• Kerri (10/5): Exceptional - Amazingingly spacious 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of the old town. Quiet quad outside the house with beautiful trees, giving a sense of tranquility on the balcony and rooftop terrace. Completely equipped with everything you need for a self-catered stay. Both rooms equally spacious and very comfy beds/bedding, right down to soft and firm pillows. Loved meeting Nikos, the owner, who gave us some great local recommendations. No parking, which was only tricky for us as we were travelling with a 4yo and a 4 month old baby! Stairs leading to top floor very steep, a consideration if travelling with toddlers.
• Konrad (10/5): Exceptional - Liked the central location - pretty close to the best part of Rethymno beach (10 mins walk) and to restaurants/shops (almost downstairs). A quiet place, despite being in the center of the old town. Everything was great.
• Gergő (8/5): I’d stay here again - Kind host, superb location, everything available The staircase to the second floor of the apartment is very steep, the water pressure in the shower is weak.
• Christos (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, close to everything. The Appartment is amazing and Nicolas tried to make it look like home. Small gestures that add a lot of value (3 different coffee variations, toiletries from Corres, a cold bottle of wine waiting for us) I will definitely returns again when I am again in Rethymno
• Michael Volthers (10/5): Perfect location in Old Town - Beautiful, romantic house in Rethymno's beautiful Old Town with both balcony and toof terrace. The house is totally renovated not many years ago and top condition with everything you need including a well-euqipped kitchen where you can actually cook is you wish so; you find 100+ restaurants within a five-minute walk. It is located in a very narrow street so you won't hear much trraffic (no cars here, only two-wheelers) and none of the noise from the main streets. Highly recommended for 2 or 4 people (6 will be crowded), but it may not be great for older people as there are some steep stairs to the great roof terrace. Owner/host Nikos is super friendly & helpful. We actually stayed here twice in 2022 - in august and again in october - we just had to come back :-) And we will be back again.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - The place was exceptional. Nikos and Georgia have wonderful taste, a well thought out and clean residence with everything one could possibly need. We were truly impressed! In addition, their assistance on the best beaches, restaurants and sights of Rethymno were all spot on. Would definitely recommend Mayas Boutique, especially for longer stays.
• Mona (10/5): Et hjem på reise - Vertskapet vil at Maya’s skal føles som et hjem. Og det lykkes de veldig bra med. Huset har alt du kan ønske deg: Soverom med komfortable senger og masse plass til å henge opp klær. Kjøkken med kaffe til trakteren, olivenolje og honning på bordet og vin og vann i kjøleskapet. (Og alt fra toastmaskin til mikrobølgeovn i kjøkkenbenken. Stue med DVD-piller, TV og gode høyttalere, en boks med musikk-CD-er og en med filmer. Kule interiørdetaljer som spisebord laget av gammel dør med glassplate over. Tøff kunst på veggene. Bad med sjampo, såpe og bodylotion fra kvalitetsmerket Korres. Og krukker med sminkefjerner-pads og Q-tips. Hylle med kam, hårbørste og bind, hvis du har glemt å ta med det. Medisinskap med alt av plaster og medisiner mot vanlige sydenplager. Til og med solkrem. I tillegg veldig hyggelig vertsskap som stiller opp hvis du trenger hjelp til noe. Beliggenheten er suveren, en rolig bakgate i gamlebyen, to minutter å gå til Rimondi-fontenen og frm minutter til stranden.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent Apartment, close to beach and harbour. - This apartment is excellent in all ways. It's clean and modern and very spacious. The location was perfect for us. It's very close to the old town, beach, harbours (old and new) and fortress. The old town has lots of side streets with plenty of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. The apartment is a block behind the shops so is very quiet and over looks an orange tree. There are two balconies, one in the shade and one in the sun. We were there to chill out, so we walked in the mornings/lunch times, had a light brunch, then relaxed for a few hours and then went out in the evenings for a walk and meal. The bus station is also close by, so we got a bus up the hill to Mili Gorge and then walked down through the gorge and then got a bus from the beach road back into the old town. We would highly recommend. The other thing, the hosts were very welcoming and very helpful with any information we required, and at the same time respected our privacy.
