- David (8/5): - Overall very affordable, clean, friendly staff, snacks/breakfast availability was a nice addition. Something to be aware of- the room we stayed in was very small, barely enough room to put our suitcases in. The only complaint we had was that when we arrived we mistyped the access code to the front door (too many times… our fault!) so we were locked out & dialed the # listed in the window “for lockouts” & it appeared to not be an operable number. We knocked on the door multiple times w/no answer. Eventually we googled the owners manual for the lock & figured out how to reset the keypad. Overall good experience w/ good value.

- Greg and Elise (10/5): - We arrived early for the day of check in and left our bags there and adventured for the day. They texted me that our room was ready at 11:00am and that they loved our luggage in. That was 4 hours ahead of check in time.
- stanley (8/5): - Loved the option of fruit at breakfast. When you travel a lot of times you can't eat what is best for your diet, fruit was gratefully appreciated. Our stay was very pleasant. Hopefully when we return to Alaska we will be able to stay at the Ski Inn.

- Daniel (8/5): Great little getaway place - This place was great overall. Just a heads up for people staying here; there is no elevator. If you have issues with stairs, request Room #1 or #2. Room #3 (where we stayed) is down 4 stairs, but it's not too bad. Room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. There are several eateries within waking distance.

The only downfall was no room for suitcases or to hang some clothes. Also there was no breakfast but their was a frig full of fruit, juice,yogurt,bread, bagels,cheese, sparkling waters. I would rent again if I'm back in Alaska.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Could not get into my room key pad was locked out called phone number and it went to voicemail tried again 10 minutes later was instructed to access private areas give code and then access key get iPad log in go to door of room and override lock was given my code. Was unable to get it to work propped door open every time I left the room. Went to bathroom and some how door latched. Good thing I wrote down the codes to get the iPad and login cause I had to retrieve and unlock my door again in the middle of the night.
- Sara (10/5): Wonderful stay! - Cute place! Loved the character outside and in. The common room was nice and stocked with bagels, yogart, cheese, juice, coffee, tea and other breakfast stuff. We stayed in the Ski View room which was small but had everything we needed! (Tip: don't bring a lot of baggage inside!)

We avoided using the shared bathroom as the couple of times we had to use it, one of the other guests had left pee on the floor. This was not at the fault of the owner of the property, just something for me to remember when booking in the future.

- Kathleen (2/5): - If you wanted a room where anyone in the multi unit house - or neighborhood - could sneak up the back outside stairs and easily enter by hopping through the window at waist level into your bedroom on the second floor, this is the place for you. I called the manager who was aware of the issue. Nothing could be done about it. It was sold out tonight and no one ever complained before. Maybe because Alaska is usually cold??? This is a rare warm spell. Lucky me. Women traveling solo have safety concerns. This is a solo room. I am a travel agent and was a commercial hospitality liability underwriter in another life. This should have been disclosed. I again viewed the photo of the room - there is nothing to indicate that there is a walkway and stairway outside the window. I can send pictures of the bedroom from the outside looking in from the stairway. It should not be offered as a bedroom. Make it into anything other than a sleeping unit if the safety element cannot be fixed. This is a huge fail This is NOT acceptable.
- Dena (8/5): Perfect for a nights stay. - Room was small but bed and pillows were comfy. We had a private bathroom with shower that was big and had all amenities. We were on the 2st floor close to the common area but didn’t hear any noise. The common area is very comfy and offers continental food choices.
- Chris (10/5): - Great place to stay in Girdwood for the night. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just a bed and shower. I booked a room with a shared bathroom and it worked out well. The property is very well maintained and in a convenient location to everything in Girdwood. The check in is all automated as they send you details via email. There is no staff there. The lobby/breakfast room was well supplied and had everything I needed to start my day. I highly recommend this place!!

- Jeffrey (6/5): - Mixed bag of good and bad. The good: Girdwood is a cool little town. Location is great. Cafe, a couple restaurants, small grocery all walkable. Property is clean and tidy. Multiple breakfast options. The bad: So many beeps. Yes, beeps. The keypad lock on the front door doesn’t close properly so It’s always making noise and the guests trying to get in struggle with it and inadvertently ring the doorbell constantly. There’s an ignored dryer or washer that beeps incessantly as well. There is no staff on site, so there’s nobody to welcome you or field concerns. Rooms are pretty small. A couple of rooms do share a bathroom. Not a terrible stay by any stretch, but a few annoying things that add up a bit.

There is no in room kitchenette… Our particular room was a tiny space that didn’t even a place for luggage or a tv. I would rather sleep in my car than stay here again.

- ChiShing (8/5): - The house is located in a small town midway to Whittier Cruise terminal. From there one can take to trekking or see the entire Girwood on the free shuttle. The whole town is overshadowed by snowy mountains full of 200 feet tall green trees. That makes the whole appearance absolutely picturesque with plenty of photo opportunities for everyone.

We had been on a long flight from FL and arriving to a code entry was terrible….is like going on a treasure hunt to figure out your room number which the code is your phone number. I was tired and all I wanted was to get in my room. There is not staff at any time. Hair dryer was broken and blankets and pillows smelled. Sheets were clean but only 2 towels for a 4 people reservation.

Never did see a kitchen that was pictured in the ad. We would stay here again because it was a deal for the area and OHHH yes!, Our golden retriever loved the small park behind the Inn.

I had downloaded my email from the Ski Inn but didn't realize it was an email from a year ago so we couldn't get in. The Ski Inn was very responsive when I called and found our reservation and got us in and off for a fun night! Thanks for your courtesy and all of your help!

- Beth (8/5): - This was the first bed & breakfast type place that I’ve stayed at so I was not a fan of the ‘community’ vibes the place has - I like my own space and the common area was pretty small with everyone that was also there. I expected a small room but it was smaller than I thought it would be. A folding chair or two in the room would have been nice. The wifi was great, the dining options and grocery store within walking distance was also a huge benefit. I would stay again, but only for a night or 2.

- Kelsey (2/5): - Stayed one night at the Ski inn, when I showed up it appeared I was the only one at the place, no other guests or staff. Went to sleep only to be woken up to someone trying to get into my room after 10:30pm. Startled as I didn't hear any commotion and didn't see any other cars in the parking lot. Waited to hear something and the person proceeded for 30 minutes to get into my room.. No response from the ownership as to why someone would be trying to get into my room. Eventually called 911 to check and ensure there was no entruders. Couldn't sleep the remainder of the night. As a solo female traveler would not recommend for security purposes as they don't have staff on hand and allow late reservations/"self" check-in so they dont check any ID or documentaiton.
- Eli (4/5): - The walls are paper thin and there was a consistent beeping noise coming from downstairs. It was incredibly hard sleep with the sounds going off throughout the night. I stayed in room 5 and could hear it all night. If it weren’t for the lack of sleep and the maddening beeping noise, it would have been a very pleasurable experience.

There was an issue with our keypad on arrival, but after a little while of messing with the screen it resolved itself. No staff onsite to help, it was middle of the night.

They have a couple of dog-friendly rooms which I think is great (we didn't bring our pup but it's nice to know we can in the future). The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. My only qualm was the bathroom was a sliding barn door style that doesn't lock, so true bathroom privacy can only be had if someone leaves the room, lol! But if you're comfortable with that or traveling solo, this is perfect. Also I believe a few of the other rooms have a different bathroom situation, a shared bathroom outside of the rooms that does lock, so that's also an option. Overall it was a great location and a great price - I'll defniitely be staying there again!
- Andrew (10/5): - A very nice place to stay. We had an issue with our smart lock code, but the staff was able to get it resolved quickly. The room was very cozy and comfortable and we were able to walk to all the restaurants. Would happily stay here again.
- Md Waresh Bin (10/5): A sweet memory in Girdwood - It was an amazing stay in Girdwood. The owner Troy who was not at property but we had chat via phone. Troy was nice and friendly. The property is a gem in Girdwood and luckily I hit an off season deal. I will definitely catch Troy if I go again! Thanks for great hospitality 😊
