- darren (6/5): - I was having trouble getting a 7am GRAB car to the airport. Fortunately, the owner offered their airport shuttle service at short notice. I really appreciated that. The location is excellent, being just a short 5 minute walk to the historic site entrance. The bed was too firm for my liking. There were quite a few dead flies on the floor, which could have been swept up either before or during my stay.

Posizione perfetta, bicicletta (sebbene un po' scassata, ma qui è tutta pianura) compresa nel prezzo, così come la colazione abbondante, che mi ha permesso di saltare il pranzo e dedicare più tempo ad altre attività, dato che fino a cena la fame non si ripresentata. Caffè, tè e acqua non mancano mai e in bagno lo sciampo il bagno schiuma e il balsamo sono nei flaconi, non in quei sacchettini miseri coi quali non si fa lo sciampo nemmeno un calvo. Luogo tranquillo, silenzioso, ma anche centrale. Unico neo: i cani. Abbaiano nella notte ad ogni mosca. Ma questo credo sia una caratteristica generale qui in Thailandia. Si può parzialmente ovviare con dei tappi. Il cuscino era troppo alto e duro ma, anche qui, non credo si tratti di un'eccezione.

Interesting neighbourhood with ceramics workshops. Very quiet but only 5 minutes from markets shops and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful owner with excellent English. Very good breakfast! Nothing at all.

- Gaia (9/5): Bello nella sua semplicità - La signora che si occupa degli alloggi è estremamente disponibile. Ci ha fornito due biciclette per girare all'interno del parco storico senza costi aggiuntivi. Inoltre malgrado il check out entro le 12, ci ha comunque fatto usufruire di un bagno per una rinfrescata prima della partenza prevista in serata. Per quanto riguarda la colazione invece viene servita ad ognuno in uno spazio antistante l'abitazione assegnata.

Ci hanno lasciato le bici per girare in paese e sono state davvero comode per muoverci velocemente! La colazione tipica era buona ed è stato un piacere gustarla al fresco del mattino fuori dalla stanza. La camera è grande e confortevole e la posizione rispetto al centro davvero ottima.

- mathida (5/5): Pourrait faire beaucoup mieux ! - L'emplacement idéal près du parc historique et au calme. La gentillesse du personnel. Première nuit dans la chambre économique (chambre que nous n'avions pas réservée) située au fond de la cour, vue sur le désordre et le bazar de la famille. Dans la chambre il y avait une multitude de moustiques, une odeur insupportable d'égout, des saletés aux murs et plancher et un matelas très très dur! Deux autres nuits chambre plus récente (je crois) avec un grand lit et matelas un peu plus confortable. Wifi pas stable. Douche chaude mais peu de pression. L'odeur d'égout toujours aussi forte, vraiment très très désagréable! Petit déjeuner inclus pas vraiment bon, un bol de riz frit insipide avec un oeuf frit trop cuit, 1 sachet de nescafé et (par chance!) assiettes de fruits frais.

- GeneB123 (6/5): - Das Zimmer war sehr groß und das Bett bequem. Die Lage ist praktisch für den historischen Park. Insgesamt habe ich mich nicht sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war nicht überall sauber, Kosmetikartikel von früheren Gästen standen herum, die Gardinenstange fiel runter. Die Ausstattung ist nicht nur einfach, sondern wirkt auch sehr zusammengewürfelt. Trotz der Lage war es erstaunlich laut nachts, sowohl von anderen Gästen (morgens) als auch laut heulenden Hunden (abends). Die Anlage wirkt auf mich insgesamt nicht einladend. Zwischen parkenden Autos und hängender Wäsche ist es fast ein bisschen wie ein privater Hinterhof. Es ist auf jeden Fall in Ordnung, gerade für einen kurzen Aufenthalt, aber ich fand es nicht „gut“.

Usa is an amazing host — very kind, welcoming, and always helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Free bicycles were offered, which we used to get around easily and really enjoyed. The location was extremely convenient, within the old city and within walking distance of the night food market, which had an exceptional setting. A truly great experience overall, highly recommended.

Ontbijt is geen keuze en wordt op een vast tijdstip bezorgd bij je kamer. Heel netjes. De honden blaffen ‘s nachts, dat verstoort je nachtrust. Komen ook bij je liggen, maar dat vonden wij niet erg.

You could borrow a bicycle for free and cycle around. The staff is super nice and helpful. The room is spacious and well equipped.

- gavo1201 (6/5): - La anfitriona habla casi nada de inglés pero es muy amable y preocupada si necesitas algo. El desayuno muy rico y abundante; arroz frito y frutas frescas. La habitación tiene muy poca luz natural. No hay un lugar de recepción fijo por lo que ubicar a la anfitriona si se necesita preguntar algo, puede ser complicado. La habitacion era grande por lo que el aire no enfriaba todo como uno esperaría. Para un par de días está bien.

We were the very first guests in this new place and therefore it was spotless. No complaints whatsoever. Bit of a walk to the restaurants and entrance to the park which was unpleasant because of the rain.

- Claudia Bonin (9/5): - Gentillesse de la propriétaire. Emplacement idéal à deux pas de la vieille ville. Prêt gratuit de vélo pour explorer la ville avec un plan. Bon petit-déjeuner. La climatisation dans notre chambre ne fonctionnait pas, dès que la propriétaire l'a su, elle nous a proposé une autre chambre. La taille et la qualité de la literie. Nous avons parfois eu du mal à trouver quelqu'un à qui nous adresser quand nous en avions besoin. Peut-être que la propriétaire devrait donner son whatsapp à l'arrivée pour qu'on puisse ensuite la contacter si besoin.

- McKeown (7/5): Great location homestay - The location is perfect - really close to the historical park and restaurants. Definitely better to stay in the old city rather than the new one. Nice and quiet. Very pleasant sitting out on the veranda by the garden. Good shower. You could borrow free bikes, which is very handy (but the bikes do need a bit of maintenance, so if you are particular then hire one near the park entrance instead). Top tips - cycle, go to the northern sector too, Chandra's restaurant is very good Air con wasn't very cool. Wifi varied a lot and didn't work for about half of the time. Breakfast is plentiful but fried rice isn't our personal taste (there was also fresh fruit however). You have to make your own drink from the room supplies. These are minor niggles really - it is a homestay so it met our expectations

(9/5): Perfekt für Ausflüge innerhalb Sukhothai - Bequeme Betten, gutes Frühstück, freundliches Personal, perfekte Lage zum historischen Park und Nachtmarkt am Abend Im Zimmer Nr. 2 gab es einen sehr unangenehmen Geruch im Badezimmer, wohl aus dem Siphon. In dem zweiten von uns gebuchten Zimmer war das nicht der Fall.

Petite Suggestion : Manque une alternative au petit déjeuner thaï (l'oeuf fris, choux rouge râpé, riz..) et le même sur 2 jours (ex pain de mie et confiture, jus de fruit) seraient bienvenus. Vélos mis à disposition en état très passable mais surtout trop petits (pour. Max 1m65 ou 1m70 : dur quand on est grand). Aucun effort en contraste, par les autres personnes et voisins sans salut et encore moins de sourire. Idem par le conducteur de ce qu'on pensait être un taxi missionné par le gîte (mais qui a été nettoyé sur place avec personnel du gîte) avec tarifs affichés, mais qui s'est fait arrêté durant près d'une demi-heure par la police (ne serait pas en règle au niveau d'une plaque, mais surtout n'avait pas de certificat sur le pare-brise, ne parlait pas anglais etc : était ce un professionnel ?), donc arrêté 30 min sans quasi justificatif. Très moyen.

Location in a quiet street just a few minutes walk from the main street/area suited us very well. Everything felt very Thai, which is about right for rural Thailand. Can't think of anything.

You can borrow bicycles for free but they were not in great shape so might be better to rent them in town. Loved breakfast (fresh fruit, fried rice with an egg). No coffee provided for breakfast (you can use the kettle in your room if you didn't already use the two instant coffee sachets). Rooms are not very cheerful (grey walls).

- Lauren (9/5): 10/10 stay - We really enjoyed our stay, we ended up staying another night. It is a lovely guest house, the room is huge, bathroom very clean. We were given a corner room with a lovely outside area near banana trees. Our host was exceptional, she gave us a map, highlighted some places in the area. Even cooked us a delicious breakfast every morning outside our room which we loved (fried vegetable rice with egg, amazing fresh fruit). The pottery is beautiful and loved that everything was served in her pottery, you can buy something too! There are a few dogs that are adorable on-site too but won't bother you if you aren't a fan of them, we loved though! Location also great, 5-10 mins from historical park and evening Market that runs every day except Mondays. Free bikes if you need them too, we used them everyday. Perfect!!! Nothing

- Liz (10/5): Lovely spacious rooms in an excellent location. - Clean spacious accommodation in a fantastic location in Old Sukhothai. Free use of bikes was a real bonus and the breakfast was really good. The owner was very kind and accommodating.
- Seán (8/5): A comfortable base for exploring Sukhothai - Friendly and helpful, free bikes, more breakfast than I would normally eat. The location is great; sure there are lots more facilities in New Sukhothai, but I'll take the tranquility over access to Big C any day. Water pressure wasn't super, but it was fine. Would be nice to not have the bathroom light connected to the fan, because it's noisy, but I understand why. You can't trust people to be sensible about turning on fans. The bikes, while all functional, could do with some attention. The one I used had a hub gear, but I only managed to shift once into a higher gear; it never shifted again. As a lifelong cyclist I was fine with this, but it meant you couldn't quickly get up to speed, so sometimes crossing a road or doing a U-turn required careful judgment. The dynamo light showed others you were there, but was a bit useless for showing you the road. I was prepared & had a mini torch. I didn't have high expectations though, so I was very happy to have a functional bike that allowed to explore far-flung temples & to be at one at dawn.
