- Megan (8/5): - Overall, the stay was really good. The staff is friendly. The rooms are nice. We asked if we could switch rooms because our original room did not have a door to the bathroom. They switched us to a room that did have a door. We saw very positive reviews about the breakfast so we decided to do that but this was absolutely not worth it. We chose the more expensive option which supposedly included the basic breakfast items on top of the extra items but we never got the basic items. We eventually asked if we were getting anything else and we got a gross fruit cup. We got one cup of tea and they never asked if we wanted anything else to drink. I wouldn’t spend my money on this again.

- Cynthia (8/5): Security risk - The hotel was well located and the room was comfortable. Only problem was that the bedroom’s door was left open when I returned one afternoon. Luckily nothing was missing or stolen. But it did worry me that anyone could have entered my room.

The cleaning staff came everyday and left fresh towels. There was great shopping within a short walk as well. I would undoubtedly recommend!

Breakfast was charming though small (served at common table with high top seating). Common area is small. Room was fine - clean and well appointed. We were on top floor so water pressure in shower was not great. But the room was floor-through so windows on each side made it seem spacious. Would stay there again as good value for location.

There are some design flaws in the room that caused some minor incovenience (e.g. the sink was tilted such that the water wouldn't go down the drain, the knobs were circular making them difficult to turn if hands were soapy).

Despite asking for two single beds in my reservation that was not available on first day. The hotel agreed to change our room on the 2nd day- however we did stay in the same room - as the large bed was split into two single beds- cannot understand then why this was not possible on Day 1? The Air Conditioning is centrally controlled - rooms are warm. It would have been nice to have some tea and hot water in the room as well as coffee for guests who may not want coffee- I was charged $7 for a tea bag and hot water. Staff are reasonably friendly. Convenient location.

My first room had a balcony which was great but no closet and was very small with no room for luggage but then my second room on the next portion of the trip had a closet and was much more comfortable. The great plus of this hotel is the prime and convenient location.

- Danielle (10/5): - Upon arriving for my 4 night stay, I was greeted warmly by Sophie at reception. I had explained to Sophie how the taxi cab driver from the airport to the hotel was extremely rude. Sophie appeared sympathetic as she apologize, then stated how she had upgraded me to a room with a balcony. The hotel lobby was filled with an aromatic perfumed scent, which made me never want to leave. The Lobby was clean, with an intimate bohemian chic cozy feeling. My room was small, however quite lovely for one, as well as exceptionally clean. Perpetual Elysee Montaigne is located in a great area close to shopping, restaurants, and tourist attractions. I was able to walk from the Louvre back to the hotel within 25 minutes. However, very small in detail, and something I did not mention to reception. The shower door did not completely close shut, which created a small puddle of water on the floor located on the right side corner near the toilet. There's space for two hangers located in the bathroom for two shirts or dresses but nothing more. My stay was only 4 nights, however if longer, I would not have been able to hang more clothing. There's space in the room for folding clothes, again my stay was short. My first day there, I ordered tea, which promptly arrived within minutes of my request. (Very impressive). Great stay! When in Paris, I would definitely consider staying again at Perpetual Elysee Montaigne.

They should have told us not to leave or stay close once we checked in. This experience was not cool! In addition to I reserved one room and got another.

- ajjntj (8/5): Boutique hotel in a great location - I stayed for two nights over the Paris marathon weekend. The hotel is brilliantly situated close to the Champs Elysées and, importantly for me, within easy walking distance of the race start and finish lines. It was expensive, it didn't appear to be anywhere near full- an indication of the steep room rate, but upmarket hotels in that area come at a premium. The room was small, as expected, but comfortable. It had coffee making facilities but not tea which I'd have appreciated. Lots of nice toiletries and warm dressing gowns and towels were provided. There's a pleasant lounge / bar downstairs and they serve food which they advertise as seasonal and freshly prepared, though I didn't eat there. Staff were charming and helpful.

There are also a number of good restaurants close by. Our room was really small and the shower curtain was a bit moldy. But overall, I would probably stay here again.
- susan eve (2/5): All the nastiness of Paris in an elegant package - All the nastiness of Paris in an elegant package. From the first moment that we arrived, staff was rude and unhelpful. They had lost our reservation, kept us waiting for hours and treated us with an attitude bordering on hostility. The place itself is elegant if cramped, well located in the eighth on a quiet street. But the bathroom in our room didnt have doors and the toilet was visible from the bed. Even if you know each other pretty well this is a little excessive. But more than anything it was the attitude of stuff that was unpleasant.

The moldy shower curtain was never changed, despite us asking the Front desk numerous times. The room was also never cleaned before 6-7pm. The staff is excellent at apologizing, but not great at actually solving the problems. It's quite a shame, because it's in a good location, and the hotel is very pretty. Hopefully they can sort out these basic service issues soon.

The room was quite nice and then bed was comfy! Breakfast was great! Champ Elysses and Arc de triumph was minutes away and easily walkable. The best highlight of our stay was the bar. The bartender Luc made phenomenal drinks! We definetly will stay there again next time we are in Paris.

I upgraded our room to have a balcony, and I am glad that I did as the room was tiny and would hate to have thought how much smaller the cheaper rooms were. Shower curtain in the shower is just a no go in this day and age. Had to have it replaced as it had mould on the bottom of it, which the staff were more than happy to assist with. The shower itself is miniscule, with no room at all to move in it. Very disappointing that the room and bathroom were so tiny. If travelling by yourself it is a good hotel for size, but the stand out by far is the proximity of the hotel to the city centre.

One of the days there was a slight sewage smell in the room but I think this was a temporary problem in the building as I overheard another guest mentioned it. Overall a very nice hotel in Paris.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Best hotel in Paris- great location & lovely staff - I have been to Paris many times but this has to be the best hotel by far. So once you have booked your deal with eurostar its time to find a good hotel thats close to everything and this is it! The hotel is perfect for short get away. Its location is perfect 3 mins off the Champs-Élysées with cafes and restauranrs that are not Champs-Élysées prices where you'll see the locals eating and drinking. The hotel reception area is stunning, clean and staff always great you with a smile. All staff are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I stay in lots of 5 star hotels around the world and this is as good as any of them. Our room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The shower power is the only thing i could say needs to be slightly higher but thats the only thing kindof negative to comment on. The TV had CH4, More 4 etc. ( nice to watch an episode of fraser in the room before heading out for the day!) The breakfast was great too with a really relaxing atmosphere. The cocktails were unique and the outdoor seating area was well designed with a good atmosphere.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfort in the 8th - We booked this hotel for a stay in February after reading about the new, trendy style. I for one, love new(ish) boutique hotels and this fit what we needed. Extremely clean, well decorated and a fantastic staff. Location is great if what you want to do is near and around the 8th. But we also loved walking and spending time in the 5th, 7th and 3rd and this allowed us to make sure to get our steps in for the day. If you don't want to walk, the train is always accessible and easy. If you haven't stayed in Paris before, do not be shocked by the size of the room, because it definitely is small, but that is just Paris. I'd also suggest opting to pay more for the balcony. It was worth it.
