Guest Reviews
- Ben (6/5): - Looks like the seating area is designed to be less comfortable for a few hours stay. Food is "ok" with somewhat limited variaty
- Zhenning (6/5): - The lounge side heck in is great, Steven is very good reception. The hotel side staff have bad attitude due to I didn't book the room for
Hotel web. The two ladys at hotel counter need have more trainings, thabks
- Dewi (10/5): - Overall i
- Rachel (2/5): - Waste of money, you can get more comfortable chairs around the airport with wifi and power outlets for free.
- Stephan (2/5): - Nobody was at the reception which is not okay when paying by the hour
- coleem (4/5): - Shower without towel, lounge sofa, chairs are uncomfortable,
Only food was good
- Chaminda (8/5): - Average
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It is what it is.
- Zhenning (10/5): - Simple and clean
- Nicola Jane (4/5): Don’t bother - The chairs are completely uncomfortable. The charging points are inconvenient and the food is awful.
You’re better off finding a seat in the airport itself. It’s a complete waste of money. Don’t bother.
- Wai Kin (10/5): Good - Clean and good clean
- Stanley (8/5): - Convient
- Wai Leong (8/5): - It beats the hassle of rushing in the early transport booking and missing some items to bring along the way. The food and drinks are basic as it is late in the night, For those who prefer solid night sleep and rest, this option is not for them as you need to rest on a chair which is not OSIM compatible. To each his or her own,
- Banduka (10/5): - Property and service is good but the discrepancy in the add which was published in your website is misleading
- Erica (6/5): - They need a better understanding for customers needs…
- Sho (10/5): - Stayed here just for a few hours though, it was a good experience. The nap room was too cold though, I can understand someone prefer cooler temperature. The staff was great. Although I had a bit tricky request at that time, they could resolved it nicer, especially handing over my request internally perfectly.
- Arun (10/5): - Good place to rest
- Michael Alexander (4/5): - The staff were brilliant, however the sleeping area (Nap room) was very noisy these rooms are not complete rooms, partition walls which allows light and noise from other guests. Also it was extremely cold in the Nap Room areas.
what sleep I did get which was minimal the bet was comfortable. Food provided really needs to be upgraded.
The shower facilities was great. Will pay the extra in future to stay at a proper hotel within Changi Airport.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - the walls do not go to the ceiling, so you can hear the person in the next room, so you have to be very quiet.
- Sonia (8/5): - Convenience, clean room and bathroom. best place or nap sleep.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We cancelled trip so did not stay there. It is not at all convenient as it has only six hour nap time and does not woprk at all for long waits at airport.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Easy to access after a long journey. Pleasant and helpful staff at reception and also pleasant chamber maids.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good short stay - The room is actually at the Transit hotel across the hallway. Room is about 8x10 feet and shower/toilet is shared as stated.
Not a luxury place but very clean and comfortable. I had some good shuteye overnight and refreshed for the very early morning flight.
- Grant A (6/5): To expensive - Not impressed with the 6hr block of booking. Stayed 2 extra hours and was charged an extra 50 dollars. Next time I will sleep on airport floor. Changi airport is overpriced at every turn. I'm a frequent traveler and not impressed with the transit accommodation at Changi
- Ian (8/5): For stays of 5+ hours - Clean and convenient if you have an overnight layover. Better than sleeping on a bench in the terminal.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The most worst nightmare!!!
I wont Never use your website!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Should you just need a place to rest with shower and to catch your flight for within the next morning. Ambassador Transit lounge Singapore is the best place for your consideration.
But please make sure that your flight is @ T2.
Should your flight is like Airasia, you better choose anther lounge @ T4 is better.
- Lini (8/5): - Had a relaxing halt, because of privacy, excellent facilities and friendly staff, thank you very much!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Wish they had some more amenities but for a transit hotel seems good enough.
- Stuart (4/5): - I found it difficult to locate the lounge, when I did the receptionist was less then helpful. I was 15 mins early, so was told to leave and come back in 15 mins. I decided to wait it out in reception and was then told I could check in early for more money. I chose just to wait. The room was good (with exception to noisy bed) and the shower facilities were excellent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Huge commission to Expedia on this booking. - I paid $88 via hotels.com but my receipt from Expedia read $70.04. I realise there's commission in this sale, but that's a whacking great amount - approx 20%. I think booking directly with the accommodation place may be the better deal for me. The organisation when checking in was somewhat chaotic, and accommodation is for 6 HOURS, but if you calculate times, at least the room and its bed were comfortable. The shared shower/toilet was immaculately clean and we were able to use it outside the six hours. I'll give a positive shout-out to the young woman who did night duty. She was polite and helpful.
- Liz (8/5): - Nice , clean facilities and great staff. I’ll stay here again.
- anna catherine (2/5): - They are not as described ...
they are not proper walls just a half wall so you can look over and hear everything
- Angelo (8/5): - Pleasant stay, staff very helpful and it’s comfortable for a rest in between flights
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and quite. Staff are very accommodating.
- Alwi (2/5): - It’s was suppose to b a room
Not on a sofa.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - My experience is too much bad I hv my business class ticket with lounge but I took a booking only for sleep I need room and bed but I don’t get nothing only chair or
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The advertising title was napsuite with shower which made me believe the shower would be adjacent to the room, however, it was far away down the hallway. Lots of rooms unfortunately meant a lot of door banging, and the cleaning lady in the room next to mine produced quite some noise. So I got only very little sleep...
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and nice to sleep and i will get again for my accompdation for the next year vacation.
- Thilak (8/5): - good
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had a great sleep for 5 hours as needed. Would go back again to this hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is very good and the staff are great but i certainly did not receive what i expected. Wotif appeared to offer me a sofa bed within a small room (i booked 3 of those for 3 guests) but when i arrived i was advised by the friendly reception that all i had booked was access to the lounge and could sit in the upright sofas.
We really needed to sleep as we were on route to a soccer competition. Luckily the friendly staff managed to move some bookings around and we still received 1 small room (2 single beds) and i tried to get some sleep on the floor.
I find the wotif description of the property quite misleading and urge you to review how this property is displayed on your website.
I do occasionally travel overseas and on those occasions tend to use wotif to make bookings for accommodation
Hoping for your understanding on this and perhaps a refund or credit of sorts thanks
Mickey
- RStaude (2/5): - The booking was promising a bed, but all I gotvwas an armchair for 41$.
This used to be a free service for travellers!
- Verified traveler (2/5): No room left?! - Double booked us, so when we arrived expecting a nap room and bed to sleep in at 2am we had to sleep in a chair.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Offered a lounge chair not a room!! - I booked this expecting a single bedded room during a transit for my next flight but was told the booking was for a lounge style chair. After several minutes of making it clear to the staff that was not what i had expected when i booked they agreed to move me to a room.
I would recommend getting clarity before making a booking if it is for a room or a chair. If the latter i would suggest reconsidering making the booking as Changi is a first class airport. There are plenty of comfortable places to rest in the airport while in transit & various options for full lounge passes if you want additional services.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bad service! - I booked a 6hr room, waited in the que to check in at the hotel. When it was my turn, I was told that I have to go to the transit lounge. I went to the transit lounge, they sent me back to the transit hotel. I waited in the long que again. The whole process took me almost an hour because of the waiting time. It was not what I needed after my long flight!!!
- Bernie (6/5): - The stay was comfortable and the room and bed were very clean. Great for putting your feet up for a few hours between flights. However, do not expect to get any sleep. The noise of the airport operation and transit passengers made sleep imposible.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room has 4 walls but the walls were not high to the ceiling. So it is not so private, and any sound we make everyone can hear, as same as you will hear them too like snoring, packjng bag, moving in the bed.
The toilet is too far out at the reception, no in-room toilet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Simple, quiet area for quick sleep before next flight
- Verified traveler (4/5): - If you are selling this as a hotel then it is mistepresention. This is a dorm room with ablutions close by. If you are over 30 years old forget it.
- Ryzel (6/5): Noisy gym right next to the rooms - The gym was right next to the rooms & you could hear the loud noise of the treadmill when someone is using the gym. The room & the bed was decent but it’s mainly the noise from the gym that bothered me, I couldn’t sleep.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was exactly what I needed. There was construction noise though. The only reason it didn’t bother me was that I was too tired to care however the noise didn’t last long
- JOSEPH (10/5): - I liked the quietness and enjoyed the food and beverages.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - None of the bed ‘rooms’ have a ceiling - just a thin partition wall. This means you can a) hear every sound that the person in the next ‘room’ makes and b) see the light in their room when they turn it on/off, as the light comes into your room. In the six hours I was there, I heard a constant set of alarms going off, other people snoring/packing/unpacking/ turning on/off their lights. It was very difficult to get any sleep.
The bed was comfortable and clean and the staff were okay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Fine for what you are paying for the room. Was only there from midnight until 6 am. Check in was annoying since they could not find my booking, so then i had to try and find my booking to show them, by which time they said I had to go over to the other hotel reception across the hallway. Went there, filled out all the same information. Took the card back to the original reception where I was then given a hotel room key for the original facility.....would not have been as bad had it not been midnight after a series of long flights.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This may have been expedias fault. Property was listed as room with shower. However showers and toilets, which were unisex, were in seprate room across the lobby.. The room itself was more like a cubicle as the walls did not extend to the ceiling.. The cleaning staffs' supply closet was adjacent to the sleeping rooms and i was woken up several times by the noise of their voices. I do not recommend the ambassador transit lounge as a place to take a nap between flights. The ambassador transit hotel is probably better.
- Andrew (2/5): T2 Changhi Ambassodor lounge hotel rooms bad - Unhelpful staff on reception, very confrontational
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Clean place for a nap however seems to be some children’s playground or activity room on the wall opposite very loud wound up kids going nuts woke me up serval times
- John (2/5): Unsatisfactory. - I was under the understanding that I had booked a small room with a bed, as per your photo. However when I went to check in, I was told that what had been booked was just a 5 Hr access to their lounge, with its straight backed chairs, which are not very comfortable. Altogether it was very unsatisfactory and I will not use this facility again.
- Chong Yih (8/5): Simple amenities that fits the baisc needs - Stay was pretty much as expected as I have stayed here previously. Basic service and amenities can be expected although the price may be considered a little high since this is only a 6-hour stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It is nothing like the picture.
Basic bed in an open topped space, no privacy, no bed head, no desk or chair.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Unique and easy to access. Great for long time transit.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location very close to the gates easy access good cleanliness
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Buffet was minimal, chairs were not very comfortable. Good access to internet was the only benefit
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very handy as it's located airside - This is very handy for a short stop over while you're in transit as it is on the airside so you do not have to clear immigration.
Do not collect your bags from the carousel notify the airline staff at the transit counter that you are staying at the transit hotel and have your bags checked through to your next flight.
You booked these rooms in 6 Hour blocks and they are small compact and comfortable where you can bed down and get a little bit of sleep prior to joining up with a flight. There are separate toilets and showers which are shared but are cleaned regularly
- Graxxia (10/5): - Nice hotel for short staying passengers.
- Abdulkader (8/5): Good - Good but inclusion of snacks & coffee would have helped.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice sleep in a private room around transis area with a shopping retail.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Reception lady was quite rude, my bed was as hard & uncomfortable as any I have ever experienced in my life. Room was clean, common shower, bathroom area was clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very convenient. Though no attached bathroom, it was great
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good for long stop-over. Was able to rest a bit. Clean and quiet.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Not a pleasant stay, staff was not helpful, shared bathroom was not being cleaned immediately after previous guest. My first stay and hopefully the last.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Number 6 room is too cold as it is under the aircon outlet.i pair of flipflops would be great in each room for going from room to toilet.but other than that, it was great not comparing with a proper hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Other guest can be noisy. Need to brief guess to be quiet when they check in.
- Simon (8/5): Perfect place to catch a quick sleep. - This place is perfect if you need to catch a few hours sleep and a shower between flights in Singapore. Its basic but clean, comfortable and has friendly helpful staff. Also perfectly located within the airport transit lounge which has plenty of places to eat and drink.Overall would recommend for a short stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice lounge area where you can resting and grab food and drinks available if needed. You can have a nap also in there with nice comfort bed.
The shower is clean and staff are very helpful and stand by in there if you need assistance
- gurpreet (2/5): Please comfirm facilities before booking. - It was very bad experience in ambassador transit lounge, they put online one room with double sofa bed and charge me for that but they provide me only lounge with sofa chairs.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Picture deceving with a bed but you end up with a chair for 5 hours....really
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location fantastic, remember you must be on security side. I had connection following morning so had to wait to pick up my bag next morning for Air Asia connecting flight or would have not made it back through security. Remember to check ahead of time. Bath room and shower not in room, was a little disappointed but was ok.
- Diego (10/5): - Brilliant solution for a long layover in Singapore. This is hospitality done right with that incredible Singaporean efficiency.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I love the idea of this hotel inside airport security. However, I thought I was going to have a completely closed in normal hotel room. Instead, it was more like a bed inside a private cubicle and I could hear people sleeping (snoring) in other rooms and I could hear all of their alarms going off when it was time for them to wake up. Overall, it was nice to be able to get several hours of sleep in a real bed during my long layover. I would still recommend this to someone who is very tired and looking to get some sleep.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Convenient for light travellers. Rested well for an overnight.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable room - Was worried that I will just get a nap room in the lounge but surprised to find that I have a single room in the transit hotel. Although there is only 6 hours but I slept well because the bed is really comfortable and it is really quiet! The shower room is clean and spacious so I got to take a shower before I left for my flight. When I checked in they asked if I would like to expand my stay for 15 SGD per hour. Also you can choose to spend additional 15 SGD to enter the lounge for 1 hour, the food option is very limited at midnight so I will not recommend the lounge part.
- Bob (4/5): - I thought I was renting the room for the day but it was only for 6 hours. I don't recall anything in the agreement that said then my stay was limited to six hours
- David (6/5): Too noisy - Convenient situation. Clean showers and toilets but because the walls of each room don't reach the ceiling you hear every noise from every guest. Due to its nature there is a rapid turnover adding to the disturbance. At the minimum take ear plugs
- Tintin (8/5): - Just what you want for a long layover. Clean shower, bed and something to eat.
- David (6/5): - Take notice - the transit lounge is not the transit hotel. This is basically a cubicle with a bed in it. Noise and lights prevent a good night's sleep, even if it is for just a few hours
- Maxim (6/5): convenient as an in transit stop - Very handy as othe hotels will not allow an early check in booking
- joe (10/5): very convenient for early flight - it's great experience....room is comfortable shared bathroom is clean and spacious. morning call is great for early flight. free breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel - stayed there twice - out and inbound - On the outbound trip there were workmen in the roof area above my room at around 12 midnight through to about 2am that made sleeping difficult and for an uncomfortable stay.
- Chong Yih (6/5): Basic but adequate. - Staff wrongly sent me to the Ambassador Hotel next door initially before checking me in.
- Robert (10/5): Good to catch some sleep between flights. - You get a comfortable sort of 'cubicle' with a normal comfy bed and small desk. You can't see other guests, but you can hear them.
Showers are not really shared - you get your own shower with fresh towels and stuff from the attendant, it's just not en-suite, so you need to put some clothes on to use the toilet!
- Mateo (4/5): Noisy - Book the airport hotel instead, sleep was impossible as the rooms are separated but not above 2.5 meter. You can hear every room coming and going, talking, and snoring.
Next time, I will use the hotels.
- Akili (4/5): DO NOT GET FOOLED - This is a trick, don't let the photos fool you, you do not have access to sleeping. You only have access tot he lounge which compared other lounges is not that good. The choice of food is bland, but most important DO NOT GET FOOLED thinking you will have a bed to sleep in.
- Paul (6/5): - Having to walk down the hall for a shower and toilet should make for a cheaper room, other than that it was ok, apart from the 2 fire alarm tests
- Richard (2/5): Not a room! - This is a lounge not a room. The photos show a room which is very mid-leading.
- Lance (8/5): Communial showers - The overall condition of the hotel is good. The shower cubicles ventilation ducts are very dirty and the toilets need a little attention. Proper cleaning and loose toilet seats need to be fixed.
- Naresh (2/5): - Dont stay. I have paid $71 for few hours nap before boarding next flight. Just want to let you guys know its all wastage of money. Because wall of rooms made and adjoins with jipbrok. Next to my room person keep coughing constantly. That's make me to feel uneasy. Finally i gave up left room within one hour of check in. Made complaint to staff. Unfortunately staff doesn't want me to help at all.
- Lina (10/5): Cosy room, good for travellers - I had a 24hour layover in Singapore, so I booked this transit hotel within the terminal. Lovely staff, very cosy room with everything even though it’s a small single bed room. A little confused when checking in, they asked me to go to the lounge and come back, still don’t know why for.
