A deposit via bank transfer, Western Union or Money Gram is required to secure your reservation (see Hotel Policies). The property will contact you with instructions after booking.
The 50% nonrefundable deposit is required and must be completed within 24 hours after reservation is made. Hostal Familiar La Casita de los Kimmell/ Hostel Kimmell reserves the right to cancel any reservation in which the nonrefundable deposit has not been received with the 24 hours indicated herein.
Please note that payments must be in cash, no credit card accepted. Current listed rates do not apply for the retiree discount beneficiaries.
Please note that an extra fee of USD 25 per room applies for check-in after 22:00.
To check in, please ring the bell located at the main entrance in front of the building. The side gate is permanently locked and only checked-in guests have access.
Public transportation from and to Las Tablas is available from Panama City starting at 6:30 AM until 6:30PM. 4.5 hours drive. From Santiago to Chitre and then from Chitre to Las Tablas from 5:30 AM until 7pm.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Ein Spaziergang am Abend, zeigt die panamaische Lebensweise der normalen und freundlichen Einheimischen. Unsere Gastgeberin „Martha“ spricht Englisch und ist eine ausnehmend freundliche, selbstbewusste und offene Frau. Wir haben gemeinsam mit ihr am Familientisch gegessen und sehr gute Gespräche mit vielen Informationen geführt. Danke Alles ok 👍

- Jan (9/5): Great Stay in a Lovely House - The hostal is beautiful, both the rooms and the gardens. It was nice to have a choice of breakfast items. Everything went smoothly as it should. The host was very kind and helpful. We certainly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it for everyone. Paying half of the price by PayPal in advance is not very convenient and expensive for foreign travelers. Cash only on site for the other half is also not very convenient. I would certainly have prefered to pay by credit card in both cases. Although breakfast was delicious, it lacked generosity - everything on the table was "small" and appeared to have been counted or weighed so as to give enough, but not so much as to appear generous. Coffee was a single cup, fruit salad were a few pieces of fruit, etc. It would have been nice to have been offered a refill or to have been asked if everything was enough or if we wanted more of anything,
- Paris (10/5): Exceptional - This was a last minute stop over and Martha was so helpful and lovely. She stayed up for my arrival at 10pm and arranged a taxi and a packed breakfast for me as I had an early bus the next morning (it was delicious). The room was comfortable and spacious and facilities were great. I would absolutely recommend this place.

- Jeanne (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay! Martha was a joy to know and made us feel very comfortable. - Martha was so friendly and helpful. She really made us feel at home! Her house is beautiful and there was plenty of room both inside and outside for us to relax. While we did some touring, a couple of days were spent at the home, just enjoying the ambience. The breakfasts were delicious and very filling. When we are back in the area, we would love to spend more time with her!
