Everything’s very clean in the apartment, and everything you need is provided - including cooking. The apartment is big enough for a whole family, with a lovely balcony and a spatial living room Nothing, everything’s perfect!

We have been using CityStay in Cambridge since 2021 and have always loved the accommodations Washing machine was faulty at the apartment we were in this time Meade 24 and wouldn’t complete the wash cycle. We were also not given the fob to the parking so were stuck for about an hour!

Entrance shutter to car park was not working when we arrived so no fob required, then it was fixed without staff knowing and we couldn't get into car parking when we got back at 11pm, fortunately found free on road parking for overnight and fob delivered early next morning. Bed mattress and pillows uncomfortable

• Mike (2/5): The property is not maintained well. Disappointing - Location and parking The apartment was in a block where there was a horrendous smell. It was rank. We can only guess that a takeaway, like a curry, had been spilled in the corridor outside the apartment. The smell permeated everywhere. No one seems to care for the common area. The shower in the main bathroom was not working. The lock to the balcony door was broken. Crockery, knives and forks were dirty. Really disappointing.

Near several small grocery stores , bakery/coffee shop , bus stops and the train station. Clean. Safe area. The door to the apartment was hard to open. We had a hard time using the clothes dryer . No charm.

• Johanna (9/5): Convenient location for the station - A fresh, clean, modern, comfortable apartment. Nice and warm, good shower, good kitchen and cooking facilities. Easy to get in touch with host. The location is good. Quiet, still close to amenities. The station is a 2 minute walk, also within 2 minutes you will find Tesco, Coop, a couple of cafés, pubs and foodtrucks. The University area is a 20 min walk, though. The Internet signal was very weak, quite often the TV wouldn't work because of that and we had to stand in the hall when we wanted to check something on our phones. The beds are quite hard.

Wij lopen graag dus 20 minuten naar de stad lopen was geen probleem. Het was veel te warm bij binnenkomst. De verwarming uitzetten kostte even wat moeite.
• Katharine (6/5): Sufficient for a short stay - This was a large and spacious property conveniently located near the train station. It was generally well-kitted out, with two rooms and two bathrooms. It was generally good for our needs— we were out and about most of the time we were in Cambridge. There were four things that let the property down. First of all, the main living area stank of stale cigarette smoke. We stayed in the summer, so we left the windows open to air it out, but it was really pervasive. The lobby/entry way to the building also stank of rubbish, like a bag had exploded and hadn’t been properly cleaned up. There was a big, broken desk and chair in the living area— not sure why that wasn’t removed. Finally, we used the washing machine and our clothes were not very clean and also COVERED in white lint— had to rewash them all when we got home.

No hot water the whole time we were there, had to leave 1 day earlier than booked due to our small kids. No refund or compensation provided to us. This incident impacted the entire trip. Citystay Living should have offered to rebook us into a different unit/property as soon as I reported the issue as they knew it was a grid wide issue which will take time to resolve. Poor handling of the matter. Bed in the Master bedroom was too thin and springy.

• Melinda (9/5): Another great stay in Cambridge, perfect location, parking very close by, will use Citystay again - Good size apartment for 1 or 2 people, all expected amenities were provided. Good location close to the station, parking was available in the underground parking directly beneath the apartment block. Slight issue with the parking on the second night which was dealt with efficiently by company in an alternative place close to the block There were plenty of small shops and eating places nearby within very easy walking distance The bed was a little hard for me, but loved the apartment generally with a small balcony with a bistro table and chairs, the apartment was on the corner of the building so there were views to 2 sides. The only issue was the noise from outside the apartment but was not within the control of the company and it had died down before 11pm. There was a fire alarm which was on for over an hour in the apartment block on the other side of the road but shutting the windows reduced the noise considerably

I hardly slept throughout the night as it was very noisy outside and given the hot weather recently, closing the windows is not really an option. I know this is not within the owners control, but I didn't expect it to be so loud outside and people partying all throughout midnight.

It was a last minute booking and they could not have been more helpful. The staff were brilliant. It was very hot but we could cool down by opening the windows
• Jonathan (8/5): A good reasonably affordable place to kip down for a night or so in Cambridge if you want privacy and space and are ok w - A nice, reasonably affordable, spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms and separate washrooms. Having the option of secure parking was a positive, even though there was a cost to it. Unfortunately the apartment was starting to feel a bit tired with quite low end fit and finish in need of some upgrading. The beds were ok, but not the most comfortable, whereas the place was generally clean and there were some items for a quick breakfast snack. The light and big windows in the living room were appreciated, as was the fact it is within walking distance of decent amenities. The arrival process went well and the person who met us was welcoming and helpful.

Great location with a short walk from the train and bus station My one recommendation is for there to be spare towels when guests are staying several days. I understand that there is no housekeeping and didn't expect any, but a fresh towel after a few days would have been nice

• Ves-marissa (9/5): Superb - Attention to detail. The fact that they had thought of stocking the kitchen with a few items made the arrival so much more comfortable and convenient. Location was perfect for us as it was next to the train and bus station with an easy walk into town. Staff met us on arrival. Very friendly. Explained "everything", responsive when I reached out during the stay. It was very convenient to have a washer - dryer since we stayed for several days. The only thing I wish they'd have, was a USP charging capability. We'd forgotten our adapter and had to find a store so we could charge our phones. It was a bit on the warm side,. This can also be a positive, of course, and we were able to get the living room adjusted. But I found the bedroom a bit too warm at night.

The apartment was so close to the railway station but still quiet and it was so spacious and clean - I was really impressed. I believe there was a car parking spot included in my stay but I forgot to book it and so I couldn't park at the apartment but this was still ok as I paid for parking at the railway station which was reasonable.

Friends came by and helped me out with that

• Yevgeny (8/5): Generally quite and very nice apartment - The location is very quite and close to train station, and generally conviniet to get everywhere. Nice new apartment When we arrived the person who met us didnt have the parking key, so we parked outside and needed to find latet parking lot until we get the key a day after. On our last day the parking gate broke and we couldnt drive out of the parking for 2.5 hours. No cleaning service, neither nobody changed our towels for 8 days. Washing machine had a lot of problems and didnt work ok. Coffee machine didnt work at all. The light at the kitchen is very low
• Thanacoody (8/5): Nice and room for improvement - Great, location and beautiful clean comfortable rooms with all the necessary equipment to cook. The company provided some basic food for the first day and that was great and very helpful. The staff was there to greet and help us with our luggage as the lift was out of order. Thank you to the team for this stay and keeping the flat clean. The lift did not work and we had to carry all the suitcases upstairs. On the final day the lift still did not work and no one came to help us to bring the suitcases down. Need better maintenance of the lift. Daily cleaning of the flat would be great.

Apartment was clean, very well equipped with a generous ‘welcome pack’ of milk, bread, butter, jam, orange juice, bottled water, tea, coffee, biscuits. A lovely surprise. Mattresses were very soft with squeaky springs!

Two sets of keys were provided, which was very convenient, along with adapters for charging phones. The staff was punctual for the meeting. Unfortunately, the sofa bed was disappointing. It's not comfortable. Aside from that, the apartment has no flaws!

The only thing that I don’t like, most of the bed’s matrix are not comfortable. I stayed more than 3 flats in Millpark in last 6 mounths.But the beds are really uncomfartable.

Kitchen is well equipped , beds are comfortable and the shower in the en-suite is amazing. Was nice to have a balcony to sit out on. The property had an annoying extractor fan, which on the first night kept us all awake until we found the switch to turn it off. Which was in a cupboard not in the bathrooms. The walk into town is more like a mile and a half. Not a 20min walk. Also the window ledge behind the sink was dirty, dust and dead spiders and flies

Nice little balcony, useful with good weather which was the case. Very good sized bedrooms. Ensuite shower was excellent. Would recommend. Couldn't get the shower in the bathroom to work at all.

• Borrrorrro (10/5): Perhaps the best choice for families visiting Cambridge by train. - Having included juice, milk, bottled water, a sandwich loaf, and some small snacks was a great idea, making arrival more joyful for kids. Also top-class wifi was, which was a matter of survival for teenage girl, made our stay more pleasant. Random ringing on the doorbell by strangers was a bit disruptive. But it's hardly something that might be solved easily. What I didn't like in fact, was that we couldn't stay longer.

• Carolyn (6/5): Good location but apartment needs a good clean and an instruction manual! - Great location close to station & bus stops but quite noisy with people gathering in common garden areas & racing cars at night. Welcome pack was good. Dishwasher tablets etc provided. Good toiletries. Secure carpark good - just shame it is an extra charge. The worst part was being disturbed by maintenance and electricity company because they wanted to install a smart meter! This should have been arranged when the apartment was empty not when guests were booked in! We were told that they were coming back to do it regardless, so we then had to phone Citystay and request that they came another time. This was very stressful because we were trying to organise a funeral following a sudden family death and did not want the added complication of workmen in the apartment and the loss of internet when were were trying to contact family members and make arrangements. No handbook in apartment with instruction manuals etc - this is surely a basic welcome requirement? Shower in main bathroom didn't work and we had to call Citystay, maintenance man came and showed us how to make it work and he said that he had told Citystay countless times that they should provide instructions - it really was not obvious that you had to take the handheld hose and push it into another part of the main shower head! Internet access code written down incorrectly so we had to call Citystay to get the correct one. TV not set up correctly so guests cannot access own streaming accounts. Guest should not have to start configuring Smarthubs & TV's? If you are hoping to cook forget it, the pans provided are not induction compatible so do not work on the hob....one frying pan worked and that was it. Horrible smell in public areas of rotting refuse, and carpets in common areas are absolutely filthy. Bed in main room in Apartment 31 has a completely worn out mattress, springs are gone and it is very uncomfortable to sleep on. Shower in main room was dirty and has dreadful mould - both bathrooms would benefit from a good clean. Scum around bath in main bathroom. I felt like I needed to clean the bathroom before use.
