- Nikki (7/5): Cheap, not to be repeated. - Location & the room was clean. The kitchen wasnt clean, however I dont think that is the staffs fault. The room was clean, but does not look like the picture. The facilities were like the kitchen.
- Jens aus Gelnhausen (9/5): Wer eine lockere und ungezwungene Unterkunft sucht, ist hier genau richtig. - Ein eher alternatives Backpacker-Hostel mit einer sehr entspannten und internationalen Atmosphäre. Besonders der Garten und die Außenbereiche laden dazu ein, zur Ruhe zu kommen und mit anderen Reisenden ins Gespräch zu kommen. Die Unterkunft ist einfach gehalten, hat aber ihren ganz eigenen Charme. Positiv aufgefallen ist die bunte Mischung der Gäste – neben Backpackern sind hier auch Arbeiter oder Monteure untergebracht, was für eine besonders vielfältige und authentische Atmosphäre sorgt. Die Lage eignet sich gut als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in den Abel-Tasman-Nationalpark. Absolutely nothing that detracted from our overall experience – we would happily stay again.

- Bruno (4/5): - A very cheap hostel for two nights. The showers were warm. It has a very nice cafe close by where you can have brunch The room was quite warm and small. The bed mattress felt like a sponge, and I got some back pain. The fan in the room was quite noisy, so we didn't use it. The bathroom was a bit smelly and not very clean

The sheets weren't clean - there was fresh blood droplets on a pillow case. The shared bathrooms are cleaned daily but by the evening they are filthy (I know this happens in hostels) but not pleasant. The rooms are very loud and you can hear everything in the room beside you.

Also inexplicable amount of noise until late at night (midnight) and then again around 5:30am. Seemed to be quite a few permanent "guests" living in cabins

Missing bedroom door handle, lights that didn't work in the bathrooms or passages. Squeaky bathroom doors that you can hear from your bedroom. Beds not made up. Pillows paper thin that I had to fold in half to sleep on. Just because it's labeled as a backpacker, doesn't mean it doesn't have to be decent.

- Austen (10/5): - A really nice backpackers hostel. The rooms were well put together and warm during the winter. Lots of space in the kitchen and lounge and bathrooms are being renovated. Staff were really helpful and hospitable - I'd stay here again, for sure. One of the most comfortable places I have stayed on my trip through NZ.
