Dr Susanna H (5/5): Dissapointing - The hotel location is excellent for athletes participating in the Two Oceans Ultra marathan and the half marathon. We arrived after our check in time of 2 pm and had to wait an additional 30 minutes before our room was ready. Dinner available was ONLY the buffet/eat all you like. No athlete eats a buffet the night before an Ultra marathon but there was no alternative dinner available. We had to return to our room and order room service.

Jayne (8/5): Great location for southern suburbs - Great location for southern suburbs. The hotel is being refurbished so the room we stayed in, and the lobby and cafe, have all been updated and are in excellent condition. Due to the refurbishments there was a lot of building noise during the day.

Lynn (8/5): Most of the time my stay(s) have been pleasant. - Convenient location I have stayed here on a good number of visits last year and twice so far in March & April. Most of the time all is good, however my visit end of March was met with my bathroom, namely the toilet being used by someone other than myself & not flushed…. Disgusting, unhygienic & not acceptable … this was raised on the day but did not hear back from the Manager, who I was told would chat to me.

Staff exceptional kind and supportive, friendly and warm hearted. We were running the Two Ocean Marathon with the location of the hotel directly opposite the starting point…. Meaning a couple of more minutes to lay in before 17’000 athletes start the run.

Carlos (10/5): Superb stay - Everything was excellent and the cherry on top was the hero welcome they gave every Two Oceans marathon participant after their race and how they went the extra mile before the race too by serving breakfast and coffee in the early hours before the race.

A great location for the Two - The property was amazing, all staff were so friendly and helpful. Great location for the Two Oceans. Room and beds were super comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel really looked after and accommodated all the runners and their families so well We had an incredible stay here and enjoyed it, if I had to find one fault, it was that it had no pool but I would definitely stay here again. I have been to other Southern Sun hotel groups it is usually great . The restaurant staff still needs proper training for customer service.

CANDICE (1/5): - My mother and I contracted severe food poisoning from the hotel. My mother is elderly and was at the verge of admission. I reached out to concierge to ask if they had equipment to assess vitals. The answer was simply 'No we don't keep such things" There was no care or concern shown in spite of my mother needing a wheelchair to be taken to her room. We have stayed at this hotel many times before but it was definitely the last. The hotel is old and run down and cleanliness leaves much to be desired.

Athena (9/5): Easy recommendation - I only had 1 night stay with a late arrival and early checkout, but it was great. Pearl at reception was warm and welcoming, such a pleasure to deal with. The bedroom was really nice. Very comfortable bed, great linen. Shower is over the bath which isn't a problem for me but if it's a power shower you are looking for, this is pretty decent but not that. Facilities in the room were good with lf milk rather than those ridiculous little capsules of pretend milk. I would certainly stay there again. Nothing in particular.
