• Herman (7/5): Kan beter - De Lokatie Slecht stof gezogen! Stof op vele plinten. Schuifdeur bij wc geeft matige privacy. Boxspring zag er viezig uit aan de zijkant, links Boven buren/ gast hoor je lopen. Geen betonvloer?

Kamer was ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien: klein keukentje, koelkast, glazen, wasbak etc. De douche liep helemaal over, waardoor de badkamer kletsnet was. Je kon er daardoor niet meer staan. Verder waren de kamers erg gehorig. Geen personeel aanwezig, alles gaat via app en messenger van Booking.
• Julie (7/5): Logement pratique au cœur du centre historique - L'emplacement est top, au cœur du centre historique. L'accès au logement est facile et la communication est fluide. Le logement en lui-même est bien conçu dans son aménagement. La literie est à revoir, les draps ne sont plus très blancs et même si ils sont propres, il y a des tâches dessus. L'équipement du coin cuisine est disparate : verres, couverts. Il n'y avait plus de sucre ni de thé. Les logements entre eux sont assez mal insonorisés.

• Brigitte (8/5): Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt - Die Lage des B&B ist perfekt, zu Fuß 400 m zum Groote Markt. Wir haben sehr viel von Antwerpen gesehen, da wir mit Fahrrädern unterwegs waren, was sich für Antwerpen sehr gut anbietet, exellente Radwege. Wir haben im P&R Luchtbal geparkt und sind dann mit den Rädern zur Unterkunft gefahren. Haben vorher aber unser Gepäck im B&B abgeladen. Es hat alles reibungslos geklappt. Achtung: man braucht für PKW eine Registrierung, um in die Innenstadt fahren zu können. Die Zimmer befinden sich in einem Innenhof, also sehr ruhig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

• Alina (4/5): Schwer es zusammenzufassen - Wir hatten das oberste Zimmer. Die Lage war super. Süße Cafés direkt vor der Tür. Die Innenstadt war gut zu Fuß oder mit der Bahn zu erreichen. Der Vermieter war steht’s freundlich, auch wenn wir ihn nicht persönlich getroffen haben. Das Bett war bequem. Es gab süße Postkarten im Zimmer zum mitnehmen. Das Apartment war problemlos mit einem Code, welchen man per Mail bekommen hat begehbar. Ich fand die Website echt süss, mit Tipps zum frühstücken / parken und besichtigen. Es gab auch Fahrräder zu mieten, bei Bedarf. Warmes Wasser hat auch problemlos funktioniert. Geschmackvolle Einrichtung. An den Treppen gab es kein Geländer. Die steilen Treppen sind für eine schwangere vielleicht etwas gefährlich. Kein Vorhang vor der Eingangstür. Parken war im Umkreis sehr teuer , haben uns für ein weiter entferntes P+R entschieden und sind mit der Bahn wieder zurück. Das Zimmer war trotz Heizung wirklich kalt , haben im Pijama geschlafen.Der Boden war leider eisig. Bei Ankunft bin ich duschen gegangen und habe leider festgestellt, dass die Dusche total schlimm an den Fugen verschimmelt war und auch nicht gut gereinigt war. Für den Zustand des Waschbeckens habe ich keine Worte.. nicht gereinigt, am Ablaufventil waren Haare vom Vormieter und nicht gerade wenige ..das geht wirklich garnicht! Am nächsten Morgen haben wir festgestellt, dass es total verstaubt im Zimmer ist. Vor allem hinter dem Fernseher war schon Staub der sich definitiv wochenlang angesammelt hat.Spinnennetze überall..Als wir uns einen Kaffee machen wollten, war auch noch altes Wasser drin. Schlimm jedoch war, dass in der Abtropfschale bunter Schimmel war! 😭 Da ist uns der Appetit auf einen Kaffee vergangen. Im großen und ganzen ist uns wirklich die Lust auf den Aufenthalt und Intimität in dem Zimmer vergangen , obwohl wir uns gerade frisch verlobt haben..Wir haben dem Vermieter Bescheid gegeben, der sich aufrichtig bei uns entschuldigt hat. Uns gesagt hat , es würde nochmal jemand kommen, der unser Zimmer säubert bei Möglichkeit. Leider kam niemand , darüber hätte ich mich gefreut gehabt. Uns wurde versichert, dass das Zimmer schon länger nicht vermietet wurde und deshalb sei es wohl nicht gründlich gereinigt worden. Es soll in Zukunft nicht mehr vorkommen. Da ich sowohl gegen Staub als auch gegen Schimmel allergisch bin, fand ich das ganze wirklich nicht witzig. Sie können froh sein, dass ich Ihnen Fotos von dem Anblick erspart habe… Wir haben auch einen Preisnachlass bekommen, auch für einen möglichen Aufenthalt in Zukunft.
• Rene (10/5): Zeer goede B&B waar we zeker weten weer terugkomen en vrienden dit zullen aanbieden. - Dat alles lekker dichtbij was voor ons. Veel op loop afstand precies zoals we gedacht hadden. B&B was ook zeer mooi en naar behoren precies zoals de foto’s omschreven. Als we een app stuurde naar Stefan kregen we binnen 5 minuten een reactie. Kortom zeer goede service en volgend jaar komen wij zeker weten terug Stefan.

• Sabine (10/5): Antwerpen ist eine interessante Stadt, auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert - Sie liegt super zentral, ob zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad. Das Zimmer ist klein aber fein. Alles notwendige vorhanden. Duschgel Shampoo, Geschirrtuch und Kaffeetabs. Die Matratzen sind sehr bequem. Wir würden die Unterkunft wieder nehmen.

• Alex (8/5): Great choice for a short-stay in Antwerp! - Located in a quasi-central spot of central Antwerp this hotel features a small number of rooms away from the street, beyond an interior courtyard. It’s nicely decorated, each room is themed around an aspect of the city’s history. Comfortable beds and good heating. Shower it petite but has good water pressure. The lighting is also very agreeable. A kitchenette offers a range of option including Nespresso, with a well-stocked array of capsules. Two doors down there’s a super breakfast spot, Tinsel, which fills up in the morning for their great breakfast menu. Stefan was our contact via WhatsApp and very responsive and allround kind in interactions. I would probably come back here on a future trip. The room was one floor up with a see-through staircase leading up to the door. Once at the door, a second staircase led up to the room. Those stairs are not for everyone. The lack of railings feels uncomfortable. For space efficiently the toilet en bathrooms have sliding doors - they don’t close all that effectively so privacy can be a bit of an issue to some.

• D (8/5): Leuk en centraal gelegen appartement in MAS-stijl, doch erg gehorig. - Voorzieningen dichtbij, op loopafstand van bezienswaardigheden. Leuk ingericht. Koffie- en theefaciliteiten. Kleine attentie in de vorm van snoepjes. Fijn ook dat er ruim voldoende handdoeken waren. Het appartement was echt MEGA gehorig. Boven ons was ook een appartement. De gasten aldaar vonden het nodig om op zondagochtend om 4:00 uur eens flink rond te stampen. Flinterdunne plafonds.

• Irisreist (8/5): Leuke locatie en prettige kamer - Prettige ruimte van alle gemakken voorzien. Fijn dat er een klein keukentje bij zit en dat je op het terras voor je kamer kunt zitten. Gelegen op een leuk pleintje in een leuke wijk dichtbij het oude centrum. Makkelijk geregeld en snel contact met de host, werkt handig met in- en uitchecken en bagage achterlaten. Prijs/kwaliteit dik in orde. Ik onthoud 'm voor een volgend nachtje Antwerpen. Ligt niet aan de b&b, maar omdat je in het centrum zit is parkeren wat lastiger, of je parkeert bij een P+R en reist nog 20 minuten met het ov (wat ook prima te doen is).

• Erol (9/5): I liked it - Was sent an abundance of useful Information before I arrived in terms of places and recommendations etc. Even though I did not need any assistance it was good to know the host was available if I did needed them. The location was perfect for me and the room was great also to my surprise had a very nice size LG tv not some tiny cheap thing on the wall and probably one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in a long time. The front door is glass and not covered so can be seen through, made me a little uneasy at first but I got used to it and this small detail does not diminish the good stuff about staying here its all down to how the individual feels about it.

• Anna (10/5): A cosy place to stay in a lovely area. - The De Koninck room we stayed in is very well equipped with everything you might need for a short stay and it’s got a convenient layout. The property has got an additional coded gate to inner courtyard which strengthened the feeling of security. The room is of modern design and well refurbished, and the location is perfect for exploring the historic city centre, museums etc. Just be aware that the bathroom and toilet are accessed from the main room with sliding doors so this is for people who are comfortable with each other:) But it’s a great value for money. The communication with the host was smooth and fast, we really enjoyed our stay in this place! It wasn’t a problem for us but be aware that if you stay on the first or second floor there’s no lift and the stairs are quite steep, so probably not suitable for people with reduced mobility. But it didn’t affect us, as we had a great stay and would definitely choose to stay there again.

Es müsste mal gründlicher geputzt werden- Spinnweben und Staub in den Ecken. Einige Ecken könnten auch einen neuen Anstrich gebrauchen.

• Peter (9/5): - Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr günstig, um die Stadt kennenzulernen. Ich bekam quasi als Upgrade das Erdgeschoss. Klein, praktisch eingerichtet und so wie beschrieben. Kochen muss man in Antwerpen ja nicht unbedingt selbst. Stefan klärt Probleme schnell, wenn sie auftreten.
• Marion (6/5): Luggage storage not accessible= day ruined - The B&B in itself is average/basic compared to what I have previously experienced in Belgium. However, the problem arose upon leaving the place. a) the departure time from the room was supposedly 11 AM, but the cleaner turned up at 10 AM, so I had to leave the room one hour earlier than planned. b) I wanted to store my luggage to walk around more freely, but the access information of the luggage storage were incorrect, and I could not access it. I messaged the owner twice, called three times, the cleaner called as well, he never answered. So I had to take my luggage with me which has significantly hindered my activities for the day and basically ruined my day. Looks like the owner didn't care about his guests and also his staff, as he didn't even respond to his cleaner. When you manage a place like this, you have to be responsive and be able to assist the guests, when needed. The bare minimum would also be to be able to have the room until the time mentioned on the booking, and not be forced to leave one hour earlier. Definitely not helpful and not recommended.

• Iuliia (3/5): It was our first and definitely last time here - Great location, very central but yet not crowded Close to restaurants, bars, shops Well, where to start? Super dirty. Bathroom: orange stains, mold everywhere, hair, they did not even bother to polish the taps and shower head. Dirty soap dispensers (and yes, soap quality is horrible, the cheapest you can get probably ). Literally layers of dust on the towel dryer (radiator), dirty and sticky hair dryer, sticky light switch with layers of dirt that was not cleaned for years Towels are washed off and became thin and grey over years that once used be white (and I guess fluffy). Was disgusting to rub myself with it. Room: pillows and the blanket were stinky. When you lay your head down, it’s impossible to breath because of the smell. We changed the pillow covers, it helped a bit but the smell did not fully disappear. So I tried to fall asleep asap to not smell this anymore. Dust everywhere. You can see it directly. “Shelf” on top of the bed was covered in dust, same for corners, radiators, plints and stairs were dirty with a spider web in between. I’m allergic to dust so this space triggered a horrible allergic reaction, it was just difficult to breathe there. Brown curtains were covered with light stains. Kitchen: well, good that they have all the basics like coffee, tea, cups and plates. But again, it’s dirty: sink (orange stains and dirty drain), Coffee machine and the kettle were covered in layers of dirt that was sticky. I would never drink coffee or tea there. Tv and AC remotes were oily and sort of sticky too (when you take them with your hands, you get something oily on your hands, disgusting) . During the night, it was impossible to sleep because of mosquitoes. I understand that the property is not responsible for mosquitoes but at least they could have provided a special machine against them instead of hundreds of other useless items lying around in the room. Overall, we had a horrible stay, we barely slept, it was super uncomfortable and I was disgusted to touch things because anything you touch is dirty.

There were plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants within a few minutes' walk. Stefan had left helpful information in the room. Tram stop close by which enabled us to connect to central train station.

The theme of the room is MAS and all the books about it were a nice touch. I am also an amateur post card collector and the room had post cards you could take, i loved that. The fridge was kind of dirty and the floor was extremely cold, some slippers would have been nice:(.

We had breakfast at the corner which was ideal (only risk of it being full). Less than 10 minutes walking from the centre. We read somewhere (a review?) about a parking around the corner, but it has become a private parking. This should be removed. And there was no milk for the coffee.

I like the fact that the toilet and the bathroom were separated from each other and you had your "private moment". Also, the neighborhood was quiet, and no one and nothing disturbed us. • Lenard (9/5): Safe, clean, convenient location. The host - Stefan was outstanding. Very attentive and helpful. - There was no breakfast option with the room. I think there was something that would have been a surcharge and I never bothered to get breakfast. Stairs. No elevators and it should be noted because it makes a difference carrying heavy luggage up and down steep stairs. I have a hip condition that made it difficult without an elevator. But, other than that, it's fine and it's probably my personal feeling about it and not a fair assessment of the property. I would recommend adding some pictures of the outside so people know what the building looks like.

• Stefanie (1/5): Very dirty room in noisy location - This is a very small and very dirty room in a very noisy location. I should have read the reviews of others more carefully before booking - they made plenty of references to how the place has not been cleaned properly in a long time. This, and the fact that you cannot get a decent night's sleep because of noise from the square and the neighbours, really spoiled my visit to Antwerp. There must be better places to stay for that money.

• Nicholas (10/5): - Unit is self contained so no contact required with owners/staff. I received instructions the day we arrived on how to access the room as we were going to arrive after 8pm, so not sure if we had arrived earlier if that would have been different. We didn’t order breakfast but I understand it arrives by basket and is left outside. Nice room/apartment set back from Sint Paulusplaats. Easy to find from Antwerpen Centraal Station. We took trams 10 and 7 with a change at Nationale Bank. Close to bars and restaurants, and close to the waterfront. Nice little apartment for a short break.
