- robinn508 (10/5): Clean and Comfortable - A clean and comfortable hotel near the Templeton Rye Whiskey Distillery. It was easy to make the reservation, check in, and check out. The room was nicely sized, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The free breakfast had variety of waffles, eggs, biscuits & gravy, as well as fresh fruit, cereal, and yogurt. We would stay here again if in the area!

Very good breakfast. Looking forward to staying there again. Manning Iowa was pleasant town, friendly people. Nice Hotel.

- Phillip (5/5): Subpar hotel in the middle of nowhere. - Location and cleanliness Breakfast was subpar. They served silver dollar sized eggs one day that were tasteless and tough. I’ve never seen eggs served in that form before. The breakfast bar was not well stocked. They served sausage gravy and biscuits with no eggs or other protein. Not a fan of this place’s breakfast. Also hotel did not have an elevator. Tough to lug 4 suitcases up the stairs to the 2nd floor. Would not have booked if I had known they didn’t have an elevator.

Great experience 👍 ...great stay ..just need to refill bath soap in the shower. We will be coming back.

- Jennifer (10/5): Lovely place to stay - A genuinely lovely place to stay. Clean, comfortable, beautiful views, decent breakfast (no eggs or bacon however). It didn’t have a lift so if this might be an issue check for a ground floor room.

The bed was comfortable, and the linens were nice. Breakfast included everything we needed. I would definitely recommend the Cobblestone to all who travel this way.

Location was quiet and safe. Plenty of parking which was great for us as we were pulling a trailer. Staff was super friendly.

The lobby smelled wonderful and the entire facility was clean and tidy. The free breakfast was fresh and diverse. We travel a lot for youth sports and this by far the best small town hotel and experience we have had over the past 3+ years.

There was a very helpful and pleasant staff to assist us. Easy to access off Hwy. 141 with a beautiful old church, homestead and 1620 Haus Barn to tour at a later date. We will be back to stay again. Lovely small Iowa town.town with great shops and recreational opportunities!

The staff were really nice. For a little town in Iowa, this was a nice place to stay with clean rooms and a comfortable bed.

- davidaS776KW (10/5): Weekend getaway - Booked a room in Manning because of a birthday party in a nearby town. The room was very spacious and clean. Had a good breakfast in the morning. Extremely friendly staff. Went to the Templeton Rye distillery just down the road while staying at the Cobblestone. The hotel is next to a cool looking church on the hill and a barn originally built in Germany 350 years ago.

- pambF7604SA (4/5): No complimentary breakfast!!!! - Stayed same weekend as a wedding party, who were thoughtless and rude fellow travelers. They would get up early each morning and eat 100% of the complimentary breakfast that was served, and late at night, run up and down the corridor yelling and slamming doors. The motel should have anticipated the large parties and ordered additional breakfast items for all the travelers. Our family stayed at 7 of the rooms that weekend and we were not impressed with the whole attitude of wedding party.

- Crystal (10/5): Wedding trip - Hotel is newer modern very clean nice hotel. We came for a friend's wedding and this was a great place to stay. Beds are extremely high for shorter people though so beware although they are very comfortable. There are several local places to eat within a short drive however they dont open till late afternoon if you arrive early.

- Verified traveler (6/5): AC Annoying Too Close To Bed - There were a couple of things that made the stay a little challenging. First of all, at my age, carrying luggage to the second floor was difficult. Facility needs an elevator. Secondly, the way the room was arranged, placed the AC only a few feet from the bed. So all night the AC kicking in and blowing directly over the bed was annoying. There was no way to change the direction of the air flow out of the unit. The bed needs to be moved away from the AC unit. Needless to say, I got little sleep....cold....hot....cold. What would help would be to move the bed where the chair is, and move the chair closer to the window. Also....polyester in the comforter....well cotton is better for comfort as it breathes.

- Verified traveler (10/5): A sure thing in small town Iowa - I always look for Cobblestone or Boulders when I'm traveling around Iowa, so I've stayed here before. As usual, I wasn't disappointed -- friendly, helpful staff, clean, quiet accommodations, and comfy furnishings. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in the area. Oh -- plan ahead for dinner, however, since options are extremely limited.

Hotel was quiet at night and the room we stayed in was spacious, and bed was comfortable. No complaints. If we ever come back that way we will definitely stay with Cobblestone again.

Apparently it stormed one night, but I never heard it. The water was soft which was a nice plus. I had a king size bed and the room was spacious. The amenities were perfect and fit my needs. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
