- bernadette (10/5): - Lovely rooms friendly staff and locals Nothing
- james (10/5): Perfect for me! - Friendly staff, comfy bed and lovely room. Dinner was excellent.
Great value for money N/A
- William (8/5): Staff very friendly and helpful nice breakfast would stay again. - Quiet location very friendly staff. Quite a lot of stairs and room very noisy floor boards.
- graham (7/5): Wifi issues - Great size. Nice and quiet. Bonus kitchen seperate entrance Wifi. There was none. It was a big issue for me as I couldn't get any work done
- Richard (9/5): - Attractive village location A slight criticism, the electrics could be checked and updated in the room.
- Pratt (8/5): -
- Neill (8/5): Overall very good. - Been before, very good In the bedroom, the window could not be opened, was needing repaired. As a result the room was very stuffy & did not sleep well !
- Kane (4/5): Wouldn’t stay again, would eat there again though - Restaurant had great meals
Very friendly staff Bar downstairs very loud
Breakfast quite poor
Bed not comfortable at all
- Hazel (10/5): Great value and comfort - Comfort, cleanliness, friendliness
- Shayne (1/5): -

- Paul (7/5): A nice traditional hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff. Good value. - Traditional breakfast was great. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The attached beer garden looked lovely. Very minor point, there was nowhere to hang towels after use.
- chris (8/5): -
- Julie (10/5): - The staff were so friendly and professional. Couldn't have asked for better. Cosy and warm. Met some lovely people too. Thankyou The only small thing I didn't like was that hotel slayers couldn't sit in the main bar due to locals from a previous pub which closed down took the seats.
- Agnew (6/5): - Time breakfast was served....
- Stephen (9/5): Lovely hotel, with very kind and helpful staff. Excellent - Lovely people and very cosy hotel. Not the biggest room or most comfortable bed, but still pretty comfortable. Maybe a few hooks to hang towels from and a few more plug socket’s would be helpful.. overall though, we had a great stay, 2 lovely breakfasts and we were well looked after and comfortable. Absolutely recommend! Nothing other than some very minor points.
- Calum (7/5): - Really good room no. 5, overlooking the garden, good size desk for computer work, nice bathroom and shower.
Good bar and evening meals. WiFi poor. No breakfast until 9am, then only continental.
- Mark (10/5): - All Had to leave
- david (9/5): -
- pablo maure (10/5): - El tamaño de la habitación, el bar y el restaurante
- Nathan (8/5): -
- Susan (10/5): Continental Kemnay - We booked the room with the four poster bed..big room..comfy bed and a bath with shower.
Loved the decor of the room.
Clean and tidy no issues. We happened to be there over the May holiday weekend (sunday/monday) and were looking forward to getting a cooked breakfast but were told they only did continental!
Shocked considering its a hotel and there was nowhere else nearby for breakfast especially because of the holidays. You dont expect to be in a hotel in Scotland and they're only offering continental breakfast. We're not on the continent...🤣😂
- Stuart (8/5): - Family run hotel, lovely staff. Very good pub food. Comfortable beds.3rd time staying here. Guiness a little bit too cold.
- Nikoleta (10/5): Lovely little lodge with a character - Lots of character it has its own grounds. staff was very friendly and helpful. as we were travelling for a wedding, we appreciated availability of an ironand ironing board. Plenty of parking available. GF bread milk alternative available. The walls between our room and next door must be quite thin as I could hear snoring from there and from my partner 😉😁 …a little hiccups in the breakfast service
- Anna (9/5): -
- Jane (8/5): Pleasant hotel in great location - Friendly staff, lovely garden and a comfy bed. Well located near the bus stop and local amenities. A couple of maintainance issues in the bedroom, light above the basin didn't work and the bedroom windiow did not open 'awaiting repair', but overall a pleasant stay.
- Aileen (10/5): Lovely hotel with competent and pleasant staff, and a restaurant that serves good food. - Very nice hotel in spacious surroundings in a quiet residential area. Attractive and comfortable, well appointed room with everything that we could need. The bathroom was also spacious with an efficient shower that didn't require a tutorial beforehand in order to be able to use it. The restaurant was very nice, and the menu was varied with many options to choose from, so much so that our choice was difficult. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Only one very trivial , minor comment - and one common to most hotels, in our experience. The absence of a hook on the bathroom door.

- Gordon (7/5): - Location was excellent for our needs. Excellent shower with plenty of hot water. Radiators in shower room and main bedroom did their job well. Unfortunately this being a building of some years, the floorboards in room one are extremely noisy when walked on. The room above has the same problem leading to an early awakening at six am. The carpet and rug in room one need a good deep clean.
- Giuseppe (10/5): - Location Clean
- Giuseppe (10/5): -
- Sissel (10/5): -
- James (9/5): - The food was excellent. Not much.
- Michelle (9/5): Welcoming staff, very clean and food was good. - Well maintained. Good sized carpark. Our room was exceptionally clean. Old building so to be expected, very creaky floorboards. Didn't bother us but were mindful of other residents as we were moving about early hours.
- Calum (7/5): Good size room with large table for working on, large bathroom with good shower, lots of hot water. - Ideal for travelling around the area. Continental breakfast only during the week starting at 9am.

- John (10/5): Truly truly fantastic stay - The location & the staff was amazing & the food was fantastic I couldn’t fault our stay in this lovely hotel & the area
- Heather (8/5): -
- Jane (8/5): Excellent value and fabulous location for a chilled out weekend. - It was a very generously sized room, warm and with a beautiful view of the garden.
The building dates from the 1750’s! Beautifully restored and maintained .
Excellent parking and a very good restaurant. Soundproofing was poor but the other guests were settled
A hair dryer and a box of tissues would be a welcome addition.

- Robert (9/5): Great comfortable stay. Spacious room and lovely and warm - Staff very friendly and evening meal superb.
- Mark (9/5): Very happy - Last minute booking because Expedia canceled our other booking without telling us. So we had to scramble to get another booking and we found this place. The place was awesome and the staff were great and the restaurant was delicious. Nothing
- Stewart (10/5): -
- Tamara (8/5): Friendly staff, great value, lovely old building. - The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were comfy and adequate. Some areas of the hotel were cold.
- Laza (9/5): -
- Halia (10/5): Will be back! -
- Clare (10/5): Perfect stay in a lovely Hotel - best of all was the welcome, kindness & thoughtfulness! Thank You!⭐ - It was a wonderful stay there - when I arrived (late!) i was welcomed by a member of the Team (Jack) who could not have been kinder or more helpful. The following day, i was assisted by Dawn, who was 'outstanding' in her customer care - Dawn is a great ambassador for Bennachie Lodge (Jack likewise!) Nothing - everything was 1st class
- Penny (8/5): Comfortable Old Hotel - We had a large well presented room with two comfortable beds. The bathroom was compact but the shower was excellent 👍
Evening meals and a Continental breakfast were available.
Perfect for our one night stay! N / A
- Scott (10/5): - I only got the chance to stay one night, but the room was very comfortable. For me, there was nothing to dislike.
- John (8/5): -
- John (10/5): Great Place! - Great place to stay, staff are amazing and the food in the restaurant is A1!
- John (10/5): Ace! - I always stay here when I’m working local.
- John (10/5): Highly recommended - Highly recommend!
- irene (8/5): - Our room was lovely.
Dogs welcome but limited to certain areas.
Food delicious. The TV WAS tiny and couldn't watch it from the bed!
Also (as is the norm)would have appreciated a little biscuit with my tea at bedtime .
- Clarke (9/5): - Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Food is absolutely superb and it's in a lovely location.
- Sharon (9/5): Comfortable and enjoyable. - The staff were very friendly. The room was excellent, big, clean and comfortable. Facilities dropped from excellent purely because of a noisey fan in the bathroom.
- Hazel (9/5): The rooms were warm, well- appointed and great value. - Nice warm rooms, good beds, friendly staff, pleasant location
- Dannii (8/5): Was a brilliant holiday. Room was very clean. - I liked the location, was literally minutes from everything i wanted to do. The food was good. Being on the top floor i didnt hear any noise from the bar area, not sure if others would. The garden area/parking was clean and well maintained. Loved that there was loada of tea and coffee, not just 1 or 2 sachets. Needs a better lunch time menu. Carpet in room could do with replacing.
- Tania (9/5): Stayed 4 nights staff were super friendly. Food was excellent and a lovey bar with friendly locals. - Very nice I had a studio and it was spacious clean and cosy Nothing
- Monika (10/5): -
- alien (10/5): - Great value and comfy bed..food was excellent in bar but only continental breakfast available through the week !!
- John (10/5): -

Plus the food in the restaurant is wow!
- John (10/5): I’ve stay many times now and will continue to keep coming back! - Food was amazing
- Paul (9/5): - Perfect location for us Nothing
- Shona (10/5): -
- philip (9/5): -
- David (7/5): Good value for money. - Location, food and price. Kettle and hair drier PAT testing several years out of date. Room could have been warmer.
- Irina (9/5): Good value for the price, spacious room, everything that’s needed is there - Very good value for the price. We had a spacious room with sofa.
Room looked exactly like on the picture. Nice and clean. The entrance and hall smell strongly of the restaurant kitchen.
- Simon (10/5): -
- John (9/5): -
- Frans Bedford-Visser (8/5): Largely met my expectations. I loved the family and dog friendly bar, and the staff were amazing. - The location suited me perfectly. it is a remote country village, and the hotel seems to be at the heart of it. I liked it a lot. During the week they only serve a continental breakfast, which meant I had to go elsewhere for my preferred breakfast.
- Fiona (10/5): -
- Heather (9/5): Pleasant stay and I would return. - The food was delicious. Very friendly staff. Lovely surroundings and quiet area. It’s not something that could have been better, but it’s not a huge hotel so don’t expect loads of space.
- JOHN (9/5): Peaceful location, clean and comfortable. Will book on future trips -
- Francis (8/5): Great location - Nice little cheap hotel.... great location
- Puvan (9/5): - Everything
- Diyan (10/5): Nice, comfortable and relaxing stay. - Very friendly and helpfull staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We stayed in Deluxe king's room and it was spatious, clean and comfortable. Room was well heated, despite weather outside. The outside area was great. Plenty of on site parking Nothing comes in mind
- Sissel (10/5): -
- Keith (10/5): - Looked after us very well . Had a great night for my brothers birthday. All 👍 👍
- Stephanie (9/5): Pleasant and would recommend - Location, friendly & accommodating staff (unaware at the time of booking but it was dog friendly too!) The stairs were a nightmare a lift (stairlift) would have helped but it was a last minute booking so The service we received was wonderful
- Líba S. (8/5): - Dobrá dostupnost, vstřícnost personálu, velmi dobrá dostupnost autobusové zastávky. Bohužel snídaně až od 9 hodin.
- shona (10/5): - Great location, comfortable bed and lovely food. Nothing
- Jonathan (9/5): -
- Paul (1/5): Memorable for all the wrong reasons. - The location was as expected, nice and quiet. When checking in the receptionist/staff member gave the impression she didn’t want to be there.
She told us at 3pm dinner would be served between 5pm and 745pm but couldn’t reserve a table!
When we went down at 7pm we were told by another member of staff that the kitchen was closed and the chef had gone home so we would have to find something somewhere else to eat and was of no help at all! Terrible service from what is supposed to be a 3-star hotel.
We should have been told but forgotten about was what we were told which was of no use at all!
The staff member said he had contacted owner but there has never been any reply at all.
After speaking to other guests it turns out that this isn’t a one off.
The room smelt of toilet drains but was comfortable and warm.
Heavy snow while we were there and no attempt was made to help customers enter or leave the car parking.
- Valentin Mihaylov (8/5): - Very nice and quiet Everything was okay except a bagging noise coming from downstairs at night form the bar every 5 min Everything else was find.
- Robert (8/5): Staff were friendly and helpful, met our expectations fully - Room was
Clean and comfortable, en-suite also clean strong shower good quality
Towels On arrival room was cold and took time to warm but once into heated again very comfortable.
- adrian (6/5): reasonably ok - only offered continental breakfast so no good to us, staff were very friendly.

- Victor (9/5): - No trouble with check-in, staff were very welcoming. The room was very spacious and clean. Room was a bit chilly to start with but reservation was at short notice.
- Emma (7/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful
Food in restaurant was very tasty
Free large car park
Quiet location
- Sean (10/5): - The Benachie Lodge is the best place to stay.
Very comfortable, friendly staff.
You can get the bus just around the corner.
We will definitely be back. Couldn't fault it in anyway.
- Karen (10/5): Always good value and great staff - Location
- Margaret (7/5): All was worth the money, we would go back again. - N/A should include breakfast.
