Guest Reviews
- Deepak (4/5): - Too many mosquitoes even after complaining no use .....water clogging while taking shower even complained same issue
- César (6/5): - The hotel is in good shape but could be more clean and properly mantained. It is also located next to train tracks so you can hear noise from trains all night.
- RnB16 (6/5): Rooms require complete refurbishment and staff needs training - During my stay in Delhi, my friend suggested me to stay at Connaught Royale Hotel.
According to her the hotel was of good standard and the location was good too.
I reached the hotel and was welcomed by the Reception Supervisor. I mentioned to the latter that I had a booking and showed him the reservation details.
He checked on the system and told me that the rate would be higher than agreed. I told him that he need to check with his senior and it was clearly mentioned on the mail about the agreed rate which was already high. He insisted and I was agreeable on the new rate as I was tired and wanted to rest.
When I reached my room I was given a room on the side of the main road, the room was pretty spacious. I settled in and went to use the wash bassin. The pipe was leaking and all the water was falling on my feet.
I found that unhygienic and a trip hazard too as it was slippery. I tried not to pay much attention to it as I needed rest. Later I went for shower and the bathroom was dirty with molds on the walls.
Well it’s really disgusting and unhealthy to stay in such a room.
I went downstairs and requested whether my room could be changed and the Reception Supervisor mentioned that there was no availability. So I had no choice as I had to stay in that same room.
Later I went for dinner and opted for a light meal. I was served and the food was good.
Their restaurant is just behind the Reception and it is quite appropriate for that type of hotel.
I went to my room to brush my teeth again the water from the wash bassin was spilling out. I had to place a towel in order to stop that disaster.
I went to sleep and switched off the lights and was disturbed by the noise on the road and as the curtains were not closing properly there was the street lights which were reflecting in the room.
I must admit it was very disturbing and uncomfortable.
I hardly slept that night.
The next day after my shower I slipped in the bathroom. Luckily I wasn’t hurt.
I went downstairs for breakfast and there was a buffet mostly with Indian food and some continental options. It was reasonable nothing like a grand choice of dishes.
I asked the waiter for assistance and was told everything is labeled and I have to serve myself. Even for the tea and coffee I should serve myself.
I was surprised but thought it might be the standard of that hotel.
So I went to serve myself and was eating quietly at a table.
There comes the twist an Indian couple walked in the restaurant and the waiters approached them very politely and started showing them the various dishes. They even accompanied the guests to their table and took their order.
Few minutes later the couple were served at their table and they made some request of some special food which wasn’t on the buffet and were served. I must point out that the guests are just like any guest yet they were given VIP service.
What a pity as the waiters are not even allowed to do anything like that as they should provide the same level and quality of service to all the clients residing at their property.
Being a foreigner I was definitely paying a higher price in US Dollars. That’s truly an unprofessional attitude.
I went to the Reception to check whether they had any rooms available as I wanted to change room due to it’s poor quality. They mentioned for the coming 2 days there’s no availability.
Then I decided to checkout from the hotel.
I requested for the checkout formalities to be done.
In the meantime I called a taxi.
I went to my room to pack my luggage.
Later a gentleman came to pick my luggage.
He was welcoming and greeted me in a polite manner.
He asked me why I’m leaving so early. So I showed him the mess in the bathroom and the room.
The gentleman requested me to give him the opportunity of showing me another room. I was surprised and told him that the Reception staff told me there was no availability. He took me on another floor and showed me two different rooms.
To be honest one of the room looked appropriate. It was of a lower category but was better.
I thanked the gentleman for his service and went downstairs to settle my bill.
Again they made an error on my bill and I settled more. For me the most important thing was to leave that place.
The Manager came to say good bye to me as his staff mentioned to him that I was leaving as I was unhappy. He greeted me and asked me what were my experiences so I mentioned I better leave as this hotel is not as per my standards.
He wanted to have additional information so I mentioned about the poor quality of the bathroom, room, bad service of the restaurant staff, Reception staff being rude.
I mentioned to him that there was a gentleman who showed me two other rooms after breakfast he was very professional.
I mentioned to the Manager that his Hotel staff should value customers and be willing to assist when there are genuine cases.
I was truly disappointed with the service offered at Connaught Royale Hotel despite the high price.
I will not recommend this hotel to other travellers.
- Pankaj (8/5): - Rooms are too small, facility requires an upgrade . Location is best!
- Sunil (2/5): - Terrible stay at Connaught Royale- have stayed 2 years ago and sad to say the condition of there rooms have drastically detiorated and poorly maintained.
Upon arrival- we was given a room where the toilet flush panel was completely off and was impossible to flush the toilet- one would think the room should have been checked upon allocation to a new guest. Upon informing the check in desk- we was then offered a new room on another floor where the AC unit attached on the ceiling was half hanging down which looked like a major hazard. After a long domestic flight this was the last thing i was looking for- I again reported this back to the check in desk- was told to wait- waited another 20 mins and was checked in to 'the best room of the hotel' - the AC took at least 35-40 mins to cool the room.
The whole process took over 1 hour- no water/drink was offered as all the staff could clearly see we were travellers with large suitcases- this was the start of a ruined trip to Connaught Place.
Our stay was for 5 night- i was shocked with the cleanliness of the room- there was dust settled in all corners of he room, the flooring was old and had cracks and was heavily worn out. We found mould in the sink plug and mould all around the marble of the sink. The main rain shower was full of rust and the smaller shower was hanging off the wall including the plugs from the tiles- this eventually fell off during our stay. We were charged for Ice- Will NEVER book this place again!
- Pankaj (8/5): - Hotel is at a very convenient location ,connaught place is just a waling distance from the hotel. Rooms were spacious staff was very helpful rooms need some upgradation as there are no USB charging ports in the rooms. Overall hotel experince was comfortable and convenient.
- Excursion26979868249 (2/5): Tip tip barsa pani - An excellent hotel for those who love waterfall near their bed and tip tip barsa pani music all the night. Yeah you read right. I had the privilege to stay for a night enjoying the same. The water was distilled to utmost purity as it was coming from the rooftop AC unit. Believe me the staff did not disturbed me at all. Nor did they tried to shift me to a dry room. Infact they provided me a bucket to place under the waterfall to facilitate better amplification of the tip top music. I am really greatful to them. These are their standard norms. Keep it up guys.
- Joanne Theresa (6/5): - The staff were all friendly and attentive. The room however needs updating. TV didn't work, air con was soo noisy couldn't keep it on. By day 3 our room attendant got our requirements sorted, a toilet roll, 2 bath towels & a hand towel. Breakfast was good, items made to order. Hotel in a good central location near to restaurants etc
- Manjodh (4/5): - Mood good
- Basilio (8/5): Good place walking distance from Connaught Place - Fair place to spend last night in Delhi near Connaught Place
- omm2013 (6/5): Short city break - The hotel is situated close to the city centre and walking distance to a close by Shanker market The room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom needs an upgrade. The staff were very helpful and polite and the
Breakfast was very good we stayed there for 3 nights. The hotel has a very good main chef who prepared dishes as requested.
- mohit266 (4/5): Dirty and Small Room - I have booked this place for 2 nights. When I checked in, i got room at 4th floor. Room was dirty as I saw many hairs in the bathroom as well as on the bed. This room did not have any window for sunlight or fresh air because of that room had some weird smell. I had to leave the room after one night as room was suffocating and when I checked at front desk to change the room, I did not get any support. This only plus for this hotel is the location. I will never go back to this place.
- 223rajeshg (10/5): Diamond in the Rough - We needed a place to rest and repack before our flight. Being from the United States, we were not sure we would find a place. Mr. Vinod Kumar was excellent in accommodating us at the last minute. We had lunch there also. The room was clean and very well appointed for the price! The food was excellent and clean. The espressos were also the best I've had in India and better than the Leela in Delhi! Actually better than any Starbucks as well! When we return to Delhi, we will be back to stay a while!
- Lilawatie (8/5): - Service was great. Kitchen staff accommodated me. Reception ensured quovk check on and check out. Overall O would highly recommend this hotel
- johnhenrya117 (10/5): Excellent - The room, food, and service were excellent. The staff attended to all my needs during my stay in the hotel. The Receptionist, housekeeping supervisor, housekeepers, waiters, chef, and security were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended. 😊
- Roam16493525942 (6/5): Good but needs improvement - Perfect stat for a short get away in the heart of the National Capital, should definitely go for it if looking for a budget hotel. However reception staff is a little rude, called today to make a booking for next week and requested for a early check in and the same was denied right away.
- mohamadreza (8/5): - Very easy check-in and helpful staff.clean room. Hot water in the shower was not very hot most of the times. It would be a good idea that they provide some slippers inside the rooms
- G3424IKflavias (10/5): Great place to stay in Delhi! - The hotel is very nice and clean and the staff is very kind. It is my first time in Delhi and I felt very welcome.
The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The room and the bathroom have a very good size. The food at the restaurant is excellent and have lots of vegetarían options.
And it was very easy to get anything I needed just a short walk from the hotel.
Everyone was really helpful and made me feel at home.
Thank you so much 🙏
- rocelynp2020 (10/5): Hotel cannaught royale - I went to cannaught royale for 4 days trip in India.
I had a good experience. The place is in central location, good for nclex takers as it's near the examination building. The receptionist were attentive, all the staff are very helpful and polite, specially Mr. Virender who used to assist me wherever i eat in the hotel's restaurant. The food is really good, you can customize it by requesting if you don't want spicy food. Cleanliness is ok, there is wifi, toiletries and warm water. I highly recommend this hotel and their very good staff.
- Connector34313755774 (10/5): Lovely Stay ! -
Excellent services with original taste of Indian Cuisines. Had a lovely Stay 😇
Well managed and secured hospitality with excellent breakfast buffets 🤤
Thank you for your kind and invaluable Services !
- Trail10302790424 (10/5): Wonderful Experience - The hotel environment and rooms are very neat. They have very receptive staffs and their food is 10/10. I tried their continental dishes and Chinese dishes and I must say I was very impressed. Wifi is stable and everything is just right from my perspective
- Sunshine703689 (10/5): A wonderful hotel with friendly staff, great food and ace location! - A fabulously friendly environment. Helpful happy staff. Good food. Accommodating, pleasant hospitality. Great location! I would recommend this lovely hotel to tourists and business clientele alike. Nothing is too much trouble. Great manager and staff. Comfortable. Clean. Reasonable charges.
- _X1302IF (10/5): Great hospitality - Breakfast is served as buffet style. I stayed for five days and half of the menu changed each day. Chef cooks eggs as you like. I heard a strange noise from the electrical outlet at night and when I called the staff, they fixed it right away. Warm hospitality. The staff is always smiling and cheerful.
- Nigel (8/5): - The manager was exceptionally thoughtful and considerate in a difficult circumstance.
- Michelle (8/5): - Although off to a bad start with the night manager claiming the hotel was fully booked when I had in fact pre-paid for my room, the rest of my stay was pleasant. Even being next to the train tracks, the area was very quiet.
- meenakshi sundaram (2/5): - Stay away from this property..they don’t have a good system to keep track of money paid by customer and can result in loss of money and fraud. While checking out, the folio statement confirms the same. Better stay away from here
- Go03895163768 (8/5): A beautiful place in Connaught Place - I booked I through Make my trip and got a very good deal. The ratings were 3.8 but when I went through the comments section I could see some real good reviews.
The hotel is located at one of the prime locations and the rooms are pretty good and decent one the only problem I had is the there are no windows for ventilation and one has to solely depend on the air purifier otherwise the hotel is exceptional.
All the staff are very kind and polite. I would like to give a special mention for Kamlesh ji for his kind attitude and prompt service.
Looking forward for your services in future.
- hmpatel7 (10/5): Best Experience - Hotel Staff is very polite.
Breakfast is good.
Near to CP
I like rooms and location.
Hotel management is good.
Will visit next time.
One of best hotel near CP.
Highly recommended for business trip or family
- Rohit (6/5): - It was ok
- GAGANDEEP (2/5): - These Guys are just fraud took 3600 and did not even gave the room nor refunded the money as they were the ones who did not gave the room. Rude staff and complete frauds .. BUYERS BEWARE .. I’ll go to media and Twitter to tell everyone about this scam
- drdiganta (4/5): Poor experience - Booked a room for 3 nights from 16th October to 18th October, 2022.The hotel is located in a prime location in Connaught Place. The room allotted was small however was okay for a single person. The room key given to me was not working, and every time I go out they gave me the same key and repeatedly I had to go to the reception to tell them its not working. And every time they send some boy to open my room with a different key and the same thing was repeated till I checked out. Room service is very poor. Inspite of repeated request they didn't provide me extra water on the first day, also there were no towels in the room however was provided on requesting 3-4 times. When I checked in, I was asked to pay advance, so I payed an amount of Rs 15000/-. During checking out when I asked for my bill, my advance was not excluded from the bill. When I asked the reason, the receptionist told me that I haven't paid any advance as per their record. Luckily I had the screenshot of the payment which I showed to him. Infact they also forgot to call the taxi to drop me at the airport, though payment was done for the same. So I was late by half an hour when I reached the airport.
Over all my experience is very bad
- KamalKamtiSen (6/5): Average Service - The hotel location is great. However it lacks some of the basic service qualities that any hotel nowadays have. You have to ask for Wifi details whereas it should be part of check in process. The restaurant service is also needs major improvement.
- OnAir68217079613 (8/5): Good first visit. - Nice room with good size for two people. A really soft a comfortable bed! The air-condition in our room was a bit noicy but still fine. Very close to cougnaut Place. But the best thing with the hotel as a first time visit to New delhi was the help from the personal with information before arrival and no problem with pick-up at airport.
- Journey65985474543 (2/5): THIRD CLASS AIR CONDITIONING BLIWER LOUD NOISE. - Third class air conditioning.
The blower of the AC make a loud noise.
You cannot sleep with the LOUD noise of the as blower in the room.
Don’t take a room in this hotel.
You will not be able to have a peaceful sleep at all.I stayed for 4 nights in 4 different rooms.
All rooms have same problem.
Inspite of me informing them about my problem they could not fix it Extremely poor
- Vedant (2/5): Okayish - It was not great at all. The switch boards don’t work in the room. Shower does not work at all. For 3 people the room becomes conjusted but for 2 it’s sufficient. The glass dividing bathroom the room was covered with curtains. The curtains also were not fully touching the floor. Overall it was not that great. Staff was helpful.
- Debashis (4/5): - It was close to CP market
- Manju (10/5): - This is an excellent hotel, food was simply delicious, was a bit over priced but gives the value for money. Would highly recommend staying here!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Good location, watch out for service chg - Pros: Good location, reasonable cleanliness, courteous staff
Cons:
1. Watch out for 10% service charge added to all the food ordered from the downstairs restaurant. I dont mind paying 10% as long as the money is directly paid to the workers.
2. For the 3 nights we stayed at the hotel, we did not get hot water even a single day. The best we got was luke warm water. Looking at previous reviews, the hot water problem is chronic. The hotel management however mentioned to us that "a major fault happened this week, due to which no hot water".
In conclusion, if you dont mind staying a bit further, you can find much better hotels for the price paid.
- Venkatesh (8/5): - Near to the CBD Area. Nice property. Good Upkeeping!
- Pratim (6/5): - We booked with the double price that they are offering to the people without prior booking. Employees are unaware of many things. There was air port shuttle mentioned during at this website but they refused the service. One of the employees is so rude. He was unwilling to provide extra toiletries for two days'stay. During room service they did not change the bed cover (which has stain), did clean toilet seats. How hotels.com chaged so much for sucha cheap hotel is beyond imagination
- Verified traveler (2/5): SCAMMERS - They sent me a taxi to pick me up at the airport, a driver by the name of "Milkha Singh" (cab number DL1T9452) who was unprofessional, didn't help me with my bags, parked way too far from the airport and was a horrible driver we nearly hit other cars over 10 times.
I paid even more than the agreed fees of 1575 rupees (paid 1590) to the taxi driver upon arrival. On checking out the hotel manger accused me of not paying and Milkha said I only paid him 120 rupees as a tip (basically stole the 1590 rupees from me) and they required that I pay the fair again. The manager was shouting on me and accusing me of lying saying his driver never lies. It was a scam to make me pay again. Very unprofessional and bad management.
Even more the hotel didn't have HOT water in the shower during my stay in winter and told me if I need hot water they'll provide it in a "bucket".
The bed sheets were dirty and stained and I asked them to change them, the new ones were stained as well with brown/bloody stain.
Room services didn't clean the room for 2 consecutive days out of my 5 days.
I got to the hotel at 5 in the morning and the hotel was closed even though I called them earlier to inform them of the time I arrive, had to wait over 15 minutes in the cold till my parents called the hotel from my home country (to check if I arrived at the hotel or not) waking up the receptionist.
Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, it's over priced for the service they offer.
Horrible hotel.
- Maheshk (6/5): - Hotel is in a good location, unfortunately hotel very compact, it also reflect the room size and the reception is part of the dining area which feels very compact, breakfast is very limited, if you if you have a lied in for a late breakfast, then breakfast is very limited as they do not replenish. 4 star is really a 3 star
- Tk (8/5): - Average sized rooms but in good condition and prompt service!
- Allen (10/5): - Staff very polite and friendly. We were early and they accommodated us.
- Ioana (4/5): Average - Giving this place 2 stars: 1 for location, 1 for food. Otherwise, we had several issues.
Contacted the hotel 3 times through Hotels.com to arrange airport pick up, completely ignored. When I’ve email them directly, they finally responded.
Room wasn’t exceptional, but quite dusty, with some mosquitos around. There was air-con and sheets and towels clean. During the first night, our phone randomly phone twice, waking us. Other guests started singing and shouting on the hallway and kept their room’s door open. We had to ask them twice to lower their voice.
The next day when we came back in the evening, we had to phone twice for toilet paper.
Major issue at the end with payment. The receptionist wanted us either to pay in cash or to pay in our home currency. All other hotels we stayed at give us the option to pay in rupees via card, so we ended up paying at a very bad rate and the receptionist blankly refused to give us the option to pay with card in rupees.
Food: a few good options for breakfast, but on the basic side. Option to order freshly made omelettes and dosas.
We had the options to get one free meal a day – food was very good, especially chilly chicken and chilly panner. Servers also nice and attentive.
Location: very good, a walk away from Connaught Place, which has plenty of shops and eating places.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I have reserved the room for 2 persons, amenities were for 2 person. When asked - they said the amenities is per room. Well, w2 persons can share a shampoo and a shower gel, maybe... but not a soap, a body lotion and a shaving/brushing kit. Only at the second day I discovered there was a brushing kit in the hotel's amenities, because the day before - the housekeeping simply had not put it, so I was not aware it was in the amenities I had paid for and I had been entitled to. Only the thrid day I discovered there was a shaving kit in the hotel's amenities, because the day before - the housekeeping simply had not put it, so I was not aware it was in the amenities I had paid for and I had been entitled to. I had not been compensated for the days beofre that I had to purchase and use muy own. Then, I reserved for 2 persons. Including an Indian colleague. They forbid (contrary to many other hotels) Indians from Delhi to stay to sleep. Fear of prostitutions. Even from Same sex. so only Indians coming from other states. Well, this I have to know in advance (the meaning of Local IDs) and check with the colleague coming or the candidate coming for interviwes what their local ID is. And if they come in the middle of the night for a SkyPe interview (three parties: myself, himself and the US - time differences) and they do not want to go to the other side of Delhi in the night because of secirity bissues - then I am a bit annoyed, and there is no solution
- Vicente (10/5): Second stay. - Clean room. Clean bathroom. Very good breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is in central New Delhi, if you have never traveled to India before you do not need to worry the staff are very helpful, they will order you a taxi or tell you which metro lines etc to catch.
- Kathy (10/5): Lovely stay - We were at this hotel for two nights and enjoyed our time there. The staff was great and very welcoming. The breakfast had a nice selection of Indian and non-Indian foods. They also had fresh cooked omelets in a number of different styles - cheese, masala, etc. the rooms frig had room for bottles of water as well as any other sweets we wanted to chill. The bathroom was great with a nice quantity of hot water. The hotel is distance from old Delhi but very close to New Delhi sites. We highly recommend Benegli Market which is only about 500 meters down the street as well as a side market only 2 min from the hotel with wonderful food. We enjoyed the low key atmosphere outside of the hotel that allowed for easy walks with few hassles except for tuk tuk drivers but great that hey are there if you want to go somewhere .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely fantastic hotel! Cosy and comfortable right in the heart of Delhi. 5 mins walk to Connaught Place, 10 mins to the rail station.
The staff were amazing! Each getting to know each guest, and tailoring their service to suit each and every guest!
We stayed here twice, once before going to Punjab, and after.
My mother and sister caught severe food poising in Punjab, thus putting a damper on the last five days of holiday.
At the first signs of symptoms, the hotel called their on call doctor who visited twice a day to administer meds.
The entire staff could not have done any better in making sure that their unwell guests were comfortable! Constantly checking in, having chef make lite foods.
Moreover and importantly, the Owner of the hotel was personally involved with all the guests. Especially making everything as comfortable for my mother and sister.
The owner of the hotel that puts his guests needs first was massively respectful.
I'd give this hotel 10/10! 100% outstanding.
I'm heading back to India in a few weeks, defiantly staying there again!
P.s its right opposite The World Trade center of Connaught Place. That opens at 0930, it has a charming cafe, travel agents, banks and currency exchange.
The air port was offering 75 Rupees to the Pound Sterling, when the rate was 91 to to the Pound. The exchange at WTC did it for 90 to the Pound!
- Ania (10/5): - I stayed in that hotel for few days. I had clean room and bathroom with a delicious breakfast.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location and nice room. Unfortunately we ran into a few problems with our room such as having a lukewarm shower the first night, shower flooding every night. The TV didn’t work and the kettle broke. Also on our last night the aircon stopped working completely.
- Kuldip (2/5): Very very disappointed - Hotel is not up to the mark . The bathrooms clogged ... water coming to the bedrooms ... service very bad ... very disappointed
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There was no hot water. I had to call the desk repeatedly with no response. After the 3rd time calling they said the boiler was being repaired.
It happened again the next day, and then they changed the excuse to something about no hot water during off peak times.
Hot water is e necessity. we come to hotels to bath and rest simply put.
The shower dorrs were not installed properly and all the water created a pool in the washroom. I had to soak up the water with towels on the floor and my feet were always wet. The plumbing fixtures were loos and about to break. The lock on the washroom door didn't work.
They didnt allow my brother(whom I came to visit in India) to my room. No guests policy etc. And other complaints not worth my time to mention.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great service and excellent staff. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel .
- Raghunathan (8/5): Good location and comfortable stay! - The room was cozy and comfortable and the hotel staff were helpful. The offering for the breakfast was decent but had limited spread. The TV set remote wasn't in condition requiring some special skills to surf thru & watch the programs.
- Mark (8/5): - Great breakfast. Friendly. Only downside was I’d booked an upgrade room with city view but was given basic room looking directly into the kitchen. Told only room available. Was a late arrival on a short stay so couldn’t argue too much. Otherwise would have been 5 star.
- Pratik (10/5): - Perfect hotel to stay for business travellers as well as tourists. Location is excellent, amneties are good, cleanliness and room comfirt are good, staff is extremely courteous. Value for money
- Verified traveler (4/5): Great location, questionable accommodations - The front end and food staff were great! However, there were stains on our bed covers and the water from the shower didn’t drain, it flooded the whole washroom with soap residue. There was nowhere to lounge also.
- Valentina (10/5): Very nice hotel - We loved this hotel: the room was very comfy and clean, the staff kind and friendly. We had an excellent breakfast. The position is also convenient to explore the city. Good wifi.
- Vijai (8/5): - Excellent location and convenience to Connaught Place
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very helpful staff
Water and juice on arrival
Able to meet our needs for luggage storage
- Simon (8/5): Nice Hotel in New Delhi - Very pleased to get an early check in. I was able to productively spend the first business day. Staff are very helpful. Room is nice and well kept.
Drop off by taxi is made outside the Hotel due to lack of drop off parking space. Other than that it's a great place with good value for money!
The chef made continental dinner for me which was really Nice!
Will definitely be back!
- Patrick (4/5): Overpriced & terrible service - Connaught Royal is way overpriced and the service at reception is terrible.
When paying more than $160USD (11,000 rupees) one would expect to have top quality service and amenities - this is not the case.
- Hot water didn't work the first day
- The glass shower door didn't close well
- The bed was not very comfortable
- They took more than 20 minutes to get my bag out of storage (they were nice enough to keep it for me after checkout), maybe 30mins. They weren't busy either. There was one other person at reception
- the food for dinner was WAY overpriced and the worst Indian for I've ever had.
- they just generally seemed unhappy to be helping people at the front desk. As I was checking out another traveler was yelling at them because he had a terrible stay.
On the positive side:
- It was clean and probably recently renovated
- air conditioning was a nice respite from the hot outdoors
- they kept my bag after checkout while I explored the city before my flight.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Classy hotel - The hotel is well located and not too far from CP. The room is clean and the shower is strong and good. Internet connection is fast too. Breakfast is limited in terms of variety. But otherwise, I will recommend this hotel to other travellers.
- Shamus (6/5): Okay hotel in a good location - Hotel in a good location and seemingly good for the price that we paid. The room was a little dated and small and the shower was weird (filled the bathroom floor with water). Decent breakfast buffet.
Overall stay was okay and would stay again for the right price.
- Simon (10/5): Good, clean modern - The hotel had just been re-furnished to a high standard and service and location was great.
- Frequent Travel (2/5): Horror House - Checked in mid afternoon only to be told we were to be "walked" to another hotel as hotel was full. Refused to accept this.......only to have staff "find" us a room. Room was filthy.....mould on shower curtains which stank of urine. Air conditioning system non-functional. Pipe tapping noises throughout night kept us up throughout night
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Location and good amenities. - Hotel Connaught is a comfortable ( even though small ) hotel , with good amenities and located close to the heart of New Delhi .
- Gabe Lara (8/5): nice for the price - personal very friendly and accommodating. we had to leave at 5am every morning and the suited with breakfast that early.
Nice good too.
