• Annie (10/5): A beautiful Machiya house in a very convenient location. - Great location- about 10 mins from Kyoto Station (West Side). The house was clean, traditional, but still with modern comforts. A cute little garden to look at and it was very convenient to have a kitchen and washing machine. We wish the dryer could have been a bit quicker, but that could just be the standard here.

• Rohan (9/5): An excellent Japanese-style house stay for groups! - This is a beautiful Japanese-style house that is comfortable and reasonably close to Kyoto station. Multiple rooms with multiple common areas make this a perfect place for groups. We had a group of 5 and had plenty of space. The bathroom is incredibly clean and well designed. The concierge is highly responsive and even helped us call local restaurants for reservations.

• Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - We cannot fault our stay at Rinn Kujofujinoki West. Loved the traditional feel, the tatami flooring, futon beds, and the courtyard garden. Easy walk to Kyoto station for day trips, and Aeon mall. This beautiful kyomachiya honestly felt like home away from home for us and we were very sad to leave.

• Katie (8/5): Very good - Getting the taxi from the office was not a problem. This little Machiya suited our family of five very well. The street was nice and quiet but it was still close enough to the station and nearby shopping centre. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. It was cold in the kitchen and the bathroom as there was no air-conditioning here. Large open space (high ceiling) meant that heating from living area was not sufficient.

• Nova (9/5): Amazing and convenient place - The size of the townhouse is perfect for a group of 2 - 4 paxs of people. Located at the residence area around Kyoto Station, it's just a 10 mins walk from Central/Hachijo West exit. It is quite convenient to go to tourist attractions from here as there are multiple bus stops within walking distance (5 min) with direct buses. Toji Temple is also located right behind the area. The house has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Though we have to visit the main office for check-in, checking out of the place is very simple. The staff is wonderful and helpful in my inquiries and didn't get angry when I kept changing the number of paxs (due to an emergency injury on my side). The neighbours in the area are very polite and quiet. It is a beautiful place to experience the hustle of Japanese life in a residential area. There are chances of mosquitoes and insects that may enter the house. Hence, it is wise not to leave the garden door open for too long.
• Daisy (9/5): Very impressive, highlight of our stay in Kyoto. - The location is perfect and we are extremely excited to lodge in such a Japanese style house in Kyoto. The staff is very nice and the food is very delicious. Washing room is very small and toilet only on the first floor.
• Piotr (10/5): Home away from home. - It truly felt like living in Kyoto for 9 days. Staying in a hotel is never the same. House was very spacious, with very comfortable beds. Perfect location with close proximity to the Train station (5min walk) and convenient store just around the corner. House had everything we needed and it was cleaned every three days. House had everything you need for a longer stay. There was one thing we didn't like. It was the washing machine with a drier. Unfortunately drier was not drying clothes and the house had no place to dry the clothes. We had to improvise. We had no car so looking for the laundry was not the option.

• Chan (8/5): good stay - room is big and super clean, we love it. There are 2 sleeping rooms at the 2 nd floor, 1 is western style with beds and 1 is Japanese style with tatami. Living room at the downstairs, also can sleep with tatami, so you can have privacy even you are with family or friends. Kitchen is well equipped, shower room is cozy with garden view. you have to go to a hotel to take the key, and they will travel you to the apartment with free taxi, it is ok for me, for check out, you just leave the key at the apartment and ok, can store the luggage at the hotel.

• Kareem (10/5): Excellent value - Wonderful experience. The house is old style, but highly modernized and very comfortable. A lot of thought went into providing amenities in the house that are accessible to non-Japanese speakers. The location is excellent for transport access (9min wall to Kyoto station and a block away from Toji temple). Check in was quick and very friendly. Would stay there again definitely.
