Guest Reviews
- Andrew (10/5): Awesome location - Great location, with. View of the Alhambra from terrace and very close to all the wonderful cafe and restaurants.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - We felt very welcome and comfortable. Great location near all places of interest. Owner spoke good English and was very helpful.
- Vivien (10/5): - We loved our stay here. The owners are lovely, and very helpful. An excellent breakfast in their cafe next door. Very well situated for everything.
- Thomas (10/5): - The room was clean, and had great blackout curtains. The folks working there were friendly with good service; provided us an extra pillow and called us a taxi. It was also convenient with their cafe next door for breakfast.
- Rashmi (6/5): - Decent place to stay if you have to be close to the Alhambra. It is clean, check-in is usually very early at 1:30 (we got there in the morning and there was a sweet older lady at the reception who said we could check in at 1). The room and bathroom was very clean and the bed was comfortable. With the windows closed and the fan running, it stayed very cool even in 80 F weather. I did not see the rooftop but I heard that the view was good.
The major downside, and perhaps this is mentioned in the description, is that it is not good for people with mobility issues. It is you a steep hill and there is no elevator. Going to the Alhambra from there is also not easy unless you are able bodied because no taxi will come up there. I was recovering from food poisoning and was very low in energy and it was pure hell getting around.
Also, the owner (?) of the hotel was not very pleasant. We were asked to not eat in our room, which was very strange, and very inconvenient while being sick. The room itself was very drab and looked a lot nicer in the listing photos.
- Yole (10/5): - Great stay in Granada, staff super friendly and convenient spot!
- Marsha (8/5): - Great location within a short walk to the Alhambra, shopping, restaurants and major sights. Good convenient cafe next door for breakfast, snacks
- Albert (8/5): - Very convenient for parking
- Cinzia (10/5): - The place is in the center of town, close to all the main attractions. The room was small but clean and comfortable. There is a fantastic terrace on the top from where you can admire the town and enjoy the evening or morning breeze. The place next door offers great breakfasts.
- Alison (8/5): - This property was quirky and old style Spanish Plenty of clean mismatched towels Very large bathroom Pretty balconette The perfect location to visit the Alhambra as it was just at the top of the street Staff super helpful
When we visited there was some decorative work going on but it didn’t affect our stay
Across the street there was some construction work going on which was noisy but unavoidable
- Charles (10/5): - The staff were delightful and very helpful during our stay. The Pensione is just far away from the busy plaza below and very close to the Alhambra. The next door restaurant was perfect for a light breakfast to start the day.
- jennifer (10/5): - Don't miss a chance to stay here! This is the most charming hotel right at the entrance to the Alhambra. The owners are super nice and helpful with tips on how to spend your time in Granada. Try to book a room on the 3rd floor and you'll have access to the terrace. It overlooks the city and has views of Alhambra.
- ANDRZEJ (8/5): - the pension is very good situated and quite comfortable
- Jacquie (8/5): - Very nice stay and fantastic location especially for the price. Staff (and Chico!!) were very nice. Only thing missing was a kettle but not sure this is something that would be provided in this kind of accommodation anyway. Highly recommend :)
- Rylie (10/5): - Great location
- Rachel (10/5): - Incredible location and helpful staff. Breakfast next door was amazing value. We were concerned with no AC but very comfortable at night.
- Cristina (10/5): - El personal fue super agradable e hicieron que tuviéramos una experiencia muy acojedora.
El sitio es precioso, incluido el jardín y la terraza.
La habitación estaba muy limpia.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely spot. Parking worked well with advance notice. Very close to Alhambra.
- Cheryl (10/5): - It was so very quaint and right in the heart of Granda so walkable to everything.
- Letty (10/5): - We liked the property just the shower was very small and slippery.
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional Old Style Accommodation - Really great experience. Owners bent over backwards for us. Great assistance and central to what we needed to do.
- Marie (10/5): - The owners of this pension were very friendly. The location is great for a visit to the Alhambra. Very nice rooftop terrace with view of the Alhambra.
- Dan (10/5): - The property is close to everything and highly recommended
- Thevi (10/5): An absolute charm! - Loved staying here. The owners are so wonderful - family owned. We had the 1 bedroom suite with private bathroom for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. Parking is also very convenient. If you are staying here and driving, it is okay to drive on the "authorized vehicles" only lanes. The place had beautiful terraces and it is close to everything. Highly recommend!
- Claudia (10/5): - Fabulous option in a budget conscious trip. Spacious room, delightly antique-style decor in all the building, wonderful views from terraces and gardened patios. Be aware that you will stay in a centuries old building, very well preserved and operated by their same owners. Great option to stay in Granada!!
- Eugene (10/5): - Conveniently located. Very nice staff.
- Saskia de (10/5): - Very welcome, perfect for a visit to Alhambra, quiet place to visit the buzzing center and a breakfast place next door!
- Jane (8/5): - We enjoyed our comfortable room and the lovely rooftop terrace. Very nice proprietors. Fantastic location just a short walk from the Alhambra grounds. The only downside was lack of wifi in our room (though plenty strong in the hallway). Other rooms may have better connectivity.
- Kosuke (10/5): - Excellent location If you are visiting Alhambra palace as it is right by the entrance of the palace. also lots of restaurants and shops for tourists available around.
You just need to aware that preregister is required to access with car as the parking is within restricted area. Hotel helps everything if you let them know you go with car.
Family runned, they are all extremely nice and helpful.
We also liked the terrace on top floor.
Excellent place to stay overall.
- Marty (8/5): - Very good lodging. Quiet area at night. Easy to walk to, but a challenge for other transportation.
- Stephen (10/5): - Great spot near the entrance to the AlHambra
- Anna K. (8/5): Up the Hill - Located in the old town area close to several plazas. The hotel is up a steep hill and does not have an elevator. The balcony area overlooked the street and provided views of Al Hambra structures. The staff was friendly and helpful. Garage parking was available approximately 100 meters up the hill from the hotel.
- Lin (6/5): - The location is close to Alhambra. They have breakfast option in the bar next door starting at 7am.
The room condition is just basic. There is no water kettle or coffee machine in room.
- Ben (10/5): - A traditional hotel in the perfect location for walking to the Alhambra, the old town, and other major sites. Beautiful rooftop terrace with views of the neighborhood and the fortified Alhambra towers, and welcoming hosts.
- Iryna (10/5): - We were staying in the heart of old city Granada, great location and everything was walkable distances.
The hotel has a 4 floors with opening terrace and spectacular views!
Very recommended!!
- Susan (8/5): Perfect stay. Car drivers take note. - Super location, with fabulous old streets & plazas to walk around. Near plentiful bars, cafes, restaurants, artisan shops & historic monuments.
Lovely family run guest house with quaint cafe next door for breakfast, coffee etc.
Secure underground parking spaces a few doors away, at extra cost of €20, as shown in finer details.
Essential to contact ahead if arriving by car, as the owners can enter your car registration to authorise entry into their controlled historic district. You will find 2 large silver bollards block the road that you need to drive up. Pull up to the bollards & press speaker button on left. Say hotel name & the person will lower bollards to allow entry.
- Malcolm (10/5): - Great place to stay!
- Tony (10/5): - Location and lucky to have parking at the property
- Iain (10/5): Pension Landazuri recommended - We really enjoyed our stay at Pension Landazuri. The owners are super friendly and helpful, especially with regards to parking. The pension is in a great location, close to the Alhambra and the Centro of Granada. It’s clean, comfortable and characterful. Our room was huge and the bed was comfortable. The cafe next door does great lunches and breakfasts that are both filling and reasonably priced. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again on our next visit to Granada!
- Mackenzie (10/5): - Such a lovely, beautiful, cozy stay! I felt as if I was a guest in someone's beautifully decorated house. The cafe next to the hotel was delicious and affordable, and we were only minutes away walking from the Alhambra. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
- GLADYS (10/5): - We stayed two nights at this accommodation, and the ladies who managed it were very friendly and helpful. The room with two single beds was very cozy and comfortable. The second night was a bit noisy with people talking very loud at very early hours of the morning, also, when the coffee shop located next to this accommodation which opens very early as well, we heard a lot of noise going on as well. I think a sign reminding guests to keep their voices low would help everyone to have a better stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - So COLD! Although there is radiator in room, but room is still so cold! I believe owners are aware of the coldness. There are two layers of comforters on bed, which makes the night heavy and barely warm
- Julia L (10/5): Lovely if not perfect - Very nice place on a VERY steep street! The room is lovely, but the wifi very weak.
- Maria (10/5): - Kind staff and well kept rooms
- Sofia (10/5): - This is a fantastic little hotel (a pensión) located right on la cuesta de Gomerez, which leads directly to the Alhambra on a 20 minute walk up the hill. If you go down on the street you get to plaza nueva and the main attractions (churches, Albaycin neighborhood, hundreds of restaurants) in 2 minutes. We could see the Alhambra from our balcony and from the nice terrace. The hotel has lots of character, the room, bathroom and the beds are very nice, modern and comfortable. Next door, the hotel has a cafetería which was perfect for having a very reasonably priced breakfast everyday. Being vegan, we didnt have a lot of options but enjoyed the tostada con tomate, the coffee and tea with oat milk. The owner and the guy at the réception were very nice and gave us good recommendations (for example the amazing Hicuri vegan restaurant). We love this hotel, and we will come back!
- Armando (10/5): - It was amazing!
- Nora (10/5): - My family and I enjoyed our stay, this was a great location for us and we greatly appreciated how welcoming and friendly this family owned inn was. And such beautiful decor, it’s like a gallery inside.
- salman (10/5): - This location is perfect because it is only 10 minutes walk from Alhambra. Very close to the city center and other main areas of Granada. Many restaurants and bars nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
- Marcia (10/5): - Family run and family oriented. Elisa and Matilde are wonderful hosts, knowledgeable about the areas history, happy to share tips about getting around Granada, and just lovely all round people. Highly reccomend this wonderful hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very simple hotel with a friendly hosts. Close to Alhambra. Good breakfast
- Elizabeth (8/5): Central location, comfortable stay but no WiFi - Pension Landazuri is centrally located close to the Alhambra, Santa Ana square , Albayzin etc. My stay was comfortable and the owners are welcoming, gracious and helpful. The rooftop and garden patio are nice. But you cannot get WiFi in your room. The only common areas where you can get WiFi are the ground floor where the reception is (there is a chair you can sit on), the stairs and the smaller patio. This is a huge problem especially for international visitors. I could not book tours or use the internet for anything else from my room. I had also hoped to get some work done after a day of sightseeing but I could not as I had to either sit on the stairs (with the lights going out because they are motion sensitive) or in the cold patio where there is no light. I din't want to make personal WhatsApp calls in the open areas either. I would suggest that the owners make this a priority that needs to be fixed right away. Please call the company or speak to a technician and get the password you have lost.
- John Henry (10/5): - Great location, comfortable spacious room and friendly staff. Newer bathroom. Street is vibrant during the day but quiet at night.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Pensión Landazuri felt like a home away from home for me - the family are delightful & so helpful & kind, the adjoining cafe next door was my breakfast haunt every day - great jamon y queso omelette & coffee. The rooftop terrace with view of the Alcazaba was a peaceful place to sit, and I loved all the traditional decorations (tiles, mirrors, plates, vases etc). The location was perfect! I love Granada, & this Pensión is a big part of that!! Thank you ☺️
- Joachim (10/5): Lovely hostel - Lovely little hostel within an easy walk of the Alhambra. We didn't have time to enjoy the rooftop terrace garden much but it looked very nice.
No bar or restaurant but there was plenty of choice of both a few minutes walk away in the city centre.
The downside is that it was very difficult to drive to with lots of one-way streets and restricted traffic roads to confuse a satnav. Secure parking is available nearby but is not cheap for a car (which was not mentioned in Hotels.com); we were kindly allowed to park our motorbike in a corner of the garage.
- Wendy (8/5): Quiet area. - This is in a lovely quiet area, on a hill.
It was very clean, good bed but hard pillows.
Breakfast is next door in a cafe, great food & prices.
Overall, our stay was pleasant enough & would recommend to those on a budget.
- Bradley (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay. The room was perfect. The staff went out of their way to help us. Parking was easy once you get there.
So convenient to the Alhambra. We toured several areas of the city.
- Ariel (10/5): - Very good location, very nice staff and cute place, private indoor parking, excellent
- Derek (8/5): - Good
- Jonathan (10/5): - Great location. Nice staff. Comfortable and large quite room. Near everything.
- Scott (10/5): - A charming little classic hostal. Amazing balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- Rosemary (6/5): - The rooms were very basic with the most uncomfortable pillows I have ever experienced. The towels were not changed despite us staying 3 nights.
- Elaf (10/5): - Great place
- Bruce (10/5): - Lovely family owned, friendly and knowledgeable. Parking 10 metres from doors. 10 min walk to Alhambra.
- Wen (8/5): - Very good
- joanna (10/5): - We stayed here for few days and everything was amazing. The owner of the place is super friendly, welcoming and very nice. The location is great. Few minutes away from alhambra and restaurants ... We had a great time in Granada. We highly recommend Pension Landazuri to everyone who wants to visit Granada. Good price and very clean.
- Margaret (10/5): - clean rooms in a lovely old Arabic house with a great terrace..two infact..24 hr reception..friendly staff...on the hill to the Alhambra
- Kelsey (10/5): - We loved it here! It was so beautiful and unique! So charming that it was not a typical hotel experience, but with all the convenience of a conventional hotel! The family that runs the hotel is so kind and welcoming!
- Helen (8/5): 2 night family stay in a heat wave in August - Such a friendly hotel, the owners went above and beyond to help us reach them and park our car £20a night.
The garden/balcony at the top was just beutifull.
The hotel didn't have air con but fans, it was hot at 40 degrees.
Breakfast next door was just fab, tomatoes on toast & cheese and chorizo omelette, with fresh orange juice, the kids loved it.
Get a Granada card, recommend by the hotel and worked out much cheaper.
- SukSang (10/5): - Close to all attractions
- Colleen (8/5): - Family run bed & breakfast; great for the price. Messaged them ahead of time to ask for 2 separate beds and luggage storage after check out - both requests accommodated. Only had 1 night in Granada - location perfect for what we wanted to do, which was visit the Alhambra, Arab baths, and walk the Albaicin. Not a bad walk from the train station.
- Gary (8/5): Experience Granada History and Hospitality - The owners were very kind and helpful. It is a wonderful location just a few minutes from the Distrito Centro. The hotel is quaint with a wonderful 3rd floor patio overlooking the area. It is not a hotel for anyone with mobility issues because of the stairs and lack of an elevator. The room was comfortable and eco-friendly.
- Gabriel G (10/5): - Everything was great at the hotel. We had to park elsewhere because our car was too wide for their parkade.
- EDMUNDO (6/5): - great location, it is an old, old house adapted as a hotel/hostal, this place takes you back in time
- Aniuska (8/5): - Don’t leave windows open, too many flies
- colin (8/5): - The property is situated near the main attraction. The owners had parking available in a safe garage and communications from them was good. They informed us of their pleasant terrace on 4th floor which gave fantastic views over Granada. The cafe next door was owned by the son and ideal for breakfast.
- Sarah and Richard (10/5): - Lovely family run authentic hotel. Charm & character everywhere.
So helpful & chatty in English.
Location is primo - Heart of old town Granada, under Alhambra. Great terrace views especially at night of Alhambra. Perfect. Definitely recommend +++
- Heather (10/5): - If you had a grandmother in Spain, this is how her house would be and how she would take care of you. Great location with view of Alhambra! Great staff! Room was clean and comfortable. Note: our room didn't have air conditioning but it was cool at night and we brought our own fan so we were comfortable. Also, no elevators so if you have lot of luggage or accessibility issues this isn't the place for you. Overall, we enjoyed our visit very much!
- Cristina (8/5): - Amazing staff!
- Claire (10/5): - Fabulous no frills but very charming old style pensione experience. Access to 4th floor terrace with cozy seats and wonderful views. Kind, extremely helpful staff. There is no elevator so be prepared to climb some stairs, which is well worth it if you’re able.
- Karen (8/5): Cute pension near Alhambra - Great little pension near Alhambra. Very friendly and helpful owners. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Wifi didn't work well in the room. There are many stairs, and there is no lift which is typical in this type of accommodation. It's halfway up the big hill but a taxi can take you most of the way.
- KWANGIL (10/5): - the spirit of hospitality is vivid. very kind and considerate
- Sarah (10/5): - Loved this place! Amazing location, great rooftop Terrance, cozy vibe
- Dennis (8/5): - Location
- Nathalie (10/5): - Fantastic location and property. However it is in a restricted driving area so be sure to contact the property a few days prior with your license plate so they can register it. And dont count on google maps to get you to the right location! Once we arrived it was totally worth it.
- Bilkis (10/5): - This is a cozy place; the staff were super nice.Very convenient location.
- Sunny (8/5): - Very Close to Alhambra; liked breakfast next door, very friendly staff.
- Hans (10/5): - The pension is in the historic area of Granada, easy access to all the main sights. The owners are amazingly helpful and friendly. The “family” also owns the cafe next door for a great breakfast a very reasonable prices. Definitely a place to stay.
- Natalya (6/5): - Greate area, nice decoration, clean, comfortable, helpful owner.
There is no lift, breakfast is very agreeable , but not at the property as you would expect according to the photographs, but at the café next door.
- David (10/5): - Simply fantastic; stunning view of the Alhambra.
- Hongkun (8/5): - convenient location to Alhambra.
Cafe next door.
- Ann (8/5): - Great location a 5 minute walk from the Alhambra. It’s a good value for the location. It was adequately clean and the staff was friendly. Our windows opened onto the street, and we had great views!
- Linda (10/5): - Great location in the heart of town, easy walk to the Alhambra and the Albacin (forget Google Maps - look at a real map to see an easy, direct walking route), loads of restaurants, souvenir shopping and more upscale shopping nearby. The owners are extremely thoughtful and accommodating, and the price is outstanding. Yes, it's not a sleek, shiny $$ hotel, but it's clean and charming, and the shared terrace even has a view of the Alhambra illuminated at night. I planned to stay two days but ended up with a third, which is why you might see two reviews here by me. I highly recommend this pensión!
- Paola Beatriz (8/5): - This Pension has so much potential, the owner is wonderful, the location is incredible, the view is fantastic and the cafe is perfect for breakfast. The only minus is the actual rooms. The pillows, the sheets, blankets, the towels are very old. And the rooms could use a bit of TLC, but we would probably stay there again because the owner is so nice and the workers are very helpful
- FEDERICO (10/5): Great stay! recommended for a nice and cozy stay - Beautiful, it feels homy and it has a lot of personality.
The ladies attending it are super nice and friendly, and the location is great to see Granada and Alhambra 100% on foot.
- Greg (6/5): Great location, okay hotel - The hotel is in a great location near the Alhambra and plenty of shopping and good food options. The hotel is quaint and appears to be the home of residents and hotel guests. Upon arrival there were no towels in the room and the lights were not working. It was not ideal, but manageable.
The room was adequate and beds were not very comfortable with little climate control. It felt damp and wet in the room at all times.
The cafe next door is a highlight of the area. Great breakfast at a resonable proce. It was an okay start to our trip, but we would probably not stay here again.
- Russell (10/5): - This hostal has been run by the same family since 1956. While the rooms are modernized, the rest of the building retains its old-world charm.
- Wieslaw (8/5): - Very nice and helpfull staff.
Small room but big patio on the roof. Excellent location.
Bathroom , especially shover needs renovation!
Amazing interior decoration.
- Michael (10/5): Outstanding Place, Great Location - This place is outstanding! You couldn't ask for a better location if you're here in Granada for Alhambra, and the service was incredible. They were so attentive and nice, I even got an unnecessary free breakfast out of the deal!
- Barbara (10/5): - The friendly, helpful staff, beautiful antique decorations and gorgeous terrace overlooking Granada make this a perfect place to stay. It's located right on the road to one of the Alhambra entrances, AND it's completely quiet and relaxing to stay here. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the shower was great. You can enjoy a perfect view of the Alhambra from the terrace too!
