Guest Reviews
- Usha (9/5): - There was no breakfast , this is the only negative point Breakfast should have been provided , at least tea /coffee but otherwise everything was perfect
- Ajay (10/5): Great - Neat. Affordable. Centrally located. Nothing
- Mohan (8/5): -
- kasun samanpriya (1/5): Very Disappointing Experience – Confirmed Booking but No Stay - I booked this hotel through Booking.com and received a confirmed reservation. However, the hotel later sent messages saying it was cancelled while the Booking.com status still showed confirmed.
When I arrived at the hotel directly from the airport (my first time visiting India), the staff told me the booking was cancelled and I could not stay. I was left without accommodation after a long journey.
This was extremely disappointing and stressful. I do not recommend this place due to unreliable booking management and poor communication.
- Shilpa (4/5): Staff can be trained well - Rooms were clean , accessible Reception needs to be groomed well about the requirements, despite of mentioning certain conditions and booking an extra room I had to pay 2.5k extra just to change.
- Allwyn (5/5): - Support staff was helpful We were initially shown a cramped room which v didnt like. Since i had booked through booking.com i went for cancellation online. This prompted the hotel to give a good room having good light.
- shetty (8/5): Very close to our job destination - Simple and tasty
- Sushil Modi (9/5): -
- Ramakanth (7/5): - Location is very good. Room is spacious but average interior, Breakfast is below average.
- Raghavendra (8/5): - Clean, Easy check in and check out. Staff courtesy could be slightly better.
- Mascarenhas (7/5): - Location
- Vedkumar (7/5): Clean rooms, very airy. - they serve hot breakfast. But sadly they dont have a restaurant for basics like Tea and Biscuits They should provide room service of Tea and cofee. Also packaged snacks
- Darshan (10/5): - Staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.
- Vamsy (9/5): Stay at Treebo Papillon Palace - The room was great and the staff were very courteous and helpful. The best part is the location right next to Navbharat Circle. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent - with a variety of items served each day! The wi-fi was poor as was mobile reception (for use as a hotspot). This could be due to the location of the building but if they fix this one issue this is a truly great place to stay at in Mangalore!
- Jan (7/5): -

- Anil (7/5): city is good - location staff are not cordial, warm, the hotel need to hire a plumber really quick, taps leaking, sprays blocked, water mixture in poor condition
- O (10/5): Great! - Great property. Centrally located. Well maintained. Affordable. Easy check in and check out.
- Preetham (3/5): - Parking Bed, linen, bathroom was smelly, curtain was smelly. Extra bed provided was not upto the mark.

Rating: 5/10
I recently stayed at this property for three nights, and while the location near PVS Circle was convenient and the reviews on Booking.com appeared promising, my overall experience was average.
We had booked two rooms and specifically requested higher-floor accommodations; however, both rooms were allotted on the ground floor. The rooms were clean and not unpleasant, but they felt quite basic. Out of the three charging points available, only one functioned properly, and we eventually had to use the TV’s USB port to charge our phones. The air conditioning worked well, which was a positive. The bed linens were not stained but appeared worn out, especially when compared to those on the upper floors, which looked newer and better maintained.
The washroom was also fairly average—no toiletries or tissue roll were provided initially, and we received them only after requesting. Additionally, the taps were leaking, and the flush continued draining water nonstop, which was inconvenient.
Breakfast was served on the 5th floor. While the kitchen area seemed clean, the dining space was unusually warm, making the experience slightly uncomfortable. The food itself was decent.
Laundry services are outsourced, meaning the turnaround time is approximately 30 hours, and payment must be made in cash, which may be inconvenient for some guests.
The staff were not rude, but overall customer service could certainly be improved. They seemed polite but not proactive or attentive.
In summary, I would rate my stay 5/10. The property has potential but requires notable upgrades, especially in the rooms and basic amenities. It’s possible that rooms on higher floors are better maintained, but based on my experience on the ground floor, improvements are definitely needed.
- Jan (8/5): Pleasant stay. I plan to come back here! - Rooms are spacious and clean. The bed is good. Reception friendly. Safe parking for motorcycle. The breakfast comprises mostly unhealthy items like white bread, juice, tea and coffee premixed with sugar. How to cut bread and omelette with two spoons? Staff is friendly!
- Advait (9/5): - It was very close to the navbharat circle and the rickshaw stand was just beneath the stay.. We easily got rickshaws. The famous machili restaurant was like 100mts so food was also good. There was no tea or coffee available inhouse but still insta tea and coffee sachets were good.
- Sathish (7/5): -
- Aleena (7/5): -
- Filipe (8/5): -
- Naveen (7/5): Location location location - The location was perfect for my stay...it was central to what I had plans to do The towels were smelly and the blankets were torn....these could have been better managed.
- Sudhir (6/5): - Break fast and location was good but room size and cleanliness was average
- Vinod (7/5): -
- Sharavanan (5/5): - Cleanliness Costly, breakfast not many options
- Bn (10/5): -
- Dr.Arnav (1/5): - Location was all right I wasn't allowed a stay on arrival
- Dongarge (10/5): - Comfortable bed and peaceful atmosphere. Slept like a baby.
- Jatin (10/5): - Modern rooms with all essentials. Perfect for a weekend getaway.
- Muthanna (8/5): - As this is located centrally, it is easy. Also, cleanliness is good. The bedsheets had a lot of holes in them.

- SIRAJUDDEEN (1/5): -
- Mohankumar (7/5): -
- Tauseef (7/5): Good - Morning breakfast Room setup. Bathroom door broken
- Avinash (7/5): Good - It's is in city easy accessible and friendly staff The cleaning staff should come daily and make sure to make the cleaning. We had to inform on this
- Dipak (6/5): - overall good for the price
- Desai (5/5): Passable - I would have liked a curtain in the bathroom, to avoid the rest of the bathroom from getting wet. Specially for my elderly mother that was a bit difficult.
- Naik (6/5): Pleasant - Breakfast was average
facilities were good
Ac is old in the room
place can be made more lively The stay is pleasant. there is not much too complain , but nothing to praise either
- Benny (8/5): Very good -
- Padma (8/5): Very good -
- Anoop (8/5): Standard quality stay for a 3 star hotel- slightly overpriced compared to similar options - Location was close to an autorickshaw stand, with nominal costs charged by the auto people. Neat and tidy rooms. CCTV on the floor where we stayed. Breakfast is prepared by the staff of the hotel on the top of the building. Standard quality only, not bad. Toiletries were not supplied at the time of check-in. But later it was provided on request. Telephone was not working for contacting reception- later they gave their mobile number to make calls for needs. When going for breakfast during busy hours, some delay in getting food items (very few options).
- Sunil (5/5): Passable - Location was good with easy access to other facilities Food was terrible. The cost of the stay was high for he amenities and food provided
- Divakar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beatrix (8/5): Very good - Perfect location, excellent big breakfast, nice reception staff The Hotel Administration (not the hotel) Treebo Papillon Palace, sent in 2.5 days aprox 50 emails with payment links,
The payment links are NOT for foreigner, it is only for Indians, with indian account, Indian credit cards, or Indian Payment apps.
They CANCELED without authorization of booking.com my reservation.
Very annoying this administrating company who does the administrive work for the hotel.
There is NO Telephone number to be reached (also not the one in the website.
BED was very bad,
- Wasson (1/5): Not worth staying - Typical bad odour /smell emanating from the rooms. I could not stay even for one hour and had checked out in the first one hour of my checked-in. Paid Rs. Rs 3705/- while checking out and will never recommend such property. I moved to THE PEARL OCEAN Hotel located just next door. I wonder how did you recommend me for stay in such filthy TREEBO PAPPILON hotel . You should refund my payment of Rs 3705/- for your misdeed.

- Velappan (8/5): Satisfied - Breakfast okey. But, idli vada not available
- Swetha (2/5): Very poor -
- Shrikanth (10/5): - Very nice location and friendly staff
- Pradeep (10/5): Exceptional - The room was clean and quite spacious. There was always hot water available, though it wasn't needed since it's summer. Staff helpful and kind. Nothing of major consequence. But if there is a covered car park, it would be nice. It helps in summer.

GOOD BREAKFAST.
- Ajay (5/5): Passable - Hospitality Felt like conjusted rooms
- Leema (10/5): Exceptional - Staff, cleanliness
- Jelil (5/5): Passable -
- Naveen (7/5): Value for money - The location , value for money and friendly staff The breakfast could have more items but it was complementary.
The bath towels were smelly and stained.
- V (7/5): Good -
- Pritha (9/5): Superb - Breakfast spread can be better
- Bhatia (4/5): Below satisfactory - Location and breakfast Room ambience, facility for the money paid
- M (8/5): Amazing stay - The cleanliness, the rooms, the space everything. Its accessibility to all the visiting places is the best one. Middle aged receptionist uncle who was a little arrogant
- Dinesh (6/5): Pleasant - Location, spacious room, Tea maker, Lighting Bed too short.
They do not replenish consumables, even water bottle which is supposedly complimentary.
Sadly extra bedsheets provided had tears in them.
Water heater is too small, capacity wise. I had to take a break during my bath so I could get hot water. The lady receptionist was haughty. When I informed her of the heater, she said they provided the best.
- Rufus (8/5): Very good -
- Manjunath (8/5): Very good -
- Malavan (7/5): Okay to stay for an emergency break in travel - 1) Location of the Property 1) Stayed with family - Bedsheets was not neat and clean . Better not to offer complementary
2) Poor Breakfast service
- Sreekumar (1/5): Stay away from Treebo - We were scammed. Automated phone number never gets picked up. The first time ever since i started using your app, I got scammed. My 80 yr old parents, kids, and wife total of 6 were stranded without anywhere to go in the middle of the night. They overbooking the property, booking cancelled after we arrived the property. Booking.Com should verify the phone numbers before accepting the partners. Stay away from treebo... I will put an extremely negative review on Google review as well... i have travelled to almost 80 countries. you can't imagine how frustrating it is to get scammed in your own country. Poonja International was kind to accept us in the night. Booking.com agreed to help us to pay the difference in cost between treebo and Poonja. BTW property manager informed that it's not the first time he had experienced with treebo. They overbook and once guest arrives, they cancel and offer alternate property which is 15 km away from the earlier offered one. Manager at Pappilon was kind enough to get us a rickshaw to transfer us to poonja at 0100 hrs. He allowed us to have our dinner at the reception.
- Jessica (8/5): Thank you for our stay - Clean room
Fridge included
Large room
Staff very helpful and attentive Breakfast terrible. Looked like it had just been sitting there for 4 hours. Had to ask for more butter. The tables weren’t cleaned. The entire restaurant needs to be redone and air conditioning installed.

wifi password wasnt provided on arrival.
the same room was available at much cheaper price online.
- Babu (8/5): comfortable - Ok. Less variety
- Sathish (8/5): Very good -
- Vilas (9/5): Old school room size with great location! - Hotel located at best location. The places around hotel are in good radius which saves time and less tiring. The topography of Mangalore is added advantage to the hotel location. The breakfast is included in the rent, but they had no restaurant of their own. Hence, no tea/coffee and snack/food once the breakfast is over. Refreshment is game changer. Having said that I am staying at same hotel for my next visit to Mangalore.
- Vivek (3/5): Poor - Located in heart of city The net connection was very poor. My calls kept dropping and I has to vacate the property in 2 hours
- Sridhar (8/5): Good for solo traveller and family for short stay. - Met expectstions Check out process...
