• Amy (10/5): - This was our second stay and we had the Bayview room for the 2nd time. We love this property because it is private and quiet. The room is very clean, they provide a breakfast bag each morning and coffee. There is a small fridge in the room, comfy bed, plenty of hot water and we love the hot tub. We did the 2 hour spa service and was a little disappointed that some of the options were not available this time but it was a great experience.

• MHT2614 (10/5): Beautiful View, Sweet Accommodations - First off, Homer does NOT have a quaint little downtown to walk around etc. So many folks walk around The Spit which has a multitude of small shops and restaurants that appeal to cruise ship folks and people with kids. One can opt to stay down there but it's rather industrial as well. I visited during the Shoulder Season so it was empty. Meanwhile on Ocean Drive Loop, there is the quaint Homer Inn & Spa. At first glance, it might catch you off-guard. It's self check-in. You walk into a 'lobby' entrance that has a cute kitchen and gift shop. You are given a map of the place so you will know your room AND a code for the lock on that room. The views of the Cook Inlet are incredible and the mountain range is epic. The hot tubs have great views as well. You will 'schedule' a time for privacy. The rooms are well-appointed, perhaps over appointed with decor but everything is there from a cork screw, wine glasses, cocktail glasses, a coffee maker, microwave, etc. If you don't see it in your room, it's downstairs in the kitchen. They also provide a nice little breakfast 'bag'. Chobani yogurt (yes, high protein, low sugar) with some granola, fruit and a muffin. Again, no staff is there so YOYO but easy enough. If you want to purchase anything, it's on the honor system. The place is immaculate. While Homer is not really walkable one can find good restaurants and shops nearby. We checked out The Kannery for dinner and it also has a great view and excellent food. Not sure I'd bring young children here but otherwise fantastic.
• Sarah (8/5): - Absolutely LOVED staying here it was lovely and very comfortable. It was perfect for a little weekend getaway. I would say the only thing we were a little bummed about is in the listing of room amenities for our specific room it says along with our tub that there was a private indoor hot tub. But the hot tub was actually outside and needed to be reserved for a specific time. Which was hard with our schedule. Just thought it maybe could be worded differently in what comes with the room. All in all though we really had a great time here and would definitely come again!
• 839lauriez (10/5): So peaceful…and that view!!! - Such a beautiful place to spend a few relaxing days. The location couldn’t be better, with drop dead views including a panorama of ocean, mountains, and a view of the spit. Bring binoculars to watch sea birds, eagles, and otters right from your porch. The hot tub on the deck is an amazing place to soak and watch the sunset (or sunrise!). The spa is so fun…we especially loved the dry sauna and the cold plunge pool and took full advantage of that during our thermal spa session. The staff are great about communicating through text, but generally staying out of your way so you feel like you have a private experience. I loved everything about my stay here, and look forward to coming back!!

The staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was quiet and well equipped. We had everything we needed. Having a hot tub right outside our door was the icing on the cake.

• hannahsf11 (10/5): Best Stay! - I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Homer Inn and Spa. I came here with my boyfriend and another couple. Both of our rooms were incredibly comfortable and had gorgeous views. Along with the rooms, the amenities were wonderful. We took advantage and booked the Thermal Spa experience and it exceeded our expectations. I'd highly recommend doing this with your group if you stay here! The spa attendant, Lacie, was knowledgable about the experience and brought us water and tea. Another day, a friend and I rented the e-bikes and Layla did a great job in setting us up and giving us recommendations of where to go. These were so fun! Chelsea was also extremely tentative and responsive if I had any questions via text. She gave us some wonderful restaurant recommendations (you MUST go to Fresh Catch) and was very helpful during the entirety of our stay. I'm hoping to come back to Homer simply to stay at this place again.
• Gene (6/5): - The photo in their ad for the property shows a large hot tub on the deck overlooking the bay and the mountains. Very nice so I booked it for two nights at $445 per night which is probably the most expensive place to stay in Homer. We checked in and were informed that you have to reserve the hot tub, and there is an additional charge to use it. That is absurd. The coffee in the room is Instant Coffee, but they do have real coffee in the lobby at no charge. Overall way too expensive for what you get.
• Vipool (8/5): It was a great location - Great water and Mountain views from deck. Comfortable bed No hot water in shower the second day. It was warm at night but they didn’t have a window to open so we had to leave the door to the outside open.

• Vacation68368453953 (10/5): The view!! - I booked this beautiful place (Alpenglow Room) for the view and was not disappointed!! The room was lovely and had everything I needed. Location was perfect, so close to the Spit and the rest of town. The bed is hands down the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Staff were friendly and helpful and although I didn’t use any of the spa facilities, I saw others enjoying them and being well looked after by the staff. I sat out on the main deck one evening and the others on my own private balcony, enjoying a wine. So peaceful and could look at that view forever!

Very helpful in setting up activities (highly recommend Beluga Air for a flightseeing trip!) The Lux suite had plenty of room, a great jetted tub and large shower, was beautifully laid out and had nice amenities (plates and bowls, silverware, nice cups and wine glasses, microwave, mini-fridge, etc.) The giant king bed was fully adjustable and very comfortable with really nice sheets. Spa is right outside the sliding door but curtains provide plenty of privacy and nice view of the bay when you want. All in all, a great experience for our 25th anniversary and would highly recommend to others!

• 56rendak (10/5): Spectacular location, looking right over the water. - Watch Eagles fly over the water be love you. Sit in the sauna, the hot tub and a hot relaxation room. Your room looks over beautiful Kachemak bay. we especially appreciated the bottle of wine in the room, Pinot Grigio. Loved all of the wonderful little touches in the room with almost unlimited towels. Our huge king size bed looked right out a large window looking over Kachemak bay. Comfy robes and slippers to wander around the spa. Sitting in the hot tub with snow falling is a special experience. Wonderful place to relax with great care.
• FlybyGamer (10/5): Truly Unique R&R/Getaway Experience - My Wife and I decided to stay local for our romantic getaway this year and we were not disappointed! Amanda and Danae made our stay truly magical and made sure that we were well taken care of. Staff was not only very attentive to our needs but very fun to talk to and learn more about things to do in Homer. We purchased a Romantic package for 5 nights that included breakfast for 2 for 3 days, thermal spa time, massage chair and red light time, and Ocean Therapy Spa. Let me tell you that the Ocean therapy spa with the sauna, cold plunge, hot tub and Solar Tepidarium with relaxation loungers was an absolute blast! This has been a stressful last 3 years not being able to get away as a couple and that portion of the stay alone melted off all 3 years and more of stress that we were carrying. Relaxing in the chairs in the Solar Tepidarium was a romantic experience in itself sitting in the chairs gazing out over the sea, mountains and glaciers in the distance. The provided charcuterie board was just the right pick me up after sauna, cold plunge and then hot tub about 3-4 times. Danae brought in our robes for us and truly made the experience a memorable one. Amanda mentioned a date night add-on later that night and we promptly signed up for it! Sitting in this clear romantic little yurt with an electric fireplace, super comfy lounge chairs, warm velvety blankets and a dessert charcuterie board was next level. They even provided a special surprise that was not only a blast to do together but also helped rekindle the flame in our relationship and brought the us back that had been on the back burner for so long. We stayed in the Lux room during our stay and it was very cozy and comfortable. The bed had several different functions to adjust for your sleep styles, a vibrate setting and very warm comfortable bedding. When we arrived they had a special display of towels standing in a heart next to a bottle of wine and delish lemon chocolates. The fireplace in the room heats up the entire room in no time for complete comfort. We utilized the tea kettle for tea provided (which was delicious) and teas we purchased in town. The shower and jetted tub were also absolutely awesome. If you need a fun and romantic getaway to relax this is it! 10/10 for the stay and staff!

• autumns639 (10/5): Hidden gem in Homer Alaska - The best hidden gem in Homer! Staying at the Homer Inn and Spa was the most relaxing experience you could ask for. Sitting in our private hot tub overlooking the water, mountains, and glaciers was unforgettable. The sound and view of the waves crashing reminded me of the oceans in California. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

• R6802HPcristinad (10/5): Cozy Beachside Cottage - This is a cozy, unique, small hotel/Inn that feels more like a B&B (though they do not serve breakfast). We stayed in the Bayview suite, which was beautifully decorated to feel like a beach cottage, complete with a fireplace which was very cozy during the cool and rainy days. The bathrooms had the nicest showers I've seen in a hotel in my recent memory. The room was full of small but useful details, including coffee/wine/water glasses, a refrigerator, multiple sets of towels (for bath and spa) and robes. I believe all or most rooms (including ours) have private hottubs which felt amazing at the ends of colder rainy autumn days. The owners were very helpful and checkin was easy. Having a car we felt that the location was convenient (fairly central to both the spit and the rest of town). We loved our stay and wish that it could have been longer.
• Mark (8/5): - There is a lot to love about this property. A ton of care has gone into designing the rooms. Mine had a faux fireplace, a state-of-the art shower, and some really cool lighting, plus a great bed and bedding and some other stylish touches. The semi-private patio and hot tub are the stuff of dreams and the shared patio overlooking the spectacular bay is just stunning. The only issue (and the only reason I didn't give five stars) is that the room is actually quite small. I was traveling alone and the weather was good (allowing lots of use of the outdoor spaces), so no problem, but even with a romantic partner, it would have been quite cramped. Even so, this is a special place and well worth staying at. I didn't use the spa services, but they looked really nice. This is a fun, interesting, and stylish place to stay. Highly recommended.

Spectacular view, relaxing, the Bayview Suite was private, especially liked the hot tub on our patio! The staff were informative, kind and very attentive. Definitely will be back!

There is no food service, nor is there food within walking distance. There is a coffee machine in the room plus some snacks and a bottle of wine.

From the private hot tub on the deck overlooking the ocean and mountains, to the daily chocolate delivery to our room, to the otters and seals right outside our window, to the incredible day spent at their gorgeous spa- it was the perfect place for us! Absolutely book “the works” at the spa. Shout out to the amazing managers who were helpful, friendly and went out of their way to be sure we had a perfect trip.

• 486alw (4/5): Mr. AL - We booked 3 nights about 10 weeks ahead and expected much more that we got from the property. The pics looked great (always do) and I did mistakenly assume something extra from the word "spa". I think we had the largest room at $500. per night. The place was clean as I have seen in several reviews but no daily room servicing (or bell service) unless you ask which I figured out mid afternoon the day after out first night. At the price we did not expect to be making our own bed. The covid plague was the reason given for no housekeeping. Also the outside area and deck (25' from our double glass door) was rented out for a wedding reception our first night so we did not crash the party or enjoy the outside. That glass door was secured with a bicycle type cable/padlock because "the locksmith had not been by". My dealings with onsight Mgr and phone call with the owner were pleasant as they could be given the situation. We were allowed to ck out a day early with no penalty.

• Sheppard (7/5): Wonderful hostess and view but very weird room - No breakfast so not rated View and outside environs spectacular The inside was clean but like a Dali/Picasso nightmare. No hooks or rack in bath, 25 SF shower stall but not even a soap dish or grab bar or towel hook. No shelves or hooks in main bath area, just an old fashioned lavatory and toilet. Bedroom had a mattress so soft you felt you were on a marshmallow, clear glass between bath and bed area so one had to close curtains for privacy. Floor had embedded stones in a sort of concrete so one had to be careful not to trip and very harsh on bare feet, Knikknacks everywhere with little personal storage either in drawers or tops. Quirky and different? Absolutely! Practical and comforatble? Absolutely, not!
• Scenic768552 (10/5): Don't go anywhere else! - We spent 6 nights here and wished it had been more. It was the perfect place to unwind at the very beginning of our three week trip. We had the most private room in the Inn and our own two-person hot tub with views of the incredible landscape. We loved that it was close to shopping (we felt 'The Spirit of Alaska' was the best place for authentic and beautiful native art) and restaurants (A.J.'s -make reservations) but it was perfectly tucked away and nestled in the natural experience we wanted in Alaska. We splurged and did 'The Works' spa treatment and found it to be a very different from our other spa visits, but truly one of the most unique and relaxing. They also offer to assist in scheduling a bear viewing tour with Sasquatch Alaska Adventures and it was one of the most memorable and special experiences we had- an absolute must do. Our stay at this lovely Inn was one of the best places we visited and we felt that the value exceeded the cost. We would definitely return and can't recommend it highly enough.
• Yardena (10/5): An Alaskan Gem - Spent two nights in the deluxe suite of this secluded oceanfront charmer and would heartily recommend it to anyone seeking an Alaska-flavored getaway with all the bells and whistles. The decor is rustic but the amenities (comfortable and adjustable king bed, huge jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower, two-sink bathroom with plush bathrobes, enclosed fireplaces, walk-in closet) are world class. Additional extras: a massage easy chair and a very friendly ginger tabby cat named after a Jane Austen character ( we love cats and miss ours when we travel). The spa at this time does not offer hands-on services, but on the wood deck there’s a solarium, a hot tub, a sauna, and a yurt with two different massage chairs and a funky O2 dispenser (which we tried—meh for the oxygen, but the chairs, one of which is the same as the one in our room, were fun). Don’t pay for the yurt unless two of you want massages at the same time. Speaking of paying, all snacks (chips and nuts, mainly) and beverages are included with the room, including a bottle of red wine which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. There’s even a coffee-maker, a fridge and a microwave for warming leftovers. Finally, the room’s sliding glass doors, a few feet in front of the bed, open straight to the deck facing the magnificent Kachemak Bay and mountains, with the Homer spit (with all its tourist attractions) off to the right. The view more than rivals the huge flat-screen TV (Roku included) for entertainment. The manager was friendly and discreet, ready to greet us and answer questions by text. We look forward to returning to this lovely, intimate and very cool inn.

• D7983SFmichaelv (10/5): Best vacation ever - Very nice place. Quiet and peaceful. Great view of ocean from deck. Not down on the beach, but up above it by over 12 feet. No access from resort, but it can be gotten to nearby. Not a deal breaker. Room is very spacious. Large bed with incredibly soft and comfortable sheets. Fake fireplace makes for nice soft nightlight. Unique floor is made up of wood pieces. Not perfectly even, but easy and comfortable to walk on barefoot. Took a bit to figure out the shower controls. Kind of like trying to crack open a safe. After the initial full body blast of cold water, warm water never changed and stayed consistent throughout shower. Kind of exciting to figure out the different shower head options. Fun to watch my wife try. Large bathroom very well laid out. Large mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, Tea pot in room Three remote controls in the room. 1 for TV,  1 for TV and DirecTV. 1 for the King size bed. A remote for the bed!! It was awesome! Message yurt was great. Well worth the money. Machine messages but excellent chairs. Back and feet feel incredible and relaxed. Highly recommend! Had a visit from hotel Kitty. Made herself at home.
• AdrienneV165 (2/5): DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS SPA - Let me begin by saying that the pictures don't even do this place justice- it's gorgeous! However, if the level of customer service is any indication of how clean this place likely is, I would run in the opposite direction. First of all, I called likely a dozen times at different times of the day to reach someone at the desk to make an appointment. After not being able to reach a human by phone EVER, I emailed. They scheduled my Thermal Trio via email and in the email it asks for payment, but there was no link or way to pay. Once again, I resorted to calling and after leaving three voicemails over the course of 5 days (I was afraid they'd give our time away), a woman finally returned my call and took my payment. I should have known better by this point, but I was so excited for a little R&R in Homer and I ignored all of the red flags. The night before my appointment I was staying over the bay in a very remote bear lodge. I saw bad weather coming and reached out to the Spa despite horrible phone service to let them know that probably would need to cancel and just ask them what to do. Of course, no one answered. The next morning when it was clear that my flight back to the Kenai peninsula was going to be cancelled due to weather, I called and emailed repeatedly and could not reach anyone. No one even responded to my emails or voicemails. When I finally did arrive to Homer, I went straight to the Homer Inn & Spa. As I entered the spa, no one was there except for guests in the hot tub. A young girl finally appeared and told me to speak to Marilyn over the phone- who was incredibly passive aggressive and rude. After explaining that we reached out repeatedly and missed our time slot due to inclement weather, she finally agreed after 10 minutes of pleas to refund us 50% (which was better than nothing). We asked if she could squeeze us in and she adamantly said no- Saturdays are saved for hotel guests and it wasn't worth it to her to keep someone overtime tonight. I asked if she received any of the 20+ calls, voicemails, and emails I sent to her and she said that she "does not check the emails." Well then who does? The stress, aggravation, frustration and inconvenience about this entire experience are NOT worth it.

The gravel road getting to the property was a little rough; made us think we were headed the wrong way. But a moose walked across the road in front of us, which was interesting. It was a beautiful room. We enjoyed the property's jacuzzi, too.

I booked the same (pet friendly) room that I had stayed in but when I arrived I was told it was being renovated & they would have to place me in an upgraded suite with an upcharge. The suite wasn’t as nice as the room I had booked but did have multiple beds shoved about (futon, single bed beside the futon, bunk beds) a weirdly renovated room. I recommend calling in advance to make sure the room you are renting on Expedia will be the one you are staying in to prevent any additional charges.

• Katherine (10/5): Wonderful 2-night stay! - This place is beautiful- we booked the King suite and it had sweeping views of the water and bay. Loved it! The amenities were lovely and the fire pit and hot tub were great! The hotel is about 5-7 minutes outside of the Homer Spit, close enough to the action but also far enough away to feel secluded and cozy. Would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Homer! :)

• Maya (10/5): Homer family get away - The pictures don't do this justice. We came to Homer for an athletic event and I wasn't sure how we would all fit in the space but it was roomy enough for us. We enjoyed the views, the hot tub, and the special treats. My only critique would be to give us enough treats for our party.

With touches like complementary house-made wine to the lovely artistic decor, this was the perfect way to end our trip to Alaska.

Complimentary glass of house wine was a plus upon arrival. My only recommendation is to add bathrobes in the rooms (for those who want to use the outdoor hottub).
