- Clifford (10/5): affordable luxury! - After staying at a riad in Marrakesh, we spent a night in Casablanca at this hotel... what a difference! it was like stepping out of the past into modern luxury, an unbelievably spacious, well appointed suite with a full kitchenette. Super friendly and helpful staff. only quibble was that while there's a nespresso in the room (yay!), you get exactly one capsule, even though we were two, and another capsule costs 2.5 euros (boo!)!

- Roland George (10/5): - We were looking for a good hotel with spacious rooms and close to the city centre. This is exactly what Down Town hotel provided. We were two single adults and one slept in a very comfortable double bed and one on the sofa bed - both of which were very comfortable. There was a telly in the bedroom and kitchen living area which was sometimes useful. Would go again. Breakfast was extra at 10 Dirhams per person and was a mixture of hot and cold local dishes/produce to set us up for a day of exploring Casablanca. It would have been good if there had been some tourist information available at reception but we weren't short of places to explore.

We had a full kitchen, a living room with balcony and a large bedroom/bed. The area is walkable and felt very safe. Highly recommend, especially for the price!

- Jiawei (2/5): - I booked two rooms (1 night) both with 1 King-Bed 1 Double-Sofa-Bed, the total room fee is CAD 265. I booked the two rooms both under my name, so two rooms are under two persons. The hotel staff request me to pay additional fee for the other 3 persons (altoghter 5 persons) and will upgrade the rooms for free, which I think is reasonable. However the additional cost is even nearly CAD 70 and no upgrading at all. The amount of CAD 70 is absolutely unreasonable.

According to the Expedia description, the hotel has on site laundry, which is not the case. The laundry service offered was very expensive and had a three-day return which is not ideal for those traveling light.

You cannot beat the location - central to everything Casablanca has to offer and many of the cafes and restaurants around stay open till 11 pm. The staff were friendly outstanding and ready to assist. There are not any amenities at the hotel itself, but the are building a restaurant on-site and they are close to everything. Will stay here with no hesitation.

When I was trying to check in at the time Expedia suggested, 1 pm, the reception told me the check in is at 2 pm because all rooms are full. At check in, the first question reception asked me was "coronavirus?". Im not sure if this was a joke, but I definitely didn't feel welcome.
