- Jonathan (10/5): Super friendly and helpful reception staff. Lovely meal in the evening and a great breakfast. - Lovely location Nothing.
- Konstantinos (7/5): Good - nice central location a very helpful stuff. and the room was clean. I could hear the sound of the movie in the cinema.
but it was ok in general.
- Michael (6/5): friendly but a bit expensive - super friendly staff hotel would benefit from a makeover. a bit expensive for what it was as well.
- Tezcan (4/5): Disappointing -
- Alison (7/5): An old style hotel and lovely service. - The staff were thoughtful and charming and the breakfast was nice too.
- Fuetimate.com (10/5): Really nice staff - Really nice staff, big room, clean with towels and hair dryer, free parking spot. Good heating. Down town. Amazing restaurant Breakfast without hot options, for 10€ I think you can expect some sausages, bacon, omeletes, etc.
- Keith (9/5): Lovely stay, smashing hosts. - We had opted to stay in the area as it was en route between Oberammergau and Nuremberg, so quite random. It was a great choice as the family running it were lovely and really helpful. We opted for the breakfast which was great quality and very generous. The owner/manager gave us recommendations for the two days we were there, both of which were really good. We ate in the restaurant on one night and the food was excellent. Nothing
- Hjm1971 (10/5): We will come back some time! - Staff was wonderful, rooms were very nice, location is outstanding. Wemding is the perfect location for discovering the Nordlingen Ries and Altmuhltal. Both Solnhofen and Nordlingen, for instance, can be reached in less than 30 minutes by car. This was the primary reason for choosing Wemding, but the town itself exceeded expectations - very scenic, easy to find nice (and affordable!) restaurants. We also dined at the hotel restaurant, and that was very nice too. Breakfast was very nice, in a nice traditional setting. Rooms were nice, quite big, clean, and quiet (despite being above the little cinema), WIFI was very good. And the staff was absolutely wonderful, very friendly and helpful. We were traveling with our two adolescent boys, they had their own room, with separate beds. I requested this through Booking.com chat function and the positive response from the owner was very fast and friendly. In all an excellent experience.
- Steen (8/5): Super - Søde og imødekommende.
Dejlig by.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Muy buena atencion aunque las instalaciones un poco antiguas.
- Kno (10/5): - Freundlich, alles perfekt. Unterkunft sauber und gross. Waren mit Motorrad unterwegs, konnten Garage mitbenutzen. Abendessen gut in trotz Corona gemütlicher Atmosphäre.
- Rodrigo (10/5): Business trip to Wemding - Very nice and kind staff.
Room was very wide and clean.
- Arbalest789 (10/5): Outstanding Food - Very pleasant room in a quiet location.
The 2 things that stood out for me was the friendly helpfulness of the staff (especially a lady called Judith) and the superb quality of the food in the restaurant.
I had the tenderest Wiener Schnitzel I have ever eaten.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Angenehmer Aufenthalt - Guter Service und gutes Essen, aber renovierungsbedürftiges Haus
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Sehr persönlich und sehr freundlich, so dass man immer wieder gerne kommt.
- Bert (8/5): - Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.
- Guilherme (10/5): Ótima localização e funcionários prestativos. - Funcionários extremamente educados e solícitos. O Hotel fica bem no centro da cidade, em ótima localização.
- Chris (10/5): - Amazing hospitality- incredible food -nicest hosts!
- Verified traveler (10/5): A lovely and charming hotel off the Romantic Road - A lovely and charming hotel in a small town just off the Romantic Road. The staff were very attentive and helpful, and the room exceeded our expectations. We had a restful and relaxing stopover. The town itself is quiet and lovely to wander around, and thankfully lacking in tourists!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Charming hotel in traditional German setting. - A comfortable stay in a charming venue and a lovely traditional town.
- D6643MRdavidd (10/5): Loved the Hotel & staff. Great breakfast - We had a room in the older part of the Hotel, but the room was nicely renovated & everything was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were given tips on things to see in the area and very helpful directions as the main road in the direction we traveled was under construction. The hotel is in the center of the town and perfect for walkabouts. The town is lovely & picturesque with an area of modern shopping etc on the out skirts. A few designated parking spaces but parking was available on the street without restriction in most of the town. This was our home base for several days while visiting family in Treuchlingen & Dinkelsbuhl.
- ziniel (10/5): Akzent Hotel - My wife and I traveled The Romantic Road and couldn't find a hotel. Just a short distance off The Romantic Road we stumbled across this real gem of a hotel and Restaurant. We were greeted very graciously after a very long day. The staff had us smiling and laughing from the time we arrived until we left. A bed is only a bed, but when one travels overseas it is so nice to be welcomed at a hotel. We stayed in Germany and Austria for 10 days at motels ranging from 85 to 400 per night. Be assured, we felt this was by far the most accommodating. A definite positive experience. Please note that you may have to climb stairs to get to your room.
- Munter10 (6/5): Coldest Hotel I have Ever Stayed In - Recently stayed at this hotel.
No Parking available, restaurant not open on Monday evenings, but worst of all was the complete lack of adequate heating.
it was -7c outside and they waited until they showed me to the room before switching the radiator on. The heating was hidden behind a wooden panel so the room never warmed up. The bathroom had a plug in fan heater with timer switch , which looked almost dangerous near to the shower and sink.
Given the tiny single bed and wafer this duvet I hardly slept all night and had to put some clothes on in the night.
On the up side. Friendly staff, Nice clean hotel and lovely breakfast.
Will not be staying here again on my next business trip to Wemding.
- ViktoriaVovkanets (6/5): Very tiny room and bad too small - +Friendly and helpful stuff, good breakfast, location directly in the center of town.
- No parking space was avaliable, no clearly visible sign, hard to find hotel entrance, very small dark room with small bad, no WiFi connection at room, even acess was provided, price not compatible with reality.
- Kingamesaros (8/5): Right in the citycenter - I've stayed for 4 nights in this hotel. It is situated right in the city center of Wemding. Expect a very quiet city, but the main square is actually very pretty. We had some hastle booking with this hotel, but the owner was very nice in the end and he also offered a free place in the garage for the motorbike. The room was pretty big and overal it's a confortable hotel. Wifi was working fine. Everything was clean, but the shower was not working very well. We had the dinner included, the first night it was pretty good, but on the second we were expecting a bit more from a chef, rather than... french fries. We, as italians, prefer quality rather than quantity ;). But compared to the other places we have tried in Wemding, I can say it was a good dining experience. For sure you won't leave hungry from this place!
- Sparks2551 (10/5): Really worth a visit - We visited Wemding on business in 2010 and our supplier booked us into Meerfraeulein Hotel. The staff were very friendly and the room as clean and well presented. We asked our friendly host, Josef, where was the best place to eat? His response was 'We are the best restaurant!'. We are never comfortable with this type of response but felt that with our zero knowledge of the area we didn't really have much choice. He followed this bold statement up with a list of other taverns and places of interest we should visit in the lead up to dinner (some of which were also restaurants). We were so pleased we accepted Josef's recommendation! Our meal was so wonderful we can still recall it to this day (3 years later) and are very excited to say that next month we are heading back to the area and expressly staying the night so we can enjoy Josef's find cuisine again. Chateaubriand is the specialty of the house and we cannot wait to try it again.
- cruftydk (8/5): Freindly staff in an old place. - Friendly staff. Rooms are old but not 'worn out' and everything is functional and clean. Unfortunately only ate breakfast (which was good) there, but will try the restaurant there the next time as this apparantly is worth the travel! Possibility of parking bike/motorcycle etc. in locked garage which is accessible by room key at all hours - but note that motorcycle may not be ridden in town center after a certain hour (no reflection on hotel!) :-)
- DandGNorfolk (10/5): Lovely hotel near the Romantische strasse - We stayed in October 2011 and had a lovely large room, very clean, excellent layout and service. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The Chef, and I believe Wirt, is Joseph who has excellent English and is, to say good cook is an understatement. When we were there he had the conference of the Toques of South Germany (The toip chefs and I was speaking with one who had been the chef of a Park Lane, London hotel for 19 years) If he can handle that standard you see why we praise it. Very helpful, very kind people and we came away feeling that we had made some new friends. Cannot speak too highly.
- martaValparaiso (8/5): Good end to trip - My three friends and I stayed at Hotel Meerfraulein. The rooms
were large and comfortable. The food was good German
food and the chef and owner Joseph and all his staff were very
gracious. I was glad I took a side trip after my cruise to go to
the village where I was born 60 yrs ago. My friends thought it was
the highlight of the trip.Bavaria is a beautiful area.
