• Regina (7/5): Ruhrige Unterkunft in einem quirlen Viertel - Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig. 100 Meter zur Underground Aldgate Est. Interessanter urbaner Stadtteil. Sehr hilfsbereites und sehr freundliches Team. Das Apartment war sehr abgewohnt. Wir haben ein anderes erhalten. Auch das war in die Jahre gekommen. Die Küche ist nur mit wenigen Utensilien ausgestattet. Ständig war einer der beiden Fahrstühle außer Betrieb.

• djxforce (2/5): Room stank of chemicals - Have stayed here before and found the experience very enjoyable. Good sized rooms and close to where I work in the square mile. This time it was nothing short of awful though. First room I had stank to high heaven of either cleaning chemicals or perfume that had been sprayed throughout the room to the point where it was hard to breathe. I put the air con on hoping to circulate the air as no windows could be opened but when I returned after dinner the smell was even worse so I changed rooms which was a bit of a hassle at 11pm but got it done. The second room was a disabled room and the wet room/toilet had been tiled as such so that the drain for the wet room didn't work properly which flooded the entire bathroom as they hadn't put the required fall in properly for the drain to work. You could tell the room had been flooded into the bedroom before as the floorboards were beginning to bow albeit I did avoid getting the bedroom wet by using all the towels across the whole bathroom floor but it was still unpleasant to say the least. To be greeted by a shrug of shoulders from the reception on check out was pretty disappointing to say the least as I was expecting some form of credit on my account but nothing at all was offered which seemed very poor on their part. Unlikely to be back unless Locke can make this good.

• Nicolas (4/5): Too overpriced for the poor noise insulation and loud staff from very early in the morning. - Nice layout, good location. Furnished with taste. Fully equipped kitchen. One lift was out of order. Difficult for a busy, 22 story building to rely only on one. Very noise from 8 am. Staff dropped a bag full of glass bottles outside my door, waking me up at 8am. The whole point of paying this price point was to ensure a good sleep. I did not get that. The bed was uncomfortable, really hard mattress.

• Yee (8/5): Great value for money and met expectations - We loved how spacious our one-bedroom suite was! It came fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave—essentially everything you could possibly need for a comfortable short-term stay We found the walls to be paper-thin; we could hear noises from the hallway and even our own toilet from the living room quite clearly. This, combined with a loud humming in the pipes whenever the hot water was running, made for a disruptive stay. Housekeeping was essentially non-existent, as we had to collect our own fresh towels and linens from reception. Additionally, basic essentials like toiletries, kitchen towels, and tissues were not provided. Finally, keep in mind that Aldgate East station has no lifts, which makes the short walk quite difficult if you are carrying heavy luggage.
• Andrea (6/5): Bello, comodo ma non penso che ritornerei al prezzo speso. - Edificio nuovo, ottima posizione Mi hanno dato una camera non corrispondente a ciò che era scritto su Booking e il loro sito: ho preso un monolocale SKY LEVEL e c’era scritto “dal piano 19 in su”, mi hanno dato una stanza al piano 14 dicendo che gli Sky level sono dal 13 in su e sono cambiate le politiche aziendali. Quando ho chiesto di essere spostato mi hanno detto di sì ma solo il giorno dopo facendo un check-out e riportando tutti i bagagli in reception, senza poter vedere la camera nuova. Quindi la possibilità di una stanza più in alto mi è stata data ma è stata resa complessa e abbiamo deciso di lasciar perdere. In più la camera aveva odori dalla doccia/bagno molto sgradevoli e il lavandino perdeva acqua allagando mezzo bagno. Cose che per il prezzo che si va a spendere non dovrebbero succedere.
• ALEXANDER (5/5): This is my third stay at a Locke property - each time it seems to be getting worse. - The location was convenient. It wasn't obvious at first because it was on a busy street, but once you get your bearings you realize there's lots to see - including Spitalfields being very closeby which was a bonus. (a) The Kitchen - I booked an apartment hotel specifically because I like to have a kitchen for convenience and some basic food preparation. But the kitchen lacked very basic amenities. There's no basic coffee maker, the cooking implements didn't really make sense, it's like the implements probably made sense at one point, but over time, things started to go missing and degraded and they never replaced it. (b) The Elevator, they only had one elevator while the other was broken for the 8 days I was there; some people who had stayed longer were also grumbling that it had also been broken for the week prior to that. I guess this resulted in long wait times to get a ride.

The only thing that I’d say is that housekeeping should be a bit more careful with avoiding slamming doors during cleaning. • Wylene (8/5): - De ruimte van de kamer en het uitzicht waren geweldig!. Ik was blij verrast met de vaatwasser en wasmachine op de kamer en ook de badkamer was er ruim en praktisch met een baddoekenverwarmer. Het bed sliep heerlijk en er was genoeg opbergruimte. De Locke Cafetaria wat ook gebruikt wordt als workplace heeft een fijne vibe. Ontbijt was prima. Drankjes wel erg duur, voor de hoeveelheid die je krijgt. De roze bank, zag er niet heel schoon uit. Ik heb uiteindelijk om lakens gevraagd om over de bank heen te plaatsen. De wifi is erg traag en er werkte maar 1 lift, waardoor we steeds erg lang moesten wachten. Het gebouw heeft ruim 22 verdiepingen en wij verbleven op de 18e.

• ziaga77 (6/5): Overrated! - The hotel has good location however room facilities were horrible. The bathroom is completely non-functional! The sink is so small it's unusable. The shower has no protection against flooding the entire bathroom – the drain is completely inefficient! Everything floods every time you shower! A third person's sleeping space is a complete blunder. Putting a small portable bed in the shared bedroom doesn't provide any comfort – on the other hand, the ridiculous sofa in the kitchen, which could be used as a sleeping space, is non-functional. Poor ventilation and foul odors in the rooms. The only working elevator for the entire building is absolutely inefficient – ​​the journey takes forever! Wouldn't stay there another time.
• Inka (7/5): Great location, average stay - The sky level studio was spacious, the location very good in Shoreditch close to very nice coffee shops, restaurants, shopping and the tube. The bed was pretty comfy. Nice to have a fridge and a good amount of space for your stuff. It was not clean, there was mold in the shower, a smell of sewage and the glasses and cutlery were not washed. The water in the shower didn’t drain fully so all your showers started in a cold puddle. Stains in the pink sofa. Only one elevator was operating which led to long waiting times, and apparently it had been like this for weeks. The breakfast package is a good deal in terms of money, the food options average.

I really enjoyed the view (and it was my first time in London!), and my son loved having space to crawl around, thank you so much!!! Rahil at reception was extremely helpful - many thanks to him for contributing to such a great experience. The breakfast was wonderful, and the staff were absolutely lovely throughout. • Fabio (8/5): Sicuramente soggiorno positivo al netto delle problematiche rilevate - posizione centrale, vicino a tre fermate metro e a stazione treni (Liverpool street, Aldgade e aldgate east). Struttura nuova. Appartamento grande e comodo e ben arredato con tutti i servizi necessari. Il cambio degli asciugamani era a richiesta ma il personale è stato sempre disponibile. Purtroppo nel periodo di vacanza uno dei due ascensori per ben tre giorni consecutivi non ha funzionato perché rotto. Il terzo letto era piu che altro una brandina e anche abbastanza scomodo per un adulto, davvero un peccato.

• 832meritxellr (6/5): Finally we had a room - we had a reservation for one night at the Bermonds Locke, Tower Bridge. On April 26th, the day of our arrival, we received a WhatsApp message informing us that our room was unavailable due to bathroom maintenance. There were no other rooms available. This forced us to go to the hotel to request a solution. Ultimately, they provided us with another room at the Leman Locke. The problem was that, due to the London Marathon, it took us over an hour to go from the Bermonds Locke to the Leman Locke, wasting a significant amount of time. We were unable to visit the places we had planned. It would have been better if they had redirected us to the Leman Locke from the beginning, without having to go through the Bermonds. Otherwise, our stay at the Leman Locke was perfect.
• mayal2016 (4/5): Disappointing return visit - never again - My partner and I have stayed at both Leman Locke & Buckle Street studios many times which is why I didn’t hesitate to recommend it to my friend when planning our girls trip. Unfortunately this time is was very different. When we walked into the hotel we were met with a SEA of suitcases surrounding the reception and lobby area which I found extremely insecure. We were met with no other choice but to leave ours in the pile. We asked if we could use the bathroom to freshen up and was directed to a toilet on the first floor which was nothing short of a dark dungeon with a huge queue, no mirror and filthy. One of the staff members actually allowed us to use the staff toilet it was so bad. Next when we checked in there was no hair dryer, no tea coffee, the room was sweltering hot, hallway was super noisy and the shower gel pots were empty. So it’s safe to say we had a terrible nights sleep. The next morning we headed down to breakfast which was an absolute DISASTER and the worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. The staff at the till that day on 29th March around 10:30/11am were so extremely rude. We were thrown our drinks and food, no table service despite breakfast being spread over 2 floors. Food was abysmal - coffee was weak and terrible. The lift wasn’t working either the entire duration so you’d have to wait 10 minutes to get to your room. The stairs wasn’t an option for me as I had a sprained knee. I’ve tried writing a complaint to the hotel - had no response. I’ve messaged them on Instagram - had no response. Customer service is horrific, hotel chain seems to be all about Instagram vs the reality of offering someone a comfortable stay for £250+ a night. I’ve just cancelled my stay within their new hotel in Copenhagen and will never return again. There is 1 million other hotels in London - do yourself a favour and find another one!

Pas mal d'endroits pour déjeuner et manger aux alentours. Le personnel d'accueil est agréable. Le matériel de cuisine est minimaliste mais permet de manger à deux .

• Lisa (8/5): Would have given a 10 if there was a coffee machine. - The room was really nice, I was on the 11th floor so had a good view. The location was convenient for Liverpool St as I had arrived by the Stansted express. It was a comfortable bed and I didn't hear noise from other rooms, just doors closing occasionally. No coffee machine! I found this shocking for a 4 star apartment. The check in staff explained there was a coffee shop, but this is no use first thing in the morning, when you want a coffee in your pjs watching the news. Moreover people working don't necessarily have time to go to a coffee shop. This would put me off booking again unfortunately :(
• rebeccafB6432UZ (2/5): Cancel your reservation if you’re booked here. - This is a terrible place to stay. The rooms are filthy. We had to change rooms after the first night because our bathroom had a terrible sewage smell. Neither room had been cleaned prior to us coming in. One out of two lifts was broken when we arrived and the second broke on day 2. The one upside is that the location is convenient enough as it’s right off a few major Tube lines. Not worth it, though. I cannot emphasize enough that you should stay ANYWHERE ELSE but here.
• melanieg770 (4/5): Disappointing - I have stayed a number of times in Locke hotels and always found them to be clean and comfortable. However my experience at Leman wasn’t great. The reception staff aren’t hugely welcoming. I was staying in a twin room with my friend there was only one set of towels in the bathroom and the refreshments had been replenished. Last time i stayed there was water in the fridge and fresh milk. The most disappointing thing was when i went to have a bath there was this insane build up of dirt between the the shower screen and wall. It looked like something was rotting away. I mentioned this at reception when i went down to collect the towels but zero resolution was offered and no apology or mention of it again throughout the stay. Needless to say i didn’t have a bath. The overall standards of Locke have dropped considerably since my first stay a few years back. Kind of sad as the location is great and the beds are comfortable. I won’t be returning.

• Dr. Csaba (10/5): Ein ungewöhnlich gutes Angebot im Centrum von London - Für London ungewöhnlich groß, eigentlich ein Appartement mit Küchenzeile inkl. Kühlschrank. Die ganze Wohnung ist klimatisiert. Wir haben zwei Einzelbetten zusammengeschoben gehabt - perfekt, groß genug, bequem. 15 Minuten zu Fuß zum Tower Bridge bzw. zum Tower. 2 Minuten zur U-Bahn Aldgate East - District Line direkt ins City. Das Frühstück war ausreichend. Das Personal war nett, zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit. Wir waren am 9. Stock von 21. Es gibt nur 2 Aufzüge, einer davon war hin und wurde innerhalb von 5 Tagen nicht repariert. Die Wartezeiten für den Aufzug waren teilweise entsprechend lang.

We didn’t get in till late and could not deal with arguing and move to another room but we will seriously have to think of we will be back. Raised concerns when we left and was not really listened too.

• Anita (8/5): Für kurzen Städtetrip ein alles in allem guter Ausgangspunkt - Sehr gute Lage, wenige Schritte zur U-Bahn, kleiner Supermarkt direkt nebenan, etliche Restaurants. Frühstück war bei uns inbegriffen, man wählt im Café ein Heißgetränk, entweder Apfelsaft oder O-Saft, ein süßes Teilchen und ein herzhaftes Frühstück, das sehr gut war. Wir bekamen erst ein nicht geputztes Zimmer, es wurde aber sofort reagiert und entschuldigt. Küche: Etwas mehr Besteck wäre schön. Sauberkeit insgesamt okay, aber beispielsweise das Sofa etwas sehr abgenutzt und mitunter staubig.

• jodator (8/5): A really nice stay in London - Nice and comfortable room. Close to Aldgate tube and Liverpool train station. I would pick it next time in London. Many good places around with the breakfast options. The elevator had annoying setting that tools you from your floor on the way up, so you end up riding all the way up the down if you're unlucky.

• simarco1 (10/5): Nice hotel for a city trip with friends - We chose Leman Locke for a long weekend trip and had a great time. Its central location made it the perfect home away from home, our room was very nice and cosy, and had everything we needed. Last but definitely not least, Nadia and Fayaz at the reception were both very kind and welcoming and made sure our trip was memorable. We’ll definitely stay here again in the future!

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The lift is bit too slow especially when only one of two working. The heating and air conditioning system seems a bit confused me , well I might just not be good at it. Couldn’t work out how to set up or switch off during nighttime, as a result, a bit noisy for me to go to sleep. Generally speaking the cleaning s good, may some smaller areas which the cleaners missed, e. g, the shelves in both room looks like no touched by the cleaning staff , especially the bottom one of the shelves. I definitely would like to stay there again if I visit that areas in the future. Thanks

• Jakob (10/5): Perfect stay in a lovely London area - We really liked and enjoyed the hotel and the room was just like in the pictures. Be aware - there is no salt, peper or oil for cooking in the apartment, also no coffee maker. We supplied ourselves and were able to use the kitchen properly. We also used the gym which was very well equipped and always empty which was nice. The area of the hotel is great - so many cafes and shops around and right next to Brick Lane and the tube. Would definitely stay there again.

• briannz22026 (6/5): Make sure the lifts are working before you book - Great location to stay, well located to the tube system, but make sure the elevators are working! My room was a one bedroom suite withe a very helpful kitchen with modern fridge freezer and full cooking facilities, Dishwasher and laundry washer/dryer which allowed me to cook my own breakfasts before heading out. Bathroom was spacious although under supplied with towelling but extras were available from reception. No face washer cloths - staff told me management refuse to supply them. No tissues in the bathroom. Room was clean. Bedding was great. Elevators in the building are a major issue. One of the two was out all 8 days of my stay leading to a line of people waiting for the only one working and frustrating waits at any given time. One morning both elevators were out - not great when you're on the 14th floor.
