Guest Reviews
- Angela (10/5): Luxurious. - Amenities I liked everything!
- liveoak911 (10/5): -
- Tina (10/5): The staff was absolutely wonderful - Very safe No concerns
- Maria Dolores (8/5): Top option for the Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, Georgia - The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect near I-75 but with no road noise. Our room was not ready when we arrived a bit before 3:00 pm and we had driven 6 hours from Charleston to make it for the Cherry blossom parade. This made us late to get an Uber to downtown Macon.
- Barbara (10/5): - The room was great. The staff was friendly, especially Dianna. Pepsi products.
- Robin (10/5): Excellent experience. - Breakfast was excellent. A mix of hot foods and self serve items. Two attendants on duty to replenish, restock and clean. Not a fan of the open shower where water spray invariably wets the floor. Trendy, but impractical. I predict the LVP will be replaced.
- Anne Marie (10/5): -
- Maddie (3/5): Sad hotel for Marriott - Location off I 75 Shower dirty
Needed towels
Loud music playing
Hole in wall in kitchen area
Neighbors playing TV loud and parking dog until midnight
Staff had no friendliness
- Danielle (8/5): -
- Swift (10/5): excellant - great nothing
- Kelly (9/5): Nice place - Comfy bed
- Janice (10/5): - Very clean snd convenient
- Demetrius (10/5): -
- Randall (10/5): - Staff is super friendly. Rooms are large and updated with full kitchen amenities. Directly across the street from Mercer University main gate. 5 minute drive to downtown Macon eith lively restaurant, bar and music venues.
- Joellendattilo (10/5): Great Choice - This is a great,,and, less expensive choice just off the Mercer campus. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious…included with room. Staff were genuinely nice.
- Regina (10/5): - It’s walking distance from Mercer university
- Becky (10/5): -
- Michael (6/5): - Just okay at best
- Debbie (10/5): - Location and clean, staff was friendly
- Expattraveler100 (10/5): Gretchen made it a lovely stay - Nice to get upgraded as a titanium into a suite. The hotel is relatively new so everything was lovely, fresh and clean. I’m not a big fan of this group of hotels as most I’ve experienced are old and smelly so I avoid them, but this one is the best and right off I75. Some casual restaurants and bars are all within walking distance and the parking is free. It has a pool and gym. Only disappointment was breakfast is totally cleared away and gone by 9am. Gretchen on front desk on check in and check out was delightful and gave us waters as we missed breakfast. I recommend this place!
- Melanie (10/5): The Staff are the highlight of this place! - It is one of the most convenient places between Mercer University & the storage unit we had to store my college student’s belongings when the freshman year had ended It’s also right near the highway so expect the sounds of trucks & emergency vehicles
- Lorenza (10/5): - The staff along with the location is excellent
- Jubori (10/5): - Amazing
- Dawn (2/5): - I was over charged and won’t stay at a Marriott hotel again
- Lorenza (10/5): - The staff professionalism and dedication to the clients
- Roseanna (10/5): - Check in was efficient and room is spotless!
- Stephen (10/5): - Another great stay at this property.
Thanks to all.

- Ervin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johnny (10/5): Highly Recommend - Great stay, clean, great service, great breakfast. Nice gym too. Highly recommend.
- Denise (10/5): - The reception was wonderful. The beds, all room amenities and the shower- all top quality and very clean and attractive. Closet was exceptional. Good coffee available in the lobby, which itself was spacious, with plenty of seating type options, including workstations, and very open and airy.
- Thomas (10/5): i expected a "nice" play to stay but this was exceptional! - clean and staff were attentive and courteous!
- Carolyn P (10/5): - Check in was quick and easy. The staff was very friendly.
- Vicki (10/5): - Room ready when we arrived. Friendly staff
- Hector (10/5): Great Hotel - Great clean place to stay.
Staff was excellent
Highly recommend it
- Dani (4/5): - Bed was comfy and the convenience of the kitchen was great. TV did not work, reported but no technician on duty. AC was pathetic, didn’t always stay cool and difficult to figure out to use the hidden wall thermostat and not the one on the unit. Hated the half shower wall. Homeless person begging in front of lobby. I will never go back there.
- Jan (8/5): Was mostly good after a not so good start. Received an apology upon fixing the unit, but no compensation for inconvenien - Checking in was perfect. Room was nice. But by sleep time, the air handler was not working. Upon calling the desk, was told there was nothing to do ‘til morning and no other room available. We lived with the situation. Next morning, spoke with very capable young gentleman at the desk. He was able to replace the thermostat, replace a bathroom light bulb, and silence the screeming bathroom door.
- Kelly (10/5): - This property was extremely clean and spacious.
- Phil (10/5): - Very professional and personable staff.
- Ryne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Constance (8/5): Waterworks - Nice room. The shower did not work so had to insist on being moved to another room.
- Markecia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): - Perfect. Only “eh” moment was the Friday morning traffic noise.
If you stay there, choose a room on back side of the property. Probably quieter.
- Morgan (10/5): Great stay - Our two night stay was too short. This location was great. We were very happy with our room. The breakfast was delicious and staff was inviting. Will definitely stay here again in the future!
- Kenya (10/5): - Loved this spot! Will stay in Marriott again.
- A3201PZdeborahh (10/5): Great! - My friends and I stayed in this hotel, February 7-9, 2025 to attend a sorority state cluster at the close by Convention Center.
We were greeted by Taraycho, who was so friendly, helpful during our stay. He started by getting us a cart, giving us directions to the center, allowing my friend to use his charges. When he wasn't there, the customer service declined.
However, along with Taraycho, the GM Ms. Greer was helpful in ensuring that our AC worked properly, but we still couldn't figure out how to stop it from blowing cold air! We just covered it with a blanket.... problem solved!
The weekend breakfast was delicious! My sisters and I enjoyed waking up to bacon, turkey sausage, eggs,(scrambled and boiled) oatmeal, juice, coffee ( which is available all day). Taiesha, the breakfast attendant, was so accommodating despite getting requests from every angle!
The hotel is close by to restaurants, bars, cookie shop, etc.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again, if you're looking for a quiet stay.
The room was small, but very nice, with a full size refrigerator and microwave. Walk in shower and ample amount of towels.
Thank you towns place Suites for a nice stay! Special kudos to Taraycho, Dianna Greer,ANF Taiesha!!
- LINDA (10/5): Amazing - My stay was amazing! The staff was very friendly and professional !
- danni (10/5): - Very convenient to visit the university
- Jo Ann (6/5): - I can say it had a kitchenette. There was a pull out couch but really not all that impressed. We only stayed overnight to tour the nearby college, luckily. I wouldn’t have been anted to stay another night. The walls are thin. Hope your neighbor doesn’t decide to slam every drawer at 4:00 in the morning. You’ll hear that. People walking above us sounded like elephants. Loud music. Breakfast was good though. A lot of options.
- Eric (10/5): - Easy check in
- Eric (9/5): Great place to stay! - The breakfast was good . The location was good for my visit to my wife's family. I should have got a larger room.
- william (10/5): - The check in lady was super
- Michael (10/5): - Can’t think of anything we didn’t like. Rooms were nice and clean. Staff very friendly respectful helpful. I couldn’t ask for more. My stay was great. I would definitely recommend and would stay again in the future.
- Bain (2/5): The staff double-charged our credit card - Convenience The room smelled like cigarette smoke
- Dorothy (6/5): - The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were adequate. There was a few hairs in the tub and a dirty tissue was in one of the ice buckets. The stove was dirty in one of the rooms and the refrigerator door had some sort of prints on the front. The breakfast buffet was not great. The taste of the items was not good.
- Avis (10/5): - We stay here every year for Mercer’s Homecoming and it never disappoints!
- Stuart (6/5): - Cheap but boring facility
- Holland (10/5): Would definitely stay again! - Breakfast was a hot breakfast. The room was very clean, walk in showers were great too. We were attending an event at the Macon Colliseum and it was only about 7 min from there. Actually everything was quite nice and we didn't have any issues. We would stay again.
- Shannon (10/5): - We enjoyed this stay very much. It was exactly what we wanted while staying to visit Mercer and attend the football game.
- Lakisha (10/5): - Overall, our stay was great. The pillow case had a yellow stain on it, so that was a bit disappointing. Everything else was good.
- Aisha (6/5): - Easy parking/convenient/breakfast
Requested to be in high floor as per my booking ahead of time but got room in first floor
They said that they were not aware of this request
- tysonb856 (8/5): Almost felt like home! - The hotel way over delivered! Check in was a breeze, the studio with 2 queen beds was super clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic! My first impression when I walked in was actually the smell—it smelled clean and inviting. Not that over cleaned chemical smell or the smell of carpet cleaner. It’s a small thing, but makes the world of difference after being on the road all day. From the moment we walked in until the time we checked out this has been the best hotel stay we’ve had in a very long time!!
- Megan (10/5): - Great place
- Becky (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): - Nice pit stop
- Ann (10/5): - Clean, convenient, and nice breakfast.
- Erica (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jennifer (2/5): - I wasn't able to stay because of Hurricane Helene and paid for a night i didn't use. It was too late to cancel the reservations.
- George (8/5): Very good - More food options could be good and knowing when and if the rooms would be serviced would help Not enough food
- Donny Tabitha (10/5): - Great place
- Donny Tabitha (10/5): - Very clean and very friendly staff
- Stephen (6/5): - Room had a dirty rag smell
- ISMAEL (10/5): - First time in Macon to support the Mercer football team. Cannot wait to go back and stay at this hotel again. Super nice front desk staff and clean room and hotel. Highly recommend!!
- Bodenhamer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikki (10/5): - Great spot next to Mercer and less than 10 minutes from downtown.
- Dana (10/5): - The room was nice and everyone was welcoming!
- Sandra (7/5): Good -
- Nicole (10/5): - The hotel is very clean and welcoming. Staff is very friendly and always greet you whether entering or leaving the premises. I will like to thank Barbara R. at Towne Place Suites Macon Georgia for her warm hospitality and going beyond the call of duty to ensure that I had a safe trustworthy driver from the hotel to the airport. It difficult at times being away from home with unfamiliar travel options and I'm grateful that I was in good hands after speaking to Barbara. Thank you Mam, (Guest 219😊)
- Melanie (9/5): Wonderful staff & Nice Facility - That it was just 3 mins from the university that my child has decided to attend. And that it was frequently visited by the local PD because we traveled with all of the things needed to move into a dorm. And that it’s just a walks distance from places to eat & grab coffee. Like they were literally next door. It’s right off the highway so be prepared to hear car horns & the loud of engine of some crappy 18 wheelers.
- Deanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacelyn (10/5): It was great. - Everything Nothing
- Jeffery (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, took long time for hot water in get in bathroom sink 4 th floor
- Sheila (10/5): Great STAY! - The staff was very interactive and kind. I misunderstood the extended stop time for breakfast so I never came down. I was offered a piece of fresh fruit and juice to accommodate my diabetes. Impressive and a definite ABOVE AND BEYOND moment. In exchange, my client, local R & B singer, serenade the lobby and received a rousing applause. GREATEST MEMORY EVER! I didn't know the room was handicapped prior to going upstairs. But it was still nice accommodations despite the low-to-floor beds.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room was vwey nice, large, and clean.
Staff very friendly.
- Lillian (8/5): Clean Modern Fresh - I loved everything about the hotel. I didn't like that the family above us had some out of control kids running from room to room... constantly continually. I reached out to the front desk... they said they would call them and I noticed that it stopped for about 5 minutes but started right back. We suffered with it because I felt that the children could have had special needs and the parents were doing all they could do to keep them calmed and entertained. I believe the front desk really tried to help and if I had asked to move rooms they would have accommodated us.
- Alan (9/5): Great location and experience. - Great breakfast!
- Laurie (8/5): A great overnight stay. Very clean, a great staff. We have stayed here several times and will again - All staff is extremely nice and helpful. My Marriott number did not get placed in the system for points.
- Vicki (10/5): - Would definitely stay there again!
- Hughes (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean and it had everything that you needed. Nothing, it was great.
- Lee (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (10/5): - Clean and Friendly
- Miriam (8/5): - Breakfast was mediocre. The rooms were clean and the staff members were all very professional and helpful.
- Iuliia (10/5): Exceptional - Love the room. Was very comfortable for family with kid.
Large enough, clean When AC working air flows kids of to the bed and it's so cold. When you lower down AC becomes hot... Aa block right under the windows and I believe that only the way it works...
- Cheryl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacqui (10/5): Exceptional - Fab location, not far from centre. Large room with everything you could want. Comfy bed and pillows, very clean. Staff very nice and friendly.
Good breakfast.
- Andrew (10/5): - A
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (4/5): Great location, will not be staying at this hotel ever again. But side note the staff were great, and the breakfast was - Great location First room had a bug issue, in fairness could have been ants??? Second room we were moved to was half the size and the bathroom and closet door wouldn’t close all the way.
- Gina (10/5): - Perfect for a rest in between two destinations. Kitchens are helpful.
