The room is clean and spacious for 2 of us. The hotel is very near to the beach and mosque, which is convenient for us to pray. Guest can have options of room, either facing the beach or city. Perhaps we can have a variety of local and international food during bfast, otherwise everything is excellent

Asciugamani e camera super puliti e ogni volta che si richiede puliscono la stanza. Acqua calda e condizionatore funzionanti. Materassi altissimi e doppio cuscino comodissimi, abbiamo dormito benissimo. Abbiamo anche usufruito dei loro tour e servizi come la cena in spiaggia romantica. La cena più buona di tutta la vacanza. Emozionante, in riva al mare, servizio ottimo con Sam e cibo buonissimo grazie a Sandali. Sono stati super efficienti con il servizio trasporto dal aeroporto. Nulla.

• 38mostafaz (2/5): Such a Terrible experience - -This hotel cannot be 4 stars by any means, its maximum 2 stars. -The rooms don't look like the pictures it's completely different which I found it misleading to customers. - We had mold on the walls and the bathroom shower and door handle were rusted. - There is a metal workshop down of the hotel and it's very noisy during the day so if you wish to take a nap during the day you wouldn't be able to sleep. - There is a coffee shop or restaurants which plays music during night time and when I spoke to them they mentioned it's legal to play music until 12AM in the morning. -The hotel is surrounded with construction sites which I found it very uncomfortable and the hotel windows is not sound proof at all. - Food options for breakfast is not a lot and I found it below average. -It took us the first day to fix our room as the TV wasn't working, there was no(iron, safe was not working, hair dryer, telephone) and there are no fridges in any rooms. You won't be charged Overall if you go this hotel with the expectations of 4 stars hotel it's not true and you will be shocked, and when I asked the manager to reduce my stay from 6 to 3 nights to reduce the loss he refused and asked me to pay cancellation fees.

Rimaz, the owner, was exceptionally welcoming, and helpful—personally guiding us and assisting in planning our excursions. The staff were equally courteous and accommodating, even taking us around Maafushi and ensuring we enjoyed a wonderful cycling experience around the island . The food was outstanding, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and offered a beautiful sea view. The staff also recommended some truly spectacular restaurants nearby. • 707noeliar (10/5): employees very nice and always available for us no matter what. - Incredible service, everyone was available for us, we even asked if they could print something and they did, we always felt attended, they offered us umbrellas, really nice terrace, rooms with ac and terrace! all the employees where really nice and some friends could speak very good english and they always tried their best to understand us! we had our flight at 8pm and they let us stay in our rooms till the end to shower and staff, and the check out is at 12pm. excellent service and attention! if i come back i would repeat just for the treat of the employees.

I arrived with nothing planned, and the staff were extremely helpful with sorting out everything for me - planning the excursions I wanted to do, following up with the excursion company. They were also very responsive before I arrived, as I had a few questions about airport transfers and arriving to the island. Pick up from the speedboat terminal was on time and very smooth. At the property, the rooms were in perfect condition. The owner of the hotel, Rimaz, was always happy to help with anything I needed, going above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay with them. Staff at the hotel - Shyam Inder, Rukshan and Niflal - were always more than happy to help, and were very accommodating. The location of the property is also great - just a 5 min walk from the tourist beach and from all the good restaurants. Overall, would definitely recommend staying here! :)

Cozy stay on the island :) - The staff was absolutly amazing, very kind and helpful , big thanks to Niflar and Anusha who were always so sweet to me :) also the room was quite big and clean , I had an amazing view with a nice balcony:) I liked the breakfast too ! The rooms were not sounproofed , but I could manage some nice sleep , so it is not a big deal.

After snorkelling I used oil they said you have to pay 60 dollars for the bed sheet it was so disgusting and disappointing a lot of mosquitos where there AC was not working cleaning was not done properly I would never recommend anyone to chose this hotel to spoil your luxury drip Service was so bad no complimentary coffee keep pursuing for water but nothing I got at last want me to pay extra 60 dollars which I paid

Our bed had no mattress so was very hard! The hotel is not on bikini beach so one has to pay other vendors to have a lounger and parasol on bikini beach. The beach towels were filthy. The manager was not the most engaged or even helpful. They charged us more than what a transfer actually costs in Maadushi without notifying us that it would be so. • FrauBakh (10/5): Wonderful comfy hotel - Stunning cozy hotel. Yes, a little bit old and needs some renovation but thanks to several points I find it's best place to stay. WiFi was ok btw. Enough for social media. The room is comfy with sea view and balcony. 25 sq m but spacious enough for 2 . Tea, coffee, water daily replenishment. Down stairs you may find little shop with water 10 rufies per 1.5 ltr. But the water quality is not good all over the island, I believe only branded water could be better 🤔 Quite place despite construction ongoing nearby. Great breakfast. For lunch and dinner decent choice from international and local cuisine. Imho pizza with chicken and mushrooms is better than with seafood. Also you may try Maldivian dinner, not spicy at all. Beach towels and masks are provided. I saw bicycles as well but didn't use them. Special thanks to Rimzan, Netmi and Anusha, Guisudin, Nifras for excellent service and making us happy. • Sook (6/5): Decent accommodation with jetty transfer - Close to beach and quieter at the other side of jetty. Provide jetty transfer to hotel. Decent breakfast. Loose toilet roll holder. Drinking water poured from big container instead of providing sealed water bottle. Beds are super hard. But manager is kind enough to add another layer of comforter on top after our feedback.

Bed was HARD - imagine sleeping on planks The images of the hotel in booking.com versus reality was totally different. Absolutely disappointing. Breakfast was mediocre. Rather pricey - we found better hotels for less. Will never book again.

Beautiful place outside of the hotel to drink something and just to relax. The staff there were very friendly. Also, they took us from port area to hotel with their transfer car and back when check-out. And arranged for us the boats transfer!!!

• SingaporeYoungCouple (10/5): Velana Hotel: Where Hospitality Feels Like Family - We didn’t stay at Velana Hotel, but ended up spending most of our time there as we booked all our 3-day excursions through them. The prices were very reasonable, similar to what other places offered, but what made the difference was the friendly staff and the humble, welcoming owner. I’m actually quite surprised to see some bad reviews about the Manager, Rimzan. From our experience, he was nothing like those harsh comments. He personally fetched us to and fro for each excursion, was super accommodating and funny, and even surprised my husband with a birthday cake on one of the evenings — such a thoughtful gesture! We blended in so well with the team and even got to know the other hotel guests as we joined the same excursion groups. We truly enjoyed the experience and are already planning our next trip back to Maafushi — and Velana will definitely be our choice for accommodation then!

• Naydean (9/5): Loved our stay at Velana - We celebrated my Hubby's 50th birthday at the Velana and Rimzan and team made it such a memorable time. They decorated the room and gave us a cake :) Our room was clean and comfortable and had all we needed. We had all meals included and the food was delicious and presented so well, 5 stars for the chef! The best grilled Tuna steak I have ever had. The staff are the heart of the hotel. A special thank you to Rimzan, Pinky, Nethmi and Sujir for the awesome friendly service we always received!
• Sarita (1/5): Why is it 4-star rated - I booked the room after seeing the 4-star ratings. But it's all fake. My room was 201 in the Valena Blue section of the resort, and it was stinking fungus!!! They said it's an air freshner. The room had no facilities at all - no room mirrors, no intercoms for room service, all the furniture was so worn off and cheap, no drinking water after 1 bottle per person for the day, no sufficient lighting, no windows. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was connected with light, so we had to sleep with that light on. They give just one room key. There is no info for the beach towel. The towels were low quality and small in length. PLUS, no hand towels or any other kind of spare piece of cloth to spread on the bed so they can charge you 20 usd if you spill anything on bed. No dental kits at all even after requesting one. The breakfast buffet also had pathetic food with too much salt in daal and pasta. Baked potatoes were raw and had no taste. Tea/coffee was also not good. There is so much more. I regret booking my room with them. PS: Unfortunately, I didn't feel like clicking pictures of the room. Usually, I film all my hotel rooms if they are beautiful!

Room was a bit dated, and mattress a bit firm for our liking, but value for money.

• Jacqueline (10/5): We made the perfect choice with this great little hotel - It’s a lovely hotel The room was very spacious and clean with a good variety on the TV. I had a balcony just above street level and it was great to sit on and just watch the world go by. The stuff there are tremendous I got really helped when I didn’t feel so well with so much care and attention. I was lost for words. The staff are very helpful, but very discreet when they’re serving they really know how to do their jobs well All was excellent
