Nilu (9/5): Elegantes, sehr großes Zimmer in malerischem Innenhof - Sehr schöne und ruhige Lage in einem wunderbaren Innenhof. Man konnten das Auto in den Innenhof stellen, was für uns ideal war, da wir ziemlich viel im Auto hatten. Leider konnten wir nachts kein Fenster öffnen, da wir im Erdgeschoss waren und es nur Türen zu dem Apartment gab, keine Fenster. Da die Zimmer sehr groß waren, war dies allerdings kein so großes Problem.

Luca was especially helpful and friendly in assisting us with arrangements for our car in the hotel's courtyard as well as in providing recommendations on Padova's many historical sights and squares. The palazzo is extremely convenient for a visit to the Scrovegni Chapel, which was our primary objective. Very good communications via WhatsApp about specific arrangements as we got closer to our stay. Nothing.

Daniel (9/5): A great location for a visit to Padova - Breakfast was delicious, modest but everything was well prepared. They offer fresh cooked eggs in addition to a buffet spread. The staff was very responsive. The cleaning staff was friendly and helpful; the receptionist, while only present in limited hours spoke excellent English and assisted with getting taxis and making sure we understood how to exit the property very early on the day of our departure. There was a small garden open during the day The room lighting could be better. The curtains and drapes were difficult to open and close.

There was a comfortable sitting area. We didn't have the breakfast. There was no hair conditioner here which was a shame and the bathroom was a little dark.

In der ehemaligen Scuderia sind luxuriöse Appartements mit allem Komfort entstanden. Wohnen wie ein Fürst. Sehr geschmackvolle und noble Ausstattung, voll eingerichtete Küche, sehr schöne Stilmöbel, echte Ölgemälde an den Wänden. Modernes stilvolles Bad, sehr sauber. Hilfsbereites und freundliches Personal und eine nette Schlossherrin. Sehr großer Innenhof mit einer beeindruckenden Herkulesstatue, bequeme Parkplätze gegen Gebühr. Ein großzügiger Park steht den Gästen tagsüber ebenfalls zur Nutzung zur Verfügung. Die Zufahrt zum Palazzo befindet sich in einer Fußgängerzone, die zu bestimmten Zeiten mit einem Poller abgesperrt ist. Man ist auf die Hilfe der Vermieter durch elektronisches Öffnen angewiesen, um rein zu kommen. Ansonsten problemloses Öffnen per Code und Schlüssel und Torbarren. Padua glich leider z. Zt. unseres Aufenthaltes einer großen Baustelle. Man wird häufig umgeleitet, manchmal auch fehlgeleitet.

The hotel is very well-located close to Padova’s many historical sites yet quiet and peaceful. It is also conveniently close to the Venice airport. A large interesting garden and an important sculpture on the grounds. I felt like renaissance nobility. The staff was super-helpful with restaurants, taxis, and general questions. Everything in Padova is exactly a 14-min walk from Palazzo Mantua Benavides. I would stay here again anytime. A lovely 4 days!

Un vrai palais italien caché et privé Nous avons eu une suite de 200 m2, sur la cour centrale majestueuse devant une statue de Hercule Accueil, gentillesse, discrétion du personnel, suite incroyable avec un énorme lit de 2m50, énorme chambre, grand salon Bouteille de vin offerte Parking dans la cour Tout cela pour 220 €, du jamais vu ! Charlotte (10/5): - We enjoyed our space with two rooms right near the Scrovegni Chapel. It was also close to several restaurants that we enjoyed. But one thing for which I will always be grateful is that on the day of our departure, when the taxi did not arrive to take us the the train station as scheduled, the manager woke up and arrived to check on its arrival. There is no doubt that without her intervention, we would have missed our flight. I highly recommend Palazzo Mantua Benavides.

D6065TPlauram (2/5): AWFUL EXPERIENCE - BEWARE! My son booked two suites on Booking.Com. Realizing that he specified only one adult per suite, I immediately called to verify that we would be five adults and two children with three adults in one suite and the two adults and small children in the other. The person on the phone said: “we will make it work.” We went to check in and was told by the attendant that the desk clerk was late for our 3:30 check in time and we had to wait for 30 minutes until she appeared. She showed us to the rooms and then came back minutes later to explain that because of “security reasons” the two children could not stay in the same room with the parents. We explained that the 4 year old would sleep on the couch bed and that the 2 year old would sleep in the King bed with her parents. She went away and came back moments later to tell us that we would need to pay 422 Euros additional because my son had booked for one adult in each suite. i explained that I telephoned immediately to clarify the number of people and was reassured that it would be fine with no mention of additional costs. This arguing went on for two hours! I missed the tour we had booked while trying to sort this out with both of the people at the Palazzo and with the owner on the phone. We were told that if we didn’t accept the “conditions” -meaning an additional 422 Euros, we would have to leave and they would help us find another hotel, but they would not refund that original amount of $595 that my son had prepaid to Booking.com. Finally, my son called Booking.com who were absolutely no help. Then he looked on the Booking.com site to ascertain what the actual additional costs for the total number of persons would be at this particular hotel and it was determined that total to be about 120 Euros. We paid that amount but felt as if we were being fleeced. I would NOT recommend this hotel - they were consistently rude, unwelcoming. These people shouldn’t be in the hospitality business.

Ann-marie (10/5): Absolutely amazing! - The size of the property was huge, the history of the building, the style, Hercules, ground floor and the staff were exceptional!! Breakfast was delicious. The gardens were beautiful. Change of towels and cleaning daily. Very quiet and peaceful and we could easily walk everywhere. The Scrovegni chapel was a 3 minute walk! Wonderful AC as it was hot outside. I’m being picky here but an iron would have been useful though they offered to press and wash our clothes so it wasn’t an issue.

Just the place to settle down while visiting elegant Padova! - What fun to stay on a palazzo around the corner to the Scrovegni Chapel with a statue of Hercules! Our rooms were commodious and comfortable. The gardens are lovely. Nothing.
Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional - We had a nice suite opening into the the courtyard. We enjoyed setting there and in the garden. The hotel was a short walk from the train station and right in the central part of the city near the sites. Peaceful night of sleep on a comfortable bed.
Felipe (10/5): - It's actually a palace, with huge rooms. Very impressed. Rooms are clean and comfortable. It's walkable 10m from the train station and the city centre. Next door to the main attraction in padua.

Toby (10/5): Beautiful and luxurious - Beautiful spacious suite with incredibly comfortable bed. Location is fantastic literally around the corner from Scrovegni chapel. Car parking area as well which is a premium in central Padua. We loved it.

Raphaella (10/5): - I only stayed here for one night so didn't get to fully enjoy this lovely accommodation. I'd definitely recommend here, especially if you're staying a few nights. The staff were very kind and helpful, they also looked after my bags so I could explore Padua without my luggage the following day. The room is a perfect mix of old and new. While it still looks aesthetically old, the facilities feel like they're recently renovated. I was amazed at how quiet my room was. Having come from Vicenza (the quietest town I visited) I was surprised to say that this was the quietest night I had on my travels! The location is very close to the station and only a few minutes from the Scrovegni Chapel.

Richard (10/5): - Elegant and spacious suite that was warm and welcoming in damp and chilly January. The Palazzo is ideally situated for the museums, and for the centre of the city - everything is within walking distance. The staff were helpful with arrangements and it was easy to access the building out of hours. Giotto's frescoes are just next door, and there is a great selection of restaurants nearby. We particularly enjoyed UVA. The centre of Venice is only 30 mins away by train, so would be a great base for visiting. All in all, we had a great holiday in lovely surroundings!

Carmen (10/5): - Hotel staff very helpful in giving directions on how to find them (they sent emails and texts). Hotel is in a pedestrian zone so you need to let hotel know when close by (call them) so they can lower a bollard so you can drive into the short street. A staff member came onto the street to show us where to turn into the hotel because hotel name not well-marked. Room felt like being in an Italian villa. Well-appointed and close to old town. Had to pay extra to park in their courtyard but this is totally worth the expense because is convenient and car was secure. Breakfast basic but OK. Best part was the warmth and hospitality of the staff - made you feel like family.
Patsy (10/5): - This property is lovely and quiet. We stayed 2 nights in late October. The room was extremely large and comfortable. We found the property just a bit difficult to find because it is located in a very small plaza and set back under a covered entrada behind very large, wooden and glass doors. A quick phone call and someone greeted us promptly. But its the location that makes it special. The one and only suggestion for improvement would be a full length mirror in the room. 5 stars. Padova is a beautiful town. If you enjoy shopping this town is good for very nice clothing. Small independent shops as well as the usual big names.

Carl (10/5): - Unique and authentic 16th century palace built by Marco Mantua Benavides, a prominent legal scholar, polymath, and art patron at Padua University. Huge 9-ft statue of Hercules by Ammannati (nonetheless!) dominates the courtyard. Private garden provides a rare retreat .Royal size (1000-1500 ft2 ) rooms beautifully and tastefully appointed and decorated. Fantastic location. Helpful & knowledgeable staff. In summary, a true gem and great value for the price charged!

Marina (10/5): - This hotel is out of this world. It’s a 16th century castle, renovated with exquisite style. It’s like living in the museum, with its own park, right next to main attraction which is Giotto’s masterpiece. The owners and their staff are beyond amazing and helpful. This hotel is making me to want to come back to Padua.

I asked for a taxi, the guy who checked me in told me he was gonna book it for me, and he forgot. all good, can't complain - maybe more presence at the reception

mgasman (10/5): Beautiful, quiet palace suite you will love! - I've traveled all over the world, and stayed in many beautiful places. This is one of the prettiest and just peaceful and charming. The suite was gorgeous, huge, and quiet. The bed was so good that I found out the name of the mattress and bought it when I got home. The staff at the Palace are wonderful. Kind, helpful, and accommodating. They also speak English in case your Italian is rough. The location could not be better. There are great restaurants all around, a cafe right outside the door -- we got to know the owner. There's a gorgeous and relaxing garden that is all yours. We loved the Hercules statue in the courtyard too. You can walk to anywhere from here and the price is excellent.

When we entered through the gate in the entryway, we were transported into an oasis of beauty and elegance, including a 500 year-old statue of Hercules and a private park. The room was huge, with a vaulted ceiling and comfy beds. We loved everything about it.
