- Carolyn (4/5): - The bathroom is not great. Hostel like.

- Sean (5/5): Passable -
- John (9/5): Superb - The attention was exceptional! Pablo and his dad are doing a great job at hosting
- Nayeli (10/5): This was the best stay I’ve ever had. Besides the property being perfect, the owner Rafa and his son Pablo were super he - I loved everything about the property. The location was perfect and it was equipped with everything from hammocks, to swings, pools, and of course the lake. Also the property dogs Mia & Bella were the best! N/A
- William (7/5): Good -
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious room, beautiful views Was a little bit far from the city centre
- Natalia (8/5): Very good -
- Mairen (9/5): Superb -
- Luke (10/5): Great accommodations and food, better views, and the best people - Porto Bello is just a 10 minute tuk ride from the San Pedro boat landing, and this space from the city center makes it the perfect spot for a quiet and peaceful stay on Atitlan. The rooms were perfectly clean, comfortable, with a beautiful view of the lake. Breakfast was simple, reliable, and very tasty. The view of the lake is simply incredible, especially at night when you can sit on the swings and look out at other cities shooting fireworks across the lake (but not have to hear them). Great for families and couples. There is an Italian restaurant 200 feet down the road with good views and even better food, and a couple cafes in walking distance for coffee or a filling lunch/dinner. You could easily spend most of the weekend just walking nearby and taking in the sights. My favorite aspect was the service. Rafael and Carlos were accommodating, helpful, and delightful to interact with. Anything we needed help with Rafael was able to help and deal with immediately. Best deal you will find on the lake. I genuinely have no complaints. One thing to be wary of is with huge intense amounts of rain it’s possible for some water to get on your floor, so be sure to keep valuables on the couch or desk. However when this happened to us Rafael was around and immediately solved it with no other issues, seriously cannot recommend this gem enough.
- Farrah (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic view of the lake and nice yard to sit and enjoy in hammock swings. We enjoyed the amazing Italian spot 2 minutes away and the town is only 15 minute walk.
- John (10/5): Great experience. Very quiet and a tremendous staff. - Historical with class
- Elizabeth (9/5): Beautiful property right on the lake, kind owners and comfortable rooms with lake views and a great breakfast! - The friendly staff, beautiful location on the lake, out of town, so it was quiet. Excellent breakfast, Beautiful beachfront. The owners were so kind and welcoming. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. It is not fancy,, but well worth the prive. I would gladly go back! The room was a bit warm, there is a fan, but it wasn’t unte enough, but it is usually not this warm!
- Pam (8/5): Very good -
- Jeremy (6/5): Great value for property but the hotel is not walking distance from the town center & cold shower - beautiful property cold shower
- Katty (10/5): Exceptional - The view, the location, the staff was very helpful and friendly.
- Sedláček (10/5): Many thanks to the owner and his family for the accommodation. It was a pleasure to be there. - Breakfest was amazing and hotel is very cozy. The owner is very nice man and his family also.
- Maureen (8/5): Stunning views and cozy comfortable space - Amazing gracious staff beautiful view of the lake comfy bed It’s challenging for folks with limited
Mobility -down three flights of stairs carved into rock without a railing -but once I got to the room it was so lovely. The very kind owner even offered to bring dinner and brought a snack since I wasn’t comfortable going back up again-but for those without the mobility issues -it is fabulous and a great value
- Astrid (1/5): A total disappointment!!! - I've got to share my experience at this hotel. My friend and I were stoked to visit Indian Nose, but time was tight. We chose this place for its awesome view – figured we could at least enjoy that since we were short on time. The place itself was really nice, and they quickly helped us book the tour. But when we arrived, I was disappointed to find out the pool was closed for maintenance. Would've been nice to know beforehand.
Then, the next day, we came back around 8:30, ready to take a dip, only to find out there was no water. I messaged the front desk to ask when it would be back, and the response I got was pretty blunt: "Honestly, no idea." No apology, no heads-up – nothing. By 9:30, they said they were working on it, maybe fixed by 11 or 11:30. We were getting desperate by then, just wanting to freshen up, use the bathroom – basic stuff. But they didn't seem to care. No effort to even provide us with some water for basic needs.
We'd been planning this trip for ages, juggling busy schedules, just wanting one day to relax. Instead, it was a nightmare. We waited from 9:30 to noon for any sign of resolution – nothing. The guy at the front desk didn't even apologize, acting like it wasn't his problem. Only the lady in the kitchen apologized, but all she could offer was a bit of water to wash our hands.
Long story short: avoid this place. No professionalism, no empathy when things go wrong, no protocols. Oh, and we never even got to swim in the lake. They left us high and dry, literally. Save yourself the hassle and check out Casa Lobo nearby – worth every penny. Hotel Porto Bello? More like Hotel Porto Bummer. They completely ruined what was supposed to be a special trip and couldn't care less.
- Bernie (8/5): Very good - Staff No internet at night
- Natalija (10/5): Room are big and nice, slept like baby:) not far away from centre - All good but could be more breakfast choise All was good
- Gálvez (5/5): Passable - The staff It's top far from the tourism area, the bathroom smelled like humidity, the TV didn't work and the pool was green
- Clayton (7/5): Good - Warm hospitality and the lake view. The toilet is too humid and the room is suffocating.
the bed is too soft which seems collapsed.
- Levi (1/5): The most worst hotel I’ve stayed in my entire trip in Guatemala. I don’t even understand why people rated this as a good - View Location, uncleanliness, service quality
- Martin (8/5): Lakeside hptel - The view of Lake Atitlan and the size of the room The lack of a kitchen that guests could use
- Bocanegra (7/5): Good -
- Amy (4/5): It wasn’t entirely awful, but I wouldn’t stay there again. - The wonderful staff, the location, and the quiet. The prison-motif of the unfinished bathroom, the lack of consistent hot water, the holes in the ceiling, the drip when it rained, and the ecosystem of spiders, beetles, and moths in the room made this an affordable but unrepeatable experience.
- Walfred (7/5): Location end food was granted, - Breakfast. Location, room size Management Very disrespectful, bathroom has mold,
- Jan (7/5): Good - The view from the room or even from the bed to the lake and surrounding mountains was just unique, unforgetable and just magnificient. The stuff was very nice. There were several pools in front of hotel. The room was literally a rabbit hole dug in the hill or rock. It was very hot in the room even if an outside temperature dropped. It was not possible to ventilate the room and no natural flow of the air was ensured. There was a bathroom behind the sleeping room which was dug in the rock, i.e. the walls were made from stones. The furniture was very basic and there was only cold water, which was however fine given the heat in the room.
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing view, right from the room. It is small but beautiful and peaceful. It was perfect!
- Medeinė (9/5): Beautiful view - The hotel is in a very quiet part of the village and has direct entry to the lake. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Also, there is a small bar and in the morning hotel guests can have tasty breakfast. It was very hot in the room even with the working fan.
- Guillermo (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were very friendly. Excellent view to the lake where you can enjoy the sunrise inside the room. Bathroom is spacious enough. There are around 6 different swimming pool sizes. The location is a bit far from downtown making it a silent place. Travelling around San Pedro in tuk tuk is only 5 quetzales per person; so moving from or to the hotel is not a problem at all. There is no complaint at all.
- Angelika (9/5): Superb - The two most valuable factors of that place are view of the lake and hosts. Rooms are quite big with comfortable bads. Bathroom needs to be done better but is clean and has all you expect. Breakfast was very good. Walking distance from center of the village and ferry. We strongly recomend to go to San Juan! Pools for hotel guest are rather small but it was nice to sit and make your body relif. You have to take into concideration that part of terain is common ang public. For us it was great to see and meet local families but for some can be anoying. On evenings and sunsets place is very quiet. You have to take into concideration that part of terain is common and public. For us it was great to see and meet local families but for some can be anoying especially on Sunday morning. On evenings and during sunrice place is very quiet and uniqe. Nothing
- Carlos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (1/5): Bad -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - A little out of town but great because it is so quiet! Clean big bright rooms! Beautiful view and the staff are amazing and so friendly!! Loved my stay here!
- Monica (9/5): Superb - Hospitality, communication, help arranging transfer, delicious breakfast
- Marlene (10/5): Exceptional - Rafael was very understanding about out travel delays and accommodated us as much as needed.
- Pratima (8/5): Very good -
- Chantal (8/5): Serenity by the lake - The staff are friendly and professional. The room was large and clean. The bathroom was sufficient and the tinted windows ensured an undisputed view of the lake. The TV had Netflix which was a bonus. Multiple options for swimming either the lake or various pools located on the property. The breakfast was basic, but there is a brilliant restaurant just down the road for some home cooking. Walkable to the center of town and there are a few shops and restaurants on the way. Nothing
- Bertha (8/5): the staff was super friendly and had good breakfast - close to lake Atitlán the pools were not full and my son wanted to swim
- Tiffany (10/5): we love that the room was further away from the visit to a section. It was quiet, beautiful view of the lake. The hospit - it was further away from the very busy touristy area. So it was quiet. I love the lake view. room was comfortable
- Katarzyna (10/5): A great place right by the lake with a chill vibe - Breakfast is basic but very tasty. The view of the lake is spectacular. Staff were very attentive. Pools looked nice and clean but we didn't use them The whole site looks like it needs a bit of maintenance and some clean up
- Guglielmo (9/5): Beautiful and quiet quaint spot in San Pedro - Check-in was super easy and the manager/owner was wonderful. He was from Ecuador and runs the hotel with his family. They are fairly new and are building up their offerings, the view of the lake is wonderful and it is a nice bit away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. You can grab a tuktuk for about 10-20Q and/or walk 20-15 minutes to get to downtown. N/A
- Harsh (10/5): Bang for your buck. Better than advertised. Lovely quiet part of town. beach access 🏊♂ (rare) - This family owned small Hotel was a great find! Wish we could have stayed longer for the Hospitality, the short tuk tuk ride to the tourist area/docks(10Q)… the breathtaking Views, and great breakfast (complimentary).
The hosts were kind enough to cook us Dinner when we arrived late from a long day of travel. 💯 The rooms were comfortable, and spacious but the bathroom was lacking. Bathroom could definitely use an upgrade for the shower, ventilation and lighting.
- Corben (8/5): Very good -
- Hayley (10/5): Exceptional - The views are incredible! The place is great and roomy. The staff is amazing and kind! It is a little far from town.
- Charles (9/5): Superb -
- Zoran (9/5): Very good - Very nice and quiet place not so far from hustle and bustle of center of town. Walking distance. By the lake. Possible to swim there.
- Kefi (4/5): Disappointing -
- Dan (8/5): Very good - nice view, good cost, clean and great staff
- Al (8/5): Very good -
- Ewa (6/5): ok, but wouldnt stay again - right at the beach, big rooms, ok breakfast, quiet location management could use some hospitality skills. the included breakfast is ok but because they emphasize so much that for other breakfast you have to pay extra, leaves a bad taste. also we broke a lamp and they wanted us to pay a lot for it. just up the price a bit and dont ask for money over little things.
swimming pools need maintenance, as does the bathroom that is half open.
- Catalina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Amanda (4/5): Disappointing -
- Gamez (8/5): Very good -
- Amrit (10/5): Excellent - I had a wonderful stay at this place. Just on the shore of the lake with excellent view of the surrounding mountains. Always smiling host, Mr. Rafael is a very warm person and the breakfast served was sumptuous. Not Applicable
- Eldar (8/5): Friendly staff - A wonderful place, quiet, with direct access to the beach to relax or, if yiu are interested to take a swim in one of their 7 swimming pools. It has a recreational area with swimming pools, many of them, and some swings, tables and chairs indoors and outdoors. We stayed two nights and we are delighted with the attention, the breakfastwas ok, the kindness of the owners was at the top.
