• Ellen (9/5): British hospitality at the best! - The best way to experience the British hospitality with lovely breakfast cooked by the gentle and kind owners of the B&B. Perfect location with the centre within walking distance and perfect place to park you car.

• Bruce (10/5): - Hosts Paul & Heidi are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fresh cooked, plentiful, & delicious. Location is less than a mile from the cathedral, with the river and parkland nearby. Some excellent Asian restaurants only a short walk away, and plenty more options downtown. Rooms are a little small, not much room for luggage. However, bathroom and shower were spacious.

• Jonore (10/5): Superfijn verblijf, goede accommodatie met heerlijk ontbijt en gastvrije vriendelijke hosts! - Wij hadden een super fijn verblijf van drie nachten in Harriets House. De gastvrouw en gastheer zijn heel vriendelijk en servicegericht. Tegelijkertijd heb je ook alle privacy. De kamer was licht en prettig, met een fijn tweepersoonsbed (dat hadden wij bewust gekozen, er zijn ook kamers met twin bedden), kleine maar heel functionele badkamer met goede douche. Alles heel schoon en comfortabel. Wij hadden een kamer aan de voorkant maar dat is toch rustig gelegen en ‘s nachts is het stil. En heeft leuk uitzicht over het veld aan de overkant van de weg. Ontbijt is zowel vers gemaakt nav je bestelling, als ook een buffet waar je kunt pakken wat je wilt en ook dat is allemaal vers gemaakt en neergezet. Parkeren is op een afgesloten terrein achter de B&B, je kunt altijd (ook ‘s avonds laat) naar binnen met je sleutel. Je kunt wandelend naar het centrum van Canterbury, vlak bij de B&B is een wandelpad langs het riviertje The Stour. Canterbury heeft mooie straatjes met veel historie en leuke winkeltjes. Uiteraard ook The Cathedral. Voor dagtripjes kun je bijvoorbeeld naar Dover (Dover Castle, White Cliffs) en vanaf station Canterbury West ben je binnen een uur in London. Een hele fijne B&B op een goede locatie.
• Jeffrey (10/5): We were very pleased with the accomodations, the hosts and the food. - The room is well furnished, clean, beautifully appointed bathroom. Paul is a trained chef. The breakfast offerings were delicious. The location is great for walking to all the sights Cantebury offers. We connected by bus or train easily to day trips outside Cantebury. Heide graciously accomodated us with a room change when my husband had difficulty with his walking. The hosts were genuingly interrsted in hearing about our plans and checked in again to see how our day went. Nothing to note as disliked. We were very pleased.

We travelled by car, and the secure on‑site parking made it convenient and worry‑free to leave the vehicle overnight. Breakfast was cooked to a high standard, and the room offered all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Canterbury or the surrounding area, whether for leisure or business.

I did chose the cheapest available option but would have been better if I knew what I was getting into.

They were so warm and welcoming, but also so funny and lovely to talk to!! It was my husband’s birthday during the stay and they surprised us with Prosecco at breakfast! Me and my husband are vegans so we always have a low expectation of what will be served at breakfast but oh my goodness Paul is the most fantastic cook! The breakfast was better than a restaurant - we asked for the recipe!! Also such a generous amount of food available. We will definitely be coming back - we’ve told everyone to go stay at Harriet House! Super close to the town and a stones throw from a newsagents. Beautiful walk into the town from Harriet House. We will be back!! Nothing!

• Peter (10/5): Good location with private parking and an exceptional breakfast - Hosts are very helpful and friendly. Rooms clean, everything is provided in the room with a very comfortable bed, a good nights sleep is guaranteed here. An off road private and secure parking space is a big bonus in a city. The breakfast was exceptional, lots of choice for everyone, the eggs (no matter how you have them cooked) was a particular highlight for me ! The location is a 10-15 minute walk along the riverside in the heart of Canterbury and a 10 minute walk along well lit roads to a variety of eating choices. When in the area again I would definitely use this B & B again, it has everything and does everything well. There is nothing not to like.

Free parking in Canterbury is also a big plus:) Only an easy 15-minute walk to the city centre, along the riverside. Breakfast was really good. Heidi and Paul were wonderful hosts.

Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer. Es gab ein tolles Frühstück und wir konnten unser Auto auf dem Innenhof parkieren, welcher über Nacht abgeschlossen wurde. Es war in diesem Dachzimmer ohne Klimaanlage warm. Es kann allerdings sein, dass solch warme Sommertage in Canterbury selten sind. Das Doppelbett war gemütlich, hätte aber ein wenig breiter sein können.
• Howard (10/5): Excellent spot in a quiet area close to West Gate. - I had a wonderful stay here. It's super clean and in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of many sites. I'm a backpacker so I walked everywhere local. Close to W. Canterbury train -- 15-20 minutes max. Room was very comfortable and had a great bed and shower. Kettle and coffee and tea and mini- fridge. Paul and Heidi run a great spot and the cooked-to-order breakfast is terrific. The best I've had in my England travels of over a month. Nice people who go the extra mile. I look forward to returning.

La struttura è accogliente e pulitissima, la camera che ci è stata assegnata era spaziosa e arredata bene, c'era tutto quello di cui potevamo aver bisogno e anche di più, una scatola piena di dolcetti e di tè e caffè. Ci hanno lasciato dell' acqua nel frigo e detto che potevamo prendere dall' armadio del corridoio tutte le scorte di biscotti e tè che volevamo. Il letto era più grande di un matrimoniale standard! Comodissimo! I proprietari sono persone dolcissime e ci hanno aiutato a orientarci appena arrivati e consigliato un posto dove cenare che era davvero delizioso. Le loro colazioni sono incredibili, oltre al buffet la sera prima si ordina quello che si vuole e la mattina ti portano il piatto pronto. È un luogo curato e silenzioso, non lontano dal centro città e si può usufruire gratuitamente del parcheggio privato. Se mai torneremo a Canterbury sappiamo già dove alloggeremo! Niente!

• Inga (10/5): - Das Harriet House ist eine super gelegene Unterkunft, innerhalb von zehn Minuten ist man im Stadtzentrum. Heidi & Paul sind unglaublich herzliche Gastgeber. Unser Zimmer war sehr modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber, wir hatten sogar einen kleinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Das Frühstück war unglaublich lecker und man konnte aus vielen verschiedenen Optionen wählen. Viele Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt. :-)

• Maximilian (10/5): Best B&B in Canterbury - The Harriet House Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful place to stay. The hosts, Heidi and Paul, are fantastic. They always seem genuinely happy, which brightened my day. The rooms are just perfect – very clean and equipped with everything one might need. One of the highlights is definitely the breakfast. It was the best B&B breakfast I’ve ever had. The main course is freshly cooked, and many of the extras like granola and jam are homemade. All in all, the Harriet House is the perfect place to stay in Canterbury. You can really feel the love and care that went into creating this B&B.

Heidi and Paul were excellent hosts – nothing was too much trouble. They were friendly attentive and very professional. Sound on the television was poor, but it’s a very small criticism.
• Penelope (9/5): Superb - I had a lovely stay at Harriet House recently. Heidi and Paul are wonderful hosts and their B&B is the perfect place to stay for a visit to Canterbury. It's a 15-20 minute serene walk along the pretty canal to the Cathedral and into town. The B&B is very clean, comfortable and quiet and breakfast was plentiful! Loved the fresh fruit salad. I will undoubtedly be staying there again on my next visit.

Everything was clean & pristine and in good working order with a plentiful supply of tea/coffee in the room, breakfasts were excellent Our ground floor room was a little “snug” but bigger rooms are available. It was useful having no stairs though and we quickly adapted

• Christine (10/5): Harriet House is the perfect B and B experience, fabulous hosts, delicious breakfasts, lovely room. - Heidi and Paul are wonderful hosts. Our room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. Harriet House is well located in a quiet location, an easy walk to Canterbury Cathedral and all amenities. Breakfast choices were excellent and delicious. It was great to have on-site parking as this is not always an option so close to city areas. There is nothing not to like. We wish we could have stayed longer.

The room was spotless and roomy and the bed was comfortable! The hosts suggested a place for dinner and it was one of the best dinners we had on our 2 week visit. The hosts were SO HELPFUL and PROFESSIOAL and FRIENDLY!!! WE loved that we could walk everywhere - LOCATION was FANTASTIC!!! Highly recommend! Would recommend a stay of at least 2 nights
