• Rosario de Montserrat (8/5): - La limpieza y la ubicación del hotel son perfectas. Lo único que no nos gustó fue nuestra habitación que realmente era muy pequeña; definitivamente no es para dos personas y le hace falta muebles, como una silla, una mesita de noche, ganchos y percheros, además la ropa de cama es muy vieja. El desayuno es muy bueno y variado. Al final quedamos contentos porque los chicos de la recepción siempre fueron muy amables, así como el resto de los empleados. Sí nos volveríamos a alojar allí pero pediríamos una mejor habitación.

J'avais originellement réservé une chambre "économique", mais j'ai été upgrade à la catégorie au-dessus : la chambre était plus grande et parfaitement confortable. Le bâtiment est un peu vieux, mais cela ne nuit pas au séjour. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et varié, et on peut profiter dans la salle au 4e étage ou sur la terrasse donnant sur le Bosphore. Attention toutefois, il n'y a pas d'ascenseur.

Il doit y en avoir des meilleures mais pas la 304 ! Petit déjeuner bon et copieux, sauf le thé. Très bien situé, au coeur de la vieille ville et au calme.

Dans cette chambre trop petite, la lampe s'avère être trop longue et large, prenant déjà tout le volume disponible.

• Steven (10/5): Found my heart in Istanbul - We loved our stay at Asmali! First, upon arrival we were checked in early and upgraded to a beter room then we booked. Our room was spacious, quiet even though next to the road, very clean and comfortable. We had our room cleaned daily with fresh towels. And the breakfast! What a feast. Everyday was a delicious buffet! Cooked fresh and absolutely mouth watering. A good selection of coffee, teas and juices! The rooftop is spectacular with views on the blue mosque and sea. The location is wonderful and the staff marvellous. We will book here again on our return visit. Do not hesitate to stay here.

• Klara (9/5): Superb - We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect – right in the heart of the city, close to everything. The place was super clean, and the hosts provided us with lots of helpful information about what to see and do. The breakfast was also a highlight – big, self-service, and very good. Definitely recommend! The only small downside was the bed – it could be a bit more comfortable, and the double bed was a bit small (130x190). But overall, a great stay and we’d happily come back!
• Antunes (8/5): Very good - The hotel is in a very central location, a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern. It's also very close to public transports and easy to reach by taxi. Breakfast is decent, wifi works and the staff is super helpful and friendly.

Sorry for not completing the check in experience early because I was warned that an early feedback can put me in trouble. Why you Expedia guys are so lame & duff & asking early experience in a different country where I could be in a very serious trouble. Please wait till I return to UK. Absolutely nonsence.

The hotel is centrally located for walking to many famous sites, such as the Blue Mosque is a 5-minute walk away, Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern are about a 10-minute walk away, and the Grand Bazaar is about a 20-minute walk away. We would definitely stay there again.

• Catherine (8/5): Excellent hotel for its fair price in a great location - Hotel in a very nice neighborhood walking distance to historic Sultanahmet, view of the Bosphore at breakfast on its terrace, the plus is the friendliness of the host, we mentioned to him our shower head had given up and he had it fixed right that day, it was a breeze booking and staying there, on our request we had a safe shuttle at our departure to the airport. Recommended!

The location couldn't have been better—just a short walk from all the main attractions I wanted to see, which made exploring the city incredibly convenient. They helped me arrange a taxi to the airport with no hassle, and what truly stood out was their kindness when I accidentally left behind some souvenirs I had purchased for my family. To my surprise and gratitude, they managed to mail them to my next hotel in Turkey. That level of service is rare and truly appreciated. Each morning, the breakfast was an absolute delight—more like a daily feast—with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. It was the perfect way to start the day. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul. The warm, helpful staff and excellent location made it a memorable stay. They did amazing!

• Danyal (4/5): Great staff, shame about the rooms. - What can i say ? I'll start with the positives first. The staff at the hotel are great and always there to help, quite a good location to visit the blue mosque and grand bazaar and other local tourist sites. The negatives no lifts so if you are elderly or have problems walking up the stairs stay away. I had room 303 with a broken toilet seat and a faulty flush. Beds are ok but not very comfy. Pillow cases were stained, lamp shade partially broken. There are currently road works outside the property and the entrance to the hotel is not great or safe to use. The breakfast is simple and ok. As for eating out around the hotel a few restaurants offer the same food with average 800 liras + drinks. For some reason i have pics but its not letting me upload the.

The neighbourhood is relatively quiet for Istanbul and very convenient for public transport like taxi and tram. The breakfast is served on the top floor or on the terrace which was really nice on sunny mornings as it had a great view of local attractions. The bedding and linen were basic but clean, and considering the price to be expected.

The bathroom is clean, the breakfast is delicious, and the staff was friendly manner However, it's not suitable for bringing heavy travel baggage (preferred for backpacking) as there's no elevator and the stairs is not spacious. The bed was not soft (likely a board)

Both receptionist were accomodating and always happy to make our stay comfortable. They guided us with our daily trip to visit places. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia is around 7 mins walk from hotel. The Grand bazaar is around 20 mins walk. Breakfast was served on top floor, with great view, be mindful there is no lift but we were fine climbing stairs. We will love to revisit Asmali hotel again. We enjoyed our stay.

Even GPS of limited use due to one way streets in the area. No lift in main building and strange floor/room numbering in annex with lift.

Oda aşırı derecede rutubet kokuyordu, yataktan ses geliyordu ve konforlu değildi, duşa ikili sabunluk içine sözde duş jeli ve şampuan koymuşlar ama duş jelinin kokusu daha çok bulaşık detarjanına şampuanın kokusu sıvı el sabununu andırıyordu. Kesinlikle bir daha tercih etmeyeceğim.

• Heather (10/5): - We had great service from the staff. They arranged a 4am airport taxi for us, and walked us to the taxi with an umbrella, as it was pouring rain. The area was quieter than some other parts of Istanbul, which was a welcome reprieve.
• Tuba (8/5): - Unser Aufenthalt war insgesamt sehr schön. Ich war mit meiner Mutter dort, und uns hat besonders die Umgebung gefallen. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar. Allerdings ist das Hotel für ältere Menschen nicht ideal, da man viele Treppen steigen muss, um zum Frühstück oder auf die Terrasse zu gelangen. Ansonsten war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut in Ordnung.
• John (7/5): Good - Excellent location. Friendly staff. Inclusive breakfast was good. Room was quiet with functioning as Features are a little tired with flaking pain, problem cables wrapped in tape etc, but all essentials provided and appropriate to the amount I paid.
• Mehmet (10/5): - The hotel is located only about six minutes walking distance to Sultanahmet Square. It has a wonderful breakfast buffet which is included in the room rate. The variety of the offerings was pleasantly surprising and super tasty. Also you can enjoy your breakfast on the terrace with the views of Sultanahmet Mosque on one side and Bosphorus on the other. The reception personnel was very helpful with our questions. The hotel is about 10 mins walking distance to the tram line through which you can reach to Eminonu (where spice bazaar / Egyptian Bazaar is) and Sirkeci district from which one can transfer to the ferry lines. Also the hotel is about 20 mins walking distance to the Grand Bazaar. When considering the price/value proposition, proximity to the attractions, well over average breakfast offering and to die for view of the terrace make this hotel a no brainer choice for us.

• Kristina (10/5): Прекрасный отель - Замечательный отель по ОЧЕНЬ привлекательной цене в центе города, район Султанахмет, рядом с остановкой трамвая Т1. В 900 метрах от Топ Капы. Приятный и чистый! Мы жили в 402 номере(в сентябре 2024 г) номер с балконом, на трех человек, Придраться просто не к чему. Персонал очень вежливый. Очень вкусные завтраки (шведский стол), гораздо вкуснее, чем в ресторане. Завтракать можно на террасе (на крыше) с видом на Босфор! Безопасный район, мы возвращались поздним вечером и нисколько не было страшно. Персонал на кухне и горничные русскоговорящие. В номере кондиционер , чайник и холодильник, чаи, кофе, сахар. В душе было все необходимое, главное, очень-преочень чисто, как впрочем и во всем номере, белоснежные белье и полотенца. Впредь будем останавливаться только в этом отеле ! Рекомендуем!

• Jorge A (10/5): - I was there with my wife, personel were kindness. All main atractives of Sultanhmet were very close. It has a terrace with a beautiful view. It is a convenient and confortable place to stay in.

• Adam (10/5): - In the heart of the best part of Istanbul, the Sultanahmet. All the tourist attractions, restaurants and markets are in this area. All walking distance and we never once needed public transport. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A good bargain price hotel.
• Jenny (8/5): - The hotel is in a very convenient location to Sophia Hagia/ Blue Mosque; we walked almost everywhere and occasionally took the tram to get to other places. The hotel itself seems older, but the staff we met at the front desk—Cafer, Beshir, Atam (not sure if I spelled their names correctly) were so friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was very nice with lots of healthy options. We loved our time in Istanbul!

• Asma (4/5): - The property is in poor condition, Very dated, no elevator, not enough room for luggage, mold growing in the sink. But the people working there made up for it. The staff is helpful, caring, kind and very professional.
• Stefanel (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic location! Close to attractions in old city Sultanahmet, great nigh life and host is very helpful. They provided parking space which is great for someone coming by car. It was safe and the they made the stay very enjoyable. Breakfast is good and when we left (very early) - as we had to drive a long way - they offered some sandwiches for us. WIll return if will have the chance. Thanks
