nearby towns for dinner. The Flume Gorge is a fifteen to twenty minute drive. There are nearby hiking trails, but rain and an abundance of people prevented us from hiking. If you are looking to stay at an unpretentious inn that has comfortable beds, fantastic food, and is relaxing, this is the place for you.

- shuhuim2022 (10/5): Rustic B&B with an AMAZING host - Love the rustic feel of this B&B. The owner Michelle is an AMAZING host, breakfast was delicious (best bacon ever!). Quiet and low key, lots of common sitting areas to lounge/ admire the view of Cannon Mountain. We stayed in a cottage and the bed was so cosy and comfy. Can't wait to go back again.

- Q5631GOchristinec (2/5): Very disappointed - I booked in February 2022 for a too. For this weekend (May 2022) to attend a wedding. I called when I was on my way to let the Inn know when I would be arriving only to find out it was Closed!! Imagine my surprise. I had to find new accommodations on a holiday weekend! Then the Inn had the audacity to charge me for one nights stay! Are you kidding me? Absolutely unacceptable! I will be calling New Hampshire’s Attorney General’s office on Tuesday. Outrageous!!!
- Marian (8/5): Mixed experience - The Inn is far away from restaurants etc., but was a quiet place. The onsite restaurant was closed due to lack of help. However, we did get breakfast only which was fine. Our room was at top of narrow, winding stairs without handrails for half of it so was difficult with luggage or just climbing. There wasn't a tv anywhere in room or elsewhere, so nothing to do at night. Owner was hard working and sweet. Shower and bath floor treacherously slippery. Only one comfortable chair in room.

She also is an amazing baker so get some coffee cake, because it was the best I ever had! It's an old house with a 19th century floor plan, so that comes with the charm of the place. I just had a very pleasant stay here. Stayed to hike the nearby Kinsman Trail. Super!

You can stay in the main house or there are cottages on the property. We stayed in a cottage. The restaurant at night was closed but beeakfast was free every morning. Made to order by Michelle and one day there was a buffet. Very good!. Would stay there again.

The cabin was adorable, the pool was very nice, and when they say "breakfast is included" they mean it! Michelle made us fantastic breakfasts! We had a great time. Plan for long rides for restaurants. We didn't anticipate needing our grill for example, but restaurants are few and far between and have very long waits. Pack accordingly!

- Diana (10/5): Two Lovely Nights at Lovett's. - We had a very nice stay at Lovett's. We had a little snafu at check-in but Michelle accommodated us and we had two lovely nights. The breakfast each morning was delicious and plentiful. The rooms are spacious and soundproof. We stayed in the main house but would love to try the cabins out next time. If you are looking for all the bells and whistles stay at a chain. If you are looking for some history and warmth, stay at Lovett's!

Seems to be only 2 people working and the person had to defer to the other for everything. Could not have been friendlier or nicer, just seemed very busy trying to cook and run hotel.

- lewseph (10/5): Sweet stay - Michelle is the consummate host; friendly, knowledgeable and a rare cook. Breakfast features her fabulous baking and she’ll cook whatever you can dream up. The pool and common areas were immaculate. Our cottage was unfussy but very comfortable. The inn abuts hiking/ski trails and a meadow with millions of zinging fireflies. If you love this area and prefer a room to a campsite (Franstead!), this is where you go.
- ramlahn (10/5): Great stay at Lovetts Inn - We stayed at Lovetts Inn for a quick weekend away in the white mountains. The new owners are great and are extremely welcoming. We stayed in one of the cottages - #11, which had a queen bed (firm mattress) and a small sitting area with a TV. The room had a microwave, refrigerator and a coffee maker as well. The bathroom looked like it had been recently upgraded. We had dinner at the Inn and also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Overall we were very pleasantly surprised with our visit. They were also dog friendly which was great because we didn’t have to get a pet sitter to get out of town!

We both had the roast beef special and it was quite good (a baked potato would have been good). Reasonably priced wine and beer. I gather under new management so give it a try.
- 570timi (10/5): Love this place - My friend and I were heading to Franconia for a long weekend of outdoor activities. My wife suggested we check out Lovett's Inn. We took her advice and I am so glad we did. We rented 2 of the cottages and were pleasantly surprised when we entered the rooms. They were very comfortable and extremely clean. We spent three days and two nights, the food and service were excellent and the staff and owners were amaizing. I make several weekend trip a year to the area and will be looking to stay there from now on. Tim

Heard some reports of the fresh menu and pub offerings that the new own of Lovetts have brought to the table in Franconia... and it is fabulous. All the feel of the ole school Inn, amazing taste with attentive staff, and bread baked fresh daily. Looking forward to making a return.
- leons680 (8/5): First time Bed N Breakfast User - This was our first time using a BNB. We usually stick to the "Chain" hotels. Was very pleasantly surprised. We were in town as "Leafer Peepers" and chose Lovett's due to past reviews. Lovett's is a gem. The staff was excellent and the accommodations were out of the past, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It has been beautifully restored. Marilyn and Martin her husband, the owners, have transformed the place. Friday morning during breakfast, Marilyn gave us the history of Lovett's. Our breakfast was the best we had during our trip. Plenty of options and was scratch made perfectly. Our room was in a small cottage. It was tastefully decorated, warm with a fireplace, quiet, and very comfortable. Should you need wifi, it was very strong no matter where we were. The grounds are very nice with a good sized pool. They also have a small bar that was well stocked. Everyone that worked there was very helpful and friendly. They have changed our idea of BNB's.
- newspaper1994 (8/5): Great new owners - The current owners purchased the Inn this past year and they have done a ton of work to this 200+ year old inn. The rooms and charming with comfortable, period furniture and spacious. We stayed in the Lafayette room which in on the second floor of the main house. There are some quirks with the room like the water flow in the shower but nothing that you should not expect in such an old property. The restaurant is open to the public for dinner daily and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast is included with your stay and is very well done. the first morning of our stay we where the only couple at breakfast so we had totally customized breakfast. My wife and I stayed here to do some fall leave peeping and this is a great location for such an activity. The inn is a very short drive to the Flume, a section of Franconia Notch State Park. Mt Washington is a comfortable drive distance.

- Hscherm1430 (2/5): A Very Disappointed Customer - My boyfriend and I recently booked a room at the Lovetts Inn for New Years Eve. We booked this trip based upon the average review of this establishment which showed a 4-4.5 stars. We booked a 'delux room' with a king sized bed and jacuzzi for $220. Upon entering our 'delux suite', we noticed how horrible the room smelt. I have allergies and the entire room STUNK of mold. We couldn't even stand being inside for more than 15 minutes.......the bed was also not a king sized bed like we PAID for. We decided to be nice and not to ruin the owners night because it was New Years Eve and he went to dinner with his wife. We left and figured we would let him know about our dissatisfaction the next day in a polite manner. We sent an email following up about how we never stayed in our room due to my allergic reaction (the suite smelled like mold and must, had a headache right after leaving) and how run down the room was. The owner refused a refund. If I could give this place 0 stars I would and the most they should charge is $50. They should really put some money into the rooms if they are going to charge the amount they are. We are really disappointed with the lack of concern and hospitality. Will not be returning.

Room had about 15 dead and 1 live one lying about. Had to memorize the wifi code. Showed up for breakfast, but no one around, even though we had specified a certain time the night before. Plus, my 14 year old makes a better meal.

We were told by the owner that he directs the housekeeping to spray bug spray and room freshener to prevent bugs. He said they are full and had no other comment to make...... Dont make the mistake of staying here.

We stayed in one of their cabins next to the main B&B and loved it. The owners are super helpful and kind. There is a ski hill right next door. We visited the ice castle in Lincone.

- Virgilian1 (10/5): A lovely place from which to explore the North Country - My wife and I stayed for a week with our Samoyed. The cottage was clean, quiet, and set well back from the road. The main inn is the centerpiece here; the cottages are more utilitarian. My wife enjoyed swimming in the pool. We found it very relaxing. The found was excellent. The host is an excellent cook and baker. A nice place to stay.
- jacquelinerB1418MZ (6/5): Pretty, Cozy and Easygoing - The innkeeper was very friendly and the setting was lovely. We stayed in the Pine Ridge cottage, with our dog. It was warm, but lacked character. I'm guessing the rooms in the main building were more charming (although I don't know). The food was good, but not a lot of healthy options and very small portions. I would like to see more fruit and maybe granola/yogurt choices.

The rooms were quiet, the food delicious and the hosts genuine and welcoming! A great place to stay to get away from it all! we will definitely be back!
