• Chris (9/5): Can highly recommend - This is a fantastic place to start your holiday after a long flight, or relax pre-flight to head home. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away as are the local bars and restaurants. This hotel is set in beautiful gardens with a 10m pool in the grounds. The pictures of the rooms and garden reflect the property genuinely, which is unusual in my experience Nothing springs to mind

Magdalin is very efficient with bookings, transfers etc. The son looked after us this year as Magdalin and hubby were away and he did a great job also. Our group enjoyed the pool as well. Plenty of excellent restaurants to suit all tastes within easy walking distance. Everything was great.

Magdalin is very efficient at organising rooms and airport transfers. Staff, rooms, location - love everything. Having a pool is also a bonus. No complaints.

• Cecilia (10/5): Lovely kind family owners, very well priced, great location and excellent facilities - We absolutely loved our stay here. The wonderful family who own the hotel were so very kind to us, and looked after us extremely well. The facilities were very comfortable and clean, and it was a real bonus having the pool to swim in. It was very well priced compared with other hotels we looked at. The location was excellent too, close to Negombo Beach, which was really nice. We would highly recommend the Holiday Fashion Inn. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

It was such a lovely place to stay .The owners were so kind to us .The rooms were a good size .We had the best breakfasts . The pool was a great way to cool down While we were there they arranged a trip for us to the lagoon and canals. Nothing was a problem for them.. • Antonia (10/5): Great little hotel in Negombo - The owners were so welcoming - we arrived a couple of hours early and they had our room ready, and offered to arrange airport transport (we didn't need it). Location is great, restaurants opposite and just a minute down the road, and the beach access is just 5 minutes or so away. The pool is small but nice, and the property has a lovely garden. We'll definitely come back here next time we come to Sri Lanka.. Everything was perfect.

The room had aircon, a fan, a fridge and hot water and the beds were comfortable. They cleaned the room whenever you asked. The pool ended up quite dirty towards the end of our week here and needed some repairs on a light. The pool area in general could have been cleaner but wasn’t so bad we couldn’t enjoy our time sitting there. I would go again.

I arrived about 7.30am from airport and they gave me breakfast and very early access to the room before 10.00 which was most welcome. I had a nice swim on the sandy beach. Fan control - either v slow or high speed, 'medium' would have been useful for sleeping. Possibly the wrong controller as it had about 5 settings. Not a very interesting area except for beach.

The hosts were really nice about it and let us use the garden and facilities while we got ourselves sorted. The bed was very comfortable! We also had use of a kitchenette which was not normally included but was much appreciated..As a stopover it was great, we didn't get to use the pool or garden but they were nice to look at!

• Susan (5/5): We could have done much better - The people who ran the place were really nice. The breakfast was good but the exact same everyday. There was a musty smell in the rooms and lots of mosquitos. A busload of people arrived on our second night and kept us up with the noise. The pool needed cleaning as well as all the tile around it. I couldn't put my clothes in the wardrobe because it smelled like something died in there. No one showed us how to work the shower fir hot water and most of the time there was no internet until we were given the other login.

• Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Holiday Fashion Inn is a beautiful place to stay. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. You definitely have to meet the amazing family who run this Inn as they are very friendly and helpful. From the time of my arrival they made me feel so welcome. It felt more like I was doing a homestay. The swimming pool is a bonus and is so nice surrounded by palm trees. I highly recommend you stay here. Thankyou so much for your help Everything was great.

• David (8/5): good place for a one-night stay before embarking on your Sri Lankan journey - The owner was super nice and allowed us to turn up at 11am because we had an early flight. She also organized a driver to pick us up at the airport and helped us figure out the train schedule for Puttalam. The swimming pool was great for relaxing. The kids loved it! And the garden is gorgeous. Nothing really. The beach is a bit dirty. Apart from one of the nearby restaurants which was expensive and not that good.

• Lim (8/5): For a night stay only - The hotel is located near the beach and just around the left-hand corner there is a simple eatery (Buhari Hotel = Eatery place) that sells noodles, rice, and roti that opens till late in the evening, that is if you want a simple local street food. From there onwards, the other eateries are all catered to tourists and even bottled water is 10-15% more than the standard price. We stumbled upon a jewelry store by the name of Sailian Jewels and bought a blue sapphire that happened to be 50% less than the wholesale stores in Kandy. The owner is nice and friendly that is easy to strike up a conversation. The store is beside Pinks (expensive for a simple breakfast). The hotel did not include breakfast, need to add on.

The accommodation was perfect for our family. The pool was very clean and inviting — our child especially loved spending time there and felt very comfortable. The hosts were extremely friendly and always helpful with any questions we had. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. There are also many good and varied dining options nearby, offering a wide range of local and international dishes. Another big plus: the accommodation organizes a convenient airport transfer, which made our arrival and departure stress-free. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others! Magdalin and her husband were very helpful and they were ever ready to help. She even phoned the massage place when they hadn't replied to my msg. Great for a short stay. They accept payment in cash We had difficulty with the mosquito netting over the bed as it didn't have a frame over which to be draped. So we ended up not using it. A very minor issue.

• Anastasiia (9/5): Beautifull hotel! - Everything was good! The room was clean, spacious and there was everything you need (hairdryer, kettle, shampoo and shower gel, bottled water and fridge). The hosts were very kind, polite and friendly. The well-kept lawn and swimming pool create the impression of a Greek hotel :) There are a lot of places to eat around. The beach is in 7 minutes by foot. Internet was not very good.

• Yael (8/5): Clean and good location in Negombo - Lovely stay in the middle of Negombo, super close to the beach (less than 5 minutes). Nice swimming pool to cool down. We didn’t have breakfast yet and the lady was super friendly to still make us some eggs.
