Guest Reviews

Cheap, budget friendly, clean, comfortable
- Dale (8/5): Great value hotel. - This is my goto place now if I am working in the area. It's not the fanciest place, but it is functional, comfortable and excellent value for money. Met expectations.

- Patrick (8/5): An excellent place to stay - Very conveniently situated for Yeovil’s facilities. Clean, well maintained and managed. Staff very pleasant and I had no hesitation in booking with them again. Value for money. Nothing.
- RICHARD (6/5): -
- Emma (7/5): Basic but does the trick! - Close to all local attactions, and very affordable. Room was ideal for a 1 night stay. Room was very hot, was given a fan in the room but made minimal difference. Bathroom had a drain/sewage smell. Confusion at check in, as was told booking.com had cancelled the reservation, but appeared it was actually cancelled by the property. Who then offered us the same rate, so a bit of stress and after a long drive, wasnt most appreciated.
- Ka (10/5): - Very nice and quiet place, very close to cinema, restaurants and bowling.Housekeeping On really high level with lovely and friendly ladies.

- Claire (9/5): I needed some where to stay and this fit the bill. Room was lovely and clean and tidy and the staff was really helpful a - Close to town centre, just what I needed x Just a little bit on the small side but over all for just sleeping it’s all good x
I know a lot say this but lack of parking is an issue but because of the location I don’t think they can magic up parking spaces unless they make a deal with the parking company by the bowling alley x
- Pucka (8/5): -
- Guest (9/5): -
- Arthur (10/5): - Friendly helpful staff, great central location, smack bang in town center,
- quayle (9/5): Sleep easy - Good location. Close to boozers and eateries. Nowt
- Catherine Pinchen (10/5): A great welcome and location and excellent service we will definitely come back again - Everything was very comfortable and very clean and smelt lovely always and it was a perfect location, the staff were amazing and soo kind and polite and respectful and they did everything to make our stay comfortable offering extra towels and it was a very relaxed atmosphere
- Rideout (1/5): Didn't stay in the end - The reviews, the whole look of the hotel
- Catherine (10/5): Great stay and very affordable and perfect trip in Yeovil - It is very clean and they provide biscuits on arrival in room, such a lovely location next to nine spring waterfalls and woodlands walk only a few mins away, has eating places next to it and a small town with shops and there is Cineworld and a gym and bowling area also opposite hotel, rooms are great and the staff were very welcoming and helpful and it was a very relaxed stay.
- Linda (8/5): - All was nice and tidy All ok
- Shellie (8/5): -
- J (8/5): Does the job well - Good location. Lovely staff. It’s clean and safe. It’s hot in there. It only gets hotter once one of you washes. We were ready with the window open and the fan mounted but be warned.
- Robert (10/5): - Great to have bourbon biscuits!
- Tabitha (9/5): - Great little hotel in the centre of Yeovil. The double bed was a little small and a little soft. While we managed as I was sharing with my 12 yo daughter it wouldn't have accommodated my 6 ft husband.
- Zara-Louise (7/5): Convenient location, pleasant staff members. - I liked how close it was to our event, we liked being on the top floor and liked the fact that we had a fan in our room I didn’t like the fact that there wasn’t enough room for my partners legs when using the toilet due to it being facing the bathtub, we didn’t have any shampoo and conditioner, I probably could’ve asked for it but we just bought some

- Ibrahim (8/5): -
- Martin (7/5): - Room was clean and tea facilities provided. Receptionist was polite but English as a second language not ideal. Location is not great. Public car park opposite but not clear how to find it from the hotel. No breakfast on offer so expensive for just rooms. Local map would have been helpful as very confusing area to navigate if unfamiliar with the area. Bed was uncomfortable as mattress to soft

- William (7/5): Ok till found them to be rude - Was nice and comfortable! The fact they charged me for my gf being in her monthly and getting a bit of blood on the sheets they made us both fell bad and embarrassed my gf? All just to keep the deposit
- Mogabor (5/5): -
- Marlene (10/5): Comfortable, clean, staff pleasant and helpful. - Well situated and a classic old building.
- Alan (10/5): Pleased, relaxing sleep - I didn't know about breakfast but if judging the hotel I should imagine it is exceptional Nothing could have been better
- Jake (8/5): Worth a stay there if hitting the town would recommend - Close to night life and very polite clerk Only thing was the bed was on wheels and moved a bit, not a big deal other than that great room
- Roshini (10/5): -
- Magda (7/5): - Little comfy room with ensuite bathroom It was too hot
- Elizabeth (7/5): An experience. 😊 - Clean, had a small double room, which was certainly small., but had everything I needed. Doors banging very loudly at 3/4am! People arguing very loudly at 7am. Not the Hotels fault, but didn't get much sleep the 4 nights I stayed.
- Marvellous (10/5): -
- Simon (9/5): -
- Nicola (9/5): Value for money - It was close to everything and the staff on the front desk were exceptionally helpful.
- Heal (3/5): This stay was awful the room was too small, not the standard it was online I want a refund if I can - I liked the pillows.
I liked the ending The cleanliness. The politeness. The comfort. The space. The tv. The communication. Actually getting breakfast. The bathroom was way too small.
- Suzanne (7/5): It was all ok, a bit pricey, but not as bad as some of the reviews - Location was good as I travelled by coach and this was nearby the bus station.
Room 101 was a good size, light and airy compared to some other rooms I was shown as alternative options. It was also on the ground floor.
I felt comfortable in the room. Its had a tv that worked ( I think you might need to bring passwords etc for any subscriptions streaming channels. It had a desk. Mirrors etc I was surprised that there wasn't any wardrobe. But there were a number of coat hooks on the wall near the door. So bring some folding travel coat hangers if needed. There were just three draws in the desk.
My biggest gripe was the mattress was too soft. However in fairness on bring shown other rooms that I could have had, its possible the mattresses may have been firmer in other rooms, but I liked the 'vibe' of room 101. It would be great if hotels provided firm mattress toppers to resolve such issues. I don't know if this exists as a design idea but it would be useful if hotel mattresses had a soft and firm side to give such options (?)
Also there was a green ceiling light which couldn't be turned off. I think it may have been a light to show where the door was in case of a fire perhaps but it was annoying! So bring a sleep mask.
I find it strange that there's no food served at all at the hotel or even vouchers given to have meals at nearby eateries eg Wetherspoons was nearby.
Room 101 had one window which was on the road side. So if passers-by were talking loudly outside they could be heard, this happened occasionally on both nights.
Lastly - I do need to mention a SCAM situation. Prior to my visit I received a what's app message with a booking.com page highlighting my exact dates of travel and picture of the hotel and my name etc. It had memos from the named hotel including a (falsely) named receptionist and hotel manager and photos of the manager etc. It asked me to re-enter my payment card details to confirm my booking and if I didn't do this my booking would be cancelled! So I did this in panic. Then it said my card wasn't supported and to try another card. At that point I realised this was possibly a very convincing scam. I brought this to the attention of booking.com and Terrace Lodge both blamed each other. Hotel confirmed it was a scam.
- Daniel (9/5): - Great little hotel, perfect location and very good value for money.

- Jake (10/5): -
- Ben (9/5): -
- simon (7/5): Good location - No breakfast Heating not hot
- Na (10/5): - Central, comfortable, Relaxing bath. Friendly staff and atmosphere 😁 Had to leave
- Tom (6/5): Apart from no sleep because of the light it was fine. - Lots of parking nearby. Good location. No heating in the room when I arrived and I had to figure out how to turn it on. Also there was some security light in the room that you couldn’t turn off and it was really bright.
- Bryant (10/5): A Cosy Nights Stay - Excellent location you can just walk right into the centre of town within a couple of minutes and the staff are friendly and helpful the room itself was warm and just the right size and you had a choice of Bath or Shower it's all l you need for a hotel Maybe a little noisy at times but being in the heart of the town I expected it otherwise nothing that would ruin your stay experience
- Rich (8/5): We we're up for a family funeral. - Convenient for our needs.
- Pauline (10/5): -
- Marc (8/5): - A really nice cosy comfy room. A 5 min walk into town aswell No on site parking
- Sayda (8/5): -
- Jake (9/5): Excellent service and great room - Mostly everything was perfect, the staff are fantastic, lots to watch on the tv, good bedroom and bathroom, I can see how this hotel is perfect for a business trip, and great for leisure. Only things I’d point out but weren’t really an issue just a preference was regarding the bed. The mattress is very soft and the bed moves on wheels, again more a preference that the mattress is a bit firmer, and the bed frame wheels I do understand due to cleaning for guests and is fairly secure against the wall, not a complaint by any means as the rest of the service outweighs a simple preference. Great place to stay!
- Sandra (10/5): Nice place - Last minute booking. Lady o. Reception was polite and helpful and friendly. Room was clean and idea for my needs Nothing
- Brandon (7/5): Great value in the town centre - The location Small room
- Ian (9/5): -
- Angela (5/5): - The rooms are very compact
- Pauline (10/5): -
- Anita (7/5): Very acceptable - Position Parking
- Sue (9/5): Affordable, clean and the staff were very friendly - It was affordable and in a good location. Room was clean Very soft mattress on the bed which was very uncomfortable. Would have been good if it had free parking
- Julianne (6/5): Disappointed with the location - Bed was comfortable. Reception staff friendly and helpful. There was no hot water in the shower. No close parking. Had to pay public car park and walk a few minutes in heavy rain with luggage. Room was very small. When we opened the door it hit the end of the bed.
- Richard (9/5): -
- jw (4/5): Good location but a very uncomfortable bed with poor sleep - Good location and the staff we’re very pleasant The bed was the most uncomfortable bed i’ve ever slept in and the emergency light which was in the middle of the room it’s green led light lit up the room making it difficult to sleep!
- Walsh (8/5): - The location is very central.
- Rudo (8/5): - Pleasant staff
- Arnab (8/5): -
- Mark (9/5): Terrace Lodge Hotel, thumbs up - Nice, clean, excellent and quiet location to the town. No breakfast but not a big issue as the value was great and plenty of dining in town.
- Amy (9/5): -
- Lewis (5/5): -
- Pascal (8/5): -
- Emily (8/5): -
- Alison (10/5): - Very clean and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Nothing at all
- Ankur (10/5): -
- Hancock (7/5): Would use again now I know the location - room and facilities were good and comfortable Location and finding the hotel at first - then finding out there was free parking opposite when had just parked behind hotel!
- Barbara (3/5): Horrible bed but great location - Great and friendly guy at the reception. The most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. I literally had a backache after
- Wynne (1/5): Save your hard earned cash and go somewhere else. - Staff member was polite. The bed was bumpy and the room was cold. Toilet roll holder positioned at the back of the toilet, one towel for two people. Noise excessive. Banging going on at early hours. As you can see from the pictures, the state of the art fire system written on the white sheet doesn't resemble what's on the back of the door. The "wardrobe" was hung on the wall, but the room itself resembled sleeping in a wardrobe. Could hear the plumbing system when other guests used the shower and toilet. Horrendous.
- IAIN (8/5): Good value. Very comfortable stay - Bed very comfortable but no parking here No parking
- Lee (10/5): -
- Jeffrey (9/5): -
- Biddulph (7/5): -
- Lorraine (8/5): Excellent stay - Location was excellent.
Gentleman on reception was very helpful.
Our first room was very small but they moved us to a bigger room next day. Bed was very comfortable. When we arrived, the room was very small (small double) even though I'd booked a double room.
The bed was way too soft.
- Paula (8/5): Ok - Great location it was great for what we wanted man on the desk was very nice and helpful From the outside doesn't look great but once inside it's OK it's clean and serves the purpose to get your head down
- sandy (9/5): -
- Hilary (7/5): Fulfilled its purpose - Excellent location, very helpful staff, very generous complimentary tea & coffee, good shower. Felt the springs in the bed; noisy until quite late as my room was opposite the back door of a restaurant.
