• Philip (7/5): - Great location, large comfortable room, friendly staff. Bonus with the breakfast bowl Would like to give a higher score but after an 18 hour day we were keen on showering before bed but there was no hot water.
• Upasna (8/5): - The location is ideal for park visitors and the staff are extremely friendly. The price for one night is too much. There's no lift in the building and the pressure of water in the shower is so low that it increased bathing time. These are all issues that can be fixed immediately or overtime, and are not deal breakers!

The breakfast was poor ---- The room fridge was set too cold and everything was frozen solid... hard boiled eggs, oranges, and yoghurt. Disappointing. Room was too warm for sleeping....we couldn't adjust the temperature.

• Rachel (9/5): Super convenient and welcoming. - It’s open year round and in the perfect location. Close to the national park entrance and year round services. The water pressure in the bath and shower was low.
• Yee (10/5): Affordable and best money spend for a clean and spacious room - Room is clean and spacious. Bathroom also clean, the biggest thing for me when travel. Room is not sound proof so you can hear people walking above you or when they turn/use the shower, which not bad and for the hotel price, you cant find anything better than this. We love it, will 100% coming back for future stay if we ever in the area. Staff also great.

Groceries stores and eateries are within reasonable reach. You can literally walk if you would like... I definitely recommend this place. It would be even more competitive if they elaborate their complementary breakfast.

• Jacki Gerber (10/5): Beautiful lodging near Denali National Park PA - This was such a nice place to stay. It's close to Denali National Park. In a very nice setting. Lighted sign along the highway made it easy to find. The breakfast bowl was very nice. Staff gave me an excellent place to look for the aurora. Had plenty of outlets to plug in cars during the cold night. Had a really nice common area for guests to hang out. The guest book in the room had great info. Definitely will stay again.

We came in winter and stairs to building were slick. Unfortunately the great breakfast place next door was temporarily closed (not their fault) and the little breakfast snack they provided was over processed nutrigrain bars - but I guess that was better than nothing.

• Carol (8/5): The lodge met all our needs in a pleasant way. - Breakfast was unique and we were grateful for it. The bundle of items met our needs so we did not go out for breakfast. Compared to southern US, the price was high, but we found all Alaska prices noticeably higher that south east US so it was not an unexpected expense. Nothing was a big problem with the lodge.

Breakfast is prepared from before and stored in the room's refrigerator (hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bar, juice) - coffee and hot drinks all day around by the front desk (which is nice, so you can grab it and head out and eat by the woods). No restaurant in the premises, which made it tricky to find dinner as I was visiting off season. Room was spacious and clean - bathroom equipped. The room has a refrigerator and a microwave. There is parking space in the front. People friendly and very helpful. Hotel consists of 2 separate building - I stayed on the ground floor of the main on by the reception (which made the room slightly noisy at night as the back wall was by the hotel main entrance but nothing major). The breakfast could contain more carb sources.

• Jimmy (10/5): Convenient and clean; simple facility but sufficient. - Very conveniente location if you are traveling to the Denali national park! Free breakfast box in the fridge plus hot water/coffee/cereal outside. You can see northern light outside of the lodge without having to drive too far away. Staff was only onsite for certain period of time, but that doesn’t really matter as they have on-call staff if needed.

The breakfast provided (yogurt, coffee, juice, egg, granola bars) in the room is minimal but it was perfect for us since we were heading out early and weren’t looking for a big meal. I think our room had just been cleaned and there was left over product on the floor which made me almost slip and fall. We wiped it out with a towel though

• Laura (10/5): Wonderful! Recommended! - Our stay at the Aurora Hotel in the main building -- just 2 doors down from the lobby -- was extremely quiet and comfortable. We heard almost no footsteps from the workmen staying on the second floor and did not notice them leaving in the morning. Check in, with a pretty blonde lady, was delightful. She helped with places to eat and gently broke the news that the restaurant where I'd wanted to eat --with a fireplace --was closed. The fridge held 2 hardboiled eggs, tangerines, kids juice boxes, tubular yoghurt, and fruit stuffed bars. The lobby had tea, coffee, oatmeal, cider & chocolate mixes. Additionally, there were choice items for purchase at VERY reasonable prices. The room was huge, a welcome relief after 2 days in Fairbanks at "luxury" place which had the toilet paper near my armpit... And the lodge at Chena Hot Springs with no ability to control the temperature except by opening a window!

• Dmitri (10/5): - This is an excellent lodge situated just 11 miles from the Denali State Park. There are shopping (Three Bears) and dining options even in the off season.

• Tim (8/5): - The first thing to know/remember is that in most of Alaska, you will not find name brand hotels. You are in the wild. Most places will be mom and pop owned. This hotel was very clean, and the employees were very helpful and kind. The property is dated and not fancy, but you will not find that kind of hotel in this area. Other than the people above us walking on the floor loudly after we had gone to sleep, we had a nice stay.
• Robert (4/5): - Sadly, despite high-expectations based on former reviews, the hotel had non-existent WIFI and thin-walls that did little to prevent me from hearing children screaming in the next room half the night. The hotel was very dated with a bathroom that was quite disappointing. The shower didn't drain, the toilet seat was worn and there was a black mold or mildew on the roof of shower. The only saving grace was that the hotel receptionist was friendly and did her best to accommodate us when our room was not ready at check-in.

This created unnecessary inconvenience during my stay and wasn’t what I paid for or planned around. I chose this property based on the room I selected, so being reassigned was frustrating. I’d like to see the hotel honor confirmed bookings, communicate proactively when changes are unavoidable, and offer appropriate compensation when guests don’t receive the room type reserved.

Continental breakfast was a joke! It was a bowl in the refrigerator with boiled eggs, children’s carton of juice and squeeze yogurt, an orange, and a container of orange slices in juice. The shower curtain was supposed to be white but the bottom was brown from dirty water. Needs improvement

• Tonya (10/5): Highly recommend comfort, clean and location - Check in was easy, it’s an older lodge, but the rooms are updated, large, and big window. Comfy beds. Coffee, fridge and microwave in the room. Grab extra k cups from the front desk if needed. There is a central living room that has several games/puzzles. We spent time there meeting other visitors. Location was exactly where it said, so easy to find. Healy was a good base, approx 11 miles from Denali Park. The Alaskan Bean Coffee shop is about a mile away, had breakfast there for great service and good food for a reasonable price (cheaper than Denali park prices). Great location to Diamond tours group (about 2 miles). I would recommend this lodge as a great location with comfortable and clean rooms. Hot water was great.
• Kelly (8/5): - The front desk clerk was very helpful and made me feel genuinely welcome. It is cose enough to Denali National Park to be there in just a few minutes. For the price it is a good hotel to stay for a day. I don’t know if I would want to stay longer just because it was very hot in our room and we could hear the people upstairs very well.

Also why couldnt she issue me a credit. This would have saved me an additional $45.00. Very disappointing.

• Sandy (10/5): - If you are looking for a place to stay near Denali National Park, I recommend Aurora Denali Lodge. We stayed there two nights and all our needs were met. A lady with long blonde hair checked us in, and she couldn’t have been nicer. A hot breakfast is not served, but they do give you a cold breakfast, hot coffee, and hot chocolate. This lodge is not a 5-star hotel, so keep that in mind. It is a clean, comfortable 2-star lodge which is also convenient to the park.
• Duane (10/5): Nice stay - The lodge was beautiful. Very friendly, clean, quiet and comfortable. The rooms are good size. It was very convenient to the national park.
• Coleen (10/5): - The location was very convenient for day trips to Denali NP. Rose’s was an excellent choice for breakfast - right next door!

• Sriharsha (10/5): - Amazing people who made us feel welcome during our stay. The front desk was very receptive and answered any question or concerns with a smile. The breakfast was available in mini fridge and believe me that was time saver if you plan on doing any activities in Denali. Overall highly recommend.
