Guest Reviews
- Lena (9/5): Nice and calm nature hut - We loved it✨ We enjoyed the calm evenings on the veranda with the view of the green nature around. The owner is veryvery kind and welcoming and made sure we were happy. We could prepare our breakfast muesli in the common area (there is a kettle with tea and coffee, a toaster with butter and jam, a fridge to store some food and enough cutlery).
The room was big, had a mosquitonet and had a bathroom. The hut is made out of bamboo and nature finds its way in. We felt safe and stayed even longer than we thought☀️
- Jack (10/5): Amazing place with an amazing host! - Absolutely loved our stay here! The host is lovely and this place deserves more recognition. Ended up extended our stay, and would stay here again.
- David (8/5): Very good - Nice spacious rustic rooms and surrounding area. Staff were nice also. Bike rental and good restaurant up the road. Very far from town and Pai doesn't have the same availability of taxis. I'm a solo traveller in my 30s and preferred to be in the town itself where there was more happening, especially for New Years.
- Aun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ovcharuk (8/5): Very good -
- Seamus (10/5): Exceptional - It’s in the jungle place is class 🇹🇭🇮🇪
- Plamédie (10/5): Quiet and charming - Amazing family running this place. Thank you so much Nada
- Chris (7/5): Nice Rustic Stay - Lovely setting, nice staff. Although not really mentioned there is a breakfast of sorts which has instant coffee and toast, sometimes a boiled egg. this was great as there is nothing around in terms of eateries. These are quite rustic bungalows with mosquito nets and paper thin walls. There is no heating or cooling, we were quite cold in the 11c overnight temps. The second night we were able to get more bedding. A floor fan is supplied for the warmer months which may be sufficient in the warmer months due to elevation.
Getting into town without personal transport or using the "Grab" app, would be a challenge.
- David (10/5): Perfect - The resort is perfect. It's a bit far from Pai but the owners always drove us to the center and we only had to pay 100 Baht which is the half price of the taxi we paid there.
It didn't feel like a hostel or a resort it truely felt like we were in a hostel family. The owners are sooo friendly, open and welcoming.
We felt really safe here and we loved it.
It's perfect to calm down for some days.
- Patrycja (10/5): Exceptional - The location is a bit far from city, but with a motorbike it’s not a problem - this is actually what we wanted. It’s a really quiet and beautiful place. The room was very clean, comfortable and had a romantic kind of vibe. The owners are super kind and helpful, which we appreciated so much. Couldn’t recommend it more!
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Flo (9/5): Great outdoors and calm mornings - Outdoor, fire pit
- Raisa (9/5): Nature Escape from main Pai town - We loved this place for the location, just 10 mins ride from town, so it’s more secluded and filled with nature. The owner and his mom were very friendly and hospitable. You can rent motorcycles from a place just 5 mins walk down the road. On our first night we had some issues with the hot water in the shower with some smell permeating the room so the owner kindly let us use another cabin while he was fixing it for us. The next day it was all okay.
- Ludo (10/5): Exceptional - The thing about Pai that we liked most, authentic hospitality excellent quality and price . Thank u
- Christopher (8/5): Very good - Great value for money, staff were lovely and very helpful No hot shower when we were there but otherwise perfect
- Barbieri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - The room is lovely and the owner is super nice & helpful.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good - - Really quiet, far from city center (what we wanted).
- Adorable people! Really helpful and nice.
Say hello to Mae Patcharin from Matt & Jenny. - bad smell from bathroom
- Ocean (8/5): Peaceful, convenient place to stay - This place is very peaceful but it was also very cold for me, thankfully the owner gave me more blankets. The room was very clean and easy to get to with my motorbike. Breakfast was offered with the deal.
- Jack (10/5): Amazing value for money, great hosts who go the extra mile for you. - Exceptional value for money, rooms were lovely. Location is a 10 minute drive into pai but you can rent a scooter from next door. The hosts are so lovely, and even dropped us into pai to get our bus back to chiang Mai. 10/10 would stay again. Nothing.
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Seif (8/5): Very good -
- António (10/5): Exceptional - Super friendly staff, very peaceful.
- Hoi (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice staff, highly recommended.

- Mike (10/5): I can't recommend this place enough. I loved it - This place is about 2 mi out of town away from the busy town of Pai. It was so quiet and peaceful there and my room was perfect. A very large room with two beds and two fans. Very nice large bathroom. And a front deck with a few bench seats to sit on.
This was one of the nicest rooms I've had on my trip to Thailand and definitely the best value for my money.
I really enjoyed my three nights here and I wish I would have stayed for another week. I could not have enjoyed my room or my stay or the friendly people any better. But I do wish there was some screens on the window windows, although I didn't have any trouble with mosquitoes
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful stay in a quiet area in Pai. The rooms were very spacious with all the facilities you need. Free coffee and water in the room and in the morning. Thank you for a lovely stay :)
- Julien (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely hosts, doing everything to make the stay very comfortable 😊
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Partington (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Room was great, family was very friendly. Only thing to note is that you need a motorcycle to get into Pai. The owner will help you if you need.
- Kellysmoxie (10/5): Exceptional - Liked the quiet location! Commutable distance to Pai if you want, a nice place in itself to spend a few days unwinding in the countryside. Some facilities weren't available that were listed, perhaps the profile needs updated. We hoped to cook here using the bbq but kitchen is minimal for guests. In saying that we really enjoyed ourselves here!
- Linde (8/5): Very good - very nice staff, comfy bed, good price, spacious unfortunately there was a rat in our room at night but luckily we had mosquito net to put around the bed.
- Victoire (9/5): Peaceful place 10 min from Pai with a scooter - - Super quiet (unless you have noisy and no respectful neighbours like we had)
- Very clean
- Big bungalow
- Tea, coffee, chocolate, water, bread, butter, jam provided
- Friendly owner
- 10min from Pai with a scooter - Thin walls so you can hear everything
- A little table with chairs or a hammock in front of every room would be really nice :)
- Partington (10/5): Exceptional - Very cozy cabins, big and comfortable.
Less than 10 min motorbike from Pai, so nice and quiet.
Owner very nice and drove us into town to get bikes.
- Hazal (6/5): Pleasant -
- Oonagh (10/5): look no further, STAY HERE when you visit Pai - we had a FANTASTIC stay at Paipunthong resort. we stayed 4 nights and were overwhelmed with the kindness of the owners. when I come back to Pai I will stay here. fantastic value, beautiful scenery, I will never forget it
- Marius (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manuel (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place and sweet hosts
- Lotta (9/5): Superb - Lovely staff, clean bungalows and beautiful location. There was a funny, rotten smell in our bungalow. Also, one bungalow has two rooms, so if you have neighbors you can hear everything
- Marius (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Sean (10/5): Exceptional - We had a fantastic stay here. Beautiful setting, very quiet and peaceful. The owner (gheng??) was extremely helpful, he gave us a lift twice and also lended us his bike when we had trouble with a rental bike. Very kind. The cabin was large and very comfortable. Nothing
- Jasmin (10/5): Exceptional - I loved Paipunthong Resort! It‘s a little bit outside the center, but therefore it‘s quiet and in the greens. The owners (mom & son) are super sweet. The room was spacious and I had everything I needed. Will comr back for sure!
- Friedrich (8/5): Very good -
- Sydney (10/5): stay here if you have the chance - the staff were absolutely amazing! nothing, loved it all!
- Charlotte (9/5): Amazing value for money, So beautiful - Loved it! - We had the most amazing stay here. It is the most beautiful property and the owners were so kind. Such good value for money - 100% recommend and will be staying again if we return to Pai. Only thing I can say is that it is an hour walk out of Pai centre, however it is a 10 minute drive so if you have a moped/car it is no problem. The owner helped us to get a moped, and drove us to Pai centre after we had returned moped.
- Anonymous (10/5): beautiful ! our favourite in thailand so far -
