Hayley (1/5): Awful- staff were very, very disappointing. - Smelled like cigarette smoke, so didn’t stay. The staff assured us they would give us a full refund, and didn’t. Multiple follow ups, and they lied about us staying in the beds overnight (we were in the room from 3.00-3.05pm only). Complete waste of money. Really disgusting that they can offer rooms that smell so bad and then not provide any refund and just ignore any attempts to have further conversations about it. Under no circumstances would I stay there. If you dislike staying in rooms that smell of cigarette smoke, I would steer clear.

Sam (7/5): A comfortable overnight stay in a lovely part of Wollongong. - Location was great, late checkout highly appreciated. It had all the amenities I needed for my overnight stay. Didn't need to use the air con or tv and there was a good amount of space in the room, it didn't feel cramped. Having the vending machine on site was excellent, very handy for drinks and snacks. Blackout curtains for privacy were a little tricky to move on the rails. The hot water for my shower took a while to come in but loved the huge rainfall shower head.
Julia (1/5): Room stank of smoke - unacceptable in my opinion - The checking in process was managed well. The room absolutely stunk of cigarette smoke - making it hard to breathe, particularly for my asthmatic son... unfortunately we got to the room at 1030pm,so too late to book anywhere else. The state of the place was unacceptable, even with the windows open.Left as soon as we could. Very run down.Marks all over the walls, toilet roll holder was broken and couldn't find any toilet paper either. Definitely not worth $300 to stay there overnight. Unable to speak to check in staff about the issues,as it only opened at 11am.

Comfortable room, fundamental inclusions—just what you’d want from a motel. We could hear most of the conversations other guests were having and it was a Saturday night, so they went late and loud. Location is great across the road from the park and beach. It's fine as a budget hotel, just don't expect anything more. The price we paid was reasonable but I wouldn't want to pay the full advertised price!

Nichole (5/5): Disappointing - Strong smell of bleach as soon as you open the door. Mould stains in the grout of the tiles and on the bathroom window. Shower head way to big for the size of the shower and water ended up all over the floor which made it a major slip hazard.

Walking distance to the beach The staff are rude and disrespectful both on check in and the second day when we said good morning and didn’t get a response. Cockroaches in room (both big and small). Our room was not cleaned daily like it said it would be. The Staff argued with my wife after she asked for clean towels because we put them in the bath thinking we would get clean ones. We were given 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 people for 3 days 2 nights. No toaster. Dirty cutlery. There was no bins outside to put rubbish in once our inside bin was full. Bathroom floor was dirty and shower curtain was mouldy. Room smelt so we opened the window but didn’t have a fly screen. Top railing near our entry on the 3rd floor was lose and wobbly. Very disappointing stay

Chris (10/5): Hope to one day stay here again, if we return to Wollongong while the building still exists. - Very spacious and comfortable apartment with tropical gardens and nice views over the park. Loved the 1960s style of the building. Very sad that it appears that the building will soon be demolished to make way for luxury apartments. This place should be heritage listed as a exceptional example of mid-century architecture.
Verified traveler (8/5): Overall OK but some warts - Location walkable to beach park and restaurants. Spacious room, some irregularities like new higher bath tiles making a trip hazard, edge smoothing neglected. My unit #1 had traffic noise, insist on #2 or 3. No reception.
Sarah (6/5): - Reasonable price given the location and spacious rooms. Less than 5min walk to beach and cafes/bars/restaurants. Easy on site parking. Older hotel but decent and comfortable. Shower temperature is always hard to get right and takes a while. Beds reasonably comfortable. Usually quiet but if there are rowdy people staying there, its not sound proofed. Not all rooms have microwaves.
David (6/5): - The location is great with the beach and pools a quick walk. I also like how close it is to the Lagoon and reserve for nice walks. The facilities are aged but the staff are doing a good job of keeping it clean. My shower head was really busted so it was spraying everywhere and this with the way the bathroom was designed meant that everything was soaking wet all the time. I didn’t like how there is no daily room tidy and clean towels. My towels were all soaked on day one and I had to ask them for new ones which they kindly made an exception for me. I think towels should be replenished daily or at least kept at the desk so it isn’t a hassle. The room was kind of dank and damp as well. You get what you pay for and the price is more because of the location.
Cassandra (4/5): - We stayed in rooms 7 and 8 close to new years, and the aircon in room 8 did not work. To her credit, the staff on shift tried to fix it which involved turning off all power in the room and us leaving the room for over an hour - unfortunately that didn’t work. There was already a fan in there so we believe it was a known issue. It was a very uncomfortable night made worse by a lopsided bed and a cockroach in the other room. We were offered a partial refund on the night but after numerous follow ups, still have not received any compensation. All in all, a negative experience. The little positives of the place have just been marred by poor service recovery.

Cam (6/5): - Old school property about to be knocked down. With a very large “new property coming soon” sign out the front I wondered how much care had been taken recently. Firstly the positives. The room was clean and tidy, the beds had top sheets and the complex is close to the beach and park. As mentioned earlier, the complex will soon be demolished and a new apartment building constructed, there has been little attention paid to maintenance of the building in recent years. I was particularly concerned about the rust in the steel hand rails of the walk up access. There was also a public roof top bbq area with an old mattress leaning against the wall! My last point of disappointment was that I seemed to have booked the only room that does face the beach, I had no idea that the room (2xQueen beds) I had booked was not included in the photos and that it faced west at the rear of the building. The room has a very small fridge (smaller than a bar fridge) and a kettle and microwave but no toaster. I would not stay here again or recommend it.

Floor wasnt vacuum and overall unclean When complaining about this staff told us to talk to manager however manager wasnt in and still waiting for a call back after 4 attempts to contact Manager

Anita (6/5): - Property was short walk to the beach. Thst is the only positive. Room was musty, undecorated. Staff took a photo copy of my licence which made me uncomfortable

Marissa (6/5): - Check in is 3pm, early check in has extra charges, never heard of that charges from different hotels or any sort of accomodation, check in 2 hours before is $30 and check in 1 hour before is $15, if the room is available why can’t they just let an early check in? Never again!

Ruth (6/5): - Best thing was the location as property in a good location, handy to everything. The bed was clean and so was the bathroom. Very basic facilities and my room looked onto carpark, outside front sitting area untidy.
