• Abdulfatah (8/5): My stay at the Consul Hotel - I arrived in to Tunis Carthage Airport at 00:30 am due to flight delays and I was worried about my check-in, but I sent a message to the hotel, and fair enough they were waiting for me as i arrived at the hotel, with a smooth check-in, the room and breakfast were very good.

• GONZALO (10/5): Si vuelvo a Túnez, volveremos a Le Consul. - Es un hotel a la antigüa usanza. De esos hoteles formales donde se intenta facilitar la vida del viajero. El chofer de Le Consul nos esperó pacientemente en el aeropuerto, y nos recibió a las dos y media de la madrugada con una sonrisa, sin importarle las dos horas de retraso del avión. También nos informaron sobre la forma óptima de moverse por Túnez, y nos facilitaron completamente el alquiler de un coche para movernos por el país. También hay un restaurante en el que la comida es sabrosa, rica y asequible. Por último, el personal es muy amable y diligente. Si volviera a Túnez de nuevo, volveré a poder alojarme en Le Consul.

• nefrete (10/5): Beautiful experience - My experience with Hotel La Consul was really amazing! The staff are incredibly friendly and are available at any hour of the day or night to help you. There is always security and people to answer questions which made me feel very taken care of. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was great with lots of options! The location is also perfect and is around cafes, restaurants and green spaces. I highly recommend this place! Thank you for hosting me

Das Taxi benötigte am Tage 15 min zum Airport Tunis.

Rooms are pleasant and spacious, good Wi-Fi, impeccable hot water, comfortable independent desk. More plugs though would not be amiss and the fixed hairdrier in the bathroom has very little power, it is not suited to long-hair needs.

Pas très loin du centre, et Parc zoologique et Monoprix accessible à pieds. Les - : Style un peu vieillot, pas très joli (mais bon on le savait car encore une fois conforme aux photos). Matelas un peu trop dur. Vue de la chambre sur rue pas très agréable. WC dans la salle de bain. Parking trop chaud, humide et malodorant. Certains membres du personnel pas très souriants. Lit bebe très vieux (repeint maintes fois).

• Verified traveler (4/5): - IF YOU ARE NOT OF ARABIC DESCENT, DO NOT BOOK HERE. While we enjoyed the wait staff, the authentic Tunisian breakfast, and had a friendly interaction with the hotel owner, we were very disappointed by this hotel! The concierge and security who grabs your taxis for you scammed us out of a lot of money by colluding with the taxi driver to not use the meter upon check out. We had even asked the hotel to send our family postcards and we were not given correct change. It has been weeks since and our family still has not received the mail. Beware of smiles because they have no good intentions. Only want to rob you of your money. The older gentlemen are honest and hard working. It is the younger aged ones you have to be aware of.

I was caught out by the timing of my visit as the air conditioning only works as a heater until the summer; my room was very warn when I arrived and I had to open the windows to cool it down. Helpful staff and good food at the restaurant.

The rooms are really quiet, the views are not that great but it is central to downtown Tunis. I stayed here 5 years ago and the hotel is still consistent in its overall quality and courteous staff
• Jay (10/5): Fantastic value for money in the heart of Tunis - The Hotel LeConsul is located in a downtown business area of Tunis. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful, speaking English, French and Arabic. The hotel is not to far away from the Tunis zoological [ark and gardens, a good area to go for a quiet walk or jog in the parkland settings. There are also a few local restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The rooms are quite spacious with good air conditioning. All of the external windows are double glazed, so the roos are very quiet and you get a good night's rest. The restaurant serves a good variety of meals, plenty to choose from. Breakfast will suit most people's needs, a modest selection.

The wi-if was not good in my room and I found another client complaining about it when I was complaining. The excuse was problem with the internet provider, which I do not think that they were telling the truth.
