Guest Reviews
- Timothy (10/5): - Nice well kept old house, pleasant host Everything was as described
- UK Turkey Trotter (9/5): An excellent historic place, well worth a stay. - gables is an historic building and stuffed with all there memorabilia of the intervening years. There is hardly an inch of wall space not decoratively used to display its, local and international history. For all that the place has been tastefully brought up to modern standards and everything necessary for a comfortable stay has been ingeniously fitted into the available space.
Breakfast was very good and there is helpful information at hand which, amongst other things, lead us to Steinhaus Keller (closed on Mondays) 801 Central Ave. It's in the basement but cellars always are and this is well worth seeking out. German Beer, wine and food as well as other international food and drink. Just a short walk away. Nothing.
- Laura (10/5): -
- Mike (9/5): Safe, comfortable and clean accommodations near attractions. Friendly staff with helpful tips ans advice on local attrac - Great location! Comfortable and well maintained. Coffee wasn't the best, but breakfast made up for it.
- Vicki (10/5): -
- Yaguchi (7/5): -
- Nijole (10/5): Elegant, vintage, comfortable B&B with all the amenities - The house is absolutely beautiful - a grand old solid manor, and it is charmingly decorated with special decor and unique collectibles. Our room was at the top of the stairs (no elevator but just one flight) with a built-in bathroom, sink, tiny kitchenette that had all the amenities like microwave, keurig coffee maker, and mini-fridge, plus a private balcony and its own air conditioning / heating unit. It was very comfortable and the hosts thought of everything a traveler would need like a directory to the best restaurants in the area and sights to see, as well as a free bottle of water drawn from the thermal springs in town. Location is perfect being just 4 blocks from the bathhouses (walkable). Breakfast was delicious and homemade - a cheese / egg / bacon souffle with toast and sausages, and fresh fruit and orange juice / coffee / tea. Our hostess Judy was very sweet and accommodating, and you could tell she really enjoys welcoming people to her home without being in the least bit intrusive. We really enjoyed our stay. All was great, no suggestions I can think of!
- Jim (10/5): - The hosts. 11a checkout.
- Carol (10/5): Great value - walking distance to downtown. - Charming Inn that's walking distance to most everything! We stayed in the Lillian room and the bed was soooo comfortable! The balcony was lovely to sit and enjoy a coffee. Her breakfast of homemade quiche and fruit was delicious, but there were not any gluten free meal options.
- ron (10/5): -
- Sandy English (10/5): Great hosts, good, location and value. - Breakfast for 3 mornings was excellent Can’t think of a thing.
- Andrew (10/5): - Fantastic service and very friendly host! The sunshine room was wonderful and was a great time to celebrate our 5 year anniversary together! Loved how close it was to downtown!
- Jason (10/5): - Beautiful place
- Tess (10/5): -
- Scott (10/5): - This is a great place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, the hosts are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent
- Lindsey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Randal (6/5): - Close to down town
- Kimberly (8/5): B&B Experience - Beautiful place literally walking distance to everything down bath row and all the local bars and restaurants. complementary Breakfast was a plus and the hosts of the b&b was very nice. My only issue was the house sounds control walls were just too thin I could here everything including when people went in and out of the house . There were birds outside making noise starting at 2:30am all night long. So i didn't really get much sleep on the trip . But a B&B was most definitely a neat experience I think everyone should try at least once in lifetime.
- Karla (8/5): - It was close to everything.
- Rosario (10/5): - Judy and David were excellent hosts from beginning to end. The communication was excellent. They exceeded our expectation. The added bonus breakfast every morning was delish! This historic bed and breakfast has so much history and the owners have done a great job maintaining it.
- Raghuram (4/5): - Dont get deceived by photos. Room was small. Bathroom is primarily for small people or kids. Breakfast was at 9am, so pretty late. Breakfast option was very limited. Host charges for extra coffee pods also. Small TV in room. Not worth the price. Would have preferred to stay in a hotel for the price.
- MICHAEL (10/5): - First time to stay here. Would recommend. Owners were great!!!
- Jenna (10/5): - It was so cute and the hosts were very pleasant and accommodating. The location was great because the historic district is only a 10 minute walk away! The breakfast was incredible and checking in and out was simple. We would love to come back again!
- Elizabeth (10/5): Overall, the innkeeper was so sweet and helpful, and the home itself is a beautiful place to stay. - I love that it was right downtown within walking distance from everything. Also found it to be a historical property that made it more of a unique lodging. NA
- timothy (10/5): - Lovely
- Jonathan (10/5): - Very nice hosts. A quiet and enjoyable stay.
- Thurman (9/5): Superb -
- Shaunna (10/5): - The Gabbles was a perfect getaway. Perfect location and conveniently located near shops and restaurants.

- Matthew (7/5): Nice place if you don’t care at all about breakfast. - Quiet, clean, comfortable, great location. Owner was helpful with things to do and pleasant. We stay at B&B’s expecting a really nice breakfast. Our breakfast was a single piece of egg/cheese quiche and plain yogurt. Very disappointing, so much so we didn’t even chance it on the next day and ate breakfast at a restaurant.
- Robin (8/5): Very good -
- Edward (10/5): - The history preserved in this 1905 Victorian home was incredible! The owners are fantastic, friendly, accommodating and darn good cooks and hosts! We make it back to Hot Springs this will be the place to stay for us...
- John (10/5): - We had a great time staying at The Gables Inn. Everything was perfect. Will stay there again when we return to Hot Springs.
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Comfortable, well equipped rooms. Friendly and helpful host. Great breakfast to start the day.
- Beata (8/5): Gracious Historical Home Was Very Welcoming - Judy the host was welcoming and happy to share about the history of her home. The residence was loaded with historical pieces both local and from afar. Our room was comfortable with what seemed like a memory foam mattress but I did wish it had a shower. Nevertheless we made do with the whirlpool with handheld shower attachment. Breakfast was nicely prepared . Location was walk in to the downtown.
- Matt (10/5): - Excellent service and a cute B&B
- Hannah (10/5): We will be back! - Judy was an excellent host, she made us feel immediately at home. They provide an extensive and well vetted list of local recommendations for you to explore. The rooms are comfortable and have great little touches that make things easy. Breakfast was incredible and Judy provides delicious sweet treats at any time of day. Very easy walk down to the main street and close to many restaurants.
- Timothy (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (7/5): Great location and food; too many knickknacks in room - convenient location. delicious breakfast. staff provided information and sites and restaurants building access only via front stairs, while parking is in the rear. Rooms are all on the second floor with only access via stairs.
Rooms are overly decorated leaving no room for clients' belonging. Adding some shelves or drawers would be a big improvement.
- Angel (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay. Easy to walk places
- Barry (8/5): - Quaint house, interesting surroundings.
Food very good.
Negs.: Lots of stairs, small bathroom
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): We would love to return - Due to a funeral we had to change our date by 3 days… They were understanding and helped communicate with booking.com. Change was efficient and er did not lose our payment. Limited checking time but they accommodated our delay.

I would highly recommend for any couple wanting a nice quiet getaway! Would HIGHLY recommend.
- Ann Marie (10/5): - Very friendly and accommodating.
- Jackie (10/5): The hospitality and the kindness was way overboard with the owners! - The breakfast was amazing! N/A
- Dawn (9/5): Enjoyed our visit. - Walking distance to everything we wanted to do. AC unit was loud.

- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (10/5): - I highly recommend staying at this bed and breakfast!! Everyone was so friendly. Breakfast was delicious. We never had a single problem. We will definitely be back again.
- Hawthorne (9/5): Definitely would recommend this place - Staff was very informative and knowledgeable about the area and the chance to meet the other guests at breakfast and talk was great being able to help each other with things to do while visiting The fact that it was raining the entire weekend was the only thing that was a problem but they had no control over that
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - Owner was very welcoming and offered helpful recommendations. Great breakfast and was within walking distance to downtown area. Well worth the stay.
- Mary (10/5): - A nice, comfortable, and historic place to stay. The owners were very helpful and friendly.
- Falon (10/5): Exceptional - It felt very private, and was very quiet. It was within walking distance of everything we did throughout our trip which was so perfect. The rooms were a bit smaller than expected which was fine, but there was basically no storage for clothing in our room.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harold (10/5): Comfortable and clean facility. Hosts were very attentive to all our needs. Breakfast was delicious - Location and comfort
- Patricia (10/5): - Unique decorating, fantastic breakfast in beautiful setting and coffee. Hostess took time to answer our many questions, and give us a list of restaurants and places to see. One of the best B n B experiences ever.
- Rhonda (10/5): very homey feeling - very welcoming nothing
- Jo (9/5): The location was perfect for the weekend. - The owners were genuinely happy to serve you. I could tell how much Julie enjoyed waiting on her guests. She has a true heart of service! Breakfast was wonderful! A comfy chair but the size of the room dictated the amount of furniture the room could hold.
- Ray (10/5): - This was my first stay at a B&B. I liked it.
- Nick (10/5): Great place for a few day trip! - This a great place for a 3 - 4 day trip within walking distance of downtown. If you have food allergies or lactose intolerant you may want to contact the facility before your stay, but they are friendly and sweet. The building itself is gorgeous!
- Anonymous (5/5): Seemed over priced for a bit small & cramped accommodations. - location room & bathroom too small. Heat didn’t seem to work in room, so a bit cold.
- Veta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (10/5): - Owners were exceptional hosts, their home is just breathtakingly beautiful and rich in local history. My husband & I absolutely loved the daily breakfast in their beautiful dining room with the other guests. Don’t pass up this fantastic experience!!!
- Doroteo (9/5): Superb -
- Ora (10/5): Everything we dreamed off in a Bed and Breakfast! - very homey very clean and a wonderful atmosphere nothing it was great!
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Renee (10/5): Fabulous would stay there again!!🌟 - Location is excellent!! walking distance to historic bathhouse row and restaurants!! The hospitality of the owners was wonderful!! They have walking directions to their favorite restaurants and great suggestions for things to do. Made our stay so very enjoyable!! Breakfast was fabulous!!! Our room was small but all the amenities offset that. Also, it is listed on the National Historic Registry so rooms will not be super large for this type home.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Lynn (9/5): Great place to stay ! - Breakfast was excellent. Cleanliness of facility was good . Really enjoyed our stay .. Really close to lots of great eating places and attractions Room was nice, little small for my liking.. just know to book the larger room next time but definitely wonderful place
- Booker (10/5): - Amazing the customers service was great. Breakfast was great.
The jetted tub was relaxing.
- Jack (10/5): A wonderful place to stay in Hot Springs - The couple who run it are so friendly. They serve an excellent breakfast in the dining room, which you get to share with the other guests and which we found to be enjoyable. The room is really quiet overall, although we could hear some road noise during the day, but nothing too bad. The Governor's room was beautiful, with a really comfortable bed and gorgeously decorated. We loved the heart shaped jet tub we had in the bathroom. It was a nice feature to be able to sit out on the porch at night and enjoy the lovely evenings as well. We would most definitely stay at The Gables Inn Bed & Breakfast for our next Hot Springs excursion.
- Pamela (10/5): - Comfortable, clean, and great location!!!
- Maggie (10/5): Romantic spot - Beauty view and Judy was amazing ! Delicious breakfast every morning!
- Christie (10/5): Lovely quiet weekend getaway! - Judy made sure everything was wonderful! We really enjoyed our stay. The home holds its charm from 1905, with many details throughout. We will surely be back!
- Donald (10/5): - This property was amazing. Very well kept and clean. The owners were VERY gracious hosts and went above and beyond to make sure our stay there was pleasant. Breakfast each morning was more amazing than the previous. The decor in the B&B was full of little historic aid bits and was very well placed. Beautiful garden area with gazebo and little pathway. If you're looking for a great place to spend a day or two and want to be within walking distance of almost everything, this is the perfect spot. We parked the car when we arrived and didn't start it back until we were leaving. 2 blocks from everything we wanted to do on Bathhouse Row and 1 mile from the property to the end of the shopping strip. Would LOVE to stay here for future trips to Hot Springs.
- WES (10/5): - loved the entire experience loved viewing the antiques and excellent accommodations very gracious hostess
- Robert (10/5): - Loved the location. All within walking distance. Can’t wait to get back to Hot Springs. So many things to do in a short time
- Connie (8/5): - It provided a private retreat.
- Roger (10/5): - Very neat location, on the historical register, very close to everything.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff and beautiful b&b.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was unique in the design. The tub was more than one can describe. The only thing to say about the breakfast is 5 stars. I have never had a omelette that was more fluffy or tasty. Step over restaurant Judy breakfast is here. Judy was so accommodating and super nice. I don't think this is a place for small children too many breakable things.
Please try
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owners are very caring people who look after their guests as family. The breakfasts each morning were beautifully prepared and presented.
It is a very peaceful property and one could really relax there, yet it is so close to downtown.
- Shae (10/5): Perfect! - Absolutely amazing! Gorgeous, well kept home. So much charm! Grounds are just as beautiful. Walking distance to the main strand also. Enjoyed our stay, we spent a lot of time on the porch as well and the breakfast was so delicious! Judy is such a lovely host, always making sure everybody is happy. Cant wait to visit again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This place was amazing
- Verified traveler (10/5): - You can walk to any destination in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The owner was very nice, helpful and had a good understanding of the area. Breakfast was wonderful. The room had no shower, no drawer space and no room to walk. It felt vey claustrophobic. The outdoor space was nice but didn't feel comfortable walking downtown from the inn.
- Kevin (10/5): Wonderful B&B - Wonderful atmosphere, Judy (home owner) was friendly, helpful and told us about some of the must sees. Full breakfast was wonderful. Room and bed very comfortable. Bath was fantastic. Will have to go back again.
- Jennae (10/5): Great location - Great location! Friendly staff, clean rooms, standard breakfast. Breakfast seating is only once at 9:00am, works out great since most attractions/shops do not open until 10:00am. Can easily walk to downtown. There is free parking a few blocks away downtown that the hostess told us about. Hostess gave a a very handy guide to restaurants/attractions with directions from the B&B.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice place to stay. Highly recommend any one to stay here.
