- Ann (10/5): -
- Ana (10/5): A peaceful and elegant place with excellent food, wine, and service - Casona Matetic offers a peaceful and elegant atmosphere surrounded by beautiful vineyards. The setting is calm and refined, the food and wines are excellent, and the service is warm and attentive. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy a truly special experience. What is not to like?
- Matt (10/5): - The people! The cash only toll, and how hard it was to get cash. But the awesome staff helped us!!
- Helen (10/5): Stunning location and rooms, great staff and fantastic activities - What a beautiful place - stunning room and gorgeous grounds. The staff were also delightful- friendly and so helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay. Nothing.
- Carlos (5/5): -
- Dana (9/5): -
- Becky (10/5): A really special place! - The rooms, garden, restaurant, tours, staff, wine, daily communications- just everything and everyone was wonderful. Couldn’t fault our experience. They cared about every detail.

- Mike (8/5): - Excellent facility set out for a variety of activities. Good selection of birds in the grounds.
Staff were knowledgeable and attentive. The dinner menu lacked choice. From memory there were 5 main courses on the menu. One wasn't available
- Beth Ann (10/5): A stunning location and exceptional service on every level. - Absolutely stunning location. Walking, bikes, hiking, swimming, horseback riding - everything is there. The restaurant is lovely and a good breakfast with omelettes or their specialty avocado toast. Wine tasting was exceptional. The entire staff is amazing and friendly and helpful. We wish we stayed longer. And we will defiantly come back. NOTHING
- Laura (9/5): Beautiful and cosy hotel in a beautiful setting! - Beautiful hotel and grounds, beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms, friendly service Communication could have been a little better with the restaurant. There was a mix up with our wine tasting time and there was also a bbq evening one night instead of the normal dinner service and we weren't told about this ahead of time.
The food in the restaurant was inconsistent in quality and I'd say doesn't match the quality of the hotel itself. However these small elements didn't override the overall lovely experience of our stay
- Cathryn (10/5): Lovely, peaceful spot, great wine and food. - Lovely, peaceful Offered excursions and activities were overpriced.
- Wein (9/5): -
- Anna (10/5): - Abbiamo amato tutto del nostro impeccabile soggiorno.
Bellissimo posto, staff eccezionale, ottima cucina
- JUAN (10/5): -
- DecoLins (10/5): - Tudo.. equipe.. atendimento, restaurante.. passeios.. Nada.

Nada!!!
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional - The room and property were amazing. The pictures online don't do it justice to its beauty and elegance. The vineyard is huge and very well thought. Service paid a lot of attention to detail. The menu could be better. Maybe some comfort at dinner. More choices without mushrooms.
- Liana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlie (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful place to stay in the scenic wine region, fantastic staff and magnificent rooms. We opted to go on the wine tour in the morning and I really cannot recommend this highly enough. Our guide eloquently explained the nuances of the vineyard and their unique approach to both growing the grapes and production.
- Richard (10/5): Wonderful place - Staff were absolutely amazing here The only thing wrong is we didn't have enough time to enjoy it fully!
- Frances (9/5): A marvellous place to learn about wine production and sample delicious wines. Staff were really helpful and welcoming - Beautiful location and the estate was immaculately managed.
Comfortable rooms with a lovely lounge with pool table and games warmed by a wonderful log burner It was all very good
- Karen (10/5): Lovely hotel and wonderful wines - Everything about this hotel is lovely. The staff are amazing and the food was delicious. The wine is fabulous. Would recommend to stay here Sad that we only booked 1 night. I wish we could stay longer
- Lacey (10/5): La Casona at Matetic is lovely - 10 out of 10 on accommodations, service, food & surroundings. - Beautiful location. Exceeded expectations. Lovely vineyard tour and wine tasting of the Matetic wines. The staff at La Casona were delightful and customer focused. La Casona hotel is a bit like a ranch house with rooms opening on a large courtyard with private patios facing outward. The rooms were well appointed and the bathrooms were delightfully tiled. Both breakfast, lunch and dinner were delicious. I can't say enough about La Casona At Matetic Vineyards. Highly recommend if traveling in the area. 10 out of 10

- Thirsty (10/5): Matetic Vineyards in a place you never want to leave. - WOW! Our stay 2 night stay at Matetic Vineyards was one the most amazing experience we have ever had. We enjoyed everything about the hotel. We were greeted right when we drove up. Every single employee deserves to be #1 here. We took through the process of checkin and then offered a glass of wine, where Alex went through all the activities that were offered at the Vineyard. There was so much to do! We decided to do the wine tasting and just relax the first day. Our wine expert Yostun (spelling I am sure is wrong) was the best we had in Chile. He explained the wine and their process of making wine in away that you just have to experience. The next evening we experience a Sunset Wine Event. The chef was right there cooking the food in an open BBQ pit. This was the highlight of our trip. We wished we would have booked more time at this magical retreat. absolutely Nothing

- Amy (4/5): Not worth the price point - The staff was great - Chris, Maria Jesus and Diego were attentive, friendly and warm. Really appreciated them. The rooms were fine. Comfortable and large, however, ours, Carmenere was right next to the pool/community area and we experienced a lot of noise, smelled cigarette smoke both nights (from someone outside?) and didn't have outdoor space. I mention that because rooms on the end of the space have multiple doors and chairs around them. Our room seemed to be one of the worst. The dining experience, both in terms of food quality and service, left much to be desired. This hotel is marketed as a premier establishment, but our experience during breakfast and dinner over two days was disappointing—the food was not just below average but outright poor. Considering we paid nearly $900 per night during the offseason, with meals accounting for approximately $600 per day, the value simply wasn't there—especially in Chile, where such prices are not excessive.
My low rating reflects the lack of value for money. As frequent luxury travelers who stay at some of the world's finest hotels, we expected far more. Realistically, the accommodations should have been priced closer to $300 per night, with food at around $100 per night, to align with competitive standards. For comparison, Vibo Wine Lodge offers a superior experience in both food and accommodations at comparable pricing, making this hotel fall short of its claims of excellence.
- Christine (3/5): Avoid. Disappointing all around. - We loved the gardens, the historic rooms and the wine tasting with Maria Jesus. We had an end unit, highly recommend for all the light and patio doors you can open for fresh air. The bathroom was huge.
The activity guide Cristobal was super helpful and surprised us with a mountain bike for early morning riding. Our room butler Diego was great too, he helped us with anything we needed in our room quickly and with a smile. The price per night did not reflect the value. We paid $400-600 per night at luxury accommodations on other locations that included a better breakfast but not dinner. Here, you are forced to select at least half board which wasn’t $900 per night. Fine if the food is incredible.
Unfortunately, the food in the restaurant (and the service) was abysmal. We sent back several inedible dishes at dinner, runny scrambled eggs for breakfast and the lamb chops had no meat, all fat. Nothing we ate over two nights was very good. One bottle of wine is included at dinner but only their entry level which wasn’t that good either. The bad restaurant service was the kicker. No coffee or eggs are offered at breakfast, you have to flag a server down and know to ask for them. No coffee refills are offered. The servers are unhappy and borderline rude.
Note also that this property is remote and at least 30min from all other wineries in Casablanca except Casa Marin (which has far better wine btw). Was quite the commute to leave the property for anything.
- Pappas (9/5): Superb -
- Randall (8/5): Very good -
- Molly (2/5): Absolutely not worth the money and a 3 star experience at best. - The staff was very friendly and helpful, as were the tour guides This was an awful value for money. The water in the shower wasn’t hot for a day, when they fixed it we then lost cold water in the sink. The small TV never worked even after we asked them to fix it. The pool was dirty, as were the lounge chairs, and the pool shower also didn’t work the day we arrived. The shower head was so clogged we had to scrape it out ourselves. The bed was ludicrously soft which made it hard to sleep. The floors in the room get very dirty and your feet are picking up the dirt constantly if ever barefoot. There is very little light in the rooms, and the window panes are on the front door which gives little privacy. Also maybe it’s a cultural difference but we were surprised that at a vineyard they don’t let you taste a sip of the wine before serving the entire glass. They just pour it all in and have a little piece of paper at the bottom to remind themselves what kind of wine it is. They charge you extra for every activity other than the wine tour. The food is decent but small portions and didn’t blow us away or anything. Overall if it had been 200 USD a night we would have been fine with all of this. But given the cost, we were fairly appalled by the level of facilities and experience. This is the first bad review I’ve ever given for a hotel, usually we are easy to please.
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Flavio (9/5): Very high quality short stay - must return - Lovely location- very beautiful and peaceful. Obviously great wines and good food too. Nothing. Maybe breakfast could be better given very high standards in everything else.
- Jon (10/5): Amazing place amazing staff - The photos don't it justice. It is spectacular, gardens are amazing, accommodation is great and the staff very friendly and very professional.
- Matthew (9/5): Superb - Interesting delicious and informative stay at a luxury wine farm. All the staff were helpful and the winery tour and tasting was fascinating.
The food at the restaurant was excellent in a lovely surroundings.
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (10/5): Luxurious stay in wine region - The historic building felt unique and luxurious with large shower and huge comfy bed. The staff are amazing and so friendly. Great all inclusive deal with dinner that includes a bottle of wine from the vineyard each night. Pretty grounds that include a small swimming pool and sun loungers. A lounge for guests in the main house has a billiards table and does afternoon tea for free every day. Very special place. Everything was perfect
- Stefanie (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful Hotel in the middle of magical natural surroundings, extremely well trained and polite staff, the entire team from reception to tourguides try to give from morning to evening their very best to guarantee satsfied and happy guests, 10/10 for the experience at Matetic Vineyards
- Renzo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emilio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (9/5): Relaxing stay, beautiful setting, good wine tour. - Beautiful surroundings. Comfortable room. Quiet and relaxing. Lovely breakfast. Food was good but portions at dinner small.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Afariasv (9/5): Superb -
- Ruth (10/5): Would recommend for sure - Amazing hotel, great staff, fantastic facilities
- Gwenn (9/5): Amazing rooms - and fantastic service - Very beautiful hotel, with amazing rooms with so comfy beds. The breakfast was also one of the best we had in Chile. The most amazing thing is I forgot my magnifying mirror in the bathroom, and one of the staff delivered it to me in Santiago! Now that is good service. The included wine tasting was with the lowest level wines. I wish that they would offer their higher end wines as part of the tasting instead.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional - Liked luxurious bedding Would be nice to have fresh air in the room, more screened windows
- Lesley (9/5): Superb -
- Suzannah (10/5): Exceptional - Highly recommend and the value for money is fantastic (we did half board). The winery tour itself was fantastic
- Alicia (10/5): Absolutely perfect stay - I just wish we stayed longer! Thank you especially to Alfredo, Gabo and Luciano for making our - This was everything you’d want out of a vineyard property. So lush, spacious, and overall beautiful.
The value for the money was 100% worth it - we did the half board which included dinner, a bottle of wine, breakfast, and an activity (we did a bike ride) with a wine tasting. Loved it all!
- Regina (10/5): Nice winery to visit and stay - The bathroom was amazing, huge
It looked like we were in a farm
Good wine tasting Nothing
- Jason (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): excellent quiet location with fine restaurant - authentic
- Gwilt (6/5): The staff and people were lovely, the tour was informative but could have had more tasting involved - The staff were lovely people and accommodating The accommodation felt tired, the evening food felt like a military rushed operation, no atmosphere and the wine included wasn’t much
- Federico (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sir (10/5): gorgeous vineyard hotwl made a memorable trip. - it was a wonderful treat, staying on a beautiful biodynamic vineyard. The setting was gorgeous in the Casablanca Valley and we had such a lovely room. The dinners were superb and the staff incredibly helpful. We had half board which included the dinner, but it also included an extremely informative and interesting tour of the Vineyard and winery, and then the winetasting to follow. It was very interesting for us to hear about how a biodynamic vineyard works. The grounds of the hotel are extensive, well laid out and full of beautiful flowers and trees. nothing
- Diana (9/5): A must visit for the vineyard tour - This is a brilliant vineyard, the bio dynamic tour is really interesting, it's so different to the other vineyards. The passion they have for the full circle methods of growing vines shines through, it's really innovative. Our guide Ignacio was amazing, we learnt so much and thoroughly enjoyed our tour and tasting.
Our room was very comfortable, nice decor and good bathroom. Lovely lounge too. All the staff were excellent. Dinner at the restaurant was disappointing, small portions and not great food.
- Niall (9/5): A restful yet invigorating stay. - Tasteful room. Beautiful gardens & location. Helpful staff. Enjoyable Activities. can’t think of anything.
- Douglas (10/5): This is a beautiful hotel, vineyard, and winery with excellent food and an attentive staff. - Stunningly beautiful property. Excellent food. Very attentive and friendly staff. They had some confusion about which program we had booked (half-board versus full board) and that caused some misunderstandings about what was included and what was not.
