• Mika (10/5): peaceful comfort-hotel away from townnoise. for water lover. nothing to complain. only, on pricier side, justified! - You should especially come here if you want to STAY here. because it’s the most beautiful place in the world. it‘s away from towns but still very easy to reach by frequent lanchas. water is perfecly clean around the hotel and has a lot of spot‘s to dive in even (on your risk). food is really good. views and the vibe of the whole hotel is insannee. it is on the pricier side (e.g. 150 for laundry), but justified in my opinion. if you only look for a cheap bed to sleep, obviously you don‘t come here.. i was actively looking for something to write here. haven‘t found anything. every detail is thought trough!

But we knew this when we booked. We thought we would walk over to Jaibalito (village next door), but that restaurant wasn’t great haha. Would be great if they would add some budget breakfast options for example.

Lo inaccesible que se vuelve hacer el pago, solo aceptan quetzales o dólares y el tipo de cambio era un robo.

• ANGEL (10/5): El lugar y las vistas lo es todo - El lugar es espectacular, de ensueño. La ubicación y el llegar en lancha lo hace único. Está cuidado al más mínimo detalle. Un lugar mágico donde alojarte, cumple las expectativas. El silencio uno de sus puntos fuertes. Los atardeceres son brutales. Esperábamos mejor calidad de comida, éramos dos mesas y, además de tardar un buen rato para las dos hamburguesas, nos llegaron frías. El personal amable sin más. El hecho de que solo se pueda pagar en efectivo es uno de sus grandes inconvenientes. Además, te incluyen obligatoriamente un 10% de propinas.

Truly the nicest gardens I seen on my trip and the set up of the hotel compliments them. Full of stairs and trails and spots to sit and just enjoy. I loved it It was an expensive night stay for one night, however I knew that going in to it and it was a treat to myself. Still worth the money in my opinion

The kitchen closes from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. I bought a cookie and it had ants in it. I ordered my meat well done twice, and they still didn’t cook it properly. Also, the food is not good.

We had a shared bathroom work with other guests and it was always super clean. A lot of visitors are allowed on day passes so sometimes it feels a bit like you're fighting for space with them. Ideally they cap the entrance numbers and need a few more day beds

The setting is absolutely breathtaking — nestled into the hillside with stunning views of the water, beautiful architecture, and lush greenery everywhere you look. It truly feels like a hidden paradise, peaceful and special, and the rooms and common areas are just as gorgeous as the scenery. The staff were also incredibly helpful and kind throughout our stay, which really added to the overall experience and made us feel well taken care of. The only downside was that there were quite a lot of people constantly taking photos and videos of themselves around the property, which sometimes took away from the serene atmosphere.

Het is makkelijk om de boten aan te houden en naar andere dorpen te gaan. Er is niet veel in de buurt voor ‘s avonds als de boten niet meer gaan (rond 19u). Het eten in het hotel is duur. In Jaibalito zijn er beperkt alternatieven.

Staff also amazing! Tranquil and stunning. Room 5 is close to the restaurant, by 9:30pm noise dies down but by 7:00am people are having coffees there. They do try to keep to quiet hours and this is a budget room so as long as you know the above it’s all good!

• Nidia (10/5): Friendly hotel with great staff and the most beautiful views on the lake! - First time on location, views were breathtaking! Staff were so welcoming, friendly, attentive and caring. The hotel is beautiful and the views of Lake Atitlan with volcanoes are hard to beat anywhere else around the lake. The hotel is beautifully maintained, the garden well labeled and cared for. Swimming in the lake; Guatemalan coffee and delicious menu daily. The food is prepared fresh with delicious produce, made from scratch. I highly recommend the beef dinner, it was my favorite! I snatched up the last private room for two nights (Room 16), with my own private balcony/sitting area. It has a very nice view of the lake from the bed. Very clean, you have all you need in the room, well worth the price. I would definitely want to come back and stay at this piece of paradise again. You can easily wait at the dock for a boat to take you anywhere around the lake to visit the other towns. They pass by daily. NOTE: 1. there are a lot of steps since it is built on a cliff, there are massive steps to climb up/down to get to the front desk/rooms/lake, if you don’t mind going up and down the stairs, I would highly recommend to anyone, definitely a great workout! They do have someone that can/will take your luggage up and down for you (please make sure to tip them!) 2. while it has a hot tub, it's for private use only between certain times and you need to reserve ahead of time. The lake is beautiful, clean and clear. You can jump off the cliffs to the lake, there are many terraces and platforms to sun bath and enjoy the view all over the place. It can get slippery going in/out of the lake, maybe putting a hand rail by the lake would be nice since it is not easy to get out of the lake especially when it gets wavy after noon time, possible floats for swimming would be a great addition. Payment is made at the end of check out, they don’t accept credit cards but can pay via Paypal, Venmo or ACH. Overall it was an amazing stay for us. The stairs! lol I wouldn't say I didn't like, but it humbled me quick, I need to get back to working out.

Nous n'avions pas payé pour la chambre la plus dispendieuse donc nous avions une chambre très étroite avec un balcon très étroit. L'hôtel ne prend pas la carte donc nous devions avoir de l'argent comptant. Un peu plus difficile de prévoir en fin de voyage n'ayant pas accès au menu du restaurant pour avoir une idée des prix!

• Irene (9/5): Bellissimo! - La struttura che sia bellissima è risaputo inoltre si mangia molto bene. Abbiamo potuto godere di Alba e tramonto in uno scenario incredibile. La stanza che abbiamo trovato (standard con bagno condiviso) è veramente minuscola e il bagno non è vicino alla stanza. Da tenere conto che soprattutto la colazione viene servita con mooolta calma (abbiamo aspettato anche 40 min)

Everything is well kept and the service was good. The food was tasty and it was nice to know they clean their vegetables with filtered water. The showers had hot water and everything felt clean. We were a little surprised by the prices of the restaurant and the extra cost to use the hot tub. It was confusing when we first arrived and didn’t know where things were.
