- Judith (10/5): - Ein absolut traumhaftes Hotel in spektakulärer Lage mit atemberaubenden Sonnenuntergängen, die jeden Abend unvergesslich machen. Unser Zimmer war außergewöhnlich groß, stilvoll eingerichtet und makellos sauber – man hat sich vom ersten Moment an rundum wohlgefühlt. Das gesamte Team war herzlich und aufmerksam. Die Poolbar ist einfach fantastisch und lädt dazu ein, die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Auch das Restaurant ist ein echtes Highlight mit unglaublich leckerem Essen auf höchstem Niveau. Erholung pur auf ganzer Linie! Der Abschied fiel uns wirklich schwer.

- Martin (8/5): Wunderbare Lage mit toller Aussicht - Super schöne und bequeme Unterkunft an top Lage - die Aussicht ist atemberaubend. Das Essen war sehr gut und das Personal zum Teil sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zwei bis drei Mitarbeiter im Restaurant waren sehr unfreundlich und mürrisch - etwas das wir auf unserer dreimonatigen Zentralamerikareise sonst nie erlebt haben. Da es sich über drei Tage nicht verändert hat muss das deren normales Verhalten sein und ist für die Kategorie Hotel absolut inakzeptabel. Sehr schade vor allem deshalb, weil die anderen Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und aufmerksam sind.

Auch die Sicht vom Restaurant auf den Pazifik und den Sonnenuntergang waren einmalig. Das Essen war lecker und schön präsentiert, der Service freundlich und speditiv. Nichts.

- Tanguy (10/5): - L'emplacement d' l'hôtel et la vue depuis les chambres ou les piscines, tout a été orienté pour profiter pleinement des lieux. Le personnel est aux petits soins et très à l'écoute. Sans doute notre meileurs logement au Costa Rica. Rien le séjour était excellent.
- Steve (10/5): IMO, this little place is a gem and shouldn't be missed, if for no other reason, to meet Luis! - The highlight of my staff was the staff. Luis, the manager, was the epitome of Pura Vida! He and his staff were so accommodating and understanding about my desire to change rooms. Found me a cabin that was perfect and assisted in my move. I initially stayed in the Glamping Unit. It was very comfortable and the view was amazing. The issue that caused me to change rooms was that in order to use the air conditioning, the window coverings had to stay closed which meant no view at all. I know they are considering adding clear inserts in the pull down window coverings which would make this an amazing unit to stay in. My second unit was a beachfront cabin w/porch. Small, but perfect for my needs. The beach is amazing, as are the sunsets. Food was fresh, well prepared and delicious.
- Tricia (10/5): Absolute Paradise - The most incredible room I have ever stayed in. I am not exaggerating. The view and the rainforest sounds. The people that work there are incredibly friendly and helpful. The nature reserve. The pool. The breakfast. It was seriously the best! Loved it all
- Louise (10/5): Fairytale. - The location was the biggest surprise. Then the way it was built up and arranged. We are literally in the jungle with a direct view on the ocean. The room was spacious, clean, stunning balcony with a mind blowing view. If you wake up early enough, monkeys, iguanas, birds come around to eat by the window. At night, raccoons are out with the frogs! The staff was extremely present and always here to help or manage your needs. Special wink to Javier at the front reception who taught us so much about the local life and wildlife. Dinner finishes early. The snack menu is fantastic but they usually restrict the access starting from 5pm.

- Helena (9/5): - Die Lage und das Anwesen sind zauberhaft. Das Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit.Aufjedenfalll ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Aufgrund des hohen Preises finde ich das Frühstückskonzept nicht so ideal. Das Frühstück schmeckt zwar sehr lecker aber ist sehr eingeschränkt, aufgrund der Tatsache, dass nur für ein Gericht von der Karte inkludiert ist. Es reicht zwar aus, aber die Auswahl begrenzt. Ein Cappuccino für 7$ finde ich preislich zu hoch.

Some great walks though the nature reserve areas which you can do yourself seeing a lot of wildlife but must be reasonably fit for the steep climb back upp For a premium property like this, would really have expected TV in rooms. The restaurant is very average in the food quality.
- Nathan (9/5): Worth the pools and the views! - The views from many different areas of the hotel including restaurant, pools and rooms were AMAZING! On one hand, the location for views and sunsets are worth it, but the rocky and hill road leading into property was very unpleasant especially after a drink and food down on the main town of Nosara. The food was pretty good, the room size was wonderful and the views of the ocean and jungle. Lots of wonderful animals around the property too. Literally the road leading into the hotel up the hill was really the only thing I can fault.

- Harry (9/5): Lovely boutique hotel with great views. - Beautiful boutique hotel in a wonderful location. The views from the restaurant and pools are amazing. Worth paying for one of the superior rooms for the views and extra patio space. Worth doing the the walks in the ecological area - a bit of a walk down and up but well marked and plenty of wildlife to see. The e boat tour on the river, is well worth taking. Why do these premium hotels insist on only having one chair and one bag stand in each room. The lighting in the rooms is poor A TV, while not essential, would be nice to have.

- Wolfgang (10/5): Top Hotel in top Lage - Außergewöhnliches Hotel in Top Lage. Super Aussicht, insbesondere bei den Pools und auf der Terrasse. Wunderbarer Sonnenuntergang. Perfekt eingerichtete Zimmer und Ausstattung, absolut top Personal, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Jede Menge Aktivitäten in der näheren Umgebung. Jeden Nachmittag turnte ein Coati in den Ästen direkt vor unserem Balkon herum. Abendessen und Frühstück auch spitze, aber hat natürlich alles seinen Preis. Die Weinpreise sind definitiv übertrieben.

So friendly and helpful. The pools were clean and perfect temperature, and the views were outstanding. So neat being right next to the nature preserve! The pillows and bedding were fine, but didn’t match the quality of everything else.

- Sara (10/5): - This property is worth the drive. Stunning property with superior hospitality. Had a wonderful deep tissue massage. Room was large, beautiful, comfortable, with lovely shower. Only thing that made me crazy was the light emitted from the ac unit. I like a very dark room to sleep and lots of light emitted from items in the room. Otherwise, perfect stay! Infinity pool was beyond gorgeous. I stayed there all day as it’s not chlorinated. Simply beautiful people and property!
- Alan (10/5): - The room was spacious and comfortable. We liked the bathroom and the balcony, too. The views from our balcony and even more from the restaurant are spectacular. The greatest negative is access: there is really no good way to get there without traversing some really terrible roads, and when the road improves you have to turn off onto an access road that is around 1.5 km long and as badly rutted as any of them. Fortunately, the restaurant is rather good, because there is no way we would have ventured on that road after dark.

- Charissa (10/5): - We stayed only one night at Lagarta Lodge to kick off our vacation in Nosara and I didn’t want to leave! The property is absolutely stunning with a very special view from high up looking out to the ocean, that other hotels in the area don’t have available to them. We did a biological reserve tour and a couples massage and they both were highlights of our entire trip. The food was also our top favorite meals. The staff is so attentive and kind, and easy to get in contact with instantly via WhatsApp. We really did feel like VIP. Would 1000% stay again and recommend anyone else to at least spend a couple of nights at Lagarta Lodge while in Nosara.

- Francis (10/5): Will absolutely be back to Lagarta! - This was an absolute fantastic place to stay in Nosara! Very accessible to the local beaches and restaurants. And a huge plus having the Reserva Biológica Nosara steps away from the hotel. The Rerserva had amazing trails and beautiful flora/fauna. In addition to all of this, they have 3 pools of varying temperatures including a heated jacuzzi. Best of all was the staff! Super friendly and accommodating. The Lagarta Lodge gets a 10/10!! Looking forward to visiting again. p.s. Howler monkeys hang out near the balconies! Very cool :)

Food is delicious with an extraordinary assortment of delicious dishes served with the highest of professionalism. You can arrange several activities and tours with the best selection of things to visitor so around, the local guide from the hotel is amazing. The Spa is marvelous, Maria can make your vacation even better working on deep tissue massage. Reception deserve the million dollar price, Erein the front desk supervisor and his team are simply amazing!! Every single detail is covered in this piece of heaven, surrendered by the jungle and the best Pacific views you can dream. Definitely, the best hotel we never been so far. Can wait to come back!

The rooms were beautifully clean and spacious, fantastic bathroom and a large balcony overlooking the forest. The staff were the key to it all, being so kind and helpful and permanently friendly in a very genuine way. The avocado on toast for breakfast was lovely and you could happily order extras as well and they offered you unlimited drinks too. We did too trips with the guide Victor who was really knowledgable, friendly and very enthusiastic. I couldn’t fault anything during our 4 days stay. Nothing

Perfect breakfast, very nice and clean room (we had the Deluxe Room), with an impressing balcony including sea view, so friendly personnel, great pools and a huge selection of many activities. This place leaves nothing to be desired. Our future hotels will be struggle about keeping up with this one ;-) Maybe a shuttle service after 4 pm for evening beach visits. But otherwise is nothing to improve.

We loved the views from the restaurants and pools, and especially from our room (gorgeous vistas over the jungle and monkeys swinging in a tree just off our balcony.) Our room was beautiful and so comfortable and well appointed. Staff is amazing. We enjoyed the beach below the hotel, the jungle walk, the yoga studio and the bird walk. We also drove to area beaches and restaurants- but were always happy to return to our oasis on the hilltop! I would return in a heartbeat.

- Heidi (10/5): Great hotel - We had an amazing stay at Lagarta Lodge.It is really a five star boutique hotel. The location is perfect next to a wildlife preserve and the views are gorgeous of the ocean and the preserve. Everyone on staff is so friendly and very attentive. They are what makes it a great hotel. The room and terrace were quite large and had a beautiful view. There are two lovely Infiniti pools and the main restaurant and rooftop sunset bar and restaurant were open air with great servers. We also visited the spa for a deep tissue couples massage and it was one of the best ever. We will definitely visit again!!
