Guest Reviews
- Doug (10/5): Convenient location and great night sleep. - Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and quiet. Continental breakfast had plenty of choices.
- Hilary (9/5): -
- Terry (10/5): The staff at the from desk was very helpful. - Breakfast was just ok nothing special. The hotel was located very close to a great restaurant and only a few minutes to my appointment destination. The room was comfortable and I was able to have a walk-in shower to use because I am an lower leg amputee and this type of shower works for my disability.
- Brandon (9/5): -
- Jillian (10/5): Enjoyed our stay. - We did a "staycation" during school break, to allow the kids to experience a change, swim, and play games with friends. Our only complaint is that the pool is very small - it appears larger in the photos. Otherwise, the facilities were clean, the staff was *INCREDIBLE* - kind, helpful, generous, and really made our stay enjoyable. We loved the lobby area, where we could watch the Olympics and play some family games. We had a great time and really appreciate the ability to hang out in a fun location, swim during the winter, and enjoy our time together. The pool is very small.
- Bob (8/5): - spacious rooms breakfast
- Kathy (9/5): Very comfortable with neatness to our Dr office - Location perfect for the GI Dr office which is what we were there for.. we would stay again
- Abigail (8/5): -
- Sherry (10/5): Very pleased, we will stay again!!! - Very clean, awesome friendly employees . Breakfast was good, nice variety of food.
- Robin (3/5): Stinky! - Appeared clean and staff was great Our room stunk like smoke really bad and we were not told the pool was closed. That was the sole purpose of our stay.
- Joan (10/5): Would stay again. - Very comfortable.
- Maximiliano (10/5): - Very standard, good stay.
- Nancy A (10/5): - Hotel was very clean in room and all public areas. Air conditioning, showers and TV all worked well. Breakfast was very good with many options. I highly recommend.
- LIMOR (9/5): -
- bigthicket (10/5): Excellent hotel close to the airport - Nice decor and had a great night sleep in the comfortable beds and bedding. The breakfast was ample with scrambled eggs and pan sausage. The oatmeal was good with multiple items for toppings. Glad we chose this hotel for our one night stay after arriving on our flight at 11 pm. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient getting us to our room quickly.
- Joanne (10/5): - Simply awesome!
- Cathy (10/5): - The breakfast was very good!!!
- abd1958 (8/5): Plastic Hotel on the Edge of Town - This is a standard Fairfield Inn - a plastic hotel on the edge of the city, near the main Carrier Heating and Cooling plant. Sort of the middle of nowhere.
I was there the week that Syracuse University new students were moving in so rates everywhere were above average.
I asked for housekeeping, but it still took an extra ask to the staff in the hallway to get it.
Due to location, there are not many food options in the area. Standard Fairfield Inn breakfast, but for other meals you’re on your own.
- Antonio (4/5): - The pool is not the best… it’s not for kids and the area is in is a little strange. The cleaning staff was rude and the breakfast was really bad the 2 days we were there. Pass on this one and is strange becuase the reviews seemed ok… super disappointed.
- Barbara (10/5): - This hotel is about 15 minutes from downtown Syracuse and the state fair by car. It is very clean and quiet. Well-maintained. Breakfast is included. There are several other chain hotels nearby but not much else. You need to have a car. Staying here was a good choice.
- Christopher (8/5): -
- Felicia (6/5): - The bed was so uncomfortable! I was in pain from the first night to checkout.
- Saravana kumar (10/5): - Renovated and clean property
- Rachel (10/5): - Lady behind the counter at check in was geniunely friendly and welcoming. The hotel looked new. Our room was immaculate with an amazing huge shower. Breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast I have ever seen. I think I would come back just for that. Highly recommend and would stay here again!
- Jennifer (10/5): - Great breakfast, friendly staff, clean rooms, hot, high pressure showers. Gym and pool- excellent

- Sarah (10/5): Family of 4 loves Fairfield - Fairfield is always our go-to hotel. The rooms are always beautiful, and clean; the breakfast provided offers a very generous selection and is delicious. The staff are happy and polite. And the locations are safe.

- Nisha (1/5): Stay itself was fine but this uneven event happened ruined most parts - I was charged twice by the property and after doing a lot of back and forth they finally refunded me my money back but it was very unfriendly staff who didn’t bother to help out To provide more training to staff
- Jonah (10/5): - Beds were great
Staff were friendly
Breakfast was really good.
- Sophia (10/5): - I love this hotel when visiting Central New York. It is conveniently located, very comfortable, extremely well maintained, and the staff are very polite, pleasant, and accommodating. The facilities are clean and very nicely decorated which makes it a very pleasant place to stay. Breakfasts are great as well! My number one hotel. In the area. You have great facilities for a family stay with a swimming pool and other amenities and it's close to shopping areas and highways. I highly recommend this hotel!
- Juan Carlos (10/5): - Excellent service
- Michelle (10/5): - Easy check-in, super clean and a really nice breakfast. Also easy parking.
- Simmarjit (10/5): - N/A
- Anthony (10/5): - Excellent stay! The friendliest and most accommodating staff! Excellent breakfast buffet with many fresh, delicious and well-stocked options. Hands-down the best breakfast we've ever had at a Fairfield Inn. The room was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and regulating the temperature in the room was easy to do. Overall, an excellent experience! Location was nice and quiet and is about a 15-minute drive to Syracuse University. We would definitely book again when in the area.
- Leonora (10/5): - This place is so clean, so well taken care of, and very comfortable. The staff is AMAZING, friendly, so helpful. Everyone was so nice to my kids. The breakfast is awesome and so well stocked! The pool also great. Beds comfortable. Definitely the one to choose.
- Daniel (10/5): - Fast check in
- peggy wu (8/5): - The hotel staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast was a bit simple, there were a lot of short hairs on the bathtub wall, the inner plastic bath curtain had turned yellow, and the bottle of shower gel was empty.
- Tiffany (1/5): -
- Steve (10/5): - Nice hotel and staff
- Daniel (9/5): - Clean, spacious
- Frank P. (10/5): - Very nice hotel with well-designed rooms and friendly helpful staff
- Sirisha (6/5): A/C a big issue - temperature control - Hotel appearance and maintenance was excellent. Staff was also very friendly. But we ran into a problem with A/c in the room. They control from front desk and even though we had them reduce it to 66, we were sweating in the room. Because of this reason we I’ll not be staying here.
- Mehran (10/5): - Great hotel, clean with very professional staff
- Julia (10/5): - Very clean and new. Great help at the desk awesome customer service.
- Nikolay (10/5): - Stayed before visiting Syracuse University. Nothing extraordinary but a good stay.
- ChiLawyer (10/5): Fantastic Fairfield! - The best Fairfield I’ve ever stayed in over more than 25 years of Marriott stays. New, clean, quiet with friendly efficient staff.
Stayed one night driving my son home from college. Very pleasant greeting at the front desk after a long day of driving, acknowledged my Bonboy Platinum status. Had messaged the hotel in the app to request my preferred room location and they took care of it.
Very comfortable new beds. Quiet room. Good-sized bathroom with good water pressure in the shower. Excellent free breakfast with make-your-own waffles.
Liked this hotel better than the nearby Embassy Suites where we stayed a couple years ago and would definitely stay here again.
- Martin (10/5): Would definitely stay there again. - Very convenient. Staff was great. We attended the Metallica concert at the dome.
- Donald (10/5): - The staff was very accommodating.
The room was clean.
The breakfast was the best Marriott property breakfast I've ever had.
The prices in the in house convenient store are way too high. $5.40 for a 20 oz Pepsi is through the roof.
- Todd (10/5): Great stay - We received a feee upgrade to a King suite on the top floor. The room was quiet, the bed was nice.
- Colleen (10/5): - Stayed one night. Receive complementary upgrade to a suite. Staff was super!
- yuanwen (10/5): -
- T (6/5): - Average hotel,
- Deannie (10/5): -
- Ann (10/5): Will be back! - Clean facilities and very nice staff Pillows were not comfortable at all
- RASG (10/5): Friendly and safe with a nice breakfast included - This is a fine place to stay. I stayed one night with my son while visiting colleges, it’s perfect for this purpose. I give it a 5 star for this experience. It’s clean, the room was fine, the breakfast was fantastic for an included buffet. The staff was welcoming and kind. It feels safe.
April checked us in and gave us a great restaurant selection (Bull and Bear), a casual fun spot less than a mile away, delicious burgers! There is a list of restaurants at the front desk if you ask. Dane, at the breakfast buffet, was awesome! Helpful and intuitive about what our family needed. When my son forgot to spray the waffle pan with oil, the waffle stuck to the griddle. Dane made my son feel comfortable and resolved the issue with grace and humor. What a nice guy! Nicki checked us out and was kind, leaving a good last impression of our stay. We would stay here again.
- Jason (10/5): - Amazing staff upon check in and everything was super clean. Love the rooms and breakfast!
- Atiya (10/5): - Love that there is a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Also, a complimentary breakfast from 6:30-9:00 am with many options, not just bagels and fruit.
- Luz (10/5): -
- danig682 (10/5): Clean hotel, great front desk staff - We stayed at this hotel in February, as we had an early morning flight. Parking was free on the property. We came in early as it was calling for snow, and had a lot of time to kill. We were thrilled to see some colouring sheets and games (Candy Land, Jenga) in the lobby. The Front Desk attendant went out of her way for us - hearing we were headed to Disney in the morning, she made my daughter her own special colouring print-outs of Disney characters.
They had hot beverages & fruit in the foyer.
We passed on the pool & the breakfast, due to our flight the next day, so no reviews on that.
- Ruth (2/5): - Over charge 70 dls over the price tried to contacto expidió with out sucess
- jimmK5558IW (10/5): Doing The Little Things Right - I travel *a lot* for work. 159 hotel nights in 2024 all across the world, 120 or so the year before. My stay last night was my 36th at this property, and I think it's a great example of how to operate a hotel reliably and comfortably.
Over the three years I've been staying here, I would have expected to see wear and tear -- the kind of thing I often see, honestly, in a lot of properties in this price range. Wallpaper peeling at the edges, dingy stained carpet in the elevators, that sort of thing. The Carrier Circle property NEVER has had that in the 36 times I've stayed. They seem to take real care to ensure that when items need to be replaced, they're replaced. No sagging light fixtures, loose toilet seats, broken elevators, or anything like that. Clean, comfortable, and well-kept.
When I'm able to take advantage of it, the breakfast area is clean and well-appointed. Despite the self-serve nature of the Fairfield breakfast, one of the morning staff often walks the dining area with a pot of coffee offering to refresh everyone's cup. The food choices are standard Fairfield fare -- if you want something fancier, try a Westin or Le Meredien! But they are freshly made, always well-stocked, and the counter is never, ever gross. I can't say that for some of the other Fairfield properties I've used in the U.S.
Here's a small detail that I think illustrates the care the staff seem to have for what they're doing: the tea-water carafe is only for hot water. Why does that matter? When you mix up the carafes, and use a previously coffee-filled carafe for tea water, the tea tastes like coffee...no matter how hard you try to clean the carafe. It's a thoughtful detail not to mix up the carafes, so that the tea tastes like tea. Those details matter.
Pricing is generally competitive and the hotel is convenient to -- though not necessarily close to -- the NYS Thruway, Hancock Airport, and the Amtrak station.
My experiences with the front desk staff have been uniformly good; I'm not particular about having someone read a script thanking me for being a Titanium Elite, but my status has always been recognized and I've always received the upgrades for which I'm eligible. I've checked in late afternoons, in mid-evening, and even at 2 a.m., and never had a problem. Likewise, more often than not I'm checking out around 4:30 or 5 am for a first-out flight at KSYR...again, never a problem. That's why I sometimes can't get the breakfast, because my flights are too early to eat. Even so, there's fresh coffee and tea ready even at that hour, and it's very welcome.
I travel enough that the small details really do make a difference; this property gets the small details right, and in ways that many of the higher-end properties I've stayed at do not (I'm looking at you, Westin Westminster, Colo.!). The management and staff here are doing it right!
(One last tip: if you need to get to the airport or Amtrak early in the morning when the Uber drivers are too sleepy or too expensive...get the hotel to hand you over to Bobby, who runs a taxi service. Bobby is phenomenal and reliable.)
- Dildine (5/5): -
- CHRISTOPHER (10/5): I would come back - Breakfast exceeded my expectations and added value to my stay. The room was clean, neat and in very good condition with a microwave, fridge and coffee maker.
- david (10/5): - Very clean and staff were excellent. Nothing at all.
- David (10/5): - Ground floor room was an excellent idea - extra tall ceilings and close to parking
- Robert (8/5): - The hotel desk staff were great, very friendly. The hotel is clean and well maintained. My only issue is that they clean out room for some reason after our first night.
- Suzette (10/5): Easy, clean, friendly staff - This place was simple to book, friendly down to earth staff, very quiet and absolutely beautiful and clean—-one of the best stays in Syracuse, thank you!
- amink000 (10/5): A Good Hotel - We stayed there or three nights with while visiting family in Syracuse over Christmas and must say it was very good stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. They were up to what one expects form this chain. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The location was very convenient. On a minor note there was no cleaning service on Christmas day and we could have used an extra pillow but otherwise it was perfect. All told we did enjoy our time at the hotel and do recommend it.
- Sly (6/5): -
- deadra (10/5): My stay was very comfortable and enhoyable. - Friendliness and professionalism of staff. hot breakfast. clean area, and responsiveness to questions or needs. no complaints

- Laurie (10/5): Excellent - Clean, great staff,excellent breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel. My only petty suggestion is that the towels weren't fluffy enough.
- Laura (7/5): -
- Kimkaye (10/5): - So Clean!! Beautiful room, not sure if it was just redone but it certainly looks that way! Very nice breakfast too willl definitely be back
- Kathryn (10/5): Great Hotel - Choose this hotel last minute as our planned hotel was smelly and dirty at check-in. This place was great, nicely lit, clean and spacious lobby. Front desk staff was very professional and nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good with a wide variety of choices.
- Sarah (10/5): - Clean
- Amy (8/5): - Very nice and clean, staff were great too. I thought it was a bit far away from everything though.
